China Pot takeaway in Dundee City

Just had a,takeaway first time ever never again. We got a special chow Mein. Not appetising to look at so dark in colour overloaded with some dark? Soya sauce. Will be drinking water all evening. A real disappointment

Amazing food always cooked to perfection nice friendly staff too never had a problem !!!I cross half the town to make an order here being from Kirkton and do not understand why it has so many poor reviews . Keep up the good standard folks still 1 of my favourites in town !!!🤜🤛 Your 2 in 1 meals should be in every Chinese takeaway in town especially now we are all a bit more strapped for cash

Expensive food cold in 5 minutes front staff never listened when ordering the food

Used this place several times. Food always tastes great, and is always piping hot. I ordered a huge order for work, and the staff even helped me out to the car with it. First class service, and great food.

Lovely tasting food, with very good pricing. Prompt collection when ordered in advance. Staff friendly.

I buy Chinese food/carry outs regularly and have to say this was one of the worst I have had for a while, the salt n pepper chicken was full of uncooked onions, the chicken did not seem like it was chicken, and was over fried, the kung po prawns were tasteless and dry, the vegetables were uncooked. I live local to here but won’t be back.

defo the best in dundee .without a shadow of doubt. Beef is like thin cut frying steak . Sublime curry sauce is absolutely amazing... a wee bit nippy but not to hot . Incredible

Delivery sometime takes a while but thats because they are so busy (good sign), fantastic food and they'll always change things to requirements, never had a problem and I've ordered once a week for years

Terrible. Szechuan chicken was like boiled chicken in bisto gravy, no punch no colour to the meat. Noodles were fine. They sent the wrong items for the other half of the order. Avoid ordering from here.

Always come here when we get a delivery, very fast and very hot! The portions sizes are perfect. Curry sauce is spicey too which is what you want. I have recommended this place to a few people and will keep doing it

I used to be a customer since they open the business. They were great when they started, but their stars fell down and not keeping the high standards, trying to get a new suppliers, etc. In the last couple of months I felt I'm their tester as laboratory rat to find out if I can accept all. When I complained that my chicken is delivered in raw condition (pink meat), they stated it is a new supply and it is ok. But last nail in their coffin happened today (friday) as I was told they cannot deliver my order as they are short staffed. I won't recommend this fast food at this time as they went from 10 to 0. I'll give them a chance to iron their reputation next time when ordering fast food and I may change this review. Until then, I will buy my food from other suppliers nearby, who could deliver. This is my honest opinion at the time being.

A great Chinese particularly for vegetarian options .. quick service , well cooked food and full of taste . Never had anything other than a very good dish .

Ordered salt and pepper chicken and a chicken curry fried rice and it's one of the best chinese meals ive had. Meal was lovely and hot greatly priced and staff were really polite. Will defo be back 10/10

Honestly so good. Been going here for 2 years now and have tried other restraunts and none are nearly as good as China pot. Delivery drivers are always polite. Decent prices and it tastes unreal!!! Would always recommend to anyone in dundee!

Love this place :) chow mein is fab and plenty of it, and the satay chicken was good but the chips were cold and hard and the spring rolls are overdone with barely any filling in them , more filling less frying please guys :) x

Ordered at 6:15pm on Friday, it took more than 2hrs to delivery our cold food!!! Food might of been good however was passed being hungry by the time it came!

Delicious food, it's the go to for Chinese cuisine in Dundee.

Our food took over 1.5 hours to arrive. I called up the restaurant and tried to cancel the order and get a refund as we were no longer hungry. The woman I spoke with was very rude and refused to help me. A huge waste of time and money.

At last i found a takeaway i enjoyed. Recommend to all. Had the special curry and it was delicious. Delivery bang on time and food hot. I also had wonton soup, again great.

ordered take away at 6.20 said be ready said be ready at 7.50 which was bad enough still waiting at 8.30 so never again order on line take away joke ,might say got a flat tyre

Have been customer here for long time. As of late my orders have been longer and longer to arrived. Ordered food tonight 7.05 told delivery 8 pm '8.15 . Now 8.55pm no one answering phone in shop.and order still not arrived.

I've ordered here B4 and it was amazingly tasty steaming hot and fresh. Tonight I ordered that same meal the take away was not long opened so I expected delivery to take a good hour or more however it was super quick, and not hot was barely warm, was not as fresh as should be and I would say was last nights left overs. My noodles came. Out tub and stayed square in my plate. Like I said was barely warm came super quick surely it be piping hot I only live 2 mins away in a car. Giving the time take away was open to my order arriving, definitely say it was not made. Fresh this evening. Not impressed.

Excuse me ...your lying when you say order was ready from 20 mins...we phoned at 5.45...we oh back at 6.30 to ask when it would be delivered. You advised the order left shop 10 mins ago..the delivery guy turned up at 6 50....which I took ohoto...so get your times right .. and as for looking for free food??? Never have we ever once tried get free food ....never ever have we complained. And wasnt curry sauce which was cold...whole meal had been out for delivery for 25 minutes so whole lot was cold.. ALL of.ot...we also asked for barbecue ribs in bbq sauce....was ribs in gravy...they are still on kitchen table ..so stop telling lies...

Have ordered here three weeks in a row now and will have to stop ourselves ordering for a fourth week! Excellent value for money, very affordable and fast delivery, the portions are generous and the food is high quality. Everything you need from this type of service and highly recommended for delivering to remote areas as the food is always still piping hot on arrival.

We love this takeaway because unlike other chinese restaurants when you order the same thing every time it is exactly the same every time! Every takeaway is very good and fresh. Delivery is also very fast we only wait around 15-30 minutes.

Do not order from this lot unless you want to starve. Delivery almost 1 hour late. No apology and fobbed off twice on the phone. So angry food went straight in the bin so cannot comment on that aspect. Order at your pearl.

Ordered the food last night, the food was delayed but we were made aware that it would be later than anticipated. The food itself was amazing, possibly the best in Dundee. Was missing a can of juice but wasn't too much of a bother. Definitely recommend.
