The staff were so polite and helpful. The food was even better 10/10. This particular shop is the best chicken cottage shop, even if you live in East London or West London. I definitely recommend. I Will be back soon InshaAllah

I've Had a bad Experience with Chicken Cottage and the Food was Spicy and the chips was Filled up with old Expired Oil and the chips had a really bad smell. The Chicken was very Spicy and Unsatisfying. The chicken Wings was over the Top on Spicy. They charge big prices but the food is not worth money. Cottage used to be 1 of the best places to Eat at but now it has changed unfortunately over the Yrs so i am very disappointed with Chicken Cottage.

Place has really gone downhill. Never have apple pie and always use the excuse that it is finished, because they are too lazy to fry it. Also keep telling me there is no sunkist from the tap and try to give me a can instead on multiple occasions. I am assuming they don’t want to spend money on refilling the syrup. The last time I came they even had the cheek to tell me they’ve run out of pepper. One hell of a chicken shop!

Chicken burger, wings and fried chicken was the best i have had in ages. Nice clean place with plenty of seating.

Always incomplete order. I trust staff as they always say everything is in the bag and when I get home either drink or meal is missing. Next time I will go through my order one by one .

Today I went and was surprised with my bill of £16.76 which includes 4 pieces of chicken and 1 chips and 2 slush ice blast. They are charging ridiculous price for ice blast at £3.99 each without even displaying the price, only noticed once the bill was given. Pathetic complete rip off.

I would not recommend this place. Though I did find the food okay at best, it gave my friend food poisoning. The food is a little bit overpriced for the quality. Compared to other chicken shops, the time to serve is a little slow. The burger buns are dry and artificial tasting. The only redeeming quality about this place is the aesthetics and wide variety of options. Compared to other chicken shops, the place is big. The place isn't cleaned as frequently as liked as a lot of the tables were dirty.

I went to buy bbq wings and when I got home, I saw that the wings were horrible, dried out and looked like they had been microwaved. Terrible service. I’ve got pictures and video for proof but I’m having technical issues posting them

Terrible food, overpriced food.

I have always been here last 10 years no problem. Today was the worst chicken I have had. The smell of the chicken as terrible, chips 100% refried and fillet burger was the worst I had ever. It’s sad I have never experienced this before but today’s experience really put me off.

Literally just arrived in the shop when I saw a mice or rat run across the front of the till area. I was completely gob-smacked, couldn’t quite believe what I just saw. I think it was clearly a sign for me not to go back here again, even if I’m on my last legs 🤢🤮

Werid behaviour and a little bit perv ordered chips and brushed to the side and told 3 mins even though there was food ready because the man behind the counter wanted to serve a woman dressed with short clothes. Is that halal?

I ordered from here just now. The chicken is so spic! Kids could not eat their food and they were so looking forward to it. Even I find it too spicy. We ate here a few months ago, the same food that I just ordered now and that wasn't spicy! For the amount I spent here, it did not worth it! I will definitely NOT coming back here again.

The food here tastes quite nice, and service is what you expect from a chicken shop. The chicken bites were the most crunchy I have ever had but the mild sauce still packs a bit of heat for those that don't like spice.

Terrible food. Ate 10% before through 90% into the bin. Worst chicken cottage I have been too. Don't be fooled by the big seating area. Dry chicken and even worse the chicken burger was more like a strip chicken put in a bun. Chips were soggy and Full of smelly oil. DISGUSTING FOOD!!!! WOULD NEVER VISIT AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

Last night I buy 2 grilled burgers it was worst experience I ever ate burgers chicken was soo hard no taste at all . My point is when customer pay good value want best quality 0/10 I rated never ever go to this place hard chicken no taste . It needs massive improvement on quality standards

3 members of my family got serious food poisoning from Chicken Cottage Tooting, we all ate their chicken, wings and strips so can not pin point which gave us the food poisoning. We ordered around midnight so wondering if its the storage of the food by the end of the day or somewhere along the cooking process that has caused this.

