Chippy Licious in Rochdale

For the longest time, we looked for a decent chippy, then we tried Chippy Licious and we never looked back. The food is amazing and they really put themselves out to help. Coming from the Sarf originally, I love rock eel, which isn't usually served up here. I asked Bran, and he got it, saveloys too!! Give em a try, you won't be disappointed. 👍🏽

Just had the small fish and chips with peas.The fish was cooked beautifully . Friendly staff .Will be returning.

Typical chippy, taste can vary somedays there fish are perfect other days there a soggy mess - edible non the less though

This has got to be the best chippy around bar none. Beautiful, succulent fish in delicious crispy batter. The chips are lovely too. Plus, you get served by friendly staff.

Have the fish and chips, small portion very poor had to throw the fish away. He didn’t let the fish rest to let the grease come out just put it on top of my chips straight out of the fryer so the chips were so greasy we couldn’t eat them. I wonder why they are struggling these small chippies used to be a treat to go to the chippy because it was delicious now it is just a greasy mess will not be returning wouldn’t like to give him one star

This chippy serves bad quality food. The worse I’ve had. The batter coating on the fish was very soggy. There was no crispiness at all to it. The skin sagged and fell apart when I picked it up. It’s the soggiest piece of chippy fish I’ve ever seen. The actual fish itself wasn’t too bad, quite flakey and fairly fresh when I picked it apart from the disgusting skin. The chips were slightly undercooked and also very soggy and floppy. It’s like they didn’t clean the starch off the potato’s before frying them. Very poor quality. The English curry sauce and mushy peas were pretty standard. Most of this went in the bin. Overall, pretty rank. I would not return. A waste of money.

Decent prices, decent portions, food tastes good and staff were friendly. Best bit though, the spam fritter was actually spam. Thank you for not passing off cheap meat as spam like other chippy do.

Excellent fish and chips , very good service

Called in yesterday (Saturday 7th August), and whilst there a young lad about 11/12 made an order and then found he’d lost his money on the way to the shop! Poor lad was in quite a bit of distress and started crying …so I paid for his food and the lady behind the counter said she would give him his change …so he didn’t get in trouble with his parents!! Love this chippy …great staff and great food!! Highly recommend!

Very good, very comfortable, sports, swimming pool and everything. Sauna. Steam, breakfast, dinner are good. Bar, very convenient. I will stay there next time. The service is also very good.

Food was good; chips nice and warm, pies tasty and the fish fresh. The service, however, was frosty at best. The woman on the till seemed hard done by with every request and didn't bring a positive energy to the place. No thank you or bye on exit; shame really, let the place down !

Second time in a couple of months I've been, both times old stale overcooked chips and soggy fish batter.Gave them benefit of the doubt first time as staff were so nice. I must be unlucky as they seem to have plenty of good reviews. Will stick to the bridge chippy in norden from now on, a bit of a drive but always fresh chips and nice fish.

Not a bad chippy only thing I wasn't very happy with the pudding was a little dried out and some of the chips were a little under cooked but you can get that at most chippys there scampi is fabulous though and there English curry
