Chinatown Chinese Takeaway in Tameside

Food is good , service rubbish 2 1/2 hours .. told max 1 hour or LESS.. pay cash on delivery to ensure food arrives , if food is late

We order a couple of times a month because the food is by far the best we’ve ever had from a Chinese takeaway… Even knowing it can often take a couple of hours for it to be delivered. If we’re hungry and want it early we collect instead. We live in GeeCross and have tried to find a better local Chinese between Hyde/Marple etc but nowhere comes close on quality and taste, big portions and usually one of the cheapest. Of course we would love delivery to be quicker and more reliable… but we put up with that because we just can’t get better food anywhere else. Highly recommended salt & pepper wings & chips, prawn toast, beef chow-main, sweet & sour chicken.

!st time waited 2 hours for delivery. Told there were a cook down. Food was good when it arrived. Thought we would try again the following week. Rang at 16.30 told it would arrive 17.15. Now it 18.30 and it has still not arrived despite 2 phone calls. Obviously they don't want home deliveries and don't need the business

ordered for food to be delivered and was told delivery would be 1 hour. 2 hours later and still no delivery. When I rang chasing the order I was told the food was on its way, 40 minutes later still nothing. Clearly they tell lies when you chase up your order. Regrettably I had paid so was unable to tell them where to stick it. I will not order again

Ordered online & received a callback to say that one of the dishes wasn’t available, re ordered & 5 minutes later received another call to say that the original dish was available after all so re ordered again with an hours waiting time. No sign of the order after 90 minutes, rang to chase and was advised that it would be delivered ‘very soon’, had to chase again 30 minutes later & owner totally disinterested. Delivery guy eventually turned up & sauntered to the door - fortunately had chosen to pay cash on delivery so told them to stick it in the bin & went to the local chippy instead. More expensive than better takeaways in the area plus they charge for delivery no matter how much you order - save yourself the hassle & go elsewhere.

Worst service ever. Please avoid. Was told delivery would be 1 hour to 1 hour 30. Chased the order after 1 hour 40 and they said it had left the shop and would be there any minute as I live less than 2 miles away. It turned up after 2hours 20 minutes. I wouldn’t mind but the food isn’t that great anyway but I was desperate. Worst takeaway.

Top quality food delivered on Time and ind great portions. The delivery was on time and delivered safely

We was advised about China town broadbottom by chatting with a girl working in shoe department in peacocks in glossop.. she said it was nice food... we was on a holiday in Charlesworth glossop and thought we would give it a go... we ordered for 6 pm... we thought there might be a problem with delivery as we was in the Charles worth lodges... the food turned up... it was the best Chinese we have ever had... such big portions as well... we would recommend this to anyone... from Richard and kathy butcher who was staying at no 3 woodland lodge ..thank you

Chinatown just reopened its doors today and being local I thought I’d try it out. I have to say that I’d not enjoyed my last meal from them, but I’m pleased to say that we both enjoyed our food. Tasty tofu satay, with plenty of tofu and veg/ Delicious udon prawn and we would definitely recommend based on tonight’s food. Hopefully they will get support ( although tonight they were so busy, they were running a bit behind) and they will keep up this delicious food. Well done guys. 👏👏

food wasn’t great. Not much meat on the ribs, fried rice was bland and had a funny taste. Ended up paying more that it should of been. I should of checked the price beforehand. I won’t be returning
