Chicken Cottage in Slough

I go here fairly often with my colleagues as we work close by. The food is usually very good and of reasonable pricing. They have offers for lunch like chicken & chips for a few quid. They always cook the food very well and are friendly, noting that we are regulars and chat to us when it’s quiet. There is good variety even if you don’t want fried food, they have a grilled chicken and salad option which I have had and enjoyed. Good place to eat fried chicken.

This spot is very bad they don’t ever listen to your order if you buy more than one thing from here they will always get your order wrong.all in all they have decent food but terrible customer service would not recommend

We visited this outlet yesterday and enquired about the price of a chicken burger and chips. We were told £4.50 or £5 with drink. Ordered mild chicken burger meal but when it came it was just the burger and chips. We accepted this without complaint and went on our way. However when my daughter began to eat the burger it turned out to be spicy not mild. We decided to return to get it changed. I explained the situation to the guy who had originally served me. He took the burger with a bit of a scrowl on his face and opened it up to view it. He then repeatedly pointed to the price board and claimed that there was only a spicy option available despite it clearly stating mild or spicy. I told him that there were two options there in black and white and he sort of dashed the burger on the counter behind him and muttered instructions to the kitchen staff. We were given a replacement but he didn't have the decency or grace to apologise. One of the other servers asked if we wanted a bag and apologised but unfortunately the damage had already been done. Furthermore the replacement was another spicy burger which did not get eaten so wasted my time and money. Will not be visiting this Chicken Cottage again in a hurry!

Disgusting food and when you complain to the restaurant they insult you for complaining Never buying anything from here again

I was staying at the hotel across the road making this easy for a take away. I visited a couple of times and the food was ok nothing special. Second visit the food was cold making it not edible and was going to go back, however on both visits I was short changed for £2 and when challenged was given the difference back and clearly new they had done it. I wonder if this why I was given a cold meal. I will not be going back.

Just like to say order a Uber eats from you on Friday 02/07/2021 which was very late and the food that you Served was very very poor we could not eat it. No one could eat this Due to very poor quality Please take a look at the pictures The food I had delivered from chicken cottage Slough 99 High Street Slough SL1 1DH Absolutely disgusting the food was it went straight into the bin And very very overpriced This information will be sent on to trading standards I would just like to give people a heads up please do not order from this place. This is one of those hidden gems u stumble upon and are compelled to write a review about. The shop itself is like any other chicken takeaway shop, but ask them for a grill chicken burger and u will not be disappointed. All other similar shops make dry versions of this..delicacy.. But the guys at Chicken Cottage make a succulent spicy chicken burger.. drenched in Peri Peri sauce and accompanying salad.. that hits the spot.. I can’t recommend this hidden gem enough.. it’s doesn’t cost the earth, but it tastes out of this world.. honestly, u gotta allow urself this pleasure at least once before u dismiss it..
