Lovely slightly laid back place. Great service.

Very good meal. Virtually nothing by way of any leftovers from a mixed variety of dishes across our group attested to this. Service was prompt and all the staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful. Only very minor issue was our order included two different red wines and when they came the waiter didn't know which was which. Fortunately not a problem for the recipients as they easily identified their preferred choice. All in all a good evening in pleasant surroundings. Would certainly recommend and revisit.

Popped in for lunch with a work colleague. Food was really fresh and had great flavours. Has the fried chicken dish and was one of the best meals of that type I’ve ever had. Really crispy and complimented well by the sides. Would definitely go back

Shout out to Chesters for making my friends birthday so special. The portions size is insane, and the food itself was amazing! Nachos were topped with EVERYTHING, and my pulled pork was out of this world. Thanks to the amazing waitress (last night) who went above and beyond. This is a hidden gem in Worcester!

Had been here before a couple of years ago, but finding it again was a pleasant surprise. Went on a very busy Friday night after making a last minute reservation. Very busy, but the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere downstairs. Several delicious tapas-style dishes. Excellent experience. Highly recommended.

I couldn't believe a Mexican restaurant not serving beef. What next a burger restaurant not serving burgers? No idea what the owner is thinking. I have been here a number of times before and enjoyed a lovely beef chilli con carne. But imagine my shock when not only was this no longer on the menu, but no beef products at all. I am guessing there some good reasons for taking beef off the menu, but for this is a deal breaker. Sorry but I won't be back. Shame I used to love going here.

Haven't been here for years, so decided to celebrate my partners birthday there, didn't start well when the young waitress literally threw her cocktail all over her new dress, so not a great start to the evening, the young lady did say sorry to her but what was disappointing from our point of view was no one from management came over to offer an apology, was hoping the food would cheer us up but very average I'm sorry to say. 🫤

Food was absolutely delicious. Very hard to find a good mexican and this is the best in the area by far.

We fancied Mexican food and did the usual Google search and found this place. Booked a table and turned up. Bit of confusion about my wife's allergy to rocket but we got through that. I ordered a bottle of red wine and my wife ordered a white wine and soda. We both got glasses of wine, mine without the bottle and hers without the soda. After that was cleared up everything went well, food was good and the service improved, until the end when, not yet finished, the bill was put on our table. We questioned why and were told that we asked for it. Explaining that we had not the table next to us put their hands up and explained that it was them. We all had a bit of a laugh about it. All in all, apart from the confusions, the foodxwas good and the location was good. Worth a visit

A quiet midweek lunch but the food and service were exceptional.

Have visited Chester’s many times over several years but over last two visits have noticed a huge decline in the quality and quantity of food. Chime- Changas were soggy and generally disappointing. The mushroom wrap had a scarcity of mushrooms and at £17-£20 for a main, the food now seems overpriced and underwhelming. Shame as this was always a favoured restaurant, but now seems to have lost its way.

We've been to Chester's a few times in the last two years. Absolutely love it! Food is always really tasty and hot, service is really friendly. Ambiance is cosy and cheerful. I particularly recommend the nachos and the churros.

Great service, food and atmosphere. We had 6x tapas dishes, all veggie friendly, and they were delicious, especially the black beans. Everything came served together and quite obviously it was all freshly prepared and piping hot, couldn't fault it. When we arrived it was obviously busy and it was clearly explained that it might be a while before we could order food. This was perfect communication in action, giving us the ability to decide if we were happy to wait, which we were (and very pleased that we did!)

Not quite the same level of Mexican authenticity that I'm accustomed to in America but was delicious

Firstly Everything we ate, we absolutely loved. My tacos were the perfect amount and you get what you pay for. We had a few items from the tapas menu and then a main each.

