China Garden in Swansea

Special chow mein was a chicken chow mein. Special curry had no mushrooms or prawns. The saucy was extremely salty and wasn’t finished. The ribs were god quality and a thick sauce. Will give this a miss in future. It was a late night option, but salt levels were insane.

Never ever had a bad meal 10/10

We bought half a duck and it came in a quarter tray… I might be greedy but half a duck is not what we got otherwise food amazing

I tried this takeaway by accident but honest to god is the best Chinese food I ever had and I travel a lot and I’ve tasted some here and there but this one made me go for Chinese nearly every night now (third night now )so good job honestly I hope you got more success :)

Haven't eaten in but it's now15minutes after the 20 minute window I was given for delivery food was soggy and unappealing at this stage and defiantly not worth 36 quid save your money

The food it is lovely and the staff offers a friendly serving... but sometimes they missing up the orders ... all trough it is worth good food

We've ordered here for years. But not anymore, we had curry delivered it was like a brick so congealed we couldn't eat it we always order a big order because we have a big family so obviously it's a lot if money. When we phoned to complain the lady just put the phone down on us. Absolutely disgraceful service never again no loyalty to regular customers, or by the looks at the rest of the reviews not to anyone.

Went here for a takeaway as I was in Swansea for work, and staying in a hotel, and didn’t want to go out for dinner. Not a great start as the lady serving didn’t speak English so ordering was very time consuming and took lots of pointing at menus and trying to explain what I actually wanted. But we got there eventually. I opted for the A set meal, which consists of - Beef with mushrooms Small spring rolls 5 sweet and sour chicken balls Special fried rice I asked to swap the beef with mushroom for a chicken curry (as I won’t ever eat beef in a Chinese). This was of course an additional cost of £1. But again my choice so paid it. As I was staying in a hotel I asked for plastic cutlery, which was provided for 10p, but they only had forks (no knife or spoons). I thought that’s a bit rich as I’ve just spent the best part of £15 in here. I then asked for a spare silver carton to eat out of as they obviously didn’t have any paper or plastic plates. This was also provided for me at an additional 50p. So with these 2 additions and a can of Fanta for £1.50, I feel like I’ve been done a bit. But never mind it’s my choice and hopefully the food will make up for it! The food took only a few minutes to cook which was a bit of a concern as I think this lady was also cooking. There wasn’t anyone else behind the counter or in the kitchen. Got back to the hotel and got stuck in…… The chicken balls were ok, but the sweet and sour sauce was crap. It was like someone took some ketchup added sugar and some flour. Couldn’t eat it. The spring rolls were crap. Nothing in them and no taste. The rice was ok and the chicken curry was ok. Unfortunately the food didn’t make up for all the extras or the hassle. There must be better Chinese in Swansea. If not get. Something else.

Had a delivery tonight,disappointed the meat & King prawns weren't the best,the sauce was tasty but far to many onions ,the onions filled the dish,if I ordered a onion soup it would be a nice dish but it was the main meal,won't be ordering again

They make the best Singapore Fried Rice🥰🥰 Totally recommended for any one in Swansea who loves Chinese food

Argumentative horrid people, witch put me off my food and will never be going again, they are stinking dirty to go with it in appearance and probably have a poor stinking hygiene along with there stinking dirty food

Lovely if you pick it up yourself: do not order a delivery! I did so tonight, the lady on the phone could hardly understand me, & told me it was a 40 minute wait. 1 hour 30 minutes later still no food. The driver rings me when he’s “outside” (could not find my address so I had to go and meet him on the street he was on), food was cold, Chow Mein was dried up! Could tell it had been sitting in the car for a long time. Disappointing. Did not ring to complain because the woman would not have been able to understand me.

Favourite chinese takeaway ! Wouldn’t go anywhere else :) Lovely tasting and good price ! Always recommend.

I was having a lonely bank holiday Sunday, and was feeling rather peckish. I had a look on Just Eat at different Chinese Takeaways in Swansea, but decided to stick with my favorite one, 'CHINA GARDENS'. I went through the process of ordering on Just Eat and was delighted at the 45 min delivery time. However, once I had paid, they added an extra 30 mins :0 I wasn't impressed, but there was nothing I could do, so I just rolled with it and waited while watching TOWIE. Roll on to 10:03pm I had a knock on the door, and my Chinese was here. I said my thank you's and headed to my plate that was waiting patiently for 75 mins. I opened up the bag, to my shock horror, I was greeted by some kind of meaty Curry and my loyal egg friend rice. I am seriously not impressed. Therefore, I rang them up and discussed kindly how I have not received the correct food (I ordered Appetisers and egg friend rice) however, the women hung up on me, leaving me distraught. I gave the curry the benefit of the doubt but it was so burny, I am not sure that I still have a tongue. Moving forward, I am now sitting here eating Tesco value Jaffa Cakes. Overall, my Easter sunday has been ruined. I waited 75 mins for the wrong food, and when I complained the staff hung up on me without a care in the world. Please fix this.

the food have got alot better over the past 2 years i stopped going here for a while as the curry sauce chanhed bit now back to a really loveky curry definitely worth a try...

Este es en verdad el mejor Chino que he probado nunca. Estoy tan exigente con mi comida y hemos visitado el mismo Chino durante años hasta que mi amigo me presentó a este. No comer en cualquier otro restaurante chino más. Si te gusta la comida caliente, sin duda recomendaría pedir la salsa de curry picante extra! Increíble.

Had a take away from here the other evening and I have to say it was very nice. I think the China Garden is one of the better ones in Swansea. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced.

Have had many deliveries from here. Always hot, always correct & on time. I would recommend going for the "specials", very authentic and not run of the mill generic Chinese.

Late by more than half an hour, missing food, wrong order, tasteless and terrible! Do not use, stay away, avoid, go anywhere else!

Messed the order up ended up with 3 egg fried rice and only 2 out of 3 mains ordered Chips had been re cooked Won't bother again plenty more takeways to choose from

It is still as good as ever. just off the main drag of swansea All the Indian and Chinese and fast food outlets are down st Helens rd The food here is fantastic A huge choice of food great curry ( Ask for it extra hot ) Big portions Great taste One of the Best Chinese T A s in south wales Try It

worst delivery I nave ever had food cold and soggy items missing NO REFUNDS coz we looked at food and ate 6 (overcooked) chips and 1 king prawn ball sans sweet and sour sauce vvvv annoyed as my 8 yr old wanted a real treat for us which he paid for and now hes gone to bed upset coz we are unhappy BE WARNED
