Chips are a bit floppy and undercooked and some of the lettuce on my kebab was brown and withered but the chicken was alright. Ordered from here a few times now and the portion size of the chips was better but kebab portion size wasn’t great for a large

Ordered online for collection and waited 15 minutes after original collection time for it to be ready.The ‘Ottery’ hot pizza was undercooked and lacked any heat from the spice and the undercooked pizza. The BBQ chicken pizza we had to add more sauce too. As it was so bland. The pizza based used are pre-made and very doughy, bland and undercooked. Expensive considering the quality; even with the special offer. Unfortunately not as great as the previous owners.

Chips over cooked home made chili sauce had no spice no heat definitely not a fan

Just ordered 2 mixed grill kebabs. Very plentiful and awesome charcoal flavour! Will be back in the future to progress through the menu. Recommend 😁👍

Omar is a legend, food is better than anything Ramsey could make. This place needs no introduction it simply is.

Again, great kebabs, sadly let down by very poor efforts with the salad. Steadily getting worse, ordered a mix of salad and basically got red onion. Not sure if I will try again tbh.

Firstly, I’ve gotta say to the negative comments about this place, it’s called charcoal grill and you ordered pizzas… when have you ever cooked a pizza on a charcoal grill? Order the food that comes off the grill and I’m sure you will be as happy as I am with the quality of their food. I’d imagine the only reason they serve pizzas is to try and please the locals but honestly, given the reviews of them, I’d consider parting them off and honing in on the fantastic grilled meat you guys serve. Ordered the chef grill kebab from these guys and my partner had the Doner kebab. The chef grill is fantastic, it has that genuine charcoal bbq flavour on it that I crave everytime I want a mixed kebab. You get a decent size steak with the order as well, not some small tough piece of meat so I was very happy with this. The only thing I could say, is they could Chuck the salad on the meat and let the meal be as filthy as it deserves to be. Genuinely happy with the quality of the food which believe me, is not something I say often. We discovered this amazing shop only a few months ago and we cannot be happier with the food and service, every order has been perfectly cooked and correct portions are very good! In store or over the phone they are friendly and polite, delivery is always within a good time! Highly recommended to everyone!

Did not request a free pizza gave the wrong pizza to delivery driver to take back to swap for the pizza we wanted. They left the old pizza on the step outside the door which is not only unhygienic has also left the pizza cold. Was extremely rude when we phoned up. The chips were not free we were sent chips with garlic sauce on them therefore were sent chips that were delivered as they were meant to be. Being extremely rude over message as soon as seen the review

Shocking. Ordered pizza deal 2. 2 large pizza chips and onion rings Chips turned up covered in garlic Mayo so called up and got sent new chips and gave back the chips that were previously sent. Then realised they sent the wrong pizza. Called up and got shouted at down the phone and refusing to give money back and refuses to send the correct pizza. Kids now left with no food. WILL NOT BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN. Shocking service

Came here last week after I finished work. I live in exeter but work out Cranbrook and one of my friends has been going on about this place for ages saying how good it was. I got a donner with garlic sauce and another with salad added. It's a shame it's not closer! I loved it. Meat was nice. Garlic sauce was nice. Salad was fresh and the service was great. 100% recommend!

Ordered today and I think I got someone else's order. Driver wasn't able to correct said call back later for a part refund but tbh CBA (shouldn't have to). pizza was wrong after looking as it had mushrooms no onions medium kabab not large and cheese on chips and I hate cheese on chips kabab and pizza was nice tho shame we don't know what the pizza was chips went in the bin After owner commented Nope it was 100% you as your the only kabab shop in ottery

Very good value, fresh kebabs, plus pizza, burgers etc. salad is always super freshly prepared. Nothing is too much trouble, and you can order online.

Omer makes great food, Kebabs are top notch, Pizza is great. My favourites are the burgers though. Cooking them on the grill gives them great flavour. Delivers locally too. Top marks all round.

Great food from an authentic Turkish charcoal grill kebab shop, cooking the meat over charcoal really does provide an excellent taste. Food is always freshly cooked, tastes great and arrive hot when home delivery is used.

We are new to Ottery and didn't want to cook after our day unpacking at the house, so we ordered some Shish Kababs from Charcoal Grill. Wow! these are the best kebabs ever!! we had the lamb ones and it they were cooked to perfection with generous size portions. The salad was super fresh and tasty. We added mint sauce to our order which was absolutely delicious, as you cant have lamb without mint sauce!!

Went here for kebabs, was given meat from a heated device and i would say it was warmed up from the previous night.. Tasted stale.. Won't be returning

Lovely kebabs! Highly recommended. Chicken kebabs and shish kebabs ordered and eaten - not a scrap left over, absolutely delicious! 2 of the boys had burgers which are generous and were also eaten in entirety and the fussy eater youngest had a Margherita pizza which he couldn't finish but loved. His obliging brothers happily finished it off for him, with lots of "mmm" noises. Will definitely be our go-to takeaway when we're visiting down here.

We were staying in a cottage locally and wanted a takeaway one evening. The donor kebabs were large and the donor meat was really nice with a sweet chilli sauce which was different from the chilli sauce we have at home, you could pick your salad items and we also had a portion of chips. We were happy with our takeaway.

Best kebab in the Exeter area. I have tried many but this is definitely one of the best in the area.

My son and I love to get a kebab from Omar in Ottery St Mary (we have to drive there). They are amazing. Try the mixed kebab with a bit of everything, you won’t need chips too, it’s massive. Great food, great service and lovely people serving. If you like proper meaty kebabs, you won’t be disappointed. Delicious.
