Great food bigger potion than expected, generous meat in the portions and very tasty.

Excellent little find. Very authentic Indian cuisine. The lamb was really nice. Not as spicy as I’d usually have but I could have asked for more chilli. Was a little bit unsure about the menu as I’ve not ordered and the sound of 3 curries plus rice seemed a lot but just went for the single portion which meant I didn’t get to sample as many but was plenty of food.

If you like homemade Indian food this is the place for you ! x

During my recent work trip to Manchester, I had the pleasure of dining at Chappati Cafe, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. One of the standout features of this charming eatery is its incredibly fast service. Despite the bustling environment, the staff managed to serve meals promptly without compromising on quality. The taste of the food is nothing short of exceptional. I opted for the veg meal pots on both occasions, and each time, the flavors were authentic and satisfying. The portions, served in small pots, were just right for one person, making it a convenient and hearty meal. The freshness of the ingredients was evident, and there was a comforting, home-cooked essence to every bite, which is often hard to find in many restaurants. Special mention must be made of the sides, which were served fresh, fried, and sizzling hot. The crispiness and warmth of these sides added a delightful contrast to the main dishes and enhanced the overall dining experience. Affordability is another major plus for Chappati Cafe. The meals offer excellent value for money, making it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, authentic cuisine without breaking the bank. The only suggestion I have would be to introduce a variety of curries for the veg meal each day of the week. I happened to visit on consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and noticed the same curry was served both times. A rotating selection would add even more excitement and variety for returning customers. Overall, my experience at Chappati Cafe was fantastic, and I look forward to visiting again on my next trip to Manchester. The combination of fast service, great taste, and affordability, coupled with the fresh, home-cooked feel of the meals, makes it a standout dining destination.

Amazing service, the two ladies behind the register were super lovely! I went for the veg curries, sadly they were way too spicy for my palette (which is Eastern European so that makes sense) Good porion sizes too :)

My mouth started to water before we walked in this place smelt so good! Had 2 curries and a rice plus poppadoms and all delicious. Was gutted they had sold out of chai but will be coming back anyway to try out some other options. Definitely giving home made food vibes, can't believe didn't know it was here!

Chapati Cafe catered for a recent office lunch in Media City for more than 30 people. After the event I received a lot of compliments for the food. Dan at the Chapati Cafe was really communicative about the available options. I’d highly recommend. The only “negative” feedback was that there was no really mild option like a masala or korma for those that disliked spice.

Very friendly people, great prices - I paid £9 for a deep curry bowl filled with tonnes of lamb. The curry was strong and authentic, lead on top of a bed of rice. Great value, great staff - best Curry house in the area.

Excellent range of curries in small space with casual bench seats. We had chains tarkha Dahl , paneer and delicious lamb. Small bowl - generous if not too starving.

No kidding their mains are literally £1 curry pouches from the market, heated in the oven. I spent £45 on the food delivery that can be bought for £5 in a cash&carry. Don't waste your time and money. Everything going to bin

My all time favorite samosa is from chapati cafe. The chutney they serve is the top notch flavor for the samosa. I highly recommend veggies to try out here.

I organised a meal at the Media City venue for 15 friends as part of a lads weekend. The staff were so efficient, attentive and understanding. And the food, as ever, was delicious. Thank you.

Just had a fantastic lunch here. Went for lamb keema, chilli paneer and the tarka daal, all absoloutely perfect and just what I needed with a chai tea on the side! Looking forward to going again soon.

Lovely little place, great value for money and wonderful food.

Their chai is too good. When you have some cravings for snacking it's a must go. Tried their veg curry bowls as well - yumm. Their tamarind and mango chutney with the snacks is super tasty. The only drawback being no option for tea without sugar.

Good place for Indian food, gives you the home made vibe!

Great food. Went just before the England vs N Macedonia game at Old Trafford. Had the chicken curry, lamb curry and one veg with rice plus two veg samosas. Excellent taste and good value. Wish England played more at Old Trafford.