Always wanted to pop in here ,we booked a table for Saturday, we were taken straight to are table were the staff were very friendly they were very helpful to my wife as she does like like very spicy food, there is a seating area where we had a drink afterwards which has a TV on the wall, Very happy with the staff and food will be going again

Attended with a group of friends, 3 of us ordered tapas( 3 for £18) & 3 main meals. The food is bland, very poor & small portions. The nachos are incredibly similar to the cheap 55p bags you can get from supermarkets. It’s so overpriced & poor. Shame really as the staff are really lovely & attentive.

If you are thinking of eating here take time to talk to the staff and choose carefully. The burrito was bland. Ribs very fatty. Daughter liked their chicken wraps but really wasn’t ‘Mexican’ more kfc. Rice so sticky and bland

I think chesters is fantastic, Mexican food done really well and a big menu. We have been for evening meals and for lunch with my kids. Highly recommended.

We were impressed by the range of choice as we have veggies, meat eaters and lactose intolerance in our party. I'm not particularly keen on mexican food as I don't do spice but I really enjoyed it! The staff helped me choose something suitable, it was all great. The homemade ice cream at the end was particularly awesome. Really worth a visit

We used to love eating here but they are not dog friendly at all. It’s says ‘dog welcome’ but they do not welcome them at all. We will not go back

I came here with some friends. We’re young and getting used to going out on our own so it’s difficult to criticise, but we very much appreciated the good service and nice decor, we were happy with our table. However, the food and drinks were a bit disappointing. I ordered a merlot and it tasted slightly vinegary and had a salty aftertaste but then had a pinot grigio and that was fine. My friend and I both ordered the cauliflower wrap and were quite disappointed when we noticed that there wasn’t very much flavour to the cauliflower, and that the only flavour we noticed was the cheese in it. We both thought, at first, that £14 for the wrap, some fries and a salad was a fair price but after tasting the wrap, we thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. I want to make it clear that we appreciated the good service, but that we thought the food (the vegetarian food) and some of the drinks were overpriced considering the quality. Overall, we enjoyed our experience but thought the prices were too high.

High expectations after reading recommendations for it being vegan friendly. Mushrooms tapas were just in some very insipid sauce, companion's dish were bits of cold pork on a tiny wrap, tea arrived a teabag in a cup, very disappointing, £21 and left feeling still hungry, awful experience

Delicious Go-light Chimi-changa and Jambalaya. Really nice corn on the cob that came with the chimi-changa. Reasonably quick service, and quiet but not "dead" atmosphere on a Wednesday lunchtime.

A table of 9 for an 18 th birthday party. Cannot fault it. Food was delicious, hot, served promptly and staff were friendly and professional. Good sized portions and very reasonably priced. Loved the decor, warm and cosy, not rushed and could really take our time. I took a birthday cake and they bought it out for our desert with plates ,knives and napkins, most impressed. Thank you for making my daughters evening so very special and been so welcoming , loved it and will be back.

Tasty dinner. House Nacho's has plenty of topping, Jambalaya was hot and full of flavour plus the Mexican beers were great. Soft shelled tacos were highly enjoyable too

Yum yum yum. It has been around 6 or 7 years since I last ate here. I used to be a regular. I had a birthday here and my wedding meal. I'm pleased to report that the food is just as amazing as it always was. Friendly and helpful staff. Quick service. So many vegan options. I won't leave it so long until I return here.

Despite making a confirmed booking in June we arrived in September to be told we didn't have a booking and couldn't be accomodated. Even when we showed the email it made no difference. We were told we could eat downstairs on our own or in the bar. I was with my 89 year disabled mum so low tables in the bar wouldn't have done. I asked for the guy in the email but obviously nobody knew who he was and I asked for the manager but the guy I was speaking to said it was him! If that's true it all made a bit of sense. He really couldn't have cared less. As we left he followed us to the door barking the names of other local restaurants in quite a sarcastic manner. Luckily we chanced on the King Charles II just up the road where the staff were delightfully welcoming and the food was good. I later spoke to a couple who had eaten at Chesters They said the service had been ok and the food was quite ordinary. I recommend you keep walking - plenty of lovely places on New St!

