Good value, good quality, nice ambiance. Happy hour 5-7pm making house red and wine £12 a bottle and prosecco £18 a bottle. Lovely yummy food. Please visit keep these guys in business.

We found this place for dinner before catching a train from Blackfriars. Service was very efficient, food was delicious, generous portions and very good value. Waitress offered to charge phone behind the bar while we were there. Highly recommend

This place is still the best place to eat in the city, it’s value is excellent. Like everywhere the prices have increased slightly but James and his team are always friendly and manage to find a space for everyone. Simply brilliant place to eat. The salt and pepper chicken is great and the squid starter is lovely.

Was really looking forward to having a meal here after reading reviews! Small bistro style restaurant with a lovely ambiance! Started well with crispy duck and pancakes which is the reason I have given 2 stars However the Crispy Noodles and Nasi Goreng whilst they looked great they were tasteless, absolutely no flavour, I had to ask for some chilli oil for the noodles which to be honest didn’t help! Nasi goreng is a well Known Indonesian spiced rice normally with a fried egg minimum however the nasi goreng here was just basic fried rice, dry and flavourless with a prawn cracker on the side! Service was terrible, no follow up drinks offered, dirty plates with lots of leftover food not cleared until we asked for the bill! £77 including 1 beer and a bottle of wine and a 10% service charge (undeserved) definitely not worth the money! Sorry, there’s so many restaurants to choose from in London but would avoid this one!

Gros coup de coeur de mon séjour à Londres ! Les meilleures nouilles que j'aie jamais mangé. Tout était délicieux, des gyozas (les meilleurs de ma vie également) au canard et ses nouilles croustillantes en passant par le poulet et sa sauce épicée... Un vrai régal. Une adresse validée, où je me ferai une joie de revenir lors d'un prochain voyage.

Last minute take away order. 1. Efficient - fast quick draw phone response-ready and well presented packed in a bag with napkins and chopsticks. 2. Although the wine bar was busy the reception was fast and really friendly. 3. The piece de resistance was the food itself - delicious, fresh, succulent and very very tasy.

Small restaurant tucked away in an alley just behind the south side of Fleet Street. Serves the usual Chinese food staples. Starter, main and drink + tip will be about £25. So a decent quality meal in a nice quiet restaurant at a good price. Like the Chinese proverb, a dragon’s belly can only be filled up by duck.

Another great night in a great restaurant, food, drink and service all top quality! Love coming here, my friends and I have a very typical night. Starting off with happy hour drinks before 7pm and then food, we have tried a number of different dishes and they are all brilliant. A must visit!

I have been visiting Chi for many years. For me it is one of the very best Asian restaurants in London. Excellent tasty food, good portion sizes and really friendly service. If you are in the city looking for lunch or dinner, don’t hesitate to visit. I’ll be back again soon.

The service is outstanding at Chi. A little difficult to find but worth the effort. In an alley to the right of the Albion pub. Food is varied and plenty of selection. Slow cooked lamb, red Thai curry snd best of all Salt and Pepper Chicken are my faves. A lot of people I go with have the noodles. Not my thing though. I have been known to eat here most days of the week. Can’t recommend enough.

Food: The taste is good, not great. Where it lacks in flavour it makes up in portion size with generous portions to satisfy even the biggest eaters. Drink: Chi has very competitively priced happy hour which makes it a great location for after work drinks. Cheap and cheerful. Atmosphere: Chi is tucked away so it doesn't have much foot traffic outside the restaurant. The downside is that it can feel gloomy however once inside it is warm, clean and tidy. Chi is definitely a great place for a winter drink and meal. COVID-19: I was very pleased when Chi re-opened after COVID-19 although with fewer office workers in the city it felt empty compared to a normal evening. This meant the dining experience felt very safe and secure.

I’m surprised this place has such good reviews. I went for dinner during a week here on business and I sat in the bar, and it was the usual for a pub experience: Get up, ask for a menu, order at the bar, sit back down, and ultimately pay at the bar. The 12.5% service charge seemed unnecessary for that experience, but whatever. The portions are big, as other have said. I had the grilled pork dumplings to start, and they were pretty standard. I also had the grilled chicken with ramen noodle soup, and it was actually very bland. Certainly nothing remarkable or worthy of 4 or 5 stars. I found myself wishing that I had returned instead to the Indian or Thai restaurants that I had visited earlier in the week.

