Ordered via Deliveroo @7:52pm: 1 x Garden Party Thin Crust Large, Chargrilled Chicken, Remove Sweetcorn Subtotal £27.89 Service fee £2.49 Delivery fee £2.99 Credit -£8.37 Total £25.00 A nice tasting pizza but expensive despite the offer reducing the price. My only criticism is that the added chicken +£1.50 (reduced from £2.20) was quite sparse, the pizza base was a bit doughy & not crisp. Delivery was within 30 minutes located less than 1 mile away. Still warm. Edit: It can be alot cheaper ordering via the website directly than thru a third party as cheaper deals are available. For example the Garden Party large pizza offer at £11.70 however a minimum spend of £15 is required.

Terrible. Very limited amount chicken on the BBQ Chicken Pizza. No response from the shop, and bad customer service from Head Office, who wouldn't offer a refund. Account cancelled.

Not very happy with having to cut my pizza. I got a ham and pineapple pizza with about 6 pieces of pineapple on the whole pizza so ive had to spread it all out! I know alot of people dont like pineapple on pizza but my god i ordered it because i like it so i expect to be able to have it on. I order from here all the time i will try and diffrent branch next time.

Ordered a cheese and tomato pizza. Pepperoni and sausage delivered. The grandchildren wouldn’t eat it! Waste of money

The cheesy chicken papa bites are very nice. I highly recommend for you to try them with the tomato and herb dip.🙌

Prompt service pop in here when I can. My kids preferr papa John's over the other pizza places foods always piping hot when you get it home I think they would generate more income if they delivered further afield as they don't cover where I live

someone called me asking for feedback on the 28th, at the end of the phone call they said they would apply a discount to my next order. ordered again, didnt get a discount. called store and a guy said "go online and select discounts if you want a discount" and couldnt care less about the previous conversations / calls i had. what annoys me is i didnt complain. The store called me and offered me the discount and when i called up asking them about it they dismissed me the guy really didnt give two flying pizza's and just wanted to get rid of me off the phone. if this is the care they give to a phone call i hate to think what care they give to your food.

Got three orders in a row wrong, male staff on phone quite dismissive but female more polite. Fourth time took over 2 and a half hours , despite promising 40 minutes. Will not be returning.

Customer service has gotten worse over the last few months. Three orders in a row incorrect, with dismissive and impatient male staff on the phone ("we are busy"). Fourth order took three hours to arrive, and was was squashed. Never again.

Lovely customer service and best pizza in Denton

Got 2 pizza's on the 03/02/2024 from Denton PAPA, JOHNS , one small and other medium, the medium contained HUMAN HAIR in the cheese in which I was chewing it and had to pulled the hair out of my mouth and spat the rest in the pizza box, got nowhere when I phoned them so I went round with the pizza in the rain , THE MANAGER basically said it was from my head even when I showed him that I shave my head ,he was very disrespectful and called me a liar , he didn't help , he made the situation worse ,if I would of read the reviews before ordering, I would nt of eaten from this DIRTY DISGUSTING takeaway where they don't wear hair nets or hats never again ....

Not been into this place since it changed hands, due to the uncleanness of the staff, however we decided to give pop in. Big mistake the ham & pineapple had a large black strand of hair in the cheese. I don't recommend visiting this place & I won't be going again.

Went in off peak and was advised pizza order would "be at least 30 minutes minimum". Seems to be serious issues with service here will not return.

Ordered with Deliveroo. Stated 20 mins delivery time. 45 minutes late, food was bone cold. At least double the delivery time, they lie to get your order.

First time trying Papa Johns, pizzas were soggy and tasted like they had been microwaved. The prices are similar to Dominos but the quality is nowhere near the standard of Dominos.

There was no garlic and herb dip.

Food wasn't hot.., which affected the potato tots. The chicken pizza was OK.... Luke warm edible but certainly not the best pizza especially as its so expensive... Expected better from a big chain.., will stick to small local places next time and give these a miss....

