Lovely breakfast on Friday morning. The Chimes Fry and Coffee.

Food tasted amazing and presentation was great too, service was efficient, staff were nice and price was reasonable, not extremely expensive. Place is a little small so try to go when it’s not too busy to get a seat!

Great selection of food to choose from. One of the nicest coffees I have tried. Cosy decor. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. Will be going back to try out more of the food they offer. 😊

The food was delicious and we didn't have to wait long. I had the pancakes and my sister had the smaller breakfast option, both of which we enjoyed very much. I bought a couple of traybakes to take home and they were delicious too, especially the cookie pie. The staff are all very helpful and the atmosphere is cosy. The option to purchase a voucher is really handy for presents for friends/relatives.

This place is absolutely amazing the food is impressive and the staff too. Their chicken ceser salad Is absolutely fantastic 😋 without a doubt I might come back in future You won't be disappointed at all

My first time visiting Chimes.was greater on entry with a smile and a very pleasant and polite member of staff. Food was to an extremely high standard of quality. Service was second to none. Would highly recommend Chimes to anyone. Thank you very an excellent experience.

I have to say this was our second visit and the service was very good the young lady that served us was very pleasant and eager to please. The food that we had was really tasty and enjoyable and most welcome to us was the fact that there was no loud music in the background which meant that we could hear ourselves speaking. A very enjoyable lunch.

First visit, in a long time. Food not bad, but after letting the waitress know politely that we did not want hash browns or black pudding with our fry and again politely asking if we could have an extra spoonful of beans, we were told that "it already comes with beans.' No return visit planned!

Had a fry yoke broken and that's my favorite part is breaking the egg other than that very good

Good service, atmosphere and food. However, four slices of toast cost £6.00. I felt that was way too expensive and I’d no way of telling until I was paying as it’s not detailed on their menu. Not good customer service if you happen to query the price and I waited until I’d paid before doing so, in case they thought I’d not pay. Honestly £6?

My wife and I along with our 1 year old pop in on Saturday mornings and their breakfast is probably the best in the town. Great fry and my wife loves their French toast. Would highly recommend

Delicious lunch! Was treated for my birthday and it didn’t disappoint. Cajun chicken sourdough toastie yummy and really enjoyed the side salad. Mums French toast with bacon,maple syrup and strawberries looked fantastic: she didn’t share… I will just have to try those next time. Really reasonable prices & relaxed service. Well done guys! Will have to leave room for a caramel square next time!

It's been a while since I was here and didn't know it had been taken over. The take over has definitely been for the better. Fantastic staff, really friendly and funny! The food was amazing, I'm so glad I went back and can't wait to try more of their new menu. Mine was the 2 topping options on the fresh homemade pancakes (I couldn't decide between sweet or salty) and the other was the big fry. Both were fantastic, clean(not greasy) and delicious. Thank you.

Great spot for coffee & freshly baked scones with real cream (not the aerosol fake stuff). Staff are all very friendly and the facility is really comfortable with a homely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful decor & comfortable seating the restaurant is spotless . The staff are extremely friendly and their own blend coffee is the best I have had in a long time . Haven't tried the food yet but looking forward to having lunch soon . A welcome addition to Portadown High Street. Good luck all @ chimes .

I have to say that chimes is the best coffee shop and food place in the town.staff are very friendly and make you at home,the food is excellent, cappuccino are lovely, the place is clean to a high standard.would highly recommended this place as you won't be disappointed, also has an outdoor area, it's lovely and you can just relax with a coffee ☕ such a busy place and anytime im in the staff always have a smile on their face and chat away.highly recommended 👌 1st class service...

I had free time to spend, as I was having my car serviced at Mercedes-Benz, Portadown: My Taxi-driver recommended this cafe for a "bite of lunch"! He was "spot-on". I had Mince pie and chips - that was presented nicely - tasty - and at just the right temperature. Social-distancing was maintained and each table was cleared promptly and all areas (including seating) sanitised after customers left. Prices reasonable. However, even though the cafe wasn't too busy (about half-full), I had to wait around fifteen minutes to be served (despite good staffing); I had difficulty attracting a waitress's attention. Once served - I found the waitress friendly and attentive. The decor was fresh and appropriate for a cafe. The number of tables had been reduced - to allow for "distancing". Waitresses did not have masks (but I was happy with this as "distancing" was adhered to. Hygiene was good. Recommended.

