Chikara Teppanyaki in Greenwich

Entré aquí para cenar después de un breve viaje de compras. Tuve un plato de comida de pollo que venía con arroz y ensalada. El pollo estaba muy bueno y había mucha. Toda la comida era muy buena relación calidad-precio para 10 y sin duda volvería a comer allí.

I went to Chikara in Westfield today (16 March 2019 at 8.30pm) I was very disappointed with the service I received this evening. I had asked for ice and the staff member said she’ll bring some. Once I got my food I spoke to another staff member with black hair in a bun rudley told me that there was none. A third staff member I asked got me ice without any issues! Although the food was good I was totally let down by staff who clearly don’t know what they are doing.

Had the chicken teriyaki meal, breaded prawns and katsu chicken. Everything was delicious and the portions were good.

Go somewhere else! Was here with my girlfriend and I ordered a prawn ramen but got beef ramen. Staff tried to be rude to my girlfriend and Lilian even started laughing when she raised the issue; therefore, I had to step in and order another dish because they tried to pin it on me. Although I didn't check my receipt, there was no need for rudeness. There was only one decent member of staff who did apologise as should the others, but she was not involved in the incident.

The moment I found out it’s halal, it has always been my favorite lunch or dinner when I visited London. Food are excellent!!! I ordered beef ramen, wow. It was served fresh and tasty!!! And they serve other grilled food too!!! Highly recommended!!

To start, with the worst of all!! We got extremely sick of the food after we got home! We are sure, we got poisoned because the quality of the food was and we got strong stomach ache and of course, we couldn't leave the toilet for the whole day. Furthermore, the service was the worst, no welcoming smile, absolutely anything! The restaurant is suppose to be Japanese, however what we ordered was absolutely Chinese! I ordered Vegetarian Ramen, it was fried noodles with onions (typically Chinese dish), ramen is special Japanese kind of soup with noodles and veggies on the top. My mom ordered meat with rice...the way it was cooked again Chinese. So we got awful stomach issues and the food was not even what we wanted on the first place. NEVER GOING TO COME BACK THERE ever again!

Los fideos son sabrosos, con la salsa y el chile en polvo también! Me sorprendí cuando el contador dijo 7. 90 para fideos y repollo. Es el mismo costo para la opción de carne. ¿Las verduras son más baratas que la carne? ¿No es esto cierto?¿Y qué tal una sonrisa o una bienvenida en el mostrador también? No lo entiendo, si quieres que tus clientes regresen, dales la bienvenida.

Siempre hacemos un esfuerzo para hacer cola y tener la deliciosa comida japonesa a la parrilla en Chikara en Westfield, White City porque tienen una buena relación calidad-precio y, lo que es más importante, un excelente servicio. Un agradecimiento especial al encantador personal, Saddam Sarkar, que siempre es agradable y tranquilo sin importar cuánto tiempo dura la cola. ¡Smo! ! Altamente recomendado.

Probably my go to meal before and after gym, food is always excellent, lovely staff and great service! Probably one of my favourite restaurants in Westfield! ❤️🙏🏻

Ate here with my family when for a day out of shopping and had the beef ramen and the portion size was spot on so was the food. Very good value for money

I usually order chikara everytime i head to westfield , they have great customer service and are willing to listen to customers needs. Their food are good and the ingredients they use are fresh. I recommend trying out their mochi which are really well made. Their terriyaki chicken is cooked really well and have a right balance of sweetness, also their miso soup taste really good but sometimes theres too much miso paste that it taste too salty.

Thank you (especially Lilian and the Chef!) you guys went out of your way to cater to my garlic allergy and I appreciate it with all my heart. The food was delicious! It’s not fast food but it’s great quality of service and food. Highly recommend it xx

The karaage chicken starter was plain and tasteless and the beef ramen main was vastly undersized and incredibly dry. Both had the look of dishes that had been sitting under a hot lamp for some time. I only finished it because it had taken 20 minutes queuing to order and a further 15 minutes waiting for the food to be 'prepared'. Standard overpriced food court offering rather than genuine fresh japanese cuisine.

He elegido para comer en Chikara en casi cada visita a Westfield (ubicado en el hall de comida) porque estoy enamorada de la comida! Es tiempo para una revisión; pollo y carne es absolutamente deliciosa! tepenyakki El katsu curry de pollo también es excepcional y el arroz se acompaña de ajo muy bien. Sus fideos pollo teriyaki también son fantásticos! En general, realmente es un lugar que volvería una y otra vez! Si te gusta la comida de estilo japonés, este es el lugar para estar! La mejor parte ha de ser que es todo Halal! !

Had a lunch with my husband i love japanese food so tried here and i’m glad we tried it had a seafood teppan set and husband had a beef teppan.. miso soup was good salad is good the fried rice is really tasty and the seafood and beef is really good..the only thing i’m not happy is the drinks we had a can of diet coke for £1.95 each.

