Me and my boyfriend was looking to have a Chinese who delivered to Portishead we ordered from here and absolutely gorgeous all the food was hot and lovely food, would definitely recommend

We stopped here before leaving Clevedon to return home. We had a chicken chow mein. It was really nice and very tasty. The lady who served us was really friendly and our food was cooked really quick. Will call in again when in the area.

Tonight I thought I'd that myself and had read great reviews on here,however I was so dissapointed. Ordered sweet and sour chicken not the balls in battery and had basically chicken covered in bstter sliced up. The rice and noodles were nice and Prawn crakers but that was it. The spring roll was soggy and very under cooked. £18.00 totally wasted . I'm sorry to give a bad review but it was meant to be a little treat and was total disaster. I doubt I'd order from here again even though the.driver was very friendly.

Ive been using this Chinese Takeaway for 30+ years never had a bad meal great fast delivery service always delivered hot & the delivery drivers are always polite. Please remember there is a added charge for delivery please ask when ordering. Big thank you to Howard & the staff for keeping up with the standards through the last year & look forward to my next order BEST CHINESE TAKEAWAY IN CLEVEDON. & if you do have a issue speak to Howard & he will always put the mater right otherwise how is he ment to know theres a problem.

First visit too Clevedon and we enjoyed a variety of excellent dishes including a splendid crispy beef.

Yet another superb takeaway (one of many). Never fails to come up with the goods. So easy and delivery to door when promised Fab. We will be back

One of the only Chinese takeaways in Clevedon that has decent menu options for vegetarians! Still not loads bit better then others.

Beautiful duck starter, but after that food not worth a mention except to say it was very poor especially given it was just straight forward curries with rice. I usually cannot finish a takeaway meal and happy to have the leftovers for lunch the next day but this only got as far as the bin after a couple of mouthfuls.

When it was a restaurant we used to go there frequently. But having moved to Clevedon we decided to have takeaway and the standard has dropped.The restaurant was always cold and sparsely occupied but their buffet was excellent.Sorry cannot say the same for the takeaway,

Collected takeaway to have with family, food was good, hot, loved the sesame prawn toast & chicken balls, my beef chow mein was nice, a little lacking of flavour, but enough beef so couldn't complain! All the family were happy with their meal and would happily order a takeaway from here again.

Good food, tasty and quick, my local Chinese is always closed on Monday, I was in the mood, I’ve eaten here on their buffet nights, good food. Buffet now gone 😱

Round Window used to be the 'go to' place for takeaway, but not last evening!My wife and I got home after a busy day and made an order about 6,30. The order arrived in a new-ish BMW after 30 minutes, but was never worth the £37 for meal AA.The starters were dry, the duck was still on the bone, the vegetable dishes tasted and looked like they were left over from the previous day. A great disappointment!We won't be ordering from Round Window again.

Takeaway, food was a little flat and very average. Rice with chicken lacked flavour overall quality seems to have changed since closure of the restaurant.

We have bought takeaway meals from Cheung Chaw several times in the past and we always enjoy it. We buy the Special Dinner for Two at £18 and it consists of prawn crackers, beef stew, egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken and two spring rolls. Always ready for when I turn up to collect it and always tastes freshly cooked and full of flavour. I thoroughly recommend this place and its takeaway food

We had a great take away from here again, we normally have one once a month and ,as yet, have never had a bad one. The food always tastes freshly cooked and the portions are generous. I can recommend the sweet and sour battered chicken!

Six of us visited this popular Chinese restaurant, well known for good takeaways, on 3rd February. It was empty. There was no atmosphere but the food was not too bad. It was a special evening for our family but didn't come up to expectations. The bill came to £170 and I tipped the female waitress about £7 for what was only average service (they were empty!). When she made out the bill there was a £15 "service charge" which was not on the menu. She still kept the £7 and therefore I had tipped over £23!!!! I was totally ripped off but didn't notice until next day when we were far away. NEVER will our family ever go there again and I recommend that YOU don't either (unless you want to get ripped off!). Disgraceful!

