Chick'n'Chaii in Merton

Everything is the best here but the best thing in the menu is Spicy wings. The staff here is very sweet and welcoming. Mr Jan is the sweetest. Chai is also very nice I visit this place often.

The guy who works there is very rude, waited about 15 minutes for the food to be told I have to pay for sauce and that I can’t even get the drink I want because it costs extra even though this isn’t specified, but that’s a small issue i didn’t mind it anyway, the chips are put in a bag inside another bag to hide how little they give and the chicken burger fillet is literally flat, like a piece of ham, the strawberry mirinda was the best part of the meal

I come here for my grilled chicken, the food is delicious.

Chicken , pizzas are overpriced and chai I would not recommend buying it here as it’s very expensive I rather go to Morley’s down the road which is much cheaper and quality is better.

Chicken wings was too dry and dark because of the oil. You need to change the oil often.

Disappointing. Very salty wings. Bought on a couple of occasions and it was the same. I love salty food but this is way too salty even for me. Burger are also on the small side

I never wright, reviews - but this Chichen shop it’s very good .. they are clean and no matter how many hours in their service it’s top quality and friendly …. Def recommend the whole 2 chickens !

I ask nicely that do u accept cards and he said a minimum spend of £5, ok I pay to old uncle but he is very rude when I ask for chilly sauce and it was an extra .20p, I already pay for the menu and he said can’t give you sauce. Because minimum £5 rule,I will never go there for getting food like the homeless and serve like the homeless, not good service at All.

Horrible service(( avoid this place !You can't pay by card unless you spend £ 4. They don't give salt and sauce unless you buy whole meal , waste of time

The single worst cup of masala chai I have ever had. My partner and I couldn't even agree on whether it was tea with chilli in it or coffee with chilli in it. Either way, undrinkable unidentified brown liquid with only one spice added. Almost impressively awful.

I went here after many years only because I don't come to this side of Wimbledon Park often. I was so happy to see its still open after the pandemic. The elderly owner who is 76 years old was a delight to talk to and he served me and my kids with so much love and he really made us feel welcome. I loved my grilled chicken burger meal, even my husband was surprised how quickly I finished my meal as it was absolutely delicious and I am a very fussy eater. My kids loved their meals also and they loved how we were greeted and served. Please go visit this place you won't be disappointed.

You can't change a menu for customer?? If I don't fancy a drink(more of the ice than soft drink)with meal,You can't force customers to have it!!!Change a menu if they want!!!!

I came here I was told to wait 10 minutes for the chicken grill and then I ended up waiting 25 minutes

staff, completely incompetent, they sleep on the go, and no one hurries anywhere, I'm not talking about the taste of food, it is missing

Took 10 wings on top of the box was 5 fresh and under it was 5 old ones. I naver had none my family had it and all had diarrhoea. I don’t like giving bad reviews but it’s not nice that people get ill with your food. 🤧

Average. It's a chicken place. Had to wait 15 mins for my chicken as my friend was having a burger. That took more time than my chicken, apparently. Chips..ok, chicken....definitely not hot enough. Taste was ok if generic. Wouldn't stay away but wouldn't make a beeline.

Grumpy staff...never seem to smile. Rude attitude. Bad customer service. Charges for sauces and dips. They shouldn't be allowed to operate unless until they can learn to put a fake smile on their faces.

Spicy chicken wings are amazing, barbecue wings are also good, barbecue chicken burger is good, corn on the cob, coleslaw and fries all good. Fast service but sometimes shortages of certain items.

Extremely rude main old guy, food took ages, tastes terrible, extremely expensive (much more than KFC). Was refused more napkins, tap water and wasn't allowed more than 3 sachets of sauce between 2 of us hahaha what a joke. Illegally still charges for card payments. Don't know how this place survives, must be laundering or something.

if you live in Earlsfield it's worth travelling to CC for chicken - the standard is far higher than the generic shops on garret lane - where you should really be ordering a kebab, not chicken.

Necessary weekend visit; a very warm welcome from the Owner of the shop on Saturday mornings and weekly discussions with the young boy keep it liveeee!! Foodwise you must try out the Piri Piri chicken and Jalapeño bites.. Fab prices!! AN ALL ROUNDER!!

Had to review again second time in a week bought peri peri and it was amazing ; manager sorted my order out in a matter of seconds. Got home peri peri was amazinggg!! Paying a another visit next week!!!

Was served by an older gentleman whose customer service skills were non-existent. He spoke to me an a manner which indicated confusion, all I was ordering was a chicken burger. I ordered The meal as a takeaway and I was presented with a can of Coke instead of using the soft drink machine. I can only presume the soft drink machine was either not functioning or this was a cost saving measure. The food was stringy and tasted stale it probably was cooked well beforehand and may not be the best quality meat. After a few bites I had to throw my bag in the bin. It was seriously that bad. I have been to loads of chicken cottage restaurants all over London but this was the worst one I have been to. Avoid.

Great new place to take the kids for lunch, they actually have kids meals as well as high chairs. Glad to finally have something different in the area.

The chicken quality was the highest I have ever seen, looks like nandos has a competitor.

I live just round the corner and was delighted when I found out chicken cottage was opening. I've been there 5 times now and on the most part it's been ok. That said almost every time I've been there they've forgotten one part of the order; 1st time they forgot the fries with my box meal, 2nd time I didn't get a side, 4th time I ordered extra wings and I just got the standard order. Small things but as I tend to pick stuff up on the way back I haven't complained. Some might even question why I actually went back. Well I'm now part of that group. My 5th time, and now final time, has ended up with me making toilet visits every 15 minutes. I've got food poisoning, imagine it was chicken that was left out to long. My 1 star review may be a little biased based on how I'm currently feeling but anywhere I buy food from and it makes me sick, cAnt really get any higher.
