Choi's in Croydon

CALL BEFORE GOING THERE!! None of this place is a one star. Personally the food is great and tge staff were nice! Unfortunately im pretty sure they have shut down, not seen them open for ages, no posters up and the nice old mans car is never there too, it says its open but its not!!

Well, I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and with lots of flavour. It is the simple things that count loved their beansprouts, will definitely order again. Good value too.

This is by far the worst Chinese I've ever eaten...and ive had some very average Chinese's. It was inedible, and made me feel sick. To top it off, it took nearly 2hrs to arrive.

Was looking forward to a delicious Chinese meal but this was nowhere near as good as Chois was 10 years ago Very greasy and the light chilli 🌶 blew our heads off

I've been ordering from Choi's for years and my experience has always been great. Prompt delivery, hot food, tasty food and friendly service.

Extremely rude. Never ever had a restaurant owner so rude to us with no reason. She was in a rush or overwhelmend!

Ordered chinese for family and, first they didnt give pancakes or plum sauce.. They sent replacement and they came like poppadoms. When we called back they told us we have to respect they are busy.. Avoid with a bargepole the rest of the food was stodgy and rank... Diagraceful and a waste of 65.00... Scumbags

I liked the bit of effort to make a veg dish the way I like it. Food was simple plain and good value.

Ordered set menu for four. Arrived on time lovely and hot. Very good portions. Lovely dishes. King prawns delicious as were the ribs and chicken. Good value for money. Will be ordering again.

I’ve been going to Choi’s for about 15 years and never had any problems with their food but since the owner died it has really done down hill dry rice, greasy pancake rolls and and everything doesn’t really have taste. I brought bbq sauce and it’s didn’t smell anything like it used to and it was pure water so was the curry sauce. Sad to say but I think it’s a end to a era with them unless they really pick up in the kitchen 😔

Don't ever go there. Rude staff, food is taken out of a fridge and reheated. The grill and oil used is the same and smells awful. Would trust anything they cook anymore. It seems like a good scam.

Just tried to order from this place the person on the phone was not at all familiar with the menu. When asked about about vegetarian dishes such as tofu he replied we have chicken do you want something with chicken! I asked to speak with one of the cooks but he didnt respond in the end I got fed up of placing an order and went elsewhere. They shouldn't have people on the phone who aren't familiar with the menu and knowledgeable about the food/cuisine. Felt like I was speaking to a taxi driver instead of a cook! Disappointing to say the least, first impression is that service is a 0. Wasnt able to actually order and try the food!

Avoid the chicken chow mein, its dripping in oil, its wet and the chicken, well I dont think its actually chicken. It smells so bad. Dissapointed big time. Rice is nice though.

Best in the area by a distance. Freshly cooked with good quality ingredients. Plenty of flavour and nice staff as well. I made the mistake of trying another Chinese in the area while these guys were closed and won't be ordering from anywhere else in purley other than these guys again.

Been a customer for 4 years ordered every fri or sat. Driver delivered food cold due to him not knowing where he was going. Complained about this and was told they would not deliver to me anymore. Terrible way to treat a loyal customer. i will be going else where now. Food was going downhill anyway.

Great crispy duck. Freshly cooked. Friendly service. Good quality ingredients. Stir fried veg was nice. Pad thai a bit sweet and too much sauce.
