Just had rack ribs not nice all fat who ever answered the phone not did not give a toss.

Really looked forward to Rack of Ribs & chips tonight how disappointed was I!!!! Over cooked & more fat than meat. Not one to complain but on this occasion I thought I would make them aware. Who ever answered the call wasn't the right person basically oh well nevermind at £21.50 oh I definitely did mind then he just said See Ya and put the phone down. Time to fine a New Chippie.!!!!!

Lovely place and friendly staff but let down by the cod, chips were nice, tartar sauce and curry sauce good but the fish although cooked to order didn't really have any flavour but did also look and taste of burnt!/old oil, maybe the oil was used to long before changing.. Sorry to leave a poor review but it's a honest one, we won't be back 🙁

Really disappointed and not sure if it has changed ownership as it has never been this bad! Ordered a large cod, chips and curry sauce and I have to say shrinkflation must really had hit the fishing industry hard as the size of the fish could hardly pass a medium piece. Could they have picked out the wrong piece from the fridge maybe? Curry sauce like warm at best the only best part was the chips that were cooked fresh. £17.75 later I feel Really let down but this establishment which we have been visiting for a few years. Hope it’s just a one off.

Want fish, go here! Beautiful and fresh, made to perfection!! We travel 25 minutes to get our fish and chips, why try elsewhere?! Thank you all

We have been coming to Chariots for many years and never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the service incredible. I cannot recommend enough, especially after a hard days work and running the kids around, there is no better place to come for a great meal 😋

Love this place! Great chips, amazing selection of fish and meat. The service is second to none - such a lovely bunch of people from the owners to the servers. Still yet to taste the lobster which is next on my list.

Just got chips and a gherkins piping hot lovely chips gherkins was very small

Got charged £12.90 for a £6.45 meal deal. Not answering the phone and no email address to contact. Food was good although charged almost double the price for a meal deal. I’d appreciate someone getting in touch with an email contact to address this matter.

First time eating in and was made to feel really welcome. Service was excellent as was the food. Would definitely go again whether to eat in, or takeaway.

I went in the chariots waited over 25 minutes got my food for Takaway got home now no I live 2 minutes away fish was greasy and cold would not recommend

Went in for chips and saw the fresh lobster on the range ended up staying in and feasting. Grest service. Very well cooked lobster muscles and scallops. Amazing to have such a wonderful seafood restaurant/ fish and chips shop in Gidea Park.

Trendy looking restaurant and takeaway, but above all the food was delicious. The cod crispy and could be handled without it crumbling apart, not too oily at all and above all the price is right.

This place never fails! Fresh and quality food on every visit. Takeaway with genuine restaurant quality food, or dine in with 5* friendly service and some of the best seafood available! Outstanding quality meals, impeccable service, definitely worth the visit!

Great find for Lunch . We had scampi chips and salad. It was really tasty, and fresh. Service was great, no rushing us. Good music and atmosphere.

It’s a shame to have one staff member ruin the overall view of this shop. It’s now the second time I have had an issue with the same staff member except the first time I didn’t say a thing. The man with glasses is rude, arrogant and unreasonable. As a paying customer I find this very disrespectful especially, when what it was over was nothing to another member of staff who was able to understand even offering what the man who was making a issue of for free. He was very argumentative and not professional at all……I would have loved to see how that went down if I was a man! Will never walk foot in this shop and spend my money again

So much more than Fish and Chips, great menu with more the expected selection. Food was superb from the seafood soup broth, cod loin in garlic and white wine sauce and even desert. Thoroughly impressed, excellent quality of food and the service was great.

Fish was over done. Cook needs to learn the difference between 2 words: well done and over done.I didn't enjoy eating Fish price is extremely high.

I'm quite fuzzy when it comes to food especially when it's fish but I had cod in batter here and it was amazing definitely be eating here again.

Took a chance last night that they would have a table around 7.30pm lucky enough there was. The service was quick and staff very friendly. The food was amazing marinated chicken with salad was lovely, great portions sizes. Pie mash and green vegetables great flavour great portion size. Lovely atmosphere not rushed at all. Will definitely return and will be recommending to friends and family.

Our first time of ordering through just eat. When delivered we only had one meal. Rang and spoke to restaurant and they said at first they had definitely sent 2 meals. Then agreed to resend missing one. More than an hour later it arrived. On opening it was not what we had ordered but kept it as by now was getting late. A bottle of drink doesn't make up for disappointment of not getting what I had ordered - meal I received was £4 cheaper too. Fish was delicious - service not so good. Ordered salmon with noodles and broccoli. Received grilled salmon and salad.

