El queso era súper seguro, bastante genérico y de sabor sutil. La mermelada que acompaña se serviría mejor con un brie o un camembert, pero superó por completo el comte ligero.El Champaign era demasiado dulce, me cubría los dientes con azúcar y no sabía nada a Champaign. Si soy sincero, estoy bastante seguro de que estábamos bebiendo Prosecco.Los tamaños de las porciones eran minúsculos y mucho más pequeños de lo que cabría esperar de una tabla de quesos. Con la excepción de la mermelada (que abundaba en el plato), no había otros acompañamientos.El menú estaba confundido, el queso se vendía 3 por uno, 9. 50 para tres y 15 para cinco. ¡Parece un poco inusual imponer un recargo por pedidos más grandes!Para colmo, el servicio fue horrible. Con cuatro miembros del personal detrás de la barra y nosotros sentados en una de las dos mesas, todavía tenía que sacar nuestros cuchillos y amigos de una mesa vacía después de servir el queso.Lo más extraño de todo es que este lugar tiene muchas buenas críticas, lo que contrasta completamente con mi experiencia, la cantidad de personas en el restaurante (dos parejas el viernes por la noche) y la disponibilidad de mesas para reservar (es decir, cuando lo desee uno) .

We stopped by for a bite after the cinema. There is a great selection of delicious cheeses and charcuterie; service is good. My only quibble is around the drinks. The clue is in the title - there is a good selection of champagne, but the choice of other drinks is limited. We drank red wine. There is only one on the menu, which is a bit odd for a place selling cheese. It was a perfectly decent wine but it wasn’t cheap. For that price I would expect a better wine.

Vinimos por primera vez en este bar Champagne hace 6 meses y volvimos ayer. Podemos decir que la bienvenida realmente ha cambiado en el buen sentido. Morgan, el camarero, tiene poco cuidado, siempre sonriendo. La comida es muy sabrosa y la buena relación calidad-precio es en gran medida rentable. Volveremos a ese lugar, sin duda.

Haven't been in a while as so many options in Brixton but really enjoyed it as a change. Staff were lovely and knowledgable about all the yummy cheeses. Nice treat to toast a friends engagement.

¡Esta encantadora tienda de quesos franceses cuenta con una amplia variedad de charcutería, caracoles y champán! El personal es servicial y alegre. Teníamos un encantador champán Pertois y los dos quesos, dos platos de carne que se servían en una tabla de cortar tradicional. Fue perfecto para una parada de mediodía.

Este es realmente un restaurante que juega a sus puntos fuertes. Increíbles quesos, hermosas carnes curadas y fabuloso champán (¡aunque teníamos el nuestro en cócteles mojito!).

...in a great 'pop-up' style market area. Champagne was great - and from boutique estates - as were the Champagne cocktails. The cheese was outstanding; we had asked them to make a selection for us, and we were very happy we had done so! And the service was very friendly! Would definitely pay them another visit when I'm back in Brixton.

The house champagne is just £8 a glass and very drinkable. We sat outside. The market was not busy on a Thursday evening. The service was functional.

Loved that they had 50% off on the champagne when we were there. The cheese was good and the champagne amazing. The only minus was that it was cold and service a bit slow at times. But overall a good experience!

I came here on a sunny Sunday afternoon to meet a friend who was visiting from Australia. What is not to love, great wine, beautiful cheeses and an ability to sit and people watch those walking around the market! I cannot think of a nicer way to spend a lazy Sunday!

Fui hoy para mi cumpleaños con la familia y amigos. Teníamos Mont d'o plato con una botella de champán, servido en vasos realmente elegante. Es encantador y acogedor así como ecléctico. Ten en Mont d'Or lleva 25 minutos para preparar, pero merece la pena la espera. El plato tenía jamón pan francés, Super, pepinillos, ensalada junto con la hermosa Camembert. Mucho para el 4 de nosotros comprobar matinee Theatre. Un día maravilloso durante todo- sin duda re-visitar este restaurante.

Es un sitio muy pequeño y recoleto, está dentro del mercado y es ideal para hacer un alto en el camino y reponer fuerzas.

