My experience of this takeaway was the chicken was like rubber and the king prawn Cantonese style was two watery the batter on the chicken wings was horrible🤮😡

Can’t leave any stars, food was horrible chowmein burnt, curries and sauce was watery & the rice was hard tasted not good would not recommend

When contacted asking where my order was as they confirmed the order as delivered when it wasn’t so it would show as not late they didn’t know what to say when confronted. Absolute mick take and food is average. Luckily

The food was great however I’ve waited almost 2 hours for the delivery where in fact I live only 10mins maximun driving distance. I can wait for 45mins max but within 2hours it’s ridiculous!

When the food finely did turn up it was lovely, but it took 3 phone calls to get what I ordered. I won’t be ordering for delivery again because they are abysmal!!!!!!! At getting your food to you !!!!!!!

Never again called 2 times rude staff then to be told by just eat my food was delivered and it hadn't been that's why I have a ring doorbell for these problems then the driver comes 5 mins after over 35 mins late poor service cold meat in the special wouldn't waste my money here again salt and pepper chips where terrible chicken balls wasn't hot more like warm very bad experience not impressed from ordering 1 hour 55 to deliver 1 mile away. When you spend good money amd get a bad service this review is needed learn from your mistakes.

The food was fantastic. The delivery time was really slow though. It arrived late but the app had told me it had been delivered 10 minutes before.

Have had food from there multiple times over the past couple months and now it's my go to salt and pepper chicken place. Always been tasty and had no issues. Guy at the till is friendly. Chef in the back always smiley. Cheap food for the amount you're getting and they cook it up real fast. Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from tbh.

The prawn toast was good but the rest of our order was so salty and a little over cooled the salt and chilli squid and prawns were nice and spicy but not great quality food sorry

Unfortunately I have to change my opinion. I ordered the beef with vegetables. I was grumpy a lot. I was sick for 4 days. I enjoyed eating there until now. I will now NEVER go there again.

Ordered from here as my usual chinese has been disappointing, I now have a new favourite chinese, the food was all hot and fresh, and the satay chicken skewers were the best I have had in a long time

We've been using China Town for years & it never fails to impress. Each dish we've had until as recently as tonight has tasted delicious. Struggle to find an equally good (never mind better) Chinese takeaway.

Utter Garbage food. Tough ribs. Tough chicken. Smells rancid. The only thing that was any good was the prawn crackers!! Will not be going back! Halved my meal so that I could have some tomorrow. It’s all gone in the bin plus the £21 I paid for it!!

Had egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and prawn crackers. Really nice - would recommend ordering an extra sweet and sour sauce. Ordered for pick up on a Saturday night and it was on time

I like the food from there service is good when you go in only a takeaway or on line but if you go in it's so cold inside (in the winter) 🥶 apart from that it's good

Horrible watered down sauces no flavours

All food tasted good and came fresh. Chicken curry was very watered down more of a soup than a curry. Very reluctant to come and give me a refund or exchange. Except from that food was great.

I order from here almost every week for past few years , special fried rice, large pancake rolls , crispy beef, sweet. And sour king prawns and sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style . I can honestly say that all the food is very high standard . Large portions and quick delivery Stephen .

We had used another take away for years. We decided a change was in order and BINGO we found China Town. Fresh, hot and delicious food. Tasty and very good portion sizes. We are converted and will be sticking to China Town.

Just been in the shop and had to walk back out because the smell was unreal and smelt like really bad drains and it was unbearable to be in there I wouldnt recommend anyone to go atm till the owners make the effort to clean the shop

Quick service and always good quality food.