I simply say average Japanese fast food. The quality is not excellent. However, it is acceptable considering you are having fast food. It has a reasonable price for the sets. I recommend you to try the Teriyaki sets.

I’ve tried a meat dish at this restaurant which tasted pleasant. All in all this place offers a good international food alternative should you be a frequent visitor of the mall.

The wife and I have eaten here a couple of time when we come to shop. The food court is busy but space can easily be found, food is very good, recommend the chicken teppanyaki set, good flavour and generous portion.

Visited Westfield chikara rest, with my wife and we had chilli prawns and ramen chicken which was very tasty and filling to energise my Mrs for her shopping spree...food order didn't take long writhing 5-10 min served, portion size also very reasonable and price was average as you would expect to pay in Westfield, but overall experience of the was good, taste, flavour and the temperarure of the food was great.

Was wandering through the Westfield looking for something to eat and noticed alot of people sat around eating food from this place.Server was smiley and very polite.Ordered Beef Ramen, and ice cream. Short wait and collected my food.Portion was just right, and the food was delicious. Can't fault it. Definately be back when visiting the centre,

Been going there weekly for rice dishes but decided to try seafood noodlesYou will not get better & informed that the noodles are in fact made on site fresh!

The prawn was lovely, the breading was very tasty and crunchy and the prawn was tender and juicy. The takoyaki balls were very tasty as well. Totally love it. I will definitely come back like I always do.

Tasty food. Good sized portions. Would definetly recommend the teriyaki prawns. My friend had the Teriyaki Chicken which he really enjoyed. Both dishes come with Rice and salad. The salad dressing has a lovely fruit flavour, very nice.

Just had a mixed seafood Ramen, tasted great but so small for £9.90 and the definition of mixed seafood was 5 pieces of squid and 5 prawns. I wished I have bought sandwiches, it would have been more filling and a lot cheaper.... Very disappointed

Out shopping over the Bank Holiday with my daughter and we decided to check out the food on offer in the Centre. Selected Chikara and was pleasantly surprised. She had the Teriyaki Chicken set and I had the Teriyaki Beef set. This included miso soup, a salad, teriyaki beef and a generous portion of rice. Filling and enjoyable.

I had a beef black pepper, the food was really tasty and the staff were friendly.Definitely come back there again!

I go quite regularly with my daughter and she loves the salmon set with miso. I like the chicken curry dish and Ebi Fry. Very helpful staff and great customer service from Ioana. The food is fresh and the best restaurant to visit when eating in Westfield (white city)

The food was well marinated and tastes fantastic! Good value and you get a lot of portion as well. Highly recommended for quick and delicious japanese food!

Was hungry and looking for an affordable meal. It was good that i chanced upon this place. Friendly staff and food came extremely quickly. Had the teriyaki chicken and it was tender.

We were winding down from all the shopping and we end up hungry and craving for satisfying grub. We have landed at the Westfield Food Court which has loads selection of restaurant from different cuisine. I was craving for rice thus opted for Chikara.I have ordered the Karaage Chicken (Crispy Fried Chicken) with rice. It was really scrumptious. I have enjoyed the food so much and the portion is pretty good as well that I end up taking home a doggy bag. The price is not too bad especially after I have blew loads of money for our lunch in a rather pricey restaurant.I will definitely come back to this restaurant the next time I will visit Westfield Shepherd's Bush.

I had the chicken ramen which is noodles. Was bland but you can add chilli spice afterwards. Think they cone out luke warm get cold quickly so need to eat fast! Not too bad but would try something else next time. Friendly service in westfield white city.

Had a pleasant meal with fairy fast service. Some of the chicken teriyaki was a bit dry but overall a pleasant meal. The fried king prawn was nice.

I visited after my wife said she had some lovely beef noodles here, and i wasn't disappointed, i will be back. Reasonable prices, reasonable speed, good portions and helpful staff. Food was tasty and cooked as i like it.

The girl who took my order was mortaring any interest in my order on answering my questions about the food. I asked for specific noodles but they cooked and served me the wrong ones. When I queried they said they are what I asked for and made no attempt to change order or refund my money. The meal was wasted and I bought a burrito from another stall. Very disappointed with service. Manager was asked by other staff members to help it she didn't want to help in anyway or to offer and customer service. Won't be going back.

Never tried Japanese grill before so we decided for a quick bite to eat after a hard shop in Westfield. You place your order via the till, they have the food displayed in the cabinet in front so you can see what it looks like. ( I was disappointed to see near closing they ended up throwing the food displayed when ideally this could be sent or given to a homeless shelter etc although I know it may have been out all day but a little thought of wasting food could be done). So I went with the Chicken Ramen with no rice but extra salad and omg this was amazing the sauce on the salad is just right and the chicken with the spicy sauce is a dream. You must try this. Overall I've given this a 5 star rating as the food never disappoints me and the service is nice as well. Chikara is located on the 2nd floor of Westfield white city and is opposite the Nando's restaurant which is on the third floor plus opposite Apple Store if that's easier.