I did not visit this chain a very very long time due to very bad experience from other branches like London bridge and camberwell for example. Here is like in chain restaurants because You do not know what to expect. Happily against all odds this branch erase all bad memories from others. Food was absolutely amazing, only thing which was not like it should be was burger which was warm instead piping hot and wings were very greasy. Rest 5*

This tooting Branch is the worst. Usually I love chicken cottage but for some reason this flagship one in tooting is over priced and always awful. I live 2 mins away and keep giving it another chance every 6 months or so and it’s always rubbish. Edible at best if your lucky and go on a good day. Shame on the franchisee and he’s team. Flagship store and they serve up food like that.

Ive given 5 stars as i don't like to cause ratings to fall... But management pls note I had a peri peri burger... It was hard to bite through, not succulent at all... Maybe old chicken... When customers pay 7£ for a meal.. They deserve good food... Not just 'this will do' even if chicken probably been old or not properly cooked. Then the toilets were kept really unclean... Obviously you pay your staff, get them to do their jobs, have a check every 15 or 30 mins.. Have a tick off sheet to confirm it's been checked... Restaurant area was good, could have been better. Overall lovely place Pls take this as positive criticism... Hope this helps. I will eat here again iA.

Food was terrible, cold chicken burger, mouldy bun. Chips were refried and burnt, no sauce provided the wings were mediocre and only luke warm, all which I had to throw away, this cottage is extremely over priced with no offers available in comparison to local chicken shops or cottages, service was atrocious, Staff were rude, could not listen, very patronising and they would use terrible language to there customers, the supervisor calls me a maderchod to his colleague thinking I wouldn’t hear him then lies about it when I confronted him to repeat what he said, the colleague lied and made accusations against me which were not true, I advise the owner to check the camera around 12.30am so he can see how his staff behave and why his customer base has gone down, I asked for the manager or a number to someone i can speak to they lied first said no one there and then said the guy who swore and provoked The situation was a supervisor after all, they showed no consideration, no respect, no effort, no customer service, gave a lot of attitude, gave terrible food which I could not eat and had to throw away, please see pics. I had been coming to this chicken cottage for many years and did feel like it today but considering my last few experiences over the last few years i would never recommend or go to this one again, it is not my first choice anymore due to service and quality of food, anyone that knows this cottage will remember how busy they used to be compared to now, and it is because of these reasons, I would never go again and I would definitely not recommend. The Streatham high road and Thornton heath cottage’s 10x better, better offers/deals and service, if you are looking for reasonable service and decent food please don’t go here and waste your money. Very disappointing.

I must say that for years I have been an avid lover of chicken cottage and will have an occasional meal there as a treat however, recently I believe they have changed how they spice their chicken wings. The chicken wings are so spicy that I had to hang my tongue out of my mouth and pant like a dog. In addition to this, the adverse affects this spice had on my stomach the following day was astronomical. Please, chicken cottage either return the chicken wings to the spice level they were before or offer alternative, mild wings. Both myself and my friend are paying the price for the spice

I ordered chicken burger meals and strips. Chicken tasted like it was from last night and the burger buns had a really bad defrosted odour emitting from them. The workers not giving any care to the food preparation just throwing the food around. Ended up giving me wings instead of strips. This place used to be great but unfortunately the standards have fallen immensely.

We ordered our food and being in uniform they gave me the NHS 20% discount. When we got back to eat it we had found that we didn't get all of what we requested. But the food was very delicious.

Been going here for almost 20 years. Definitely downhill over the years. Did not enjoy the fillet burger not the wings. Bread was cold and dry on burger. Poor standards for Chicken cottage.

My go-to takeaway to soak up a few after-work drinks. The quality isn't amazing but it is consistent. It's also quite cheap, especially the combo meal deals. I wouldn't recommend the peri fries though, far too salty/garlicy. I would also suggest ordering on Deliveroo, as I have had some less than friendly service in the shop itself.

I normally order a chicken wrap from the streatham hill branch. It is by far the most legendary hangover food avaliable. Alas today I was greeted to my dismay with what can only be described as an abomination. The chicken wrap was about half the size of the streatham hill offering. I like the girth and boy did this chicken wrap feel inadequate as i wrapped my mouth around it. The piri piri chicken was also underwhelming. The breast piece was as dry as coldplay and the leg piece was only a little bit better. Bbq chicken bites were actually alright, but if that is the best that they can provide, well, they should just change the name to Inadequate Cottage.

