Chips were good and the staff very chatty and friendly

Meal deals but I asked for mini fish and chips with peas but when got home was battered sausage chips and peas

Mini fish and chips with peas £5 everything was wrong with this peas tasted sweet the fish was tiny any dry and chips definitely wasn't fresh will not be going again

Amazing place to go but it's food it quite little such as large chips is kinda small but amazing food.

asked for a kebab and chips, got home no pitta just loads of meat, the woman who served me looked like she needed a good wash, 2 hrs after eating it havnt got off the loo, funny smell in the place like something had gone off, was my fav chippy not anymore

Chips are cooked nice and golden just how chips should be.

That fish i had didnt seem like a normal fish it was all hard and in chunks. Im a big fish lover i eat fish from every chippy i go to and this was gnarly. The bin ended up eating it Nice staff tho

Food has gone downhill massively recently, smallest fish cakes I’ve ever received and the “bank issue” that means then don’t accept card payment has been going on for over 8-10 months now. Real shame because the staff are lovely.

Owner tells disable people to park where he wants them to chips was swimming in oil sausage ok curry sauce lumpy and not nice pie not great and could be much hotter and I am very disappointed because it was very good place owner told disable person not to park outside of shop because it is for disabled people my client is disabled won't be returning to the shop it is very upsetting because it was a great place please AVOID IT

The owner and staff make you feel welcome and ordered a fish cake which cost £2.40 which is very cheap compared to other chip shops I've visited, the fishcake had REAL COD pieces which was nice and moist, the batter was a little greasy but this could have been due to it just coming out of the fryer and I couldn't wait, a very busy chipshop which also do kebabs and wraps, Food hygiene ratings 4**** A must try chippy if in the area

Kebab specials a bargain aslong as they cut it thin but at end of kebab roll you can sometimes finish up with thick bits of donner meat n its not good gave it the dog ,finger crossed it stay being cut thin.

Have I just had a religious experience ? Is this the most price friendly chippy in the country? Last time I bought fish and chips from a chippy I nearly fainted at being charged £12.40. Not at Chips and Scales. A large fish and chips to go at just £7.60. Kind people do exist in Sheffield. Well recommended by me to all lory drivers looking for a good meal at driver friendly prices.

Very lovely takeaway, incredible staff who are always very welcoming and helpful. Only place I know who haven't increased there prices, and their food is amazing, no corners are cut, and you're left coming back time and time again. You get some absolute bargains for meals here, would highly recommend everything on the menu!

Chips was scrappy, greasy, and didn't taste of much, sausage was OK, kids meals are OK a little fun for them with colouring and activity pack, and £15 spent you get a free 2l bottle of pop. So over all OK and would go back,

Got the £4.00 special. Mini fish, chips and mushy peas (with salt n vinegar obviously)... Pretty decent fish and chips, reasonable portion, tasted quite good. Would revisit if I was close by and wanted the same type of food.

Excellent chips and you always get more than you can eat. Haddock is top notch...not a cod fan so can't comment on that...all in all...best chippy in sheffield 5!

Had a mini fish special tonight for £4.00 and it was worth every penny. Colleague had a large sausage special for £4.00 too. Lovely staff, great choice of food (including Irish Curry Sauce, which I had never heard of before (was lovely!!)) Lady who served us was extremely pleasant and friendly too 😊 Thoroughly enjoyed, would recommend to anyone 👌

Always have gone here but not had fish n chips for 4 yrs .£6.80 that went in the bin .Disgusting chips anaemic and dried up and Fish ...well when I found 2 bites that were edible after I got through rock-hard batter .£4.80 for dried fish flakes and 2 bites of fish obviously been well over cooked and very oily .Won't be revisiting

Absolute rubbish. Paid 4.80 for a large rancid dried up piece of cod that was by no means either fresh nor large. The fishcakes had two flakes of some kind of fish thats all so u basically get potato fritters. Should have known better cos decent chippies ask if you want fish as soon as you walk in and cook it fresh. Avoid at all costs...

Just brilliant, it's nice to see chips with some colour instead of looking anemic, Great taste. Recommend to everyone to try them you won't be disappointed.

Go early and you get yesterday's left overs....go later and stuff only half cooked, SHOCKING....