Had been to the Covent Garden one but this branch has a much cosier feel. Had no idea Brixton village had little gems like this. No good for a 'serious' meal but wonderful for pre dinner or lunch. The tomme de savoie cheese mmmmmmmm.

The restaurant is really small and it feels a bit cold inside while you're eating (but there are some blankets available if you feel to use them).The food was good but a bit overpriced for the proportions. We had a diner for 2, 1 dish to share (soma charcuteries with bread), and 2 baked camembert with a jug of the house red wine, and the total of the bill was 52£.The service was really friendly and really fast so i would recommend this restaurant, they just should change the size of the dishes. I would come back though!

Champagne+Fromage is my go to pit stop whenever I visit Brixton Village. It has an amazing ambience: friendly staff, tasty platters of cheeses and meats and, of course, a glass or three of bubbly. Oh and their tapenade is delicious too. On a chilly day cosy up in a throw - there is always one on the back of your chair, and watch the world go by. Can't wait to go back.

I had lunch with a friend yesterday at C+F and we simply loved it. It was a quiet day in the village so it was just us. The space is very small but comfortable and charming at the same time. They offer only one red wine so we went for it. They picked a winner! It was rich and full of body and went well with all the spreads and cheeses we devoured. We started with a selection of spreads and fresh bread and they punched with flavour. We went on to have baked Camembert stuffed with a fig paste and we simply couldn't get enough. We shared a raclette plate that didn't disappoint either. The service was top notch and very friendly. We had to run so didn't get to sample desserts so I am going back soon to see what we missed. A great place to have a catch up and enjoy some decadent dainties with some great wines!

Stumbled across this cute deli/bar/restaurant whilst looking for somewhere to eat in Brixton with a friend. As we walked by we noticed the sign saying '50% off Champagne Tuesday-Friday (don't quote me on that) 5-7pm' which was on offer we felt we couldn't refuse! Fair to say it was an excellent decision as the champagne was delicious (roughly £15 each) and we couldn't resist a bit of Camembert which was equally delicious. The service was fab and it's a great spot to relax for an hour or so people watching! Would definitely recommend.

We bought tickets online for one of Champagne + Fromage's Cheese Evenings. We had such a fantastic time and would recommend it to anyone! Our host Bastien was incredible friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The accent also added some authenticity ! We let us choose 6 cheeses for the very vast range of cheese they have on offer there. He gave us recommendations too and knew all about the different cheese, where they were from etc and was able to accommodate all our suggestions and help us choose some cheeses we had never tried before. He then took us through each one telling us about it, letting us try it and then we tried each time to cut a 30g slice to then go onto our cheese boards!We then all got to use the cut up cheeses to make our own cheese boards. We were also given some chutney, quince, grapes, french stick and of course a glass of champagne each to enjoy our cheese boards with.Bastien even emailed us afterwards to send us the names of all the cheeses we had tried and lots of photos of our evening.Overall, a fantastic experience. Would recommend to all cheese for a fun evening out with as much cheese as you could ever want to eat!Thanks!

We popped into here for a quick lunch a couple of weekends ago. We ordered the Mont d'or sharing fondue and had a beer and a champagne cocktail. The food took a while to come but we were forwarned. However our waiter did forget to bring us the olives we ordered :(. When the food came, it was delicious!! The portion size was perfect for two. A great spot for cheese lovers. Will visit again.

We called in for an early lunch on a complete whim after walking around the brilliant Brixton Market.... my wife and my son shared a hot "dipping" Brie and I had 12 wonderfully garlic Escargot.... a dish that I have not had for a very long time and they were excellent.... we sat outside in November with comfortable cushions and blankets provided watching the world go by. Great and unusual "Brunch"!

Lovely sharing boards which contain of cheese, bread and etc, great drinks such as red wine, white wine, and a great choice of champagnes. The atmosphere makes it all - a tiny place with some French details and sweet romance in the air. Great for a date!

