I don't know why there are bad reviews for this place, I've ordered a few times and every time the food has been banging

My sister and I ordered from here on Friday night. We ordered chicken with cashews, noodles with chicken and a pot of curry sauce and steamed rice. We have never been so disappointed in a Chinese meal in all our lives. We looked at the food and instantly said to one another that it doesn’t look right. We started with the vegetable spring rolls. They were soggy and indescribable. I would go as far to say could pass as cat food. We then started to eat our mains and I had a few mouthfuls of the chicken with cashews and had to stop. The chicken was slimy, undercooked and gooey. I then added some of the wet gooey rice to the plate to make the dish more acceptable, but unfortunately I could not carry on. My sisters noodles were very dry and tasteless and the chicken too was dry and tasteless so she couldn’t eat that. We contacted Just eat for a refund as we were so disappointed however they wouldn’t give us a refund. In future, do not order through Just Eat. We are not fussy eaters, the furthest from it!

I would give zero stars if I could. Fist let's start with the food, I ordered extra soy sauce which I didn't receive, I was told it was cooked into my order, hardly, the food was cold upon arrival there was no flavor whatsoever much less any hint on any soy sauce at all. The spring rolls were cold and couldn't eat. I am 50yrs old and have eaten pork fried rice for at least 35yrs and I can promise this was the worst I have had in 35 years hands down PERIOD! Now on the guy that answered the phone I will simply say he has no knowledge of food or how it should taste not to mention he is a smug arrogant dare I say ignorant piece of work. He wouldn't even let me speak. I am a firm beliver that when a person talks that much and says absolutely nothing he knows absolutely nothing. Sir I would invite you to educate yourself on #1 food prep #2 the book on how not to be a dummy...

Ordered tom yum soup Didn’t taste anything like Tom Yum at all I have lived in Thailand and have tried Tom Yum from many places but nobody ever puts carrots and green leaves and lettuce in Tom Yum soup. Hugely disappointing! Felt like boiled water with some vegetables

I had a delivery from here and was really shocked and disappointed to find bits of pork in my vegetable noddles.Be careful if ordering if you have allergies and order things that may not be as stated.

Food was fine. However, the delivery driver was so RUDE! Honestly I’ve never had this from a delivery before. He was not told the code for the gate prior which I had put down on the app. This seem’d to have aggravated him. Therefore, if it’s to pay someone to get insulted for average food. Count me out!

They didn’t specify the dish was vert spicy and treated me very rudely saying I should have known this before ordering even though it doesn’t mention it on the menu nor the ingredients

Can’t tell you how bad this place was, food was burnt and stale and the crispy shredded beef tasted like cardboard. No wonder Uber had a delivery time of 15-30 minutes I was probably their only customer

China palace are an absolute disgrace , I paid for my meal on on Thursday , it went out my account , the website went down so they told me I had to pay again only found this out after phoning them to see we’re my food was , they phoned up yo-yo to issue a refund after them telling me I had to sort out my own refund , but that now was gonna take 3/5 days fir refund to go back in my account , they then said u now have to pay again I said I couldn’t do that as £41 had already gone out , and it’s gonna be 3/5 before it’s back in ,and I wasn’t paying again ,after many phone calls and messing around and pure attitude they agreed to deliver food but I pay them when I get refund I agreed , I didn’t get food till gone 10pm mine was burned I still haven’t had refund yet today she rang saying I have till tommorow to pay , I’ve told her I will pay soon as it’s b back in my account , she told me I have 1 day or they will come shouting in my street to all my neibours that I haven’t paid , she would not let me speak , told her numerous times it can take 3/5 days to refund as it’s still in my pending account , so she continued to threaten me , disgusting place

Lost a loyal customer due to how rude they are. Should be called India palace as run by Indians and not Chinese so it is definitely not a traditional Chinese takeaway.

