Popped in for a pint whilst staying locally. Guinness was spot on unlike the other places locally.

Thanks to Rachel and all of the staff who looked after us for Ron's 80th birthday celebration, absolutely first class, a great time had by all

There's always somewhere to sit to have a nite for music or quiet talk time with a great pint!! Was even time for a game of pool which is popular among the lads, good nite all round! Plenty Parking spaces !

The staff were horrible. I asked for drinks they were horrible I ordered food they were horrible I payed for everything and we left before they served the food because they are horrible people

Felt very unwelcome as soon as walked in door. Staff had a bad attitude. Ordered and paid for food and drinks didn't bother staying as atmosphere was hostile. Won't be coming back.

Lovely pub food, fantastic cheesecakes, all homemade. Definitely recommend this place.

Been twice for afternoon food both times food was lovely. Four different meals sausage and mash, cottage pie Yorkshire pudding, flat bread pizza and steak pie and chips. All meals very good value tasty and served by friendly staff. Would also like to mention how dog friendly the Cherry tree is which is a plus because we take him everywhere.

Great pub with lovely outdoor area, stumbled across the cherry tree while out for a drink with family and friends and so pleased I did, staff where excellent and attentive and food was great value….. we will be back

Had lunch in the Cherry Tree after seeing their new menu on Facebook. Corned beef pie was beautiful, served with double dunked chips and mushy peas. Other party had the flatbread pizza and said it was one of the nicest she'd tasted. For desert I had rum and raisin cheesecake, absolutely divine. We will definitely return

British Pie Week at #thecherrytreewashington, so we went for lunch today. Phil chose a Steak & Haggis pie recommended by our Mark (Clements) with potato, veg and gravy. Myself chose a Curried Veg & Quorn pie with potato, veg and gravy. Our friend had the corned beef pie with potato, veg and gravy. They were all totally delish. Another tasty meal at the tree. Their menu is great with a lot of options and very reasonably priced. Staff are all lovely too. Highly recommend this great pub 👍 Carole & Phil. Washington UK March 2024

I visited the cherry tree for food last night. We opted for the pie and chips after seeing them advertised on the pubs fb page and the kids got the pizza deal two for £10 which was well worth the money. The homemade chips were an added bonus. The staff were very attentive. We will definitely be visiting again in the future

Best boozer in washington, staff top notch,new menu is the dogs bollox

We visited here on a recommendation to have a meal one weekday evening. We'd heard the food was good but left without eating due to concerns around hygiene. We bought drinks and were browsing the menu, but the first alarm bell went off when the couple on the table next to us started vaping. On a table opposite, a couple had three dogs with them, all of which were sitting on the bench seat. All of this is fine of course if that's what the owner wants, but we just didn't feel comfortable eating there so finished our drinks and left. The drinks were fine but I wouldn't return, at least not to eat.

Had a meal yesterday . Really good value and they serve proper chips! Great you can also take your dog in . Would definitely recommend .

We popped in to have tea. We got 2 pizzas for £10 from their new menu. They were gorgeous. The pub is lovely. The staff are brilliant. We will be eating here again.

After seeing a lot of recommendations lately we decided to have lunch in the Cherry Tree. I went for corned beef pie, chips, mushy peas and gravy, followed by rum and raisin cheesecake. Absolutely delicious! The pie was to die for and I could have eaten a bucketful of the real chips. The cheesecake was very flavoursome, definitely one to try again. My niece got the flatbread pizza and said it was one of the nicest pizzas she'd had in a long time. We will definitely be back.

Been in the cherry tree tonight for tea, I had the Gammon, my husband had fish and chips, the food was excellent, the service was really good.

Love that this pub is dog friendly

I stopped here to get a bit of tea. I chose the mixed grill, which was nice enough, but the chicken was too dry for my liking. But I still eat it. Many locals visit this place throughout the day, and the atmosphere is friendly. The staff are helpful and serve with a smile.

Saturday fun for all, real buzz busy with real friendly atmosphere great friendly service, there for the football with friends and drinks were flowing, lots in from young to old, in this day and age not all pubs are busy, the Cherry Tree is successful due to the good food, value, friendly service, nice pint, good Sunday Dinners that leave all customers satisfied and some of the older customers take home plated up with care, going above and beyond. Successful Full pub with great staff who make everyone feel very welcome. 🍻🍻 Looking forward to the festive season and New Year’s Day out, there’ll be something on to have the place jumping. Awful, awful. Stopping overnight in Washington. Someone recommended it and read the reviews. Had booked a table for 6.30pm. Arrived ten minutes late (got lost on the way). We were told the booking had cancelled, as there were no other bookings. And the cook had gone home at 6.30!! Terrible place. Very noisy inmates and even louder musack. This is not a pub with a restaurant, but a drinking establishment that sells fast food. Have to wonder who wrote their reviews for them!!!!!

Very friendly family run pub. Serves a good selection of food and drink, atmosphere is always very friendly. The pub also has the biggest beer garden in Washington which is brilliant in the summer. I often bring my dog with me and he is always given a warm welcome as well as the odd treat too.

Visit the cherry tree often, Food is absolutely amazing and all the staff are friendly and happy to help! Wouldn’t recommend anywhere better will definitely be returning💗

Went last night for tea, I had scampi and chips it was lovely, however my husband had fish and chips and the fish was undercooked.

We went in on Wednesday 30th august for food and were told at 7.59pm that kitchen closes at 8 and last orders are 7.40pm. We then went in the next day (Thursday 31st august) at 6.50pm and we were told kitchen was closed. The manager was rude and unhelpful. Also we were displeased to see many people were vaping inside which given we had young children who could breathe it in we left not even staying for a drink. We were made to feel very unwelcome and will never visit again.

Always friendly and welcoming. Staff can't do enough for you. Great atmosphere at all times. Delicious food. I particularly love the home made Sunday lunch. Always some sort of entertainment to look forward too. Summer especially is great as massive beer garden. Had a couple of functions here and was very impressed. They alway think of kids at Halloween, Christmas etc and put on a good disco/Santa with breakfast. Plenty for locals to enjoy together with Sky Super Six football cards etc. Lots of Contractors have been over the years when working local and end up being friends. An all round great pub.

Received food vouchers through the post, thought we would give it a go. Told kitchen had closed at 6.15 p.m, left and went to our usual pub for food. Tables needed cleaning, dark and not very inviting. Probably should have rang first to check.

Went in last night to join the other 3 people. Terrible pub that needs a deep clean everywhere. Way over priced and a step back to the 70s. Never again.

Met friends here with the intention of having a meal, but we're disappointed to learn that food was not served after 17.30. It is a decent dog friendly pub though.

Went in for a meal with some of my family. It was lovely the meal was hot plenty of it and the service was good. Got a nice surprise with the price of things will definitely go back. The sitting area was really good didn't feel like we were on top of others. Had a really good experience thank you.

Recently used the venue for the after event following my daughters' christenings. We obtained catering direct from the venue. The staff were friendly, the food was good value and the manager/owner was easy to communicate with to book. Would recommend for an after event gathering.

Buffet done here for a much loved old friend. A lovely job was done. Dog friendly, allowed the old man's dog in to roam to meet up with deceased friends and family. As we missed funeral due to unforseen circs we very much enjoyed this. Well done!
