CHINA GARDEN Chinese Takeaway in Sandwell

The food had a bad smell (like ammonia). It hit us as soon as we took the lids off. Rang up and woman pretended she couldn't hear me, then replied like she couldn't understand then hung up the phone. Refused to let me return the food as proof, refused refund and offered no help whatsoever. Appalling food. Awful service.

Good food and atmosphere friendly staff would recommend

Ordered our tea last night at 9:15pm the meal arrived at 10:40. Could not believe that the delivery man stayed in his car for 5 minutes talking to someone on his mobile. We were expecting a not so warm meal due to the time from ordering it, however the whole meal was freezing cold and quality was very poor... I telephoned them within 7 minutes of opening the meal, but no one answered, then the answer phone said we are closed now, then it said we do not open on Wednesday's! This was very strange seeing as they accepted my order earlier They should tell you it will be over 1.5 hours to deliver so you have the option to shop elsewhere and have the decency to provide a hot edible meal when you paid over £20.... I go back to what I stated years ago. You cannot get a decent consistent chinese, Indian or chippie takeaway anymore, but they keep taking your money and serving you up rubbish food that has to be thrown away! Not Happy!

Ordered a meal box. No care just all thrown together. Very disappointed

Food quantity very small compared to how they been doing it over the last 10 years.

Food was inedible, after waiting over an hour for it. It was cold, the chicken was like rubber, the curry sauce was watery and the chips were undercooked. When I brought this to the attention of the shop, they argued with me over the wait time & the temperature of the food

Absolutely beautiful, had a salt and pepper munchy box fed 2 adults with extra spring rolls for free. Would recommend 100%

I ordered today via just eat. It took over 1.5 hours to turn up. I get there’s snow but I now know I only live 4 mins away from this place. The food came it was cold so clearly hadn’t been made freshly. I called to see where the order was after it kept being delayed and the line cut, no one even called me back. I ordered 3 hot drinks which were also cold when they arrived. Would of been better of making my own breakfast. The only reason I give 2 stars is because once I’d heated it back up it was decent food and the delivery driver was friendly other than that very disappointing

Had Yung chow mein, was delicious and lots of meat

My absolute favourite Chinese. Always used to use Jade Garden but it went downhill and this is much better now in my opinion.

Free chicken wings with orders over £15. What's not to like...

Been using this chinky for years and years , always had good food, Just had two chow mains they were cold dry and tasteless, have they changed hands.

Have used these for a long time and this one tonight has been terrible the rice stodgy and stuff together in clumps chips like raw potatoes the best thing was the sauce may have to change my local as realy have not enjoyed this time round disappointed I'd a understatement was different chef and not usual staff do not recommend 🤦🏽‍♂️

Had a few meals from here via just eat. My wife is partial to salt n pepper squid. There isn't many Chinese takeaways that cook it. The other dishes we're tried has been nice and tasty.

Fairly standard menu but well made. Substantial portions, tasty. Clean joint.

Very fast service and if you spend over £10 they offer you free spring rolls or prawn crackers. Food always very good standard too.

Absolutely delicious. Mixed veg in Singapore sauce was spicy and herby with tasty soft noodles. Reasonably priced for the portions too.

Usually have this Chinese all the time, today was not nice at all it was luke warm and the beansprouts was overpowered in the noodles seemed like they were off... Will be considering somewhere else can't be affording to keep wasting money

Ordered beef and mushroom curry with chips curry was very hot but no flavour it contained only 2 small mushrooms meat tasted strange so binned the lot. Will not be ordering from here again .

Plenty of vegetables in our vegetable curry unlike some of the Indian restaurants nearby. We spent £40 ish for six of us. The Spring Rolls were below average, everything else was above.

Not impressed at all wouldn't recommend curry dishes are more like gravy and look very unappetizing & tasteless

28/12/17 - Under New Management. Yuk Sung & Chips were lovely, but the curry is not to the same standard as previous owners. The sauce isn’t very nice. We have been customers for a number of years, but we will not be returning.

That was the worst meal I have had from there won't be using them again

Excellent food good prices and fast delivery

Really good place for take away. Within 15 pounds you can get meal for 4 people. Vegetarian options are also good. Snap shot of menu is attached.
