First time at cheers, My partner and I really enjoyed it, food was banging and the staff couldn't do another to help us. We will definitely be back

Atmosphere only down a star as it was empty....i was in as soon as it opened. Couldn't fault the food or the service. Good value for money

Would highly recommend this place if you love steak. the service was incredible super friendly and fast with a fantastic atmosphere to go with it. Starters and sides also hit the spot well worth your money.

It was OK. I believe that this place is overrated. It gets quite loud inside due to the large number of people cram in. The service was OK because they never checked on my table until we were ready to leave. Additionally, they only brought out one order of chips even though we paid for two orders. They gave the excuse of not wanting our chips to get cold. It was a table of two. Why did they assume that we would share the cup of chips? Then the server gives the bill to the lady that I was with after I asked for it, and he ask me if I would be paying for all of the food. Servers should not be assuming who is paying for the bill. Just bring the check. I will not be returning. I will not recommend it. I can cook a better steak at home with my eyes closed. The best dishes were the black beans and me dipping my chips into the mushroom sauce. Too much assumptions from the servers in this overrated establishment, and the meat quality is not impressive. They are making a big profit from selling unlimited low quality meat.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious! The restaurant itself was quaint and clean. There was convenient parking nearby. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and the food came out quickly. Overall, great experience and I would definitely recommend to everyone!

The steak on stone was an amazing experience and the best steak me and my partner have ever had. We had Grace as our waitress, and not once did we run out of anything. It was particularly busy that Saturday evening, but the service didn't slip. We will definitely be back!

Menu has had a few option taken off, which was a shame but understandable. Food that was served was great, it's a good place to meet up with friends to eat and chat, I really enjoy this element you don't have to struggle to listen or shout to be heard. Children are welcome and cheers seems family oriented, I can't comment on the menu options for children as we haven't tried these. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Just thought I'd mention in the colder weather when the front door is opened a draft runs though the front downstairs seating area which can be a bit uncomfortable. Friends, family and I really like cheers and we've have had great times here. Thank you cheers and your staff!!!!

Amazing quality steak, we had the set menu 2 which was constantly topped up as well as our drinks. Our waitress Grace was incredible and managing the whole upstairs and not once did we have to ask for anything she was always on it! We will be back

We have been coming to cheers for years now and the service and food never fails ! We came in for a 50th birthday and Diogo was our server, he was so attentive and helpful through out the whole evening !!

We called up at 18:30 asking for a cheeky table for 4 at 19:30. The staff proactively booked us in despite us requesting a last minute booking. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and the vibes are amazing. Diogo from the restaurant dealt with us chaps and he was so accommodating. To get to the point, the service was fantastic, food satisfying, and the vibes top tier. 5 stars all around!

Great spot for some cheeky steak and some cheeky sangria - very helpful and attentive service can’t fault them - all for under a nifty as well

I’m an American that’s lived here in the UK for 4 years, this is the best restaurant I’ve been too, great food but the service we had from Fernando was 11/10. Only downside was we couldn’t eat more or stay longer!!

I can say that hope, unfortunately, I felt very ill because I was experiencing very strong intestinal pains, even though I was about to faint, and the entire staff at the restaurant immediately gnawed at me, with all their affection and concern for my health, they immediately proposed to call a ambulance. Cheers is our family's "go to" for birthday's and special occasions. We've been going since 2021, the food and service are consistently awesome. Diogo is always professional and always provides top tier service. Be sure to reserve a table because they get packed after 6.

Lovely restaurant. What I really liked about it is the server Pedro he was looking around to see if he was needed even when serving people. I thought that was particularly good as I don’t tend to see that in other places.

Lovely atmosphere, and nice food. Our server, Fernando, was the right level of attentive, we felt looked after but not watched. My only small comment would be the sachets of sauce - the mustard was not very nice!

We visited the cheers restaurant for a family Birthday lunch following lots of great reviews we had read on trip advisor. But, quite frankly, now we have visited, we have no idea who in their right minds are writing these reviews!! The restaurant is located...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! We had a large family party here yesterday and the service was horrendous. We waited over 30 mins just to be served 8 cokes! Then unfortunately things took a turn for the worst. We had the most rude waiter I have ever encountered in my life, who dropped a glass on someone and didnt even apologise, then abruptly and rudely told them to 'move their glasses' off the table. At this point we decided to leave. However when one of our family members got up to walk out, the waiter ran after him and assaulted him. We had 4 very distraught young children with us who had to witness this and who are still terrified. To make things worse, the manager had the audacity to come out of the restaurant (where we were waiting for the Police to show up) and try to condone the behaviour of her out of control employee. All we wanted was a nice family meal together celebrating a birthday but yet ended up with over an hour talking to the police with our young children completely traumatised by it all. Absolutely disgusting. Dodgy restaurant, dodgy people, AVOID!

We were staying in Thetford for 2 days. Tried TripAdvisor to see what local restaurants were recommended. Cheers was number 1. And so we booked and gave it a go....a great decision. Nice family feel to the restaurant with a good atmosphere. Nice menu, fairly...

So, I recently organised a big birthday dinner at Cheers, and while the atmosphere was spot on and the staff were friendly, the way they handled the bill was a bit of a shambles. I specifically asked them to sort out the extras separately, but when the bill arrived, they just split it evenly among everyone. To make matters worse, they said someone hadn't paid, which didn't make sense because we were pretty sure everyone had settled up. One of the staff even admitted they weren't great with numbers – not exactly confidence-inspiring. In the end, I gave in and covered the supposed "missing person" just to wrap things up. It was frustrating and left a sour taste, overshadowing what could've been a cracking celebration. All in all, while Cheers nails the friendly vibe and atmosphere, they seriously need to sort out their billing system sharpish. Transparency is key, folks!