Found this little restaurant after some research for a good place to eat around Blackfriars area. It's hidden away into an alleyway and very easy to miss if you don't know about it. We had a couple of starters and they came out quickly and they were pretty good and very good size. We decided on three different main courses and they also came out very quickly. My wife had the Ramen, I had the beef with noodles and our son had the crispy noodles with chicken (substituted the duck) and all of it was very nice and the portions were once again very generous. We will definitely go back next time we are in London - good food - good service - good prices (for London) , what else can you ask for.

Fantastic food, very efficient even when super busy. Recommend the Laksa and also the Chilli Squid starter. I went both nights in London.

Went here for lunch, and although there was a longer wait, we were happy to do so as we hadn't booked - make sure you booked before you come to be seated quickly! Was served quickly, and the food tasted amazing! Generous portions, great tasting food that fills you up, and an affordable price for Central London. They also pack food to go if you can't finish, which is really nice of them! Definitely recommend!

Came here for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was still quite busy around 2pm, but we were seated in the quieter downstairs area. Between the two of us, we ordered two starters (pork dumplings and chicken satay), as well as the duck&pancakes and a fried rice dish. The food came really quickly, and we definitely had more than enough for the both of us. Everything was of a really high quality - but would have to say the dumplings were the best part, so tasty! Would definitely come here again.

Quick, friendly service with really good food at a reasonable price. We had a few different starters, including the spring rolls and dumplings, both beautifully cooked and presented. The main courses were huge and really tasty. Would strongly recommend.

When we had an office near Blackfriars, I used to come in here quite often when visiting London. I always enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I think the last time I was in was around two years ago, so when my business lunch was cancelled today, I thought I would go back. I wish I hadn't. I ordered what was supposed to be an old favourite: Crispy Seafood Noodles. The noodles would have been crispy if they had not been drowned in watery sauce filling the bowl. It was also tasteless - that's the only way I can describe it. Very disappointing. At no point during my visit was I asked if I was enjoying my meal. I left about half of it, and even then no enquiry was made. And to add insult to injury, when the bill came, there was a mandatory 12.5% service charge, adding another £1.90 to my bill. Hugely disappointing.

I have been coming here to a client for a couple of months. I stay in the Premier Inn nearby and have been looking for a nice place for a single diner to eat and have finally found it.The restaurant is tucked down an alley and I saw it on my way to the hotel from the station nearby. I returned after checking in and had a n excellent Nasi Goreng, tasty but not too heavily spiced. I had a draft beer to wash it down and all for less than £15. Excellent.The only downside is the automatic adding of a 10% service charge to the bill. I prefer to leave my own tip based on service but if it is added automatically, I either just pay that or ask for it to be removed if the service is poor. I would have given more but just paid the 10%. Having said that, I am working with the same client next month and I know where I will eat during the trip.

I have been going to Chi for many years, my name is Emma and I know Simon the owner, his wife and the Manager James. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate me and my friends the more we came back. They recognise and appreciate loyal customers which is a rarity in most establishments in London. The thing I love about this place is you can order food that is delicious and comes out quickly, wine is great and you can get a table. Also it is not too loud and so you can talk to your friends and have a catch up over reasonably priced good food. I thoroughly recommend this place and will continue to go back! The salt chilli squid is amazing, the pork dumplings, the chicken satay and the thai red curry! :)

Tucked away but in a great location near St Paul’s. We went for a private party and the food and service were great, there was no compromise on either quantity or quality. Would return quite happily.

Tucked down what feels like an alleyway in an area of London full of nooks and crannies we chanced upon Chi Noodles. We must have walked past this place a few times now having frequented the pub near here a fair few times.

While standards slip elsewhere this place keeps getting better, side dishes were slow to come out by they were snowed under... Salt n pepper chicken is great as is the squid. Lager cold with bubbles.