Order was due to arrive between 7:10 and 7:30, phoned the restaurant at 7:55 as food hadn't arrived and they said it was 5 minutes away, and the driver didn't arrive for another 30 minutes. Food was cold

The food was good but I am super unhappy with delivery, I paid for them to bring to my flat door but they refused to so I had to get a friend to go down for it because I am in a wheelchair.

The food is always piping hot, great quality ingredients! They do loads of different pizzas but the best by far is the Garden Party and Gralic Cheese Sticks. Always tastes great

worst food experience of my life, the food took over two hours to get here, rung the shop with no luck, then it said it was closed on uber eats so I got something else to eat, the food is finally here at 3am when the shop closed at 2, terrible service and the pizza isnt edible. I just wanted something to eat after my shift....

First and most likely last experience with Papa Johns. Made online order at 4:48pm. I called up the shop an hour later as the order tracker said pizza was still in ‘checking and cutting’ stage and was told that pizza was ready and they were waiting for delivery driver to pick it up. Waited another 20 mins and called up and they said it was just picked up. Finally got the order at 6.40pm. Almost 2 hours!! And pizzas were cold and hard when they arrived 😡😡😡

I’m missing my ice cream that I ordered and I paid for an extra dip for my pizza and it hasn’t come with my order very disappointed

The pizza is nice but nothing special compared to numerous other pizza places now offering takeout. I've Never had a pizza thats too greasy or soggy but for the prices these places charge I should hope not. I don't know when take out pizza suddenly became the most expensive take out and when I consider what I get its no wonder this is often ONLY eaten as a special occasion. Even with the 50% off, buy one get one free, large for price of medium, free dessert with large, family pizza deals this still cost over 50 quid for 4 people. (Admittedly I enjoy the fact often there is left overs for the cold pizza breakfast the next day). All that said I have to admit that papa John's is very reliable when it comes to getting orders right and always provide good quality tasty pizza. So if I had to spend the 50 quid plus I prefer doing it here than many of the other high Street pizza shops.

The food was late but was nice but there was one thing as my husband dose not like meat I odder him a cheese pizza but got a pepperoni I phoned the restaurant and they have sed sorry and are going to send a replacement and a drink that is what I call good service

Terrible. Completely incompetent at processing the orders correctly. Ordered a few weeks ago, received the wrong pizza, missing toppings. I rang to inform them and they said oh we’ll send another. The replacement came 40 minutes later, incorrect again. They only offered ANOTHER replacement, i hardly need 3 XXL pizzas in one night. Ended up eating the lukewarm incorrect pizza and making a complaint. They offered me a free replacement, which i have redeemed, and surprise surprise the order was wrong again. This time, missing sides & other things. Pizza was a bit burnt, and when i rang to ask about the missing sides, a replacement in 50 minutes was offered. I’ve followed up on my complaint with someone who actually seems to care as they don’t apologise or rectify the issues properly. The replacement came missing the dips & in a grease covered box, the cardboard is literally soggy. No apology on the phone, even when i explained. Stick to domino’s round the corner!

Ordered 2 pizzas and a dip. The dip didn't arrive. No big deal, I called the shop, asked for a refund. I was offered "extra dips next time" and told the a refund would be too difficult. I asked for the employees name and he gave me a fake one. EDIT: As you can see poor response from the owner. Luckily it was only a dip and not a full pizza or full order. I won't be ordering again, too much hassle.

Didn't arrive on time and when I called, they said driver has only just left with our order. I received a message to say driver on way and it was over 30 minutes before I ended up ringing to see where order was.

Unbelievably inept. I ordered Sunday 11th December at 18:40. I rang after 1.5 hours and again after 2 hours to be told the food was on the way on both occasions. 21:55 and still no food. I spoke to two members of staff who couldn’t be any more unhelpful. Asked for a manager and each of them told me the other person was the manager. I was lied to with no resolution and to be told “we have other orders to send”. After 20 minutes of getting nowhere, I gave up and I was promised a refund of my order by a gentleman who said he was unable to provide me with his name and was promised a call back the following day from the store manager, which I’m still waiting for. The worst experience I’ve ever had with a takeaway and I’ve had some bad ones in my time. I would appreciate if the owner could get in touch with me ASAP.

