Very nice, chips were fantastic fish was ok curry sauce thin and not much taste portion size was not good the large chips although lovely wouldn't feed 2 people only enough for 1 and then pushing it and spam fritters nice but 1 minute in the fryer to long

Not a bad chippy but they don’t sell sachets of ketchup and offer you it in a pot you’d normally use for mushy peas etc. The ketchup is really poor quality though and lets the meal down. Cash only business so I expect this puts a lot of people off as many people don’t carry cash. I had fish and chips and the fish was cooked fresh and was decent quality. I would eat there again but I’d swap the ketchup for curry sauce

Always the same. Great fish and chips with good sized portions and always served with a huge smile. It may be a small chippy in a small rural village but it's well worth stopping by. Just check opening times first.

Chips were OK. But definitely don't get very many. I know potatoes are expensive but a large portion is more like a small.

We've lived in the village for several (10+) years now but have only just started using the chippie on a regular basis. Beautifully hot (always a big thing for me) haddock, chips & curry sauce, served by the friendly 'girls' who were efficient, warm & smiley. What an asset this place is to the village!

Just finished my lovely Haddock, Chips and curry sauce. Everything about it was delicious. The Haddock had lovely crispy batter with white flakes of fish. The Chips were bronzed and crispy and the curry sauce was delicious. Would definitely advise anyone to try this chip shop. Delicious 😋

First time at this chippie, not too impressed fish bitty & crumbly no big flakes like the Grimsby chippies, far too much batter on fish & tasted too greasy, chips greasy, curry sauce watery & bland, asked for salt & vinegar on but none was put on, also no card option only cash, won't be back first impressions count

Great portion sizes, great quality, friendly staff. The ‘rooster’ and the new chicken strips are so yummy. Lovely crispy batter. Having tried other local chippers, this is the best I can’t recommend it enough.

sorry but i have just had the worst fish and chips ever had to wait 30 mins as phone orders were coming in but no warning of this then the fish was so overcooked it was dark brown and dry very few chips and the pea's were still hard won't be going there again

Have visited this chip shop many times always very good .great value for money, until today had Haddock chips and peas the fish tasted of Ammonia made me feel sick. I believe when fish is like this it is off. please be careful in future you may loose more customers .

Horrible staff! Snobby and very very rude! Waited 45 minutes for my order as been told the kebabs wasn’t ready so was told could be 10 minutes which was fine, then had a gentleman who went in 5 minutes after I had ordered and he proceeded to order 4 kebabs and he walked straight out with his order! So I went in and asked for why I was told to wait as the man who’s just walked in and ordered a kebab had got his straight away I got very snobby and rude reply from the staff was given my order and then told to leave and that I was bard!

Well, what can I say boys? 3 hours of driving, looking for a cafe and now't. So now, starving and emaciated we come across this lil' beaut' of a place. Simple, friendly and surprisingly great value. This is the best fish and chips I've had for a long while. I had the deal with haddock, chips and peas although awkward as I am, I had to have it plastered in ketchup with the standard pot of curry sauce to boot. All in....a grand total of £6.20....I wasn't expecting change out me tenner in all honesty but ended up with enough left for a cheeky pint later. So now in shock and belly bending, I bring to you this review. Five star review for five star food. I would have taken you a picture of the delicious delights provided by these friendly folk, but it's now in my belly and I just couldn't wait for even one small photo! Top job people. Highly recommended.

Never been here before, arrived just as they were closing (7.30pm) and they still cooked fish and chips freshly just for us. Double the size I would get at home and half the cost. Would really recommend. Traditional fish and chip shop.

Great Fish and chips and the best around in Lincolnshire but a shame it's hardly open now. Please open on Tuesdays again and later on a Friday and Saturday hard to get back in time after work.

Over cooked and dry the only good thing was the chips.

Called in for large cod & chips & small cod & chips.The large cod I’m sorry to say was mostly batter, the fish was very thin ,unlike the small cod which was a bit thicker.Sorry to moan but where we come from the fish is really chunky & tasty.

If you fish & chips for a good price then this is the place to be. Decent size portions for a good price what more do you need? Tastes good as well 😬

We have lived local since August 2017 but only tried this Friday for the first time. Compared to the others around Metheringham this is much better. Beautiful haddock and burger in batter. Chips excellent. Clean and lovely staff. Thank you.

Wonderful local chippie - great value, well cooked and super selection of good fresh fish. Set in the centre of Billinghay village it is ideal for locals or travellers passing through. The staff are endlessly cheerful and happy to serve.

Fantastic value for money. A tasty takeaway not swimming in oil and a good selection of fish, burgers, chicken etc. My parents live down in Suffolk and when ever they travel up to visit they always order from here on their first night.

Called in on a Saturday tea time (about 6 pm) and ordered a chicken portion and a haddock. Had to wait a few minutes as at that time of the day they were cooking to order. Both were well cooked, the fish was not wet inside the batter and the chicken was fried just right. Had a portion of chips and it was enough for 2 and again they were well cooked. This is an excellent little chip shop which I will certainly try again several times. The staff were very friendly.

Had fish and chips here about 3/4 yrs ago (not the best),but revisited as our local road was closed and so glad it was... Don't know if this has changed hands now,but I walked in and i got an acknowledgement greeting....My turn too give my order,and prices are the same as what we like to pay..got a goodbye of both of the ladies behind counter,brilliant service.. I forgot too ask but the young lass asked if i wanted my fish seperate from my chips which i usually do,but she knew the chips makes the fish batter too soggy... The chips were lovely,the fish even better,batter stayed crispy..Well done will deffo come again as my local chippy is so inconsistent. ..

Outstanding quality food. The kebabs available at the end of the week are excellent. Very well priced and friendly.

Some nice extra choices on the menu (spam fritters, southern fried chicken burgers etc) and everything we've tried has been nice. Good value for money and service too, can't go wrong :)

Overcooked, overpriced and undersized fish. Friendly staff, but poor quality. Happy to drive from billinghay to either barrier reef in metheringham, chipmunks in conningsby or scoffers in Sleaford. If you are rich, COTB is a good place to waste your money.

We have tried ones more local to us, but I would prefer to drive the 4 mile to Billinghay at least I know that the food is going to be edible unlike the 2 chippy's nearer to me.

Just about to close up shop when I popped my head round the corner and asked him if he was still serving, he kindly said for me to come in served me some very tasty food for a reasonable price would definitely recommend !:)