Been here last night, after having tried some pubs but all of them said kitchens were already closed (before 8 pm!), a very kind guy met in one of these pubs suggested us this restaurant and it was a very good suggestion! Everything was delicious, I especially loved mushrooms! Beers good as well and the prices were good too. We had a very nice dinner!

Great litte side street bar...Nice food ...friendly staff.

Very meh food. Shame as good service and nice interior. Tort chips nasty (over cooked in old oil). Carnitas tasted like supermarket pulled pork. Rice, flavourless. Cajun chicken, no spiciness. Loos not very nice.

The most amazing service is beautiful the lady who served us (Wednesday 12th july at 7.30pm) when the extra 100 miles! She was incredible, and the food was so tasty and massive portions. My wife found this and I'm so happy we come here! Thank you to absolutely everyone who worked that shift. 🫶

I love coming here, always very tasty, massive selection on the menu and also gluten free available if required. Portion sizes are good and nice selection of deserts.

I've been using Chester's for approximately 20 years now as I do love their burritos, which I order every time I go. Whilst still very tasty I have found that the portion sizes and food quality seem to worsen with each visit and yet the prices continue to rise. I understand that price increases are inevitable especially with the price of the raw materials going up but surely it's unfair to shrink what the customer receives!? When I first use to order burritos they came with either a large salad or large rice with salsa, guacamole and sour cream. The last several visits the meal has only come with rice (of which the quality has significantly refuced) and sour cream. I was very disappointed today as the rice portion can't have been bigger than 3 table spoons (I had to lift my burritos up to find it) and the sour cream was clearly poor quality as it was very watery. Despite this the prices have gone up again! Also my sons meal that came with (frozen) chips which again were a very small portion and most of the chips look like the dog ends in the bottom of the bag! Come on guys I appreciate that you need to make a profit, but you're ripping your customers off and reducing your food quality. Not sure I'll be going again which is a shame as I've always loved this restaurant.

Food was very poor, rice and a wrap with just one filling doesn't constitute as a burrito, enchilada or chimichanga. Considering the price, it was really weak "mexican food". The staff were lovely, seems a fun place to drink.

Love this place, the food is delicious, it can get a bit cramped as there isn't a huge amount of space so take that into consideration if you're thinking of booking for a large party, but as a lover of mexican food, I am very happy with Chesters.

Chester's is an absolute hidden gem, very rarely is Mexican food done well in the UK. The restaurant is flavour forward with simple dishes done exceptionally, I appreciate being able to customise the heat of each of the dishes. Service is excellent and the atmosphere is very chilled.

A few years ago I would have undoubtedly given Chester’s 5/5 stars but lately it’s just not been what it used to be. The last few times I have eaten here the food has been very bland compared to before yet the prices remain just a touch more than your average restaurant in Worcester. The food just isn’t up to scratch anymore so unfortunately I probably won’t eat here again considering the cost of living going up too. A meal out was a treat anyway, but now it’s something I can do even less frequently I want to make sure I’m getting value for money. What I will say however is if you sit downstairs the atmosphere is great and also they do one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had.

We went here for lunch today - lovely interior, quick and friendly service, delicious fresh food and good value for money. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options too.

Fajitas were lovely, could’ve done with more guacamole/sour cream/salsa but otherwise the actual meal was cooked to perfection. I also expected better draught lagers like maybe Estrella or San Miguel but there was only Corona or Camden Hells. Others on the table were very happy with their jackfruit and chicken chimichangas and tapas!

Food is very nice here, I think the drink selection could be better and the staff could be more attentive but maybe it’s because we had an 8pm Saturday booking.

Have visited a few times over the last 12-18 months, food is always spot on, reasonably priced, and the restaurant is clean and decorated nice too. Highly recommend to anyone fancying some Mexican food and drink (they sell dos Equis!)
