Chicken Palace in Lambeth

I asked the question if the wings are fresh and was advised by the person serving me “yes they’ve only just come out of the fryer” I ordered 6 wings and burger etc etc The wings harder than a rock and tasted awful, I told the man who served me and he completely ignored me and came across arrogant and dismissed my feedback, I then decided to throw them in the bin in front of him. This was on Monday 15th July after 6pm, also while waiting to be served he didn’t serve me till he came off his personal call on his mobile. I’ve been here previously and the person who speaks multiple languages is amazing and always serves fresh food, but on this occasions service and food was disgusting.

Great food and very good value. Chicken is very tasty. Friendly staff. If you're looking for something quick this is a great place.

Este sitio me salvó más de una vez en Londres, todo lo que probé con mi familia estaba muy bueno, desde el pollo con arroz a las alitas, y lo más bueno de todo, eran los precios económicos que maneja el lugar, dónde puedes conseguir una buena comida a 5£, aparte de que mantienen abierto hasta muy tarde, cuándo ya todo lo demás cerró. Lo único medianamente malo es que el sujeto que atiende es súper amargado, pero en mi caso esto me terminó siendo risorio al ver lo rancio que era y que igual sólo le hablas para ordenar y luego simplemente comes.

We were staying round the corner at a hotel for a long weekend. We visited twice during our time, the man serving was friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely amazing, and very well priced. We are so glad we stumbled across this on our way back to our hotel.

We had been out cycling all day and wanted somewhere close to our hotel to eat. It was late and we hadn't booked anywhere and we stumbled across this little cafe/takeaway. It wasn't much to look at - just a typical takeaway counter with half a dozen tables in front but don't let that put you off. Tired and hungry at almost 10pm on a Sunday night we decided to give it a go. My wife and I had peri-peri chicken and chips - she had a quarter, I had a half. Our daughter had a kids' box of Southern fried chicken and chips. We all had cans of drinks. The peri-peri chicken was cooked fresh to order and was excellent. The flavour was superb and the chicken portions were meaty and much more substantial than Nandos. And the best part? The bill! It was so low I went back to the counter to ask if he had robbed himself. He checked it again on the till and said yes, - £13.50 was correct. That would have cost three times as much in Nandos and the food was much better. OK, the surroundings were not as nice but at that time of night, we didn't have much choice. We were so glad we gave it a go and would definitely return next time we're in London.

Everything here was a little expensive but the food definitely made up for it. The chips are exceptionally good but the chicken just tastes weird

My meal was good but there were unable to do pizzas.. I went to this place for a pizza so I wasn't happy. Slippery floor and no toilet.

Stopped here to grab some fried chicken before heading back to my hotel. Service was slow and several people that ordered after me received their meals first even though we ordered pretty much the same thing. Even though it's fast food it took almost 20 minutes to get mine. With all of the other options in the area I won't be returning.

Chicken Palace is next door to Marlin Waterloo Hotel. It offers halal muslim food at cheap prices. Food is good and service is quick. Can be cleaner but is okay for the price range.

This is what is called a "hole in the wall" but for what it is, it was delicious. We have a picky eater in the family and they were very happy with the chicken nuggets. The wings were a bit spicy for kids but the grilled chicken was great.

I was curious about this place since it was right in front of my hotel, but once I get here, I kind of changed my mind. The staff is cordial and nice, but the food is everything but high quality. I think it's pre-cooked, you can feel it's not fresh or prepared at the moment. It's the equivalent of an Italian low quality kebab house, so I definitely wouldn't come back here.

Alimentarse en Londres puede ser un desafío con bajo presupuesto. Este lugar es rico, abundante y barato. No es la mejorrr cómida, es comida rapida. Pero buena comida rápida.. y es barato!... no se si les dije ya que es barato! jaja

Simples, um pouco esfumaçado (creio que o exaustor não dá muita conta) mas a comida é boa e muita gente local para para comer por lá: gostei.

La comida aquí es muy buena, y muy económica!. Recomendable el pollo peri-peri (ojo con el nivel de picante). Lugar muy chico y poco glamoroso para comer allí, y quizás se prefiera pedir para llevar!.

Local regentado por unos Hindús. Para comer o cenar un día está bien, tienen pollo frito, wraps, hamburguesas, pizzas...un mezcladillo de todo un poco, aunque su “especialidad” es el pollo. Son un poco lentos en servir.

Stayed in hotel opposite for the weekend. Popped in first night to grab a quick bite, not really wanting to, but so glad we did, had something to eat here every day of stay! A las 22 ya estaba cerrada la cocina de un sábado del Italian Cotto, y acabamos en este comiendo una hamburguesa que no estaba mal pero nada de otro mundo, pero muy económico.

Il locale è di fronte al Tune Hotel. Molto economico. Chicken wrap favoloso. Fanno anche la pizza non solo il pollo.

As pessoas costumam menosprezar esses pequenos restaurantes e fast-foods; Mas eu, como um bom amante desse tipo de comida, confesso que o chicken palace é um lugar que me dá saudades e pena de não ter no Brasil. O frango frito do chicken palace é o melhor que comi em minha vida, sim, é gorduroso, mas é sensacional. Acho até melhor que o KFC. Frango frito com barcecue que me dá água na boca só de lembrar, com chipotle então, Jesus. Se você é um amante de fast-foods gordurosos e deliciosos, prove. E o mais interessante é que foi o prato mais barato que comi na Inglaterra. 4 libras a porção com batata frita e uma pepsi!