We used to buy from here after being loyal customers of Golden Harvest for over 25 years (after having an issue with their deliveries whereby the lid kept on coming off of the soup starter. Raised that with Dave the owner and never had an apology or any kind of recompense so we decided to vote with our feet!) Been using China Town on and off for 2 years and found them to have some really nice dishes like the Salt and Chilli Tofu. However, they have now changed this something like Salt and Spicy Tofu which has nowhere near the kick. Apart from the ignorance of the lady that answers the phone and the counter, I'd need really given the general squalid look of the place a second look. Anyway, was about to order from there this evening and decided to check out its food hygiene rating. I wished I'd have done that a long time ago. It currently rates at 2 and was last inspected on 27th April 2018. Clearly the owner has not made improvements and asked to be re-rated since then so for now we'll be steering well clear of China Town until they improve their food hygiene rating. I can put up with the ignorance and poor English just about but not near poor food hygiene conditions! EDIT: 23rd January 2020 After deciding rather stupidly to give Goden Harvest a second chance again, we were badly let down by them so we went on City Food Hygiene Ratings site and found that China Town has much improved. This is because it is now under NEW MANAGEMENT. So we have started ordering from China Town again. The person who answered the phone was polite and spoke very good English (makes a change from the previous lady). After we'd ordered, I came onto Google and checked some of the reviews, a fair few of them claim it is awful (and this is since new ownership). We very nearly cancelled the order but since it was Xmas Eve and now after 9pm, we stuck with it with a sense of dread. When the food arrived, it was hot and was, in fact, extremely tasty. I had Singapore Vermicelli and the other half had Crispy Shredded Chilli Beef (or whatever they call it there - can't remember now as it's nearly a month ago). Can't understand for the life of me why some reviews are poor which is why I've named the dishes we had. The Singapore Noodle (or Vermicelli) were really spicy. I only just managed to finish. Just how I like it. The heat builds up and builds up gradually. Will definitely be using them again but will be mindful to keep an eye on the Food Hygiene Rating from time to time to make sure they stay up to scratch, as is important for any restaurant serving the public.

Was waiting for over an hour to be delivered for it to be cold. Rang up to complain and they said either refund or new food, so instead of waiting another hour i asked for a refund. They then went on to tell me either the food gets sent back or no refund. Even tho it was already on my plate so they wanted a bag full of food before they gave me my money back. Absolutely ridiculous!!

Probably the worse Chinese food I've eaten. We always use to order from here under the old ownership with no issues. We've had a few bad experiences under the new owners, curry sauce had no flavour and the chicken balls had a weird taste to them that I've never experienced from any other Chinese takeaway.

Very poor since changing management recently. We wasn't ever informed of the change and as a result the food has changed. I've ordered 3/4 times since they changed hands and there has been a problem with every order. The quality of the chicken in the dishes has gone down tenfold. Chicken fried rice had next to no chicken in, the rice was also very dry. The dry chicken dishes are now mostly batter unlike before. Salt and spicy chips were the best from this takeaway and even they've gone down hill! Dry, over cooked chips. I've ordered from here for years and now I'm going to have to find a new place to order from!

Worst food in Nottingham stay well clear if you what the runs you are welcome

The spare ribs in BBQ sauce was so good and check out for the salt and spicy chips and the chicken curry is appetizing

Food quality is either good or bad, tonight's meal was definitely bad. Chicken with black bean was luke warm and the salt and spicy chicken was very chewy to say the least. This place could also do with a good deep clean.

I ordered prawn toast with my food when it arrived in opened it and some had had a bite out of one of them . I rang the shop is spoke to two different women who could not understand a word is was trying to tell them then to be pasted to man who didn't seem bothered at and tryed to tell me that they have cut it to see if it is cooked. I think I can tell the difference between a cut and a bite I will never order for there again .

Poor poor food worse Chinese and the shop is dirty too and one of there delivery drivers told me that if I don't like it don't order which I thought was rude but all in all stay well clear DISGUSTING

Food was late and when we got it the duck was hard that you couldn't eat it and i was missing spring rolls and by the time i got them my food was cold so I could enjoy it i wont be ordering from this place again iv had better Chinese not happy and not worth the money