Pedimos comida para llevar desde aquí nuestro lugar habitual estaba cerrada. Elegimos nuestras opciones habituales de arroz frito especial un chow mein con verduras pan de gambas. Tengo que decir que no tenía comparación en absoluto de nuestra costumbre. No importa cuánto de salsa de soja y sazonar he añadido había poco o ningún sabor a cualquier plato. No hace falta que diga que no se pedir desde aquí, lo siento

Fuimos allí dos noches en una fila y un montón de clientes para llevar orden - que habla por sí mismo en calidad.

Tenía una comida para llevar desde aquí esta noche. No es nuestra costumbre china pero pensamos darle una oportunidad. Fue muy agradable. Muy sabrosa.

Nos topamos con la ventana redonda en una noche de sábado después de ser rechazado en casi todos los otros restaurante lleno en Clevedon.

We use this Chinese takeaway the food is great and the staff are obliging and while you wait for your food you can watch their tv it also has a restaurant if you want to eat in

I use the take away delivery service which I find excellent value for money......the telephonic service usually ten to fifteen minutes is ideal for those who are in ' I don't feel like cooking tonight 'mode. The menu is the same as the restaurant and if you feel like changing it you only have to request. It's now over ten years I have been using Cheung Chaw and never once been let down...........Monday I was delivered dry spicy spare ribs, special fried rice with Szechuan King Prawn......not on the menu but with a quick word with Howard who is usually on the phone will to your will.

Visitamos el 30 de diciembre con la familia. Éramos 5. El restaurante estaba lleno y sólo una persona estaba en "frente" derecho de la casa. Nos sentamos a las 19:00 y nuestros platos principales no llegó hasta las 20:45, momento en el que el hambre y el interés había pasado.

Fuimos allí con mis amigos fue adorable efecto . camarero muy bueno y dirige intencionalmente. Hay un montón de gente de selección de comida de nuestro grupo venía de fuera clevedon y era muy me impresionó muchísimo. Excelente relación calidad-precio gracias

Had food delivered tonight and was really disappointed. Havent used this place for a while but really fancied it yet i wish i never did. Food was black and over cooked, i know this not just by the look and taste but because i come from a chinese heritage and im also a chef. Will not be going back nor would i recommend. A shame really as this place used to be really nice. And you call all see the phota i taken of the bag chips !!!

went here on sunday 25th January to celebrate my grandaughters birthday the food was excellent we had the buffet and had a large choice. to suit everyone. we were the only people in there so had the waiter to our selves, he was very intentive. only thing I would say is I didn't expect to pay a 10 percent service charge. but in all excellant

Had a take-away from here - poor quality food and pricey compared with other takeaways. We definitely won't be coming back.

I was treated to the buffet as a post exam/ birthday treat. We always try to visit here on special occasions in past but we were disappointed this time. The food seemed to take a long time to arrive and wasn't very warm. when the starters came 1 item was missing, by the time it came the rest of the food was eaten! All of the dishes we ordered were tried & tested favourites but this time they just weren't up to the usual standards. Lamb was so fatty that it was unpleasant to eat- we can only assume/ hope that it was a "bad night" for the chef !! but a REAL SHAME - not sure if we will risk another visit without positive, word of mouth recommendations ??