Ordered for 19.00 and didn't arrive until 19.40. Food was lukewarm, missed part of our order and the dairy free ice cream we ordered was swapped for a dairy one.. Never ordering here again - shame as I've had positive experiences with different Papa John's before.

Actually always liked the pizza but the service is getting worse and worse. Ordered online, an hour later still no food despite the “track your order” option showing it as delivered. When I called the store they said it wasn’t even in the oven as they only had 1 driver and wanted to make sure it got to me hot! I asked why the tracking showed it updating every step of the way if this was the case, she blamed the driver. I asked why I didn’t at the very least receive a courtesy call re. a waiting time - she said she called but I didn’t answer! Needless to say I have no missed calls. Obviously short staffing happens but to be openly lied to both over the phone and through someone updating a tracking option is poor customer service. Only went there in the first place because Domino’s doesn’t deliver to this post code!

I was told that my food would arrive between 1805 and 1820 and my food arrived at 18 45 the food came cold and my wings were under cooked. This is my first time ordering from Uber eats and I’m appalled with the quality and service I have received

Waited a while for it to turn up, had to ring and see where my pizza was, the person who handled the call was abrupt and rude, I had to tell them to sort there tracking out because it said delivered when it was about another half an hour away AVOID!

Having seen some of the previous 1* reviews and that the franchise owner has personally responded to, which is amazing to see in all honesty. I'd like the opportunity to speak with him/her. As I too have recently had an issue with a purchase I made here. From looking at the reviews online it appears to be a trend (certainly with lots of consistency). I have made 3 purchases in total with Papa John's. 2 with this branch and 1 else where. The last I had from here was refunded in store but for an entirely different reason. I m not what you call a pizza fan, I came here with my family for a pizza, there are numerous on the menu. It is a takeaway, you can order or wait for them to be don. Car parking no problems for all people. The entrance is for all people. The food was good. The staff were fast and proficient.

ordered via uber eats- they accepted the order. an hour later it hasn’t been delivered so i call them up and politely ask for an update and they hang up the second i ask?! i rang them back and they were rude and said they were closed and to contact uber, and that they’re not going to refund me. absolutely ridiculous. Please 🙏 do not order from here. We ordered the New! Philly steak pizza and an American hot, both with stuffed crust. These are priced just under £50!! They had hardly any toppings, were barely warm and were served with some sort of garlic butter/sauce which I think they scrape off someone's feet. Just avoid and don't let this ripoff company take your money.

The worst pizza I ever had to be honest. I eaten papa John's so many times from all different places but I tried here at denton for the first time. Not much cheese on the pizza. Pizza looked horrible. For the most expensive pizza around the area it sure was very disappointing.

Worst pizzeria I've ever set foot in, took over Five minutes for anyone to even acknowledge that I was at the counter, I was then signed gimme 5 mins? A few minutes later I'm slowly addressed by a member of staff who was completely incoherent, after the rolling of eyes and and deep breaths like I was the problem I was asked for my name? I replied I'd like a pizza please, you don't need my name, yes we need your name for the system came the reply, it was at this point I left the premises. I could go on and on about the fails associated within this franchise, most definitely needs looking at by management as it was next level poor. I can only hope the delivery side is better than the walk in service.

Food was awful… there’s no other way to describe it. “Pizza” came without pizza sauce so can’t really call it pizza. More like cold, cheese on bread. Kids ate a slice and said they’d rather eat a plate of broccoli, which, in itself, says it all. Potato cheese things were awful! Cold and dry. I tried to contact them for a refund as it’s massively overpriced for the quality anyway but I’ve been ignored so hoping this review saves someone a lot of money. £30 wasted for me - go elsewhere!