Giving this a one star as there’s no option for zero. It’s warmer to eat outside in 2 degrees than it is to sit in. I went with my retired parents and two kids, my youngest is two years old. Ordered a family meal and a separate meal for my teenage son. Waited for around 25 mins and by then we were shaking with cold. The ac’s were on. I approached the staff and asked them to give me a takeaway instead and pointed to them that it was freezing. The customers in the queue agreed and said it was a joke. When I got to my car on our way back to East London, we started having nibbles on the wings and realised they weren’t even fresh. Hard as rock. They’d given us old chicken and made us wait for 25 mins. To top things, I asked for sauces. All they gave were some Arabic written sachets of mayo and ketchup. Is that even legal?….Where’s the chilli sauce? The standards of this place has dropped. Appalling and very disappointing. The prices are very high for what standard and portion of food they have. East London is better and cheaper. Next time, there will be no next time.

You really cannot beat chicken cottage in Tooting. You know what you are getting. A good balance between friend and grilled chicken. Always seating available, staff are friendly enough and enough staff on hand to manage the till. Food is always good to at least a good enough standard. Can vouch for the fried chicken, grilled chicken and burgers.

£12 for 13 wings???? No way..! On top of that,poor customer service and burnt cooking oil 🛢 No chance... Stay away guys

Bizzarre decor like most other Chicken Cottage, good chips but soggy wings

I ordered from chickens cottage and they got my order very wrong. First I requested I get a replacment for the food I was supposed to get but they asked me to order something for cheap again from ubereats so they can send it to me. But delievery would cost £5 extra. I then asked for a refund and they refused to give me one. I am never ordering from here again!

Pretty good chicken shop - spicy stuff is indeed spicy and the chips are good. Not bad value-wise If you're in the mood for a chicken shop dinner, you could do a lot worse than here. Staff friendly and the place was very clean too

I believe I got very bad food poisoning from this restaurant and was unwell for 2 weeks. Wouldn’t step foot in there again. Reported it to the council who wanted to know how I contracted campobilacter.

Dreadful service. Specifically ordered grilled chicken sandwich with extra fillet and cheese, they gave me single fillet and fries. Called them and asked for the correct order and they rudely and unapologetically, didn’t care, laughed and were rude overall. They told me to call to the location to get refund, only to not refund me. Decided to give them another shot, thinking that was a once off. Again, single fillet instead of double but no chips either. And the fillet was red and uncooked. How this CC location is still in operation I’ll never know. Never again, hands down worst service overall I’ve ever experienced. And consistently too.

Very nice customer service. Myself and my son enjoyed a lovely meal there today. The young man who served us was very patient and good, I just can’t remember his name I’m afraid. Left as a satisfied customer.

And the vegie burger hardly had any salad and when I told them one of the guys said they don't put any salad in a vegie burger!!!! A burger without salad!!!! And the burger wasn't even nice. They need to improve the service and the food quality!!!!

Situated in tooting , a very nice and clean takeaway and dine in chicken shop. The staff are friendly and polite, and are very efficient in providing good customer service. Their menu is well catered for and everything is available for the customers needs. A highly recommended outlet , you won't be disappointed.

The service and quality of food at chicken cottage Tooting is shocking. The food is practically in edible. They sell you a grilled chicken burger that is multiple pieces of chicken put in a cheap bun, not a whole piece like it should be. The grilled wings were ballooned up likely injected with water to make them look bigger but were undercooked and simply disgusting. The only edible food here is the chips but even those tasted bland. The spicy wings my wife ordered were black on the bone and again was disgusting. I don’t know how a place like this can exist in 2022. They should be shut down. Came in hungry leaving hungry what a waste of £35 They won’t let me post pictures as well to prove as evidence. It a joke Avoid at all costs, I’m sure a local chicken shop will be better quality than this place at a fraction of the place

Bought a chicken burger and some wings. Wings were ok but the chicken burger was stale, cold and rubbery. This place’s standards have gone downhill and there’s much better out there now. Also, prices are not reflective of the quality of the food. Overpriced garbage.

Went for a quick and cheap chicken snack prior to the pub. Large establishment with quick service though the menu is a little small to read. There is a sink and washing facilities to use pre and post consumption.
