Chaus Fish & Chip in Wigan

Goodbye Chaus the new food tastes like a stagnant pond and the new sign looks like it was found in Leigh Canal

Being going to chaus longer than I can walk due to it being the closest (and best) chippy, moved further away but still travel to get our chippy from there

Won't find better chips (or bigger portions). Friendly staff and fast service.

Fish was nice but the chips were rubbish.

Opens until 9:30 pm on a Monday which is great for me. One of the latest opening times early in the week for a chip shop which does 'proper' chips. Closed on Tuesdays, and primarily does Chinese/Cantonese take away.

I have been going to this chippy since I was in my late teens and it has always maintained it's Quality, I am now 67, some people reckon it's the best chippie around.

Best Chinese in leigh in my opinion

The food isn't very good and there are two other Chinese chip shops within 600 yrds which are better.
