The food here is very good quality, and the portion sizes are very generous. The owner is really respectful towards his customers and always friendly and polite. The guys that work behind the counter tend not to respond to customers' small talk or acknowledge 'thank-you's, hellos or goodbyes', which can come across as a bit rude / arrogant at times, but in all fairness, it could be that it is too noisy behind the counter and they cant hear or they just don't understand English too well. Either way, whatever the reason, I can't fault them on the speed of service or how well they prepare the food.

Excellent local fish and chip shop, always had our fish cooked to order with plenty of chips. Serves lots of other mouth watering meals, an extensive menu.

Ordered food via Uber with a £5.00 charge. The food arrived 20mins after the latest delivery time given even after being chased up. My partner had lamb donner meat which he said was nice. The chips would have been tasty had they been hot. The sausage roll I wouldn't feed to a dog.

Probably the best fish and chips in Sittingbourne. The batter is thin and so crispy that I can eat it usually they are to doughy and cause me stomach problems. But Chaucer fish Bar is exceptional.

Found that there was a miss description of an item, a sausage roll, is not a sausage roll pie. This had been microwaved, and became very chewy. As for the chicken and mushroom pie, was just stored under hot lamps, could’ve been put in an oven or something 1st to crisp it up.

Tried all the chippies in area. This is always the best. Best fish n chips and best NON greasy kebab in towns. Used these every couple of weeks for last 7 years.

There was a long queue so was very hopeful this would be good. The order took approximately 10 mins had to wait outside due to queue and took a ticket. The fish batter was mushy and flavourless, fish looked meaty on 1st sight but was very dry and rubbery like it had been held for ages which is odd due to wait time. The chips at £5 for large portion were disgusting whole bag of bits no potato inside crunchy hard bits made my gum bleed. I've never thrown so much away. Bitterly disappointed as decent fish n chips is awesome and would make the owners a fortune.

Ordered a doner meat and chips which is what I usually have from Chaucer road. Took the paper off and the grease was unbelievable. It was smothering every bit of food including a puddle at the bottom. It was like some one had poured oil all over the box and food. Wasn’t impressed. The kids meals were nice and fresh.

Ordered a cod and chips and chicken kebab. The fish batter was soggy, almost scrambled egg texture it was that soggy. Fish was tough, and it was all cold. Chicken kebab was definitely not worth £10 - about 10 small chunks of chicken, also cold, and surprisingly lacked flavour even whilst covered in garlic sauce. Total order just shy of £30, ended up driving to the local co op to get something…

Enjoyed the food very much, was delivered very hot, small portions were actually quite large. Really happy overall. delivered within the timescale given, and was well worth the money. we will most certainly reorder from them again.

Burger buns were hard, burgers were sloppy. Wilted lettuce. Overcooked chips.