Great staff, lovely treats, good coffee. Place is intimate, but layout is very not kid / buggy friendly, but staff compensate for this by being great. Tip. Don't bring kinds and enjoy :-)

Met a friend in Chimes today for a catch up, usually Chimes is very good, however today’s visit was disappointing. I arrived at 215 pm, waited at the counter for quite a while before I was served. I asked if there was any soup left and eventually was told yes, so I ordered some. It took a very long time to appear and when it did it wasn’t overly hot. I ordered a cappucino for my friend, when it did not appear after 15 minutes, I caught the attention of a Waitress who eventually brought it to the table. Unfortunately we were sitting near the back door, while we were there I had to get up at least 5 times to close the door after it had been left open by customers on their return from the restroom, or by staff. The draught from the open door was bad 😨. Need to up your game Chimes, lots of competition in Portadown. I won’t be rushing back.

There are so many coffee houses/cafes in Portadown now it's hard to find a GREAT one, all much of a muchness and the prices for a SMALL CUP of SPECIALITY coffee is ridiculous. The plus side is it's beside a bus stop so if it's cold and wet outside you could nip in to get warmed while waiting on your bus.

My fiancé and I stopped here for breakfast as it's his favourite and I have never been. It's a lovely homely cafe with plenty of choice and really good value for money. The service was also really good, all the girls were lovely and friendly and it was lovely to see them having a laugh together (it's clear they all enjoy themselves in work and I feel this is massively important as it transcends onto the customer) the food is fresh and delicious and the best way I can describe it is home cooked not your typical restaurant feel food. We will definitely be back

I would have to say this is one of the worst coffees I have had in a long time. The cake was also very inferior and had zero taste. Perhaps I sound harsh but I am being honest.

this is my regular in Portadown. Basic coffee shop and lunch menu, but all fresh and staff attentive and helpful with any requests and in serving to the table. clean and attractive layout, papers available to customers and nice atmosphere to sit for coffee or lunch. baked potato, soup, sandwiches, pie of the day all reliable favourites. wide selection of buns, deserts and fresh made scones. breakfast menu also available. plus ; for a late cup of coffee after shopping they are open and serving tea/coffee bun until 6pm.

Called in for lunch on Wednesday 20.12.2017 at 12 o clock always met with a smile and really courteous and pleasant staff. had a beautiful club sandwich offered two types of bread all fresh and really tasty. Coffee was excellent and the premises so clean and tidy and great value for money. Always a special on and great variety and choices of food Food brought to our table within 10 minutes piping hot

I have visited chimes on a few occasions with family and the staff have been exceptional, the food is superb and overall it has a lovely atmosphere and is fairly priced.

Went into Chimes Restaurant/Café this week, July 20th, quite a hot day for Northern Ireland. My wife and I fancied having an ice-cream to cool us down, but, were not successful in finding any establishment that catered for ice-cream only service. We entered Chimes parched for an ice-cream, with this request on our lips - 'Excuse me, do you serve ice-cream?' Well, the Staff of Chimes sat us both down at a comfortable table; and brought us not only two very generous portions of vanilla ice-cream, but had taken the added care to lace some excellent raspberry sauce through the ice-cream for us! We enjoyed the experience immensely, and when I went to pay the bill, it only cost a pittance for the excellent ice-cream. Well done, Chimes!

Encantador ambiente relajado con un personal amable y servicial, que nos sirvieron rápidamente. Una atractiva casa de café limpio con una buena variedad de tapas y tartas a precios razonables.

Cada sábado por la mañana visitaremos esta maravillosa casa de café. La enorme scones son deliciosos y el servicio es rápido. El personal es muy servicial y tratar regulares, como nosotros a la atención adicional, preveían nuestros pedidos. Nada es una molestia y mientras que con frecuencia están descubriendo conocer gente que por primera vez, es siempre llenos de parroquianos. Mesas de satisfacer a solteros, parejas o familias, como se hace en el menú. Bonito fry con té si antes de las 11.

Uno de los cafés en la ciudad que fofer pan sin gluten y traybakes. Me encantó descubrir que podía pedir una sandwichera para almorzar (el simple cosas) y he visitado muchas veces ya con familiares y amigos. Sólo me hubiera gustado que podría expandir como conseguir un asiento a veces puede ser complicado.