Late delivering order and missed out an item from the order. When called to find out why it was missed, the person on the phone was insistent that he put the item in himself and was very argumentative. Will definitely not recommend, avoid at all cost

The worst chow mein I've ever had. Tasted like sainsburys ready made egg noodles mixed with frozen chicken.

Found a bug in my food, dead bug!!! Crispy shredded beef was off it smelled like gone out of date food!! Not tasty at all avoid!!

Honestly do not order from here. My boyfriend has a tummy ache not long after eating the food, a little while after I was sick from the food with a bellyache. They gave us satay chicken when I said I was allergic, food taste like gone off food it was disgusting. Awful service! Put me off Chinese for life

Order cancelled 45 mins after making the order (when I'm expecting to eat soon) so I didn't get to try it. Not great customer service, but at least I was refunded with no hassle.

I order feom them and my order never arrived, i call thw first they pick up and said we too busy driver will be with you soon... 50mins later im still here waiting and now they don't even pick up the call, goes as a busy line... Don't order from them... We order food to help them keep going with the business and that the way they trear the customers...

We are regular customers we use them pretty much every time we order food as a definate go to. Not only is the food so yummy, good prices and good delivery times. We work wierd shift hours and therfore often order late at night and we can always rely on these guys. The sesame prawn toast is soo good. We usually order on just eat and they often run discounts all the time 😊

Unless you have the pallet of a 2 year and like a bit of flavour in your food, do not use this place. Everything was either bland or really salty. The soup was alright tho.

Is first time I order Chinese food and didnt look or taste like a Chinese dish. Tastless food And very bad spicies on it........I never order extra spicies...... very disappointed 😞

Food quality is abysmal, a ton of salt in the won ton soup, another ton in the rice and a third ton of unknown herbs in the curry. Curry like I have never tasted anything like before and not in a good way! Awful and will never order from there again.

Prices and size of all portions was good, but that's the only positive things about this place. Nothing in our order looked or tasted as it should. In fact, everything was completely tasteless. I had the feeling that all the food was from some can, about 30 years old and the chef just heated it for us in the microwave. Definitely my last order here.

First order was cancelled because of lack of drivers... fine, let customer know the when I phoned to ask can you deliver ? Yes I can get new drivers,.,. Ok cool, placed another order and followed up on the phone.... well! The person on the other end is RUDE! Not helpful and said if you don’t wanna wait cancel! I said I would wait .... wrong decision I got chow mien and other than the first top layer I dished up to my mate the other half had no meat! It just tasted and looks completely wrong. My chow mein was made with vermicelli noodles with barely any meat or flavour, crispy chilli beef was hard and chewy and drenched a watery "sauce", and the spare ribs were cut in half so you actually only get half the number you ordered.

Best Chinese food in the area, also very quick delivery takeaway

Just got my takeaway - mostly vegetable dishes where veg is so raw it's inedible (brocolli and onion, not the sort of things you want underdone). Noodles are mostly about an inch long and disintegrate on picking up, so seem massively overdone. I called up about 5 mins ago because i didn't want to go straight to leaving a negative review but just got told everything should be fine and that if i had a problem i should contact Deliveroo. So disappointed!

I always order takeaway from China Palace and it is consistently incredible! Delivered quickly and is delicious. Highly recommend the Satay sauce- its the best I've ever had.

I don’t know how anyone can say it tastes good?! Bbq ribs I ordered...turned out being gravy and ribs. Who does that?! Pad Thai chicken.. don’t sell it if you can’t cook it. Chips were salt and pepper...full of chilli.. waste of money on noodles express on Uber eats.

Probablemente el peor restaurante chino de Londres. Fuimos hoy a probar Dimsum, para un almuerzo de cumpleaños. Qué gran error. La comida estaba poco cocida o sin sabor. El servicio fue pésimo, no puedo creer que este lugar tenga clientes habituales. Debería haber confiado en las críticas, ya que todas son ciertas.

