It arrived so quickly so they food was at a very nice temperature which is rare to find these days in most other places

App showed courier was at restaurant from quite early on was order was place. I called the restaurant twice and they said food is ready but no courier in sight. All chips were soggy and loaded fries covered in so much sauce that it became inedible.

food was very bad as i have requested well coocked and it was not even cooked properly

It’s very annoying when you order a specific item and then you get something which isn’t what you expected. Also the chicken was a bit on the dry side. Disappointing when price is expensive.

Chilli sauce was put on my loaded fries when I never asked to chilli sauce I was unable to eat this because of it

The delivery guy was waiting in the cold for me as doors were closed, I apologised to him but he still gave me attitude. I wanted to give him a good tip for waiting but due to his behaviour I didn’t. A shame really…

Delivery time great ! IF ONLY it was MY order. Got sent a empty box so yum next air chicken for me and some pieces of crunchy chicken coating they want to call “chicken bites”. Honestly just go to the real shop to get it atleast in person they attempt to give you the correct order. Cheeky

Bad menu options. Cold chicken. Tiny chips portions. Zero boss man energy for a chicken shop. Might be the biggest one in Europe, but it’s probably the worst too.

The order was never delivered but on the app says that it was delivered. Still have not got my money back, very disappointed will not be using just eat again!! I gave one start because I couldn’t submit my review without one, otherwise just eat do not even deserve one star

I go with my family my son wants grilled Chicken Burger we order 2 Burger 🍔 and 3 other meals Burger meals not good not cook fresh steaks in Burger cold and old cook chicken was very hard to eat . When ask staff the guy awnser very unprofessional. We waisted money and time

Normally good , this time missing parts of the order , spoke to the restaurant, they apologised about the missing stuff I paid for , they said next time they would give me my missing part of meal , how they would do this I don’t understand!!

This is the best chicken cottage in London, the food is great (especially the grilled wings), the staff are always friendly, there's a man named Alwi who is always smiling. And in terms of size and seating it is the best I have ever seen for a chicken shop.

I’ve been coming here for years, but this will be my last time. The food is always cold and stale, I always have to return it and ask for fresh food. The staff are kind and helpful but the quality of the food is really bad. The food is always cold, chicken tastes stale and old. Buns of the burgers are cold. The chicken definitely is not fresh. I will not be returning.

Salty, I mean very salty wings and especially burgers. Service and sitting was good though. You need your breading to be changed regularly or at-least refine it as much a possible.

Used to be good years ago, now it's crap, AND EXPENSIVE! Service is also crap, staff dont seem to care about anything. They are only doing well because of the location. Feel free to go to their competitor roosters which is walking distance away.

All food freezing and not good tasted like lunch times food never order again

I was expecting to have burger, chips, strips and drink but got 2 burgers instead. That’s not what I ordered. 😭😧

Tired of going in there and they have no drinks on the pumps, they try to palm you off with a can which is only 330ml. The advertisement clearly shows a drink in a big cup. If it was a one off, fair enough, but it's everytime. It's false advertising and it's illegal.

I can confidently say it was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve had in a long time. The prices have skyrocketed, but the quality of food has plummeted. It feels like they’re just living off their franchise name at this point, relying on the nostalgia of previous customers instead of delivering good food. Upon entering, I was immediately put off by the filthy tables. They were still not wiped down, making the whole place feel dirty and uninviting. It’s absolutely unacceptable for a food establishment to neglect cleanliness to such an extent. You shouldn’t have to worry about whether you’re sitting at a clean table while waiting for your meal. Customer service was another major letdown. The staff was not only unhelpful but downright stingy with sauces. They acted as if they were paying for every packet of mayo or ketchup, which is ridiculous for a fast-food restaurant. It left me feeling like I had to plead for basic condiments, which should come standard with any meal. It was like pulling teeth just to get a couple of extra packets! While they are quick at serving you your meal on a tray, the chicken itself was subpar at best. The quality has definitely gone downhill, and it’s disheartening to see that the drinks and desserts appeared fresher than the chicken! It’s mind-boggling how the drinks can be more appealing than the main attraction. The chicken was overcooked, dry, and lacking in flavour. It felt more like a rushed effort to get food out the door than a focus on quality. To add insult to injury, the portion sizes have shrunk significantly. I remember when a meal at Chicken Cottage used to be filling, but now it feels like you’re barely getting enough food to satisfy your hunger. It’s as if they’ve decided to skimp on everything that made them popular in the first place. I couldn’t believe I was paying top dollar for such lacklustre portions. The overall atmosphere was chaotic and unkempt, making it hard to enjoy any part of the meal. With greasy floors and disorganised tables, it’s clear that cleanliness and customer experience are not priorities for this location. The employees seemed overwhelmed and disengaged, adding to the overall negative vibe of the place. Honestly, Chicken Cottage is a disappointment in every way. The inflated prices, combined with the unclean tables, poor service, and awful food quality, make it a place I can no longer recommend. It's truly disheartening to see how they've downgraded their food and service while trying to cash in on their branding. Save your money and go elsewhere; you’ll definitely find better options out there!

