Friendly staff and a good selection of dishes, this Chinese should cover all bases. The last couple of times we have used them we have had the food delivered, and this has worked well, although we did pre-order on their website during the day so they presumably get on with it as soon as they start. I can’t comment on the efficiency of this if you try and order during the evening. That said, one time it turned up an hour before our requested time, and the other time about half an hour. Whilst I would rather it was early than late, if we had timed it to coincide with our arrival back from the pub for example, we would have missed it. Something slightly nearer to the requested time, say within about 10 minutes, would be better. Delivery staff on both occasions were pleasant and friendly. We gave the menu quite a workout, starting with the crispy aromatic duck. To be honest, this seemed a little on the dry side, I’ve certainly had better. The accompanying vegetables, wraps and plum sauce were all fine though. Main courses included Mushroom Foo Young, Special Chow Mein, Sweet & Sour Chicken Cantonese style and Crispy Chilli Beef. All were pretty good, albeit nothing exceptional. Overall I’d say you can get better Chinese food elsewhere, but it’s all decent enough and the (over) efficient delivery and friendly service make up for that and I’d happily return.

I've had a few deliveries / collects from here. Sometimes it's great, other times it seems like the food has been recooked 3 times. Can be really oily. It says 60 minutes for delivery - once it took 2 hours, and another time only took 10 minutes and I wasn't ready - just be aware of that.

Absolutely excellent food. Arrived quick and was piping hot and so tasty. I haven't had such good chinese food in a long time.

Good food, but a two and a half hour wait for delivery. Ordered at 5.30, delivered at 8 o/c - not acceptable :(

It’s the first time we’ve used this takeaway and thoroughly enjoyed the set menu with friends. Delivery was a little late but would definitely use again.

Had a takeaway meal recently - very disappointing - tasteless - won’t be having their food again! Not expensive but not worth more than I paid.

Never had to wait more than 20 mins for our order (we do usually avoid weekends though) and the quality is consistently good. Just remember it's cash only but there's an ATM across the street ;)

We often use another local takeaway when having Chinese, not something we do often though. On this occasion we used Cheungs and really enjoyed the food. Was a little inconvenient that they didn't take card payments and its not the cheapest but was nice.

Chicken and cashew was missing the nuts. Lacked any real punch of flavour. Food was overall a disappointment.

Buy food here at least once a month, not been disappointed yet. Good choice, always well cooked, very hot and delivery is fast.

We visit here regularly and we never leave disappointed. The food is constantly great. The food is fast and super tasty. Recommend the sesame prawn toast, possibly the best I've ever had! The staff are always helpful & friendly too.

Clean takeaway with very nice food. Reasonable prices and quick delivery. Friendly staff. Can pay cash card or cheque. My kids love coming with me. Family run takeaway. We normally have the set meals which always have a few extra bits thrown in.

Phoned at 5:45pm & placed an order for collection at around 6pm. Spoke to a lovely lady who confirmed my order by repeating it & telling me what it would cost. Unfortunately when my husband got home from collecting the food a boiled rice was missing. Bit irritating but mistakes happen. I phoned & spoke to a man & asked him to put the boiled rice ready as husband was on his way back for it. When my husband arrived the man told him I’d never ordered the rice, he knew that for a fact because HE had taken & repeated my order to me & there was no rice on it. Unless he’s absolutely amazing at impressions I definitely didn’t speak to him. He even charged my husband for a portion of boiled rice we’d already paid for. 🙄😣. So, that’s all a bit unfortunate & not great customer service, then to top it off the food was badly over salted & the crispy chilli beef was neither crispy nor had it seen a chilli. This place had improved a while ago but obviously it’s gone downhill again, we’ll stick to New Century in Clevedon in future.

Bought a large range of dishes for 10 people. Loved the fact that you could clearly see the kitchen and the various dishes being prepared.

This is literally the worst Chinese ever ! I wouldn’t bother spending your money I would go spend it at noble house , this is one of the worst Chinese it’s like the give you Iceland frozen food !! That discussing

We usually go to the Magic Wok as it's near where we liv and does the best Chinese food in Felixstowe however it was closed the evening we wanted to go there so we ordered from Cheungs instead. The food was ready and waiting on time when I arrived to collect it and the sweet and sour battered prawns and Hong Kong Style Chicken were both very good, decent rice and nice chips, and the sweet and sour sauce was lovely. I would say this is probably the second best Chinese restaurant in Felixstowe.