Ate lunch here with family and friends and had a great time. Helpful and knowledgeable staff who went out of their way to make the meal fun for our boys. Food was delicious and large portions! Highly recommend this place.

I am a real fan if good grilled chicken saté. I don’t come across too many places in the world where it is prepared as it should. Chi is the exception, in one word excellent. Take away, only 5 pounds dor 4 skewers is an absolute steal!

The food was as ever brilliant. Flickering lights downstairs are a constant annoyance and staff don't seem to care about your impending migraine. Also waste food in the corridor to the toilet isn't too nice on the eye.

He visitado este lugar porque era muy recomendado por Amigos míos que viven allí. Pedimos una variedad de entradas que eran realmente bonita. Especialmente el ist calamar increíble delicioso.

El lugar estaba a tope y habíamos oído cosas buenas, pero lo que una gran decepción. Slap shot preparación de comida sin sabor y pobre de cocina. Pollo había overbooking, salsas eran sin duda de una botella. Pérdida de dinero y una comida. Bien por debajo de la media.

Gran auténtica comida asiática que es razonable y rápida. Un poco difícil de encontrar en un callejón pequeño en la calle farringdon, pero vale la pena. Además puede superar £3 pintas de asahi en la hora feliz! La comida es siempre caliente y bien sazonada. recomendar el laksa!

Pity you can't give six stars for truly exceptional service and food. Go quite often as the food is so good, and the service exemplary. Took a client here recently, and he said it was the only place he had been in London that made him feel at home. If you only go once, get the Salt and Pepper Chicken - simply to die for.

Really charming bustling restaurant down a cute side street.Shame I was only having take out - took mine back to the premier inn nearby.Had the seafood noodles. Amazing value at £7.50-absolutely packed with large king prawns, squid and pak choi. With the addition of their chilli sauce it had just the right amount of spice.Very quick and friendly service - ready in 5 mins and piping hot. Will definitely return and hopefully eat in with friends next time.

The restaurant is located in a cute alley and is very lively and vibrant inside. Our waitress was very kind and made us feel very welcomed and the service was great. The food was amazing and the portions are great for the price. Overall, this is a great restaurant and I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic. Came here for the first time the other day and was very impressed. An excellent menu and decent - if not huge - wine list.Our choices included Korean Chilli Beef Skewers and Korean Style Chicken Wings - both of these and our other options were superb.Outstanding value as well.Great staff - very accommodating, welcoming and polite.

The food is always excellent, the service is always quick and it is really good value, especially during happy hour if you are having after work drinks. This place is an all rounder, great for a quick lunch, late more relaxed lunch or socialising after work. High recommended.

Visited with friends for annual get together. The staff were attentive and the food very good. Gets busy in the evening due to happy hour (5-7pm) with drinks reasonably priced. Only had a main course as the meals are plentiful without starters although we were served some tasty prawn crackers on arrival. We were given a complimentary shot of spirits at the end of the meal. Nice touch. Advisory to book prior to attending although there are plenty of tables downstairs. Couple of pints and a meal for less than £20. Good value for central London city area. Will definitely return.

I spend a lot of time in London, mostly based around Blackfriars as its near work. I often prefer to stay in the room and bring some take out food in. I am sick of the usual stuff, so tracked down Chi Noodles, 5 minutes from the Premier Inn I normally stay in. The take away food is excellent, salt and pepper squid, pork n rice, lots of real Asian sauces at excellent prices. Can I say the food was an excellent quality and I will use this place again and again. They have a bar and eat in area with a good 5-7 happy hour deal.

A particular favorite was the Salt & Chili squid.Was a wonderful, quiet respite from the hustle and noise of the city. Easy to get to, and a huge improvement on the array of mediocre foods you might stumble upon in London (in fairness, London also has a lot of amazing food, too).Can't wait to go back and try some new dishes. Chi noodles and the now closed place in Poultry have been my favourite lunch places for a long time. The consistently great tasting food cooked freshly to your preferences is just fantastic !The staff is very flexible and will cook food to your order.