Located in the food court of Westfield shopping center. Nice dinners served on china in food court. Nice portions provided. Chicken terriyaki is particularly good but is mostly dark meat chicken.

They served the driest and thinnest chicken to children and their miso soup is terribly out of this earth - buying an instant miso soup is a lot better than what they served. This restaurant used to be brilliant and we loved coming here but it has now lost its game. The bento boxes you'll get from Eat Tokyo is way, way, way better and the prices only differs in about £2 to £3. I wasted my hard earned £39 here.

Visited for quick after shopping lunch, ordered two different main dishes, and got, actually the same mass for noodles with different equally tasteless additives - beef, and how the call it "seafood". Not recommend. !

When I've got mybeef teryaki, there was an insect on top. Waiter said it was ok and I had to ask to change it. They also said the Mochi was bigger than it really was. Everything was tasting aweful, and the salad was old as we could see the stains in the leaves. I wasn't expecting anything amazing, since it is fast-food, but a minimum quality and hygiene should be basic. Never more

Chikara Teppanyaki is a based within the Westfield White City food Court serving Japanese Grill at a very affordable prices I normally order one of their set menus which come with Miso Soup, Chicken or Lamb, Sticky Rice and side salad. The food is ready super quick and all freshly prepared. The soup is great in opening my appetite and the mains are bursting with flavour. The salad crisply with a drizzle of mango.All in all, A great meal experience, and will definitely be returning next time we have dinner at Westfield’s.

The thing is there is a limited choice in some ways. You are indoors and on the move in a very big shopping centre. I thought I'd have a seafood and noodles for nearly 10 pounds. I mainly ate onions. I will not go back to have this and chewy squid and a few prawns which were edible.

As someone who visits Westfield food court often, I can say I find most of the places pretty boring! Chikara, on the other hand, is always a pleasure. It's always my first choice. The service is always very friendly, the food is freshly cooked and consistently good. Probably the best quality and value for money in Westfield! Highly recommended.

I was here when it was very quiet, nobody waiting for their order or people queuing (see pic), so there's no excuse for the manager to be standing in the kitchen area and chatting to his staff for almost 45 minutes, all taking selfies of each other in the kitchen. How about getting them to cook and serve food?? Service was terrible, I waited 35 minutes for my food to be ready and this is ridiculous at a food outlet in a shopping centre food court. I think the manager/owner has no clue. Their home made ice tea is delicious and the only thing I would return for (see pic). I ordered Prawn Ramen (see pic) - what a crock of rubbish!! I've been to Tokyo, this version of "Ramen noodles" is just an insult to Japanese tradition. It was bland, no flavour whatsoever, oily and lots of spring onions for vegetables and that's it. The noodles itself, which is a time honoured Japanese tradition, were chewy and were not cooked into the sauce to flavour, which is how Ramen are flavoured. Honestly, you wouldn't know the difference between these and store bought ones.

Having waited to be served there was a man who returned his full order and requested a refund as his food was cold which worried me a little as there are a few places to chose from to eat within the centres food court. The food took around ten mins and was perfect for me but my partner said her noodles were a little over laced with soy sauce. Whilst we were eating a neighbouring fellow diner also had to return some of his food back as it was cold. Not sure if this was a temporary issue or a regular theme. For me the food tasted very fresh and full of flavours. Delicious!!

Good range, still trying. Teriyaki, I once made the mistake of not getting rice with it, so was too salty.

Try chikara . I think is the best restaurant in shepherd's bush. They have a good customer service and the best noodle in London

Me and my family members went to the Shepherd's Bush shopping centre. We were eat 2salmon special sauce set and beef ramen noodles and seafood ramen, starter edamame bean after finished our shopping. Specially Awesome food,nice smell. If my house nearest this restaurant I will be there every day. Thanks chikara providing for delicious food.

Als onderdeel van een food court viel onze keuze op deze eetgelegenheid (Japanse keuken). De keuken is niet erg groot en eten bestel je aan de kassa. Zitten kan in een centraal deel, waar ook gasten van andere gelegenheden zitten.De setting was misschien niet bijzonder, de service was goed en het eten was er prima (en daar kwamen we tenslotte voor).

Westfield shopping mall. There lots of restaurants but chikara is the best. Ramen is very nice . Crispy fry chicken. Thariyaki chicken quite nice. Services are nice as well. Thanks see you guys.

