We had great service today and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. They were also dog friendly for our little dog.

Exquisite. Small and intimate restaurant with superb clean Chinese dishes. Lovely service and excellent presentation.

Very good food, great concept and a small but fine menu. The owner was also very friendly and always attentive. The prices are justified by London standards and it's worth it. definitely a recommendation

This place is a gem. The food is gorgeous and the tiny little restaurant is beautifully decorated and welcoming. Cho was our host and took us through the options - not a massive menu but a great selection of veggie, fish and meat options. We ate it all. We started with some delicious cocktails and moved onto wine - another short but carefully collated menu. I loved that people were dropping in on a Sunday lunchtime for a couple of plates and a large cocktail - people up West know how to have a good time. I would definitely recommend.

The presentation of the food is top notch, and the taste very good. If the taste were improved a bit, it would be amazing. Highly recommended if you have a higher budget.

Lovely Chinese tapas-style food! Dog friendly and great service

This place is well located, it's a lovely area, and the service was great. That was sadly let down by the fact that the food was pretty dire. We ordered nearly the whole menu, needed also because the portions are tiny given the 'tapas', and nothing was particularly well flavoured, well cooked, or felt all that interesting to eat. A real shame as we were looking forward to this one!

So for London standard I gave it 4 stars, but for Taiwanese standard….this is probably worth 2 stars only :/ it’s quite pricey but their Taiwanese food tastes nothing like Taiwanese food. It’s more like someone trying to cook some dishes “looking a bit like Taiwanese food”, I guess for westerners it’s fine to try, but if you are from Taiwan and expect you could eat Taiwanese food here you would be highly disappointed.

We came from US to visit London and found this cute traditional Chinese restaurant. The food was amazing and the owner was really friendly and nice guy. We chatted a lot. We enjoyed and highly recommended this Chinese restaurant!

The interior of the restaurant is beautifuly decorated and the ambiance was relaxing and a bit romantic. The food was excellent and I like having tapas of Asian food.

Went to Chojo with my partner and had a fantastic meal. Amazing advice given from the owner on dishes, all of them immaculate. Will be returning in the future to sample more of the menu as it seems you can’t put a foot wrong. Highly recommend and many thanks to the Chojo team!

Friendly and classy neighbourhood spot. Nostalgic flavours served fresh and with care, in small plates akin to Dim Sum, but essentially small versions of dinner dishes - salted egg prawn and the seabass (order with white rice) are some of the highlights. Loose leaf tea was served in a traditional Chinese teacup, with many further brews per cup. Went for a quiet Sunday lunch, much more relaxed than the usual weekday evenings.

We celebrated Chinese New Year’s Eve at Cho Jo. Our delightful feast included drunken chicken, prawn rolls, sea bass in black bean sauce, Taiwanese braised pork rice, asparagus, and Korean spicy fried chicken. For dessert, we savored mango pudding and black sesame ice cream. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Thank you!

We visited for dinner on a Saturday. It is a tiny place, seating just 25 covers or so. The decor was nice and seating was comfortable. Our family of 2 adults and 2 young kids ordered the edamame, Korean spicy chicken, salt & chilli salmon, sea bass, salted egg prawns, veg spring rolls, asparagus, cucumber salad, beef fried noodles and some steamed rice. The food was generally quite nice. The Korean chicken was a highlight! The sea bass was also very good. There were a couple of items we didn’t enjoy as much - such as the salted egg prawn and the cucumber salad - I suspect these dishes may have been a bit more authentic and less catered to the western palate. Dessert wasn’t enticing so we skipped it. Service was quite friendly and initially very quick, albeit we were the first table to arrive that evening. I believe we may have been served by the owner and he was the only person front of house, so things understandably did get a bit slower as the place got busier. Our bill came to £160 of which £45 was spent on drinks. Overall an enjoyable dinner in a quaint setting with reasonable prices. I look forward to a repeat visit.

In a cozy and soothing atmosphere, we discovered gourmet Chinese cuisine with Asian influences, especially Korean. The menu offers around twenty dishes: simple presentation in small porcelain dishes, freshness of the ingredients, subtle aromas and flavors, all that was missing was the service provided by the very available and friendly owner!

Delightful casual dining. We shared five dishes between two. Super friendly service and fairly quick. Tom Yum Pineapple rice has a nice zing.

