Food was cold test very bad the place dirty bathroom so bad the owner very rude when told her the service bad insulted me

im sick because that food was dirty not healthy cold awful test i never going to there again and bathroom was like landfills

I’m sorry to say it was one of the worse Chinese I’ve ever experienced. My husband is Chinese and was shocked what left the restaurant . Sweet and sour chicken looked nothing like it . Not that vibrant orange sauce. Crispy chilli beef tasted more like sweet and sour . To send food out at that standard not good . Please try do better. Think u cater for the English but let’s get more authentic.

Ordered food at 5.42pm, was due at 6.30pm, then updated and told 7.15pm. Called at 7.25pm and told 7.55pm. Called at 8pm and told they hadn't started cooking food yet. Had to cancel order and give the children a sandwich instead.

Ordered black bean beef and singapore/prawn fried noodles - and was not disappointed. Noodles were spicy and the prawns deliciously juicy and fresh. The beef was lean, tasty and well balanced/seasoned. Portion sizes were also generous and on top of all that - arrived bang on time as a take away. Very impressed and will be using these guys again - thank you.

I am reviewing as the takeaway now known as Fu House. The Chinese takeaway staples: chicken balls, black bean etc are always perfect with ingredients that look better than you ‘average’ takeaway. When we fancy changing it up to some of the vegetable dishes (aubergine and oyster sauce, vegetable satay etc) we have never been disappointed. Always arrives well packaged and hotter than if we had prepared in our own kitchen. For me, the best Chinese takeaway I have ever been lucky enough to live within delivery distance of.

Tried this restaurant after a busy day in London. Whilst it is clearly primarily for takeaway and the flow of Uber Eats and Deliveroo drivers quite reassuring, we were blown away by the quality of the food and service in the small restaurant section. Food arrived really quickly, was piping hot and was very possibly one of the best Chinese meals we've had eating out. Highly recommended.

The header on this listing should be brought up to date or removed entirely because it has been trading with admirable cooking and food for a long time. It had been running for a while as China House but since 2017 or early 2018 when the present owners refitted and refurbished the place, brought in new chefs and changed the name to Fu House and the first rate quality and delights continue to improve. Recently but over time the menu has expanded and there is a selection of regional dishes which some of us had never heard of but which are fantastic. Everything is available both in the dining room and for delivery. It’s a pity that there is no website but the business is listed with Just Eat and the Fu House name and address are confirmed there, just as the frontage and Fu House signage are confirmed on Street View and all the major search engines. Perhaps the TA processes can act on this necessary change or contact the owners/management who ‘claimed’ the business. That would be easier than applying to separately apply to freshly list a continuing business under its present well established and checkable name.

Where to start! Just go there. Amazing Chinese food. Order off the Szechuan menu - the poached chilli beef is amazing, as is the aubergine, sir fried pork balls, salt and pepper squid, veggie Mapo tofu and the green beans with pork mince etc! Genuinely the best Chinese for miles. BYOB! And the lady owner is worth going there alone!

Fu House - until fairly recently called China House, has been in Forest Hill for a while. I'm not sure if the management has changed or whether I've just become more adventurous in my selections, but the quality seems to have dramatically improved since the revamp. Don't order the standard boring takeaway dishes, go for the regional Szechuan classics like Ma Po tofu or the sea spice aubergine. These are really good. It never seems to be very full, which is a shame. I think it deserves a brisker trade than it currently seems to be getting (I hope they're making a killing on takeaways). They do a lunch time deal which is worth popping in for.

Amazing food, highly recommend the duck udon (having had it twice）Portions are just right with enough fish / meat complimenting each dish.

Food was good as always but the waiting time was a joke .... Ordered at 7:40 said I'd get it at 8:30 then didn't get it till 9:30 I was very annoyed, don't know if I'll order from here again after having to wait for such a long time for my food ... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

Took an hour and a half to be delivered. Called them when they should of been here and they still took half an hour to arrive. The quality of food wasn't great and the portions were shocking for what I paid for.

Speedy delivery and food does what it says on the tin. Would happily order from here again!

Chicken did not taste like chicken

Tasty, polite delivery man, free can of coke and prawn crackers came with ours for ordering over £20.

If you're looking for great Chinese, this is your place. Really good food and service. Delivery came 10-15 min early, happy days!

Pretty low quality food. Chicken was reheated, no crunch to the Sweet and Sour Hong Kong Style - Meant to be crunchy with sauce on top. Pretty bad.

Less than average food. Took 90 minutes because the driver got lost and in the end my brother had to go out to find him (10 minutes down the road.)

Was given stale food. Chicken balls were fried again and prawn toast as well. Won't buy from here again

Adequate pad Thai and generous with the prawns but lacking peanuts, lime or any heat...

Coke was not cold which is a big fail for a restaurant and food was very greasy, fast service abs tasted overall good

If you like Thai food, don't get it from here. This is a Chinese take away 'having a go' at Thai, and it's not good.

Ordered at 10:30 on Friday night. The food arrived promptly! I rarely write reviews but the food was piping hot and delicious. The prawn crackers were super fresh and there was plenty of food for two people, great value for money. Will definitely order from here again!

No prawn crackers as advertised for order over £25, would have ordered separately if it didn't say they'd be there. Tofu was super oily, spring rolls had barely anything in them. Crispy seaweed was ok and dumplings were amazing.

It took over an hour instead of the 45 minute maximum that was said, and the food all tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave or just more than once.