4 drinks for £13 (3 pints and a G&T). Not a bad price! Serve Sake and the food is very reasonably priced with still being quite good quality. Easily eat here for £10 a head and buy an OK bottle of wine for £20. Good Thursday/Friday night after work type of place

Spent ages looking for a nice restaurant for our last night in london. While heading back to the hotel after not finding anything I spotted this restaurant down a side street. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. Had no problem changing dishes to suit children. Good size portions.

We have been going to Chi and the now closed place in Bank for a long time. The food is excellent with wonderful flavours. They are very flexible with any special orders and they even ace those. Favourites : nasi goreng, crispy noodles, singapore noodles and ma po tofu.

Love the food love the wine I have been going there for years Simon and James always impress. Food is excellent value, Simon the manager chooses the wine and always buys a good house red or white for £15.00 (unheard of in London apart from the large chains such as Weatherspoons) happy hour reduced to £10 mains under £10 and one does not need any other food.

Fortunately for me and my work colleagues this great venue is a few seconds from our office. We regularly go there for happy hour and end up eating the food. The service of the staff is fantastic and we love going there. The food is served very quickly and the atmosphere is great.

This is a well located restaurant with friendly staff. It services nice food (although nothing special) in good portion sizes. Ideal for a quick meal and it also does takeover.

We booked in for a quick pre-theatre meal. The service was very friendly and fast, the food excellent and plentiful. Really good value too. To top it off I left a bag behind, our the lovely waitress found it and ran to our theatre to return it to us in person. You star, thank you.

I used to eat lunch here regularly and whenever I have a chance I visit again as all the dishes I've tried have been delicious - the owner used to tease me at one point because I would peruse the menu before ordering the same favourite, their spicy and flavoursome Seafood Laksa - he'd say he'd had written down the order the minute I came in!When I could tear myself away from the laksa, I tried the crispy duck with pancakes and hoi sin sauce, the chicken satay, the Korean noodle soup, the Thai beef salad, the salt and chilli squid... all amazingly executed.I've introduced many colleagues and friends to this place and they all love it.Last night we had dinner for three: two dishes each plus a bottle of French wine, for GBP65. And you can have a filling lunch for GBP8!Smiling, efficient service too.The upstairs gets a bit crowded during happy hour, but the downstairs dining room isn't too noisy even when full.Basic decor, no music, but excellent value.

Called here early evening. The wine bar was very busy but there is ample seating downstairs. We ordered King Prawns & crispy noodles which came very quickly, was very tasty & plentiful.The service throughout was good.There was lots of choice on the menu & all reasonably priced - I would definitely recommend...

My brother and I ended our stay in London with dinner here as it was near our hotel (Crowne Plaza). It was very good, affordable and a great option in the City on a Friday night. No complaints. Affordable bottles of wine too!

This is the best little known place in London for my money, often walk out my way to get a Nasi Goreng at lunch time and its still piping hot when i get back to my desk 15 min walk away.

First off... I wish I'd heard of this place sooner!! I came across it while looking for a new place to take my girlfriend & our friends this past weekend & this place was very good... The food was delicious & most of the items on the menu were under £10!! So I would definitely recommend trying this place!!

A group of 6 of us ate here recently and immediately ordered a few bowls of the salt & chilli squid (on a recommendation) and a couple of bottles of wine. It was honestly the best squid I have eaten - beautifully flavoured and so fresh! We all loved it so much we ended up staying for dinner and ordering lots of little plates to share. I have no complaints and only praise for this restaurant. Excellent food and wine, great service, very reasonable prices and a chilled laid-back atmosphere. Will absolutely go again!

Bustling Asian restaurant close to St.Paul´s Cathedral. We had lunch there and it was very busy. Booking is probably recommended.Big portions and great food. Had fried chicken with udon noodles and loved it.

They serve from noodle soup to crispy noodles. I had Duck crispy noodles and it was very tasty indeed, good size portion and hot. Only one criticism plate was cold and I like hot plates. Prices of meals reasonable approx. £8 each. I would eat there again.

Came here with a group of colleagues after work. Ordered a round of 6 drinks and got change from £20.00!! In city terms this is a bargain! Didn't order food but did have a peek at other tables and have to admit food looked good and smelled wonderful! Will be trying it out next time.