You'll see this place quiet most of the time over other places in Media City and once you taste it, it won't come as a surprise. Their curry is very bland and their dahl even worse. It's like the chef can't be bothered. And on the odd occassion they'll double fry the chips which leaves them tasting of oil. If they fixed it up I'd go more often.

Chapati Cafe is a must-visit, when i am in Salford. Their food is delicious and unpretentious, with a home-cooked feel. The staff are routinely lovely. Don't forget to have a Chai Tea, too - it puts to shame the offering of the big coffee shops. Eat here! you will not regret it.

Well what can I say. Went in today and had chicken khari chips and rice. Was quite bland and nowhere near authentic. The chapati was like card, rice was watery. Probably the worst curry I've ever had. Avoid like the plague.

Saw this little place in Media City and thought I'd give it a go. Went in and got a large box of curry and rice. The ratio of rice to curry was astounding. 80% rice and 20% curry which isn't a great ratio. The taste was average and had little to no flavour. It does look pretty and has a catchy name.

Last visted: 25th Oct 2022 Good size meal. Great for take-out and dining in. Did not have to wait long so great for lunch or a bite after work.

Totally tasteless junk. Not authentic at all. Didnt even get a thali, just some cardboard. Some of the items were finished and unavailable at 4pm in the afternoon!

Great little place for a lovely lunchtime curry. Generous portions, different currys every day. Really tasty and the meat is top notch too. Highly recommended.

Great food, had a veg curry - chickpeas with tamarind. And veg samosas with Mango chutney. Food was made in a reasonable time and was piping hot and burning my mouth. 🤤 Service is good too. Tables need a bit of a clean ... Otherwise 5 stars

Got taken here as recommended as a great place for an Indian lunch. Had the chilli chicken and rice and it was very tasty. Nicely cooked and came in a cardboard bowl with plastic lid. Very good.

Little hidden gem with a simple mix & match curry menu that can be enjoyed at the table or as a takeaway. We loved the spicy chai that pairs up beautifully with the hot veg and meat curries (we think they make them hotter up north anyway :). One to remember for next time we visit.

Have tried this twice. Not having any problems so far. Staff are nice and friendly. Prices are decent.

Great authentic curries, good value for money, fast service.

A good little spot in the heart of media city. Good selection of daily cooked curries and appetisers. I got the 3 curry's and a rice pot for £7.50 The curry's I got were chicken jalfrezi lamb keema tarka daal with sauces chillies. It was pretty good Tasted fresh and not to spicy at all. Prices are competitive compared to other places. Daily specials are also available

Quite disappointed actually. Found the food surprisingly bland, couldn't taste any salt whatsoever. The nicest part of the meal was the starters. The staff is nice too. Won't be coming back. It will be my tried and tested Rice and 3 curries in Mcr City Centre from now on.

Had a hortible experience today after taking a nice takeaway yesterday on friday . Felt cheated . Lousy food on saturday . Beware it depends on who has cooked on that day. Dry , rubbery , stale looking chapatis . 3 curries dumped on 3/ 4 rice in one container . Different price for seperate co ntainers and not mentioned in their display or menu . Neither house salad as advertised but only a tiny chillie . Amount was of one container curry and charged for 3 veg containers . Looks cheap but on certain days duped too . Went home to find a single container with 2/3 rice and 1/3 curry ( 3 curries). Had similar experievce 1 month after opening . Will not go as felt cheated .

The staff were friendly and welcoming at all times although the cooking was exceptionally slow. The Three Curries dish was very tasty, however, the chapati bread I ordered turned out to be a tortilla wrap which was both a surprise & disappointing. The Chapati Cafe was good, but it could be great.

Food is so good and quick !! And well priced !! Cheaper if you go vegetarian too!!!

Pretty bland and disappointing. I hear the one in Chorlton is pretty good so was unpleasantly surprised. Won’t rush back.

My son. Took.me there for lunch today as he has.previously been.after it first opened. .I. had the three curries. With fries instead of rice..the food was outstanding. .I had the lamb with spinach the chicken madras..it was all freshly made..and I wold definitely recommend it .

Amazing food. We bought a mixed family deal for two and we had enough for 4 meals. Relatively easy to order on the app/ website. Great customer service. Will be ordering again.
