The deli is on a nice quiet road. We had two very good sandwiches. The staff were super friendly.

Visited this place today. Small but a nice ambience. 3 rooms at the back of the shop that feel very cosy and relaxing. Only disappointment was the coffee. I take mine black and it wasn't very strong (may have been one shot only?) very watery. I would definitely recommend but if you like coffee maybe ask for a double shot. They also allow dogs which is good news for me and my dog.

Get the Turkey Sandwich. Best turkey around.

As part of an organised event we booked coffee and two brownies with two days notice. We got there early and they didn't have enough brownies so substituted the cheapest alternative, no apology. I asked if I could have a croissant or a cake instead and they declined. The staff member was really surly. The coffee was nice but very small.

Can’t find a sandwich anywhere that even nearly compares to the salami and pesto. I recommend the almond spritz too.

Since moving to Chiltern St just over a year ago, you are confronted with a plethora of cafes; though, only CSD delivers everything you would want consistently. With that in mind, I would say that from a year ago it has also improved consistently as well; through staffing, menu changes and creating a chilled, and welcoming space. The menu currently is limited, however I know this will continue to expand, grow and improve and the cafe has done.

What a great find. Hubby and I were strolling down lovely Chiltern street and popped in. Really cute owner, Sara was so enthusiastic about her handmade sandwiches and other goodies. We had an excellent, very creamy coffee and a delicious cookie. Coming back for her American grilled cheese sandwich!!

The salami pesto sandwich is the sandwich of my dreams. They often sell out. Charming place with delicious sandwiches, salads, desserts and hot drinks. A neighborhood favourite.

Overall, the deli is situated in a beautiful area with a lot of picturesque surroundings, including coffee shops, lifestyle places, and cute restaurants. The menu offers a wide range of delicious sandwiches and drinks, and the first staff member we encountered was helpful in providing recommendations and sharing their personal favorites. However, our experience was slightly tainted when another member of staff snapped at my wife and me when bringing back our finished plates. We were reprimanded for supposedly bringing in outside food or drinks, even though we hadn't and there were no signs indicating that it wasn't allowed. This incident detracted from an otherwise pleasant visit to the deli. I would suggest that the staff be more communicative and approach situations like this with a more understanding and polite attitude. Additionally, clear signage regarding outside food and drink policies could help avoid misunderstandings in the future. Despite this hiccup, the sandwiches were delicious and the overall atmosphere of the deli was enjoyable.

Sara and the team always deliver. From the right portions of food to a carefully made coffee and from their willingness to accommodate requests to the chill vibe, it’s a great place to either take away food and coffee or sit and chat at one of their tables.

I stopped there on my last visit to London. I found a gem!! Every little detail is done with love!! Everything is home made and the products are excellent quality!! I had breakfast outside but decided to take a look inside and it's very cosy!! They have a shop with deli products, everything is excellent. I also met the owner and she was lovely!! I highly recommend it to everyone!!

Chiltern Street Deli is our Marylebone "local". It feels like an extension of your kitchen and living room/reception (there are a number of sitting rooms just past the counter). The food is excellent, very fair priced (an exception to the neighborhood), and the atmosphere is relaxed. Sarah and her business partner are true owner-operators with a high level of care. This will become your "local" too.

Just wonderful. So pretty and quiet and cozy and diversified. A very nice waiter offered me a nice cookie along with my coffee. Highly recommend the place and area. I also enjoyed their sign on tje bathroom. So so realistic 💗

Rather enjoyed my ham and cheese mini baguette, even at a shocking £6.50. But shame on you for refusing to take cash. A cashless society is not a free society.

Great food. Great people. I love sitting in one of the back rooms catching up on work and they don't seem to mind. Update: June 2023 Popped in today. Very, very expensive. A small baguette for £9 is ridiculously expensive. As is £3.50 for a can of coke.

Sooooo amazing! I tried a carrot lemon cake, a coconut Canneles and Chai Latte!! All r surprising!!!!!! And found a nice nice coffee cup ('kaffeeform'), which is recycled (from coffee beans? not sure).

Great little cafe tucked away in Marylebone. There's plenty of space through the back to sit back and have a chat away from the noise of the main streets outside. The lady who served us was super friendly and the coffee and toasties were delicious as well. Absolutely worth stopping by if you're looking for a light lunch or just a quick coffee break.

My wife and I happened into this spot after leaving a suggested shop down the road. We found the folks here welcoming and charming. Both the coffee and food were outstanding. When my wife asked for a slice of carrot cake to go they brought us forks with the cake because, "I don't think your cake will make it home." And she was right! We'll definitely visit again.

The lovely guys in this place welcomed our noisy but happy group of eight 'mature' English and Spanish friends today in one of their cosy rooms at the back of the premises. We had the room to ourselves, which was lovely. They served us with a wonderful selection of excellent cakes with tea, coffee, hot chocolate and water - all with friendly attention and never tried to hurry us. Made me feel glad to be able to share such good service with our Spanish guests. Thanks very much - we highly recommend this great venue.

Friendly little cafe in Chiltern Street

From the outside this place looks quite quaint, but in the back they have hidden seating in two beautiful candlelit rooms. We ordered port, including a 100 year old bottle which was delicious, as well as a cheese and meat platter. The food was great. I would definitely recommend for a date night or for a gathering with friends

Went to get a coffee at 6:30pm on Thursday, with another 1.5hrs before closing. We were told there was an event which we understood, however we were rudely dismissed by the gentleman without an apology. Will not be going there again.

The food is very good! The negative was that I ordered a sandwich and asked to eat in. I was told to take a seat, then after 30 minutes an employee wandered through to check his phone, noticed me and said 'sorry, we completely forgot you were here!' Did I mention I was the only customer there... 😅

I’d just arrived in Marylebone and I was actually really struggling to find something for breakfast that was vegan and close to the station. Although these guys didn’t have anything on the menu, they whipped up avo on the most delicious sourdough for me. Great coffee, friendly service. A stop I definitely recommend.

This has transformed Chiltern street. Finally a good coffee shop and deli with plenty of space to sit outside during this amazing weather. The prices are extremely good - coffee and food likewise. Chiltern street itself is wonderful and I can think of no better place on the street to sit and watch the world go by. The staff are incredibly friendly and they add to the al fresco experience no end. What a brilliant time to support your local traders and have a wonderful experience too. If you are visiting Marylebone then please make a point of coming to Chilten street and enjoying some of the best coffee and food around.

Beautiful coffee shop, lunch spot and grocer

I work nearby and this place is a gem in the heart of Marleybone! The food is perfectly simple and the staff are so lovely. They had veggie options for my friend as well.

In short, I highly recommend a visit! The name changed some time ago to Canaletto Bar, and I've eaten here a few times since it changed ownership in recent months. I can't decide which of their deli style toasted sandwiches I like the best as they're all excellent! Plus the service is very friendly, and I've learned not to assume it's busy just because I can see people at the back from outside the door, as there are actually three rooms at the back with plenty of space. Give it a try!
