I had a good experience at the Chaplin restaurant in Scotland. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The menu offered a nice variety, and the food was tasty and well-prepared. While it wasn’t extraordinary, everything was satisfying, and I would definitely consider returning for another meal. It’s a great spot for a relaxed dining experience.

The restaurant was empty, and they had to check to see if we could even get a table! I had the steak, it was overcooked and tasted like shoe leather. The service was extremely slow. I would not recommend this restaurant!

Your articles on Charlie Chaplain at Nairn, North Est Scotland are rather sketchy and inadequet regarding the time he and his family spent there.

The dishes are not very elaborate for a 4-star hotel. The service is not very professional, always compared to a 4-star standard. We had to ask twice for our bottle of wine which was served at the end of the meal. The restaurant was not very clean. A little disappointed with the restaurant compared to the quality of the hotel.

Beautiful glass walls & ceiling add to the pleasure of superb food. A wee warning , it gets cold in the winter!

Very dedicated staff. The food was again clear for vegetarians, but there are various choices that also taste good - that's not a given! Very tasty dessert, unfortunately there wasn't everything to order. The restaurant itself is a bit old. Unfortunately there is only a wine menu and no other drinks menu, which made the selection a bit difficult. The following day there was afternoon tea in the bar (which also replaced dinner and lunch), which was excellent, with all the typical Scottish delicacies. Not too big pieces, again vegetarian adapted. Things didn't look as good in other restaurants in the area! The bar in the evening is also pleasant, with very nice service and advice here too.

Terrible experience, didn't get to eat because we could not get anyone to explain why they were no serving food on a Friday after noon at 2:45 pm. The hotel is under new owners and the reception staff were totally unhelpful. The hotel used to be very good .

Terrible service. Took ages to be acknowledged by any member of staff. Was denied a table because the chef had not cooked enough food (on a Sunday at 12 noon!). Menu looked great. Building looked great. Service non existent. Avoid.

This review is for the “Hotel Aviemore, the apparent children’s hotel. When we arrived we were surprised at how run down the place looked and commented that the Hotel Highlands was much closer to the pool and playground. So when we checked in we asked the unmotivated receptionist whether a rebooking was possible. “No-they are fully booked and these rooms are especially for kids and are nicer and bigger” The room was a disgrace. A so-called sofa bed, with 2 metal loungers with an extremely thin mattress. No place! Bathroom extremely small. The TV was almost coming down from the ceiling and the safe was broken. At dinner we checked online the availability of the Highland Hotel (part of the whole resort) and lo and behold, more than a room with 3 good beds!! So we asked the nice lady at the reception of the Highland Hotel whether we could change. “Of course,” was the answer. So we completed the formalities and were able to enjoy our vacation. Rooms in the Highland Hotel are definitely better, but the mattresses are saggy and daily housekeeping is limited to the absolute minimum. But no matter, still worlds better! Management: as a suggestion for improvement, training for the receptionists would be beneficial; they should please not lie to the money-making customers. Pool: ok, fun with kids Soft play area: awesome! 4 floors and in good condition

We ordered samosa ,onion Bhaji, yellow daal , kadai paneer. Samosa was made from frozen pkt. Rest items were very good. The only guy on the counter was not cheerful and sad looking. But food made up for it