Famintos depois da visita ao Museu Imperial da Guerra, que fica próximo, não achamos outras opções. É bem simples, com um preço mais acessível. Vários tipos de fast food (pizza, sanduíches, salgados), todos meio gordurosos, mas saborosos. O atendente, um indiano, foi muito atencioso, apesar do nosso inglês sofrível. Só demorou um pouco, pois ele fazia tudo, do pedido à cozinha. Apesar dos detalhes, atendeu a nossa necessidade imediata.

You can guess from the name that chicken is their no. 1 thing, but if you're around Westminster Bridge Road & fancy pizza, you can't go wrong with this place.They looked a bit shocked when I asked for pizza the 1st time we went in, but I was not disappointed. Staff are really nice too.

AND they messed up my order - Had to call them several times regarding my missed order items: No chips or drink in my wrap meal and the wrong wrap was delivered (It turned out to be lamb when I ordered chicken!) When I called them, they were incredibly rude and unhelpful! Haven't had such bad service in my life!! Don't bother with this restaurant - Absolute horrible!!

Delighted with delivery time! The fried chicken was lovely - but the meal was ruined by beef cutlets that were freezing cold and had little flavour, and the biryani was dreadful. Dry, overcooked rice, terrible flavour. Sorry, but won't be back.

Got my whole order wrong- the driver did not have change with him- so I lost out on £3.78. I won't recommend this place at all.

Food was delivered really quickly, slightly ahead of expected time. Only problem, pizza lacked tomato sauce. Would order from here again though.

Pizza was delicious, however garlic bread was slightly burnt and chicken quite fatty and very spicy which it doesn't say on the menu! Excellent for the money though!

Always order pizza from here. But today o ordered deep pan and it was very thin, but nonetheless it was tasty and will be ordering again!

It's a chicken fast food bar. Meat was gristle over-cooked and disappointing. Perhaps the only time it would be worthwhile is at the end of a heavy night?

They delivered the food an hour and half early than when I ordered it for. Other than that the food was okay.

Icecream defrosted and refrozen. Second time and only used them twice. Other food okay but when complained about both icecreams they don't actually care. When pushed "We don't refund Justeat orders". When pushed further 'we can send another ice cream (from the same defrosted freezer).' A hundred other restaurants to try instead of ever going back to this one.

First order, and all good. Will try more off menu.

It was just across our Tune hotel in London and it was worth stopping by - the food was good and definitely for a good price, especially whhen you take into consideration, that it is almost in the city centre.

Normally this place is great. But I ordered a chicken fillet meal and it came with no BURGER. Just bun and salad and sauce. Needless to say, I just put chips in the bun and ate it. Still...if I wasn't so drunk I'd probably have complained. Apparently the Quarter Pounder Burger Meal also ordered was great though.

Delivery took 1.5 hours but food quality good. Delicious chicken wings (despite them being plain/fried rather than BBQ that was ordered). Will use again despite the order mistake and slow delivery.

Second time ordering from here. Second time it took over an hour to have a pizza delivered. When I called, the guy told me he would put some drinks in to make amends. Instead I got chicken wings. Ones that were on their way out at that. Won't be ordering again. Shame considering the pizza was good for the price.

I like to think that I know a fair bit about chicken wings, hot chicken wings. If I have a night out in London, it normally ends up with me trying to find a place that does good hot and crispy chicken wings. This place was right opposite the hotel I was staying at, so it was almost too convenient to have good chicken on the doorstep. The guy who served us was great, he even let us try a chicken wing before buying. And to be fair, it was a good wing. It wasn't what I would call hot-hot, but had a nice kick. The batter could have been more crispy and larger amount, but that's just being picky. Honestly, this seems almost silly, but this place wasn't a bad chicken shop at all. Whoever works the late shift on a saturday, top man.

Lovely delivery guy and super quick - food arrived within 30 mins of placing order. Quality so-so, although everything was delivered piping hot and you can't really write anything too scathing about fried chicken and a burger and chips ;) Would order from them again.

The food took over an hour to come and when it arrived the delivery man had forgotten a bag containing all of the meat, threw in a free portion of chicken wings but seven people sat around eating just chips for 20 minutes waiting for more food to arrive haha Liberty

Food was hot. And that's about where the good things about this place ends. Pizza was really icky taste and the cheesefilled crust was made with some not good tasting cream cheese. Chicken wings was ridiculously hot. It was hard to eat without coughing and I think they should be called "HOT wings" instead of just chicken wings. Garlic bread had no taste of garlic. The chicken stores in a "heat holding" oven for who knows how long. All the food is halal wich it doesn't say on the website. We ate about 2 slices of pizza, one chicken wing and one slice of garlic bread and the rest was thrown out. Probably our worst buy in london.

Eaten here a couple of times. Great if you want to grab some chicken and chips.They do all kinds, nuggets, legs, 6 piece, 8 piece, half grilled chicken (my personal fave) etc etc.Nothing fancy or special. Its basically McDonalds/nandos without the different hot sauces but better value in my opinion and more convenient. They also do pizzas and have some very good prices on the take out ones.Not a place to go our of your way to try (nothing specially sets it apart) but it is cheap and pretty convenient for me.

Very disappointing that of the 4 items ordered 2 were wrong. They delivered wrong drink and wrong ice cream without calling first to tell me that there was a problem with my choices as they had no stock. Substituting items in my order without checking first is unacceptable.

Great food best takeaway chicken I had all year.