El negocio parece haber cambiado de manos recientemente, y la calidad de la comida ha mejorado. Ahora usamos regularmente y no hemos tenido que esperar más de unos pocos minutos. Sin embargo, el llevar pone muy concurrido en las noches de viernes y sábados en las horas pico.

Placed telephone order at 6.50 told 10-15 minutes. Arrived at 1905 took a seat. After 20 minutes asked how much longer, told that the telephone orders just came through apologised for the wait. After seeing several customers that had come I the shop to place the order leave, asked how long it was now 1940! Couldn't locate order then realised it was only the side. Order was now cold wasn't impressed a day said it was shocking and disgusted with the experience. Never will order again from here, 50 minutes from time order placed until given.

always deliver on time and the food is always nice there chow meins and spare ribs are always very tasty

We love this takeaway. Great choice of food. Free prawn crackers and when we get the food home it's always really hot. Staff are very friendly. the only downside is they don't accept cards as payment so don't forget to take cash with you.

Been here many times and the food is always good. Tonight's king prawns with spring onions and ginger was really good, lots of ginger and a really yummy flavour.

The food here used to be excellent, however on the last two occasions we have had takeaways from here the food has been really greasy and the batter on the king prawn balls was really thick and stodgy. I think there has been a change of ownership, and it has definitely gone downhill.

Alway order from them but today was a disappoint.45-hour wait after hour and half food turnt up and was cold.rang them up and gave a excuse no effort to put right.food in bin.waste of money

I have tried other takeaways in the local area but none come close to Cheungs. I normally always have the same dish but the quality is always consistent. If you are considering having a takeaway from here the only thing I would recommend is to phone through your order especially on a weekend as if you pop in to order sometimes you can be waiting a while for your food to be prepared but this is only due to their popularity so not a bad thing.

Always had great food here but the customer service is not as good! Very rude unfortunately! Also the delivery is not free as previously mentioned. Very disappointed not to receive prawn crackers with an order of nearly £50.00!

The food is always top quality, whether delivered ( no charge for delivery)or picked up. I recommend the house special dishes of any kind as they are excellent value and very tasty. Food is prepared in full sight of the serving counter which always scores big in any food provider for me.

I've been using Cheungs for years, and always had good service and good food. Prices are about average, but you do get a lot of food!

We were unsure of what to have whilst staying in a local hotel . This takeaway had mixed reviews but decide why the hell not. We chose a starter of salt and chilli ribs which were succulent and plentiful. We had plain chow mien noodles with a side of chips fried rice and curry sauce. All of which were cooked very nice . Don't pass this Chinese by you'll regret it .

Have had a number of excellent takeaways from here over the years. My favourites are the ones with ginger and spring onions, and sweet and sour Cantonese style. But all the dishes we have had were really nice.

Just moved to Congresbury and these guys are happy to deliver to us. The food is excellent, definitely better than the local Chinese we left behind in Bristol. Had 4 or 5 deliveries from Cheung's since we moved in March, all fantastic. Don't doubt, pick up the phone and order immediately.

We regularly grab a take away from Cheungs (or get it delivered if we're being lazy!). The food is always brilliant, highly recommended.

I was worried by earlier reviews and put off trying Cheungs. I needn't have been - this Chinese take away is perfectly fine. It's not restaurant quality (which I wouldn't expect anyway) but I have no complaints about the food or service. Called in on a Saturday evening. There were a few people waiting, but I was served straight away by a cheerful and polite young man. I waited just over 5 minutes for the food - about what I'd expect in a take away. We had chicken curry, sweet and sour pork Cantonese style, special fried rice and chips. The pork was crispy and not at all fatty or gristly - which is often a problem with take away s+sour pork. The special fried rice had large prawns in it and neither rice nor chips were greasy. At just under £15 I think this was a fair price for a decent take away meal.

I order from here a lot and I'm always impressed and the staff are lovely, especially the young man (Who I assume is the owners son) who is very polite and friendly.

I was a bit put off by the reviews but decided to give it a go. I really enjoyed it. I waited a while for the delivery but at least I knew it was being cooked fresh!

Have tried here numerous times hoping I have previously caught them on an off day but it's terrible each time. Greasy and zero taste, all seems overlooked and like mush.... Also don't accept any payment except cash. Is quite cheap so 2 stars