We stopped here on our way down to Devon for half term holiday. We have called into Cliveden a few times before for something to eat as it's not far from the motorway. Previously we have eaten at Junior Poons, which coincidentally is lovely. This time round we choose to try Cheung suez chop house, we are a family of six with four children aged 6, 8, 9 and 10 - on walking in we observed that they had a midweek set price - £14 per adult and £7 per child. Apart from our meal which consisted of a few starters including some very fatty ribs, duck and two main meals we also ordered three children's drinks, two glasses of very average red wine, two bottles of water and a beer - the bill came to £105 - excluding service! Needless to say they had obviously charged us adult prices for all the children which seemed really unfair, especially considering that two didn't have any main course and the other two just had some of my boiled rice. The quality of the food wasn't great and the restaurant felt cold - there was a hot air blow heater in the corner but it still felt chilly. Apart from us there were only two other couples in the restaurant and I can understand why. We certainly won't return.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered. Cost us £25.10, when it arrived we noticed a rice was missing so called to let them know. The man on the phone was very dismissive and denied we had ordered 2 rice. When we queried the price he just fobbed us off and said it was a £3 delivery charge! That seems a lot considering we were so close. My partner told him we wouldn't be ordering again and he told him he didn't care if he lost our custom. We served our food up and it was watery and tasteless! I don't not advise anyone use this place.

We have been to Cheung Chaw on several occasions, last night was excellent, the Buffet menu choosing from a list, all cooked to order is exceptional value at £14.The staff were excellent with food arriving quickly.

Can't believe the differencein the food over last 6 months. Take-out food used to be really good but the past 3 times we have ordered it has been awful. Greasy, tasteless, even wrong order once - don't think we will back any time soon.

We were having a small family celebration earlier this year, and didn't feel like going too far, I had heard that Cheung Chaw Chop Suez House was worth a visit. We didn't book beforehand and it was midweek but on our arrival we were the first diners there. Its not an over sized restaurant, but nicely decorated. The staff were quite attentive and as it was a buffet meal they explained to us how it worked. We ordered several different dishes, some we had tried before some we hadn't, it did take a little while to arrive, but well worth the wait. The array of food put in front of us was fantastic and it tasted equally as good. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and reasonably priced at almost £15 per head. We would definitely go again and would recommend it to others. The only thing I would say is it is probably best to go midweek as cheaper.

Went here to try out. Very pleasant inside excellent service food very nice.will def visit again. Fillet steak Cantonese style salt and chilli squid both excellent.

Booked table here for a wet Thursday evening. Was very surprised at how nice it was inside and NOT overcrowded with tables. We had the buffet menu and were delighted with everything we ordered. The service was excellent and no trying to get us out as soon as we had finished. Will definately go again. Looking at some of the other reviews makes me wonder if it is the same restaurant!

Not sure what justifies the owner putting the prices up by £4 per person. Or having a system in place to measure children to see if they need to pay full price.Food the same as ever and frankly needs a bit of an update.Was definitely not happy and let the owner know !!!Will go to JR Poons next time.

We had a meal here on Monday evening with four friends after not having visited the Cheung Chaw for more years than we care to remember!All six chose the buffet menu (the "eat all you want") choice which offered a bewildering range of dishes divided between starters and main dishes. - altogether there must have been over forty items so most people should be able to find something to their liking. We all had the crispy duck pancakes which were very good together with a range of other starters and mains which in general were very good and of excellent value.The surroundings were pleasant and the decor fresh but we did find it drafty where we were seated despite the efforts of our very helpful waitress to cure this problem. Despite this we all enjoyed the food, the service was swift and efficient and value for money was very good at £14 per head (plus drinks of course) and look forward to returning in the not-too-distant future.

Last night we enjoyed a visit to the restaurant with friends.We were sat on a oval table ,which i feel was a very important as this seating arrangement encourages interaction with conversation by all.One of the party was not exactly excited over chinese cuisine but due to the choice on the buffet menu a little of each was tried and enjoyed.The food was fresh full of flavor,and as much as you could eat served quickly and efficently with a smile,nothing was to much trouble.The restaurant is spotless and surroundings tastefully decorated my only grumble would be it was cold due to a draft coming from the takeway door,the waitress did try to rectify this with a extra heater brought in but i do feel the problem needs to be dealt with,i will visit again and for those of you who have not go and book that table you will enjoy.