Nice friendly staff, very busy. Hot food, nice music 60’s music, 70’s music. Accommodating, tables laid out a presented, nice big area, well lit, had a nice water feature, outdoor sitting, when people waiting outside was offered a free glass of wine, staff were always busy, and kept clean and tidy. Close to home, never thought if come here but had a nice time with my husband and family for a celebration of the kids passing of their exams!!

AVOID THIS PLACE Nearly 2 hours for a delivery and order was missing several items. £50 plus for a family occasion spent in these times and not even an apology. When we rang the we were promised money off next time and the owner was rude. Food we did get delivered was not very nice, will not be ordering again. It's a shame as this place was nice a few years ago when we first ordered. Will not be back.

Placed an order by phone to collect. The restaurant was lined up delivery agents and it was obvious the staff couldn't cope. Got home to find some of my order was missing, and the fish was dried up and hard. Previously I had excellent quality food, but a total mix up and poor food this time. Such a shame.

Placed order at 10.30pm which was accepted. So clearly wanted the money. It's now 12.55 and Just eat shows driver heading to restaurant which is clearly closed. (Phones 4 times) Have some dignity and respect not to take the money when you clearly have no intentions off honouring the order request. How many of these orders do you accept late on a Saturday hoping it will not be followed up??

Sadly forgot my cheese and onion rings with my chicken burger but still very nice food and freshly cooked

Bought a large cod for £11 and large chips for £4.5. The portion is poorly small and not worth the price. Asked for salt and vinegar but apparently forgot. The staff was friendly in there but the food is overpriced and serve in bad portions

The best chip shop in town! 3rd time ordering here in the last 6 weeks chips are always tasty & fresh good portion size & cod is spot on & tastes good i would recommend also we ordered on a sunday as we like a sunday chippy dinner sometimes & most are shut that's how we discovered this gem👌

My family and I have a take away from here every week and it never fails to be amazing every time. The chips are always cooked the perfection and the staff are always super friendly. They even have a large seating area for dinning in if you wished too.

Expensive and plaice was very dry and batter was over kill. Chips were nice. This place is better than hilldeane chip shop, but my kids could cook better, cambourne chip shop beats this chip shop by a long shot.

Brilliant evening meal with my wife. Not many places you can get an authentic fish and chips and a lobster in the same venue! Super friendly staff, they even gave us a free dessert and drink at the end, after we got chatting to them. Would highly recommend, lively, noisy and well worth sitting in to eat.

I wanted to love this place as the food was good and the staff were friendly.... But, £52 for reg fish, chips, mushy peas and tea x2 (plus 1 coke) was very steep in my opinion. Sadly I won't be going back for that reason

Absolutely appalling service. The rider arrived at the house with the wrong order, we called the restaurant and asked for the right order to be sent and 50 minutes later we finally call them again, only for them to say that the new rider got the wrong address. So had to get it re-ordered a third time taking another 45 minutes before it finally arrived. In summary, took over 2 hours for an order which should have taken under an hour.

We order from here regularly but the last 2 orders had missing items (2 portions of chips both times). No help when I rang the shop, manager was too busy to speak to me apparently. Wil not be using again.

Really disappointing… We ordered two portions of cod and it was incredibly dry and the same can be said for the chips we ordered. Completely overcooked and left a lot to be desired.

Absolutely 5 star restaurant catered for 16 for joint birthday party. The food is 1st class would highly recommend. The staff go above and beyond. If you are local or in the area you cant beat this place for quality.

Our retirement place ordered 24 portions of fish or chicken and chips and it was delivered on time and hot. Everyone said how good it was and the chicken was huge. We did ask for tartar sauce and gherkins as an extra but they werent included in our bags. Would recommend charriots.

Food was late, food was cold, I called the shop they were rude and just kept saying it was just Eats fault, couldn't tell when it was coming, first time ordering from them and the last, not impressed at all

Heard good things and finally stopped and made an order. Very friendly chaps behind the counter. They made a big show of giving a bit extra at no additional charge. The chips are amazing. Pukka pie was good. Onion rings were okay. Mediterranean salad was limp, sweaty and brown. Quarter pounder with cheese and just lettuce was poor, took a look at the lettuce and some of it was brown. The ribs were dry, I was expecting BBQ ribs, very disappointing that the option was not given. The Cod looked so good and there were 2 small additional pieces, however the Cod was mainly batter and hollow. Feels like that we were conned with volume rather than quality. Will not give it a second chance. Wish I took pictures and posted some evidence. Merry Christmas

Definitely a good place to eat fish and chips. The fish tastes quality. Just the chips portion should be a little bit more for large.

Honestly can say, the best Skate and Chips we have ever had. Highly recommend. Friendly staff and always so happy!