Absolutely delicious food and drinks. Wasn’t able to get a photo because we devoured it all before I could even think about it! We ordered just about every item off of the food menu and every dish was absolutely 10/10. The establishment itself was VERY clean. Had a nice chat with the owner after our meal as well. Fantastic Taiwanese restaurant serving the same dishes and flavors I’m used to getting in Taiwan. Broad variety of dishes on the menu served in small plate style. Lots of vegetarian options, and a very cute restaurant. An absolute must try.

Really, really, really enjoyed our evening here for my partners birthday! The food was so good and the server was wonderful - super nice, attentive without being annoying and knowledgeable. I had asked if they could do any little special birthday dessert for my partner and they brought out the cutest sweet steamed peach buns (apparently it’s tradition to give peaches on someone’s birthday). They refused to charge us for those as well, which was so nice of them. Highly recommend- I don’t think I could pick a favourite dish, they were all delicious! Can’t wait to go back!

What a truly amazing family restaurant. While portions are gourmet in size, they are filling and yummy. The choice of cuisine itself is creatively positioned as a mix of tapas and Asian street food. It was a pleasure to return after many years and see they have not dropped their standards one single bit since they opened!

Best Chinese food in London. The price is quite expensive but considering it is located at one of London's most expensive neighbourhoods, it's understandable. Food is not only authentic and delicious but is also made of fresh and high quality materials. The atmosphere is so cozy and warm, it's a wonderful place for a small family and friends to sit down and chat. There is soft music playing in the background, that although soft but still loud enough to relieve social anxiety, and provide a relaxing backdrop. Enjoyable food, enjoyable atmosphere. Due to its high price, it may not be a place that we will visit very often but it's definitely worth going once in a while when we want to spend some money to eat at a nice restaurant!

Used to be good, but food is not as good. Maybe they’ve changed the staff in the kitchen but food is badly cooked. Also prices have increased a lot, it used to be a cheap eat, NOT ANYMORE!

Great restaurant. The employees are polite and attentive, despite the high workload. The waiter is probably the owner as he listened very attentively and thoughtfully to our compliments on the food. The dishes are insanely delicious, especially the rich sauces. To eat, you need about three plates per person. Highly recommend.

I love the concept of having some of my favorite dishes in Tapas form! Like Taiwanese street snacks in a formal sit-down form. That being said, it is on the pricy side and you could find good food like this in a less fancy place. I’d definitely come back with a group of people to split more tapas and try a variety of things from the menu! The people running the place are super friendly and service was fast.

I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant and ended up seeing some nice pics and good recommendations here on Google. ChoJo is a lot more than that. Apart from the impeccable presentation, every single dish was amazingly tasteful and the whole experience was just perfect.

Wonderful time in this lovey intimate pan asia restaurant. The couple who own and run it are absolutely wonderful. The service was good, they were very polite, caring and it’s a pleasure to have dinner in these conditions and atmosphere. The dishes were similary to dimsum style plating and were nice and not too expensive. The food was of good quality and with different options and variety to choose from.

Dissapointing, missing that extra zest

Cho Jo was a totally unexpected gem of a find! We expected a big, buzzy, faceless restaurant, instead it was charming, intimate, and brimming with character and served food that was of a very high quality. For a small team (husband and wife) they achieve a lot from incredible cocktails to a small but perfectly formed menu that we took great pleasure in polishing off. Some dishes taste of childhood nostalgia like the braised pork and egg on rice (a Taiwanese classic) and some are more innovative takes such as the scallops and vermicelli to pork and kimchi dumplings (even the kimchi hater at the table declared it better than expected). This is a really special place, with food and service that feels effortless and authentic (although the menu isn’t classically a specific kind of traditional Asian cuisine, everything works). Although there are loads of great Asian places in London, this place is truly unique and I highly recommend it.

Didn’t know what to expect because of mixed reviews here. However it came highly recommended by friends who are regular patrons. Chojo did not disappoint on my first visit. Food was delicious and tasty without the usual grease that unfortunately Chinese/ Asian food became known for in the west. These are tapas so don’t expect big serving sizes and yes it is more expensive than places in Chinatown. With a pleasant ambiance, Chojo offers a good variety of elevated Asian food. Among my favourites are the drunken chicken (no photo though it tastes much better than it looks), the steamed scallops, steamed sea bass and the Korean fried chicken.

Nice atmosphere in a chain free place. Rather small portions and most importantly they didn't taste that much. Surprisingly bland. Food appeared to be re-heated rather than freshly made.