I ordered and paid for the double burger deal and only got one even though on the order form it clearly states i should have received two.

Disgusting! BBQ burger is extremely unusually spicey! I've ordered before from here many times & this is the worst ever! Not ordering from here ever again! Yuck! Chicken bites plain! Just one extreme to another. What happened to the quality! Chips cold cardboard! Sticky Toffee pudding leak everywhere into the apple crumble and there is no crumble its all soggy & watery yuck! Need to rehire staff or better training.

The taste was fine but they're always so greedy with the chips. Normally when I order I have to remind them to be generous with the chips but this time I forgot and like usual, the amount of chips was shocking. I ordered for three people and all three chips orders were 1/4 full, not even half of the bag was full. It's ridiculous that you pay the money and they fail to offer the decent amount you of chips you deserve.

Its very bad experience in takeaway we buy supercharger an paid £9 but trust me it’s totally west of money everything is cold we can’t eat that food

I've Had a bad Experience with Chicken Cottage and the Food was Spicy and the chips was Filled up with old Expired Oil and the chips had a really bad smell. The Chicken was very Spicy and Unsatisfying. The chicken Wings was over the Top on Spicy. They charge big prices but the food is not worth money. Cottage used to be 1 of the best places to Eat at but now it has changed unfortunately over the Yrs so i am very disappointed with Chicken Cottage.

Not happy at all. Spend £20. The delivery driver never deliver my food. He was no where near my house when the app said that the food had been delivered. I would like a full refund!!

Place has really gone downhill. Never have apple pie and always use the excuse that it is finished, because they are too lazy to fry it. Also keep telling me there is no sunkist from the tap and try to give me a can instead on multiple occasions. I am assuming they don’t want to spend money on refilling the syrup. The last time I came they even had the cheek to tell me they’ve run out of pepper. One hell of a chicken shop!

Always incomplete order. I trust staff as they always say everything is in the bag and when I get home either drink or meal is missing. Next time I will go through my order one by one .

Today I went and was surprised with my bill of £16.76 which includes 4 pieces of chicken and 1 chips and 2 slush ice blast. They are charging ridiculous price for ice blast at £3.99 each without even displaying the price, only noticed once the bill was given. Pathetic complete rip off.

I would not recommend this place. Though I did find the food okay at best, it gave my friend food poisoning. The food is a little bit overpriced for the quality. Compared to other chicken shops, the time to serve is a little slow. The burger buns are dry and artificial tasting. The only redeeming quality about this place is the aesthetics and wide variety of options. Compared to other chicken shops, the place is big. The place isn't cleaned as frequently as liked as a lot of the tables were dirty.

I went to buy bbq wings and when I got home, I saw that the wings were horrible, dried out and looked like they had been microwaved. Terrible service. I’ve got pictures and video for proof but I’m having technical issues posting them

I was disappointed to receive my rice in the container only being half filled with rice whereas normally it is filled to the top and therefore good value for £6.00. Also, I did not receive my extra lemon and herb dip that I had ordered. Instead I was given sachets of mayonnaise, brown sauce and tomato ketchup… very disappointing chicken cottage!

I have always been here last 10 years no problem. Today was the worst chicken I have had. The smell of the chicken as terrible, chips 100% refried and fillet burger was the worst I had ever. It’s sad I have never experienced this before but today’s experience really put me off.

Werid behaviour and a little bit perv ordered chips and brushed to the side and told 3 mins even though there was food ready because the man behind the counter wanted to serve a woman dressed with short clothes. Is that halal?

I ordered from here just now. The chicken is so spic! Kids could not eat their food and they were so looking forward to it. Even I find it too spicy. We ate here a few months ago, the same food that I just ordered now and that wasn't spicy! For the amount I spent here, it did not worth it! I will definitely NOT coming back here again.

The food here tastes quite nice, and service is what you expect from a chicken shop. The chicken bites were the most crunchy I have ever had but the mild sauce still packs a bit of heat for those that don't like spice.

Terrible food. Ate 10% before through 90% into the bin. Worst chicken cottage I have been too. Don't be fooled by the big seating area. Dry chicken and even worse the chicken burger was more like a strip chicken put in a bun. Chips were soggy and Full of smelly oil. DISGUSTING FOOD!!!!
