Great food, best Chinese in the area

Always came before it changed management but its even better food beautiful

No complaints lovely food and service over the phone.

I haven't ordered a chinese for a very longtime as it always seems to be a waste of money. I gave China Garden a try as it was under new management and in all honesty, it's the best chinese I've had in years. I ordered a special chow mein in sauce and there was plenty of meat, the Prawns were huge and it tasted amazing!! Highly recommended giving the new management a try.

food shocking since takeover ordered satay chicken on skewer chicken was very dry. curry not good at all, beef in black bean sauce was just disgusting no spice in it at all, will never order from there again

3 star on atmosphere as its a takeaway and we ordered online and had delivered. Great food. Good prices. Fast delivery. Online orders have to be done via website not over the phone.

Nearly 3 hours and still no food, I'm literally 10 minutes away. Was told 40-50 minutes when I ordered, rang an hour ago to be told we were next and would be 20 mins. The food is great but the service and delivery shocking. This is not the first time we've waited this long for food either!

Proper gone down hill since changing hands and name. Everything was soggy! Rice, chicken balls in batter, salt and pepper chicken wings, spare ribs, all soggy and tasteless. I’ve no idea how they could have possibly done it. Such a shame as it used to be the best Chinese for miles and miles around, now, sadly it’s probably one of the worst.

Our first order from China Garden (what used to be Golden Kitchen) and to be honest we all really enjoyed our meals. Prices aren't bad and the food seemed to be ready a lot faster than when under the previous owners. New owners seem very friendly, so all in worth trying.

The good bit : Polite counter staff. The bad bit : Food is shockingly poor, we stopped using this particular take away some time ago as the previous owners let the quality of food rapidly decline, along with a price increase. We'd heard it's now under new management, so decided to give it a try & ordered our usual order: Special fried rice dry ... It's ok, nothing fantastic, had to warm it back up in microwave. Ordered & collected by myself. Curry sauce : Cold, reheated in microwave. Crispy shredded Beef in sweet chilly sauce : Terrible, worst I've ever had, tough as old boots, obviously a re-fry up & chilly sauce was far too spicey, actually burnt my lips, way too much chilly added. Chips : OK, not very hot. Prawn toast : OK, not very hot. Prawn crackers : Not that crispy, more chewy than crispy. Summary: First time at this take away under new management, it will defo be the last, food is way under par, way too expensive for what is served up, I don't mind paying a wedge for quality food, but this take away food is rubbish in my opinion, we only managed to eat a third of what was ordered, rest went in the bin.

Wow food was amazing tried the pork vermacelli and enjoyed every last bite the chicken balls were cooked perfect and the wife enjoyed her egg fried rice with chicken and mushrooms overall very very satisfied with the food and will def be coming back for more

They said 45mis for delivery after a hr I phoned up and they said another 30mins when it arrived they forgot to bring the drink I asked for them to bring the drink they said yea then 30mins later I rang to see where the drink was they said we will nock it off your next order so I said don’t bother as I won’t be ordering from them again

Hairs in the food stopped ordering a while back due to finding hairs in the food ordered again tonight and found small black hairs in our food again.

Found a hair in the food food was bland thrown most of it away

Ordered a chinese over 2 hours ago and have rang several times to ask how long it will be, and the response I got was ‘he probably has got lost’. Firstly, the driver should make us aware that he is struggling to find us and secondly by the time it gets here it will no doubt be cold. The food is normally good quality, I would personally recommend picking it up or choosing a chinese which are able to stick to the delivery time they say.

Great food but delivery is the worst I've had from a takeaway. Two hours to get food when they are a 5 minute drive is a joke.

Absolutely ridiculous service waiting time is appalling told to collect but waited near on a hour in shop,theres better Chinese.s worth the wait this is not one of them

Food decent. Delivery atrocious. They tell you always that delivery will be 1 hour but expect to wait twice that long. They deliberately mislead you as to the arrival time just to get your order. Not good practice.

Arrived a little later than advised but it was their first few days of reopening. First time we've ever had takeout from the Golden Kitchen and we loved everything we ordered. Plenty of it and at a good price.. Cheaper than other local Chinese take outs we've tried. Re ommend the aromatic crispy duck and the special Chow mein

Always allow +2 hours for delivery, even late when you order more than 2 hours before you want to eat.

Shocking, waited 1+1/2 hour then when I phoned to see where our food was their answer was that they hadnt even cooked it! Phoned them again and they wasn't interested in delivering. Never again!!!!!!

Great food,great service and nice prices. I've been to a lot of other take aways and paid quite a bit more and the food was poor. Delivery service is also very reasonable even at busy times. Highly recommended.
