Chapman Chippy in Sandwell

Kebab was wonderful but had plain chips and they tasted bit odd but defo go here again .

Fantastic Chippy,I go here regularly with my hubby,the fish and chips are big portions,great food and great value for money, gentleman was fantastic cook and very helpful 😄

Had to wait a long time for chips to cook...and then they was just average, but they were huge portions, so can't complain.

Absolutely Disgusting Food . Very small portions and the fish was oily with thick batter to make it look larger . The pie was hard from the top .Curry sauce was watery and the chips didn’t taste good. Didn’t even give it to my Dog . Threw everything in the Bin. It’s not Chapman Chippy now .

Food was so delayed via just eat like and hour 20 mins. Insisted I cancel and pay cash. No food awful never again used to be the best chippy has it swapped ownership good luck. Deffo swapped ownership Shame best battered chips ever errrrrrrr new ownership don't seem to care

Chapman chippy used to be in Chapman street many years ago and owned by the previous owner ! After moving out the area many years ago I decided to pop in the other week and I can say that the owner & staff are very friendly and found that they give you more than value for your money with the chips compared to my area .*****

I have been coming here for years and I have been to other places but you can't beat Chapman's on price or quality best chippy in the area

1st time using this chip shop and will not be returning. Member of staff was rude and basically accused me of lying in front of other customers. Food is basic, nothing to write home about. Course in customer service is very much needed!!!!

Working 2-10 had medium mixed kebab was bostin beautiful chips

I do have a chippy closer to where I live but I love Chapmans as it great food at great prices & the service is above & beyond too. They have a wide range of fod that you find in your everyday chippy & I include the kebab rotisseries too 1 is traditional lamb & the other is of course chicken. They've not long ventured into making pizza's too. Yes I have tried one , a simple margherita aka cheese & tomato pizza , best way to tell a good pizza shop is try the basic & if that's not nice then how will the rest be !!. So the pizza I tried was very nice , freshly made , all ingredients fresh too & it.was delicious , nothing burnt around the edges & I thought it was has a great bite to it, not to soft nor too hard that you need a second go. That's not all & my favourite part .... they make & serve battered chips to order , u see them from the counter prep all the ingredients & mix it all the whole time & then they come out & fry them & if you can wait then its worth it for freshly hot cooked chips . It's the only chippy I use & they've recently won an award from JustEat , 10k customer via the JE app & add to that the foot traffic of locals & people heading toward the Hawthorns on a match day is proof that the food , service & most of all, prices are worth it.

been using this a few months beware if you have small children found small bones in the fish on 3 occasions

This chip shop is cheap compared to many others in the area. Food is fresh and hot. Weve had many things off the menu and all been edible. The large bag of chips is massive. Only downside - we always have a long wait when ordering as something needs cooking (usually chips).

Ok chips and scallops, not to expensive. Not good or bad, worth stopping if your driving past.

Best chippy in west Bromwich by far. Can place an order for regular chips or battered chips. They also deliver to the local area for a £1.

Fish is really fresh, you may have to wait 5 minutes but its worth the wait. Clean tasting cooking oil, must be regularly changed.

Arrived 2 and a half hours late !!! When arrived they forgot the kids meal so had to wait a extra 40 mins for that to arrive (food used to be nice now it’s not the best salad was all brown 🙁)

Best chippy currently going in sandwell in my eyes always on time with delivery not got my order wrong and food is good quality and not expensive at all

Nice little chip shop. I had small fish special, £3.50. There was a nice portion that wasn't over facing for the money. If I wanted to be picky I could be but I've not come across a perfect chippy. I travel all over the UK. I'll certainly call in again next time I'm in the area.

I rarely leave a review but had to in this case. The quality of the food from this place just gets better every time. The chicken and chips are beautiful and I ate far too much as it was so delicious. Highly recommend them.

Food is good but just make sure you check your change before leaving the shop. Been there several times and nothing seems to go through the till. Wouldn’t mind but don’t try to short change me.

Agree with others! Been coming here 22 years and its gone downhill since new owners! New owners the fatt guy dont give decent portions weather its kebab ir chips, he cheats u out! Also food is undercooked, i saw them put chips in fryer and than take it out in 2 mins and sent of for delivery!!!!! Id rather go to other quality chippys nearby!!!!

The fish is the best I have had for a long time, the staff are friendly and helpful.

Kebab and chips were ok however the chicken balti pie although extremely tasty wasn't heated correctly, it was cold on one side.

Guy is stingy and tight with his portions and food seems to be undercooked!!!!

My son has ordered and had food from here from here for years be it with the current owner or the previous owner. And always thought the food to be of GOOD 👍 quality having only one bad order, But the last 3-4 times of ordering and them giving a delivery time they have been late in getting the food there in the time given at one point the one order was 50mins over the given time and the others have been between 20 and 35 mins over the stated time. When you call to ask where the delivery is they say oh the driver has just left or left 5 mins since so shouldn't be long and he takes a further 5-10 mins after that. And he sometimes give attitude. On this occasion they have served up undercooked chips and missed off the S & V. On other orders you ask for small amount of the sauces and they put loads on. To say my son is not impressed goes without saying

Nice chippy. I had cod with battered chips and chicken wings the wings were very tasty and great value for money. I asked for a large portion of chips and it was a massive portion. The silver driver. Was also brilliant and very friendly. Top place 5 stars from me

Very disappointed!! Stingy with portion of food ordered medium kabab meat and chips the batterd looked like days did not look appealing when coming to eat it aswell as tasting not going there again.

Busy Black Country chippy where the chips are typical of the area, you will not be disappointed.

So stingy with there food! There portions are way too small. Last time I asked for Medium doner meat and chips the lady only gave me 1 scoop of chips and a bit of doner on top. It was way too small for it to be called Medium!!!

Hermes has now retired so no longer Chapman's. Unsure whether or not it will continue as a chip shop

Just a cone of chips. Today they had just been cooked. Other visits usually later the chips are dried up

Fish is great and fresh unlike some places, chips are not that great could do with some improvement, otherwise staff are nice, if you like your fish fresh then this is the place

I tried this Place because I had heard of it's Good Reputation over the Years but I must have picked a Bad Day because the Chips were Lousy & I Binned them!.

Kabbab you could have built a house with chicken nuggets and chips only the nuggets come and the fish is tiny and the chips are disgusting peas are like bullets