Staying in or dining out - same high quality, very friendly and efficient service at a very fair price. Midweek buffet is exceptional value. We never go any where else as we have never been disappointed

Went with a group of friends on a Wednesday evening. They arranged us on an oval table, which was very sociable. The lovely array of freshly produced dishes just kept coming. Staggered over the evening, three courses were consumed and much vino.The owners have decorated with wood/ oriental theme-very fresh. An unrushed and fun evening. I will definitely go back with my partner.

My wife and I visited the Cheung Chaw on Friday evening, it was easy to book a table, when we arrived at 7 pm we were the only customers for 45 minutes. A group of 6 girls turned up later, that was all until we left.The food was good, tasty, hot plates, good service without being in youir face, but atmosphere was zero.It's a shame, there used to be a real buzz, we won't go back there apart from takeaways.

the food was good and whilst most people preferred the 'eat all you like' Chinese meal deal, others opted for more conventional English dishes - all served round a rotating table, which works very well for multi-dish selections. We didn't like the service charges being put on top of the menu prices.

When you first look at the outside of the building you do wonder what you are in for but.......This restaurant gives excellent value for money and a really good quality menu. The service is first rate and the choice of dishes is wide enough to satisfy almost anyone.The price does not reflect either the service or the food, both of which are far better than the main alternative restaurant in Clevedon.We will eat here again - often!

We had a lovely meal here. The service is great & very attentive without being overly so. The food was very tasty with good size portions. There is a nice area outside for us smokers & I’m looking forward to sitting outside in the summer. My only criticism is that even if it’s not busy they fill the table’s together rather than spreading people around the restaurant. There were 3full tables all on one side of the restaurant with no one else on the other side. It was a shame as we had to listen to a very boring loud man at the next table. We are definitely visiting again soon.

Great food and fast service, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant but as a takeaway it's the best in the area.

After reading the positive reviews of this restaurant, we decided to visit for the all you can eat Monday - Thursday buffet. On the plus side, the restaurant is very pleasant and the staff friednly and efficient. You choose from a set menu and can order as much as you want, subject to a strict wastage policy. Portions are generous and the food is nicely cooked but unfortunately, was somewhat short on flavour in some cases. We ordered a plate of mixed starters - bbq spare ribs which came with a sweet but tasteless sauce, mini spring rolls with a boiling hot filling that again was strangely tasteless and satay chicken with a heavily salted but not particularly peanutty sauce. We followed with crispy duck pancakes which was very nice to be fair. Our selection of main courses, spicy mixed vegetables, kung po chicken, chicken with cashews and egg dried rice again could have done with a bit more flavour - the normally spicy kung po chicken could have been a sweet and sour. Maybe we visited on an off night as all the other reviews here are very positive but it was all a bit bland which was a shame as the price, ambience and service are all very good.

I have eaten in the restaurant once (the Mon-Thur special offer) which was a good meal but I prefer the take-away for value, quality and speed of service. I have been using it for many years and never disappointed.

The food and the service is of the highest order, the owner can not do enough for you and the food is fantastic and half price to other local Chinese restaurants!

The buffet menu here (Monday - Thursday) has to be the best value Chinese around. The service is fantastic, the food is amazing and the ambience good, it always amzes me how quiet this restaurant is whenever we visit, believe me, it should be booked weeks in advance, if you like good food and enjoy being treated like Royalty, pay this wonderful restaurant a visit.Parking across the road and really very good value for money.

Every time we go to relatives in Clevedon, I always look forward to a dinner at the Cheung Chaw Chop Suey House. The food is always very good, the service is friendly and efficient and I always try to leave room for a dessert as the pineapple fritters are to die for. Would certainly recommend this restaurant and I know that my relatives also use it for take out on a regular basis.

Really good quality food provided by really friendly people. Eating in the restaurant does not add a lot to the experience. I would certainly recommend as a take-away