I recieved an incorrect order on delivery, which I totally understand can happen but the rudeness of the person answering the phone at China Palace was astounding. I was calling to make them aware of the mistakes so the correct order can be sent out but the man I spoke to refused and hung the phone up on me. It's always a good idea to find a reliable Chinese and this is mine. 20%off if you pick up, so I do. There's an offy next door, nice properly cold white wine, not cheap and a dodgy geyser behind the counter but it'll do

Been a while...BUT..this is my trusted go to take away...the beef chow mein there's only two words to describe it......YUM YUM!

Missed the hoi sin sauce... again.

Ordered quite early in the evening so wasn't likely that the restaurant was extremely busy at the time, as was also obvious from the fact that when we called up to find out where our order was the gentleman we spoke to knew who I was before I gave him any details. however, we received our order around 20mins after we were advised it would be delivered.

Ordered red Thai chicken curry, got prawn. The sauce was completely wrong - tasted Chinese and as though it may have had some gelatin or thickening agent in it. It also had chunks of fresh tomato in it... very odd. The pad Thai was supposed to have prawns in it, but came plain with a few bits of spring onion and some crushed peanut - totally flavourless other than the slight taste of old oil. The Thai sticky rice was a large, textureless glob of gunk and so gluey I couldn't get it off my spoon. Very unpleasant. On the other hand, the sesame prawn toast was great and there was loads of it. The broccoli in oyster sauce was delicious. It tasted fresh and was once again a generous portion size. My verdict is they use great quality ingredients and simply have zero idea how to cook Thai food. To be honest, this is the first time I have ever thrown a take away in the bin. It was largely inedible. I would strongly suggest they stick to serving Chinese food and leave the Thai food to someone else. Lead with your strengths!

Food was of low quality when compared to other restaurants

Prawn toast was stale and chewy and chow mien was sloppy and greasy, black bean sauce was way too salty, have ordered from here before and was delicious so this was a real shame!

Pad Thai was tasteless and Crispy noodles weren't crispy

Burnt rice, it was the impression that they scraped what was in the pan to make the order, Pork in spicy, did not feel the taste, the only good thing, was a fried banana caramel.

Food was good but arrived 15-20 minutes later than expected

We ordered at8:25 and received our food at 10:10!!!!! I love Chinese,Thai and Japanese so i order from different shops at least twice a week but this food was absolutely disgusting !!! I'm really sorry for shop owner, i think this is not you job! Try an other business!!!!!!!

Seaweed was covered in sugar. Duck was overly crisp verging on inedible. Salt and pepper squid was soggy.

Food was quite cold when I got it, the pad Thai was really flavour less, as was the chilli chicken, which wasn't spicy at all. Delivery time was really good. The man who delivered did not respond when I thanked him for the delivery, and glared at me quite hostilely.

Delivery was spot on. Had was OK.

The food was truly awful. Prawn toast didn't have ANY prawns in it, just horribly fried bread. The ribs were as dry as board, and the spring rolls soggy and tasteless. The satay chicken was delicious, but the pork dumplings chewy and again, tasteless. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all.

The restaurant added on 30min from the original time set on justeat and they were still over 20min after that .... the sauces were very watery and even after waiting so long I didn't get the cola I had ordered! Not impressed.

My food arrived hot and earlier than expected , I requested for extra squid for my Singapore noodles and the restaurant fulfilled it free of charge. Singapore noodles were thicker noodles and not the usual vermicelli ones so was a bit disappointed as they tasted slightly undercooked . The food was ok . . I didn't finish all of it Wouldn't order again

Says it was delivered at 9:10. It came at 10:00pm. Luckily only after I phoned the restaurant to which the person who was just blunt and rude told me he tried to phone once and I didn't pick up. Never got a voice mail or a missed call and my number was correct. When I gave him a second number to help in case mine 'didn't work' he couldn't have been less interested. The order was wrong too. Don't order from here the foods not good and I never got given 10% off which this website said would happen when any orders over 10£ On that day.