We went to Westfield, Shepherds Bush and looked for somewhere to have lunch. We decided on this outlet. All I can say is I persevered with my chicken dish though nasty but my daughter was repulsed with her so I went to the counter and got a refund. My review is only about the food, but the eating area had tables left cluttered with uncleared trays etc. the floor was unclean. It was altogether a horrible experience. My daughter went to a different outlet to buy food with the refund.

Very salty, oily, fast food, that you have to wait ages for. The bottle of water was alright. Better off trying somewhere else.

One of the worst or probably the worst lunch we have ever had. We ordered mixed seafood teriyaki and chicken ramen which was tasteless with almost raw onions and no sauce of any sort. We tried eating it for 5 minutes as we had paid 20 pounds for two plates but we couldn't and had to have lunch again from some place else. Do not eat here. It's very bad food.

Came here for a quick lunch whilst shopping at Westfield. Ordered the chicken ramen, which was served up within 10 minutes and was hot and plentiful. I didn't find the staff rude at all, maybe they've changed since the previous reviews. I'd recommend this place for lunch, definitely makes a change from having chips with everything!

The food was good and the smell also. But Their employees were very rude and they don't smile to you ever i think the employees will Destroy the reputation of the restaurant

Wow, I never expect this to be this good. Beef teriyaki is delicious, meat is tender and moist. The garlic egg fried rice is just perfect, not to oily not too dry. I will definitely come back again and try other things on their menu.

Just don't do it, the food at this place is truly awful, noodles were oily and salty, chicken dry and tasteless ( and Halal without suitable warnings ) the whole thing was terrible, never again and I would advise you to give this one a very wide berth

I am not sure how they can call this Japanese food, but in my opinion this has nothing to do with Japanese food apart from the name. Today after 8pm we ordered a prawn ramen, noodles were too oily, overlooked, all served on dirty plates. We have eaten a bit and left majority of the portion. Big disappointment. We just wasted £23! Please improve a quality of food.

The food we ate was lovely but unfortunately the awful service is what 100% let this place down. II appreciate it was a very busy Sunday a few weeks before Christmas, whoever the lady (Reddish hair) insisted on SHOUTING at every customer WHAT CAN I DO FOR YOU SIR PLEASE SIR PLEASE in a rush to serve as many people as possible. What this then does is create a back log of people who are waiting for their food, which is when it got bad. The lady gave us the food alarm thing, and advised us very abruptly, '25 minutes!' We went on our way and around 15 minutes later the alarm went off. We gradually made our way back as we had been advised by her herself 25 minutes, and due to the volume of people there it took us a further 10 minutes to find somewhere to sit. My partner went to collect the food and she told him 'i buzzed you AGES AGO!' The food was stone cold and my partner asked them to heat the food up as she had advised us directly that it would take 25 minutes, and we came back after 25 minutes. She flat out refused, began to raise her voice at my partner when he pointed out she had advised us 25 minutes, and then said she was too busy to deal with us. She became very hostile and unreasonable and in the end we took our albeit tasty but very cold food. Disgraceful service and I have made a complaint to the company direct, when you pay so much for food in the capital city you do not expect to be treated this way and I will never eat there again, which is a shame. Lovely (but cold!) food - awful service.

Food was so oily and there were too much onion!! We had the beef teriyaki which was salty and oily, mixed seafood tepanyaki which was oily again, and mixed seafood ramen that was oily and had NO BROTH. I lived in japan for 2 yrs and the ramen that I had would always be noodles drowning in delicious broth. To be honest, it reminded me of a certain chinese restaurant in chinatown, rather than a so-called japanese place. The southeast asian lady was so rude too - wont even smile and wont look customer in the eye. I know it's a stressful job but if she hates the job, then maybe she shouldnt work there. I paid £10-12 for each dish and I wish I went somewhere else! The nicest thing about the any of the dishes is that the squid was perfectly cooked. But I wouldn't pay that much again for 3 pieces of squid!

Hadn't noticed this place before at the back of the food area on the balcony, beneath the Vue cinema in Westfield Shopping Centre. Like the others in the food area, you order your meal and pay for it, they give you a handset and go and wait at your table until it buzzes when ready. I had one of they set meals, Tiriyaki King Prawn and a glass of fresh orange juice, 10.90 for the meal and 3.25 for the juice. The meal comes on a long tray, the prawns in the sauce on one plate, the rice on another, and a separate little bowl of miso soup, and a dish of pickled vegetables. Very tasty and I will certainly try some of their other dishes in future before I go to the cinema. They also seem to offer take away orders.

first time I have ever tasted their food....... I visited THE WESTFIELD, White City in London,and this is where I saw Chikaraand I thought I must try it coz I have not seen this anywhere in the city where I live!So bought 3 set meals for me and my nieces and we all loved it! The set meal is very satisfying and very filling.... yummyliscious!will eat again if I see this place anywhere in the UK :)Good value for money
