Chilli Banana Thai Cheadle in Stockport

Superb food, friendly helpful staff, what more could you ask for? Having not eaten here before we decided to try a few dishes and had the chicken pad Thai, chicken drunken noodles, spring rolls, prawn toast, spicy chicken wings and a king prawn dish whose name escapes me. Oh and prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce. No complaints at all. The food was stunning and was devoured by the whole family. My daughter was caught off guard by how spicy the pad Thai was but she had a feast of everything else.

The food was gorgeous, and the starter was amazing. One problem, I got a green curry, which was lovely, but they got my order wrong, I ordered drunken noodles , next time?

Best Thai food I've ever had, all these morons writing bad reviews all sit at home all day on the dole. Food is incredible, Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle is recommended. Expect to spend £10/person. Very reasonably priced.

Gone downhill since being taken over by Chilli Banana. Just had Chilli Duck and fried rice (£15.90 for takeaway). Duck was generally hard, deep fried duck covered in standard sweet chilli sauce with a few additional chilli's. the only veg was onion but for some reason it was on a pile of lettuce. Seems like they use the same ingredients for Indian and Thai. Unfortunately this extended to the rice where the egg fried rice is Indian basmati rice which doesn't cut the mustard either. Regrettably the only 'Thai' around but I'd avoid if possible.

Horrible food. Curry was very watery. For sure wasn’t made by a Thai chef. Very disgusting. Wouldn’t ever come back again prefer to go to Noks instead.

Made a complaint about the quality of my takeaway last Saturday, been waiting 5 days the manager to call me back and he’s just ignoring me. This is no way to run a business. You’ve lost a customer. The food was great one week, then terrible the next. Food was bland and recipe/ingredients used changed from one week to the next so you’ve no idea what you’re getting. 👎

Being a vegetarian I find that most take aways does our meal like a surplus to requirements.. No thought or creativity to make the meal appetizing. Last night I had a surprise from Chilli Banana. Was enjoyable. It tasted nice, looked nice and great timing. Thank you ..😊

My friends and I visited Chilli Banana in Cheadle which is a hidden gem that truly deserves recognition. The moment I stepped through their doors, I was transported back to the aromas of Bangkok also the décor adds that little extra. Their menu is a tantalising mix of classic dishes and unique creations, all made with the freshest and most flavourful ingredients. The standout dish for me was their Pad Thai, which was not only beautifully presented but packed with a perfect balance of sweet, sour and spicy flavours. The stir-fried noodles were perfectly cooked and combined with a delicious sauce and a generous serving of juicy prawns, vegetables and peanuts. It was simply divine. The Green Curry, which was a true flavour explosion in my mouth. The creamy, spicy sauce was infused with the bold flavours of lemongrass, ginger and basil, and the tender chicken was cooked to perfection. It was a true feast for the senses. I was also impressed by the warm and friendly service at Chilli Banana. Chilli Banana is a fantastic Thai takeaway that offers delicious food, great service, and a warm and inviting atmosphere. If you're looking for an authentic Thai experience, look no further than Chilli Banana. I highly recommend it.

Got our first takeaway from here tonight and sadly we were very disappointed. The Thai curries were bland, watery and lacked substance. Was a bit annoying that the price on the menu was increased by a couple of pounds once the meat was chosen too. Not like there was any other option! Overpriced for what was delivered :-(

Tasted fresh, decent food. Seabass lacked flavour and for £13, you would like to get a much bigger portion of basil prawns (flavour was good).

When this place first opened it was amazing ( but interestingly was also still trading as Aroi ) since it has gone down hill quickly, ordered numerous times but last nights order was a serious let down and boarder line negligence on the restaurants behalf. Not only was the food no where near as good as it was, they took an order which mentioned some very serious allergies, to which we were not confident that they even payed attention too, even when we called up to confirm the staff were useless and couldn’t confirm it was safe for my wife to eat, she went hungry - we felt it was better than her suffering an anaphylactic shock and dying….