This is simply the best place in Brixton, south London, probably in the whole galaxy. The champagne is exquisite, I particularly recommend the Colin Blanche de Castille. Corsican cured meat for my half ... She said it does not get any better!!! I've tried the duck confit and for anyone who has already tasted that dish i recommend to try it here - on top of that it is very well priced (only £10!!!) Real home made champagne sorbet to finish!!!!The staff is just exceptionally friendly, very knowledgeable and seems really getting on together. The grumpy old Frenchman - sorry :-) making my duck crispy with a cheeky smile and a real attention to detail. the two young man serving us - one was I think was called Vasim they deserve an Oscar for the waiters of the year. Guys thank you so much for the evening, please do not change anything! We definitely come back and if we're getting married we rent the place!!!

Visited the Covent Garden branch many times and decided to have a go at this one in Brixton.Upon arrival we were greeted by a waiter eating behind the bar, we asked for the menu he pointed at the menu at the cart outside the restaurant, after looking at it we decided to sit outside and have a sharing board, a bottle of wine and the duck confit, everything was really amazing but the service.After finished everything we decided to have a pudding, caneles and chocolate fondant, the caneles were good but the chocolate fondant was overcooked and hard, this was replaced after we mentioned.It's such a nice little place but it does need a lot of tlc. The Covent Garden branch is amazing!

Typical French cheese and charcuterie type place, we had a couple of sharing boards and the quality of the cuts was excellent. Only thing was, perhaps to be expected, it was all rather salty. They also don't have any gluten free option instead of the bread but they offered to bring out extra vegetables however they never showed. The biggest hit was the baked Camembert- garlicky cheesey heaven. Excellent range of Champagne cocktails, we had two rounds to quench the salt induced thirst, but we sat with empty glasses for quite a while, they were quite slow on coming to us and we had to flag them over a few times, including for the bill (despite it not being that busy). The bill came and we all fell off our seats in shock, turned out a bit pricey for what it was, considering it's deli snacks while sat in Brixton market. I guess those cocktails all add up!!

I have been to this place before when it was super quiet and the service was average. I visited a second time in July with 5 other friends - it wasn't a bustling Saturday afternoon, maybe three other tables of champagne quaffing - the service was BELOW average, one of our party arrived ten minutes after us and couldn't even get anyone's attention to order a drink - at £9 a glass (average price), you would think the staff would be on it - they weren't! So the rest of the party drank their drinks and we left, my friend never got to order.So I suggest the staff get a minimum of 8 hours sleep so they can remove the mist from their eyes and actually see the customers that need serving :) We didn't leave a tip ....

The closest place you can find to Paris without getting on Eurostart is in the Brixton Village. We went there on a Friday afternoon before theatre. They offer an extended selection of french cheese and of course champagne. They also do fondue but not in the summer which is fair enough. This is a rather expensive choice for tea in Brixton Village but it is worth the money if you wish to celebrate love or any other special occasion.

Took my Mum here for afternoon tea; food was amazing with a never ending supply of cheese and macaroons, lovely champagne too, all for a very reasonable price. The staff were absolutely lovely too....will definitely be back soon!

My daughter treated me to an afternoon tea yesterday. Loved the champagne and wonderful selection of cheeses. Generous portions and beautifully presented. Could not manage the delicious macaroons so these were packaged up for us to take home.The service was friendly and cheerful. Would definitely visit again with family and friends.

What else can I say? Great atmosphere, great food, great staff! A 50% discount on all the bottles between 5pm and 7pm, no need to say that we left the restaurant in a good mood =)

Arrived tonight just after my friends did. It was so obvious to the waitress I arrived that I assumed she would come over. She didn't. Tried to get her attention and she kept looking away so I got up and asked her for a menu and she just forced it into my hand. I say down, decided what I wanted and she didn't come over for twenty minutes even though she didn't appear to be doing much. So we all left and didn't tip. If you want expensive champagne and miserable service (or no service) come here!

We've been to champagne et fromage a couple of times and it does exactly what it says on the tin. the cheese and meats are excellent, and the champagne also great though not (at all) cheap (and very calorie-heavy). The main issue for me is competing sound systems between champagne+fromage and one of the neighbouring bars. Not sure why they can't just agree to listen to the music from next door. The sound clash was irritating and would put me off going again.

Visited on a Friday night in winter and sat inside, although it got a bit chilly as the night wore on.Excellent atmosphere in the market/village on a Friday night with lots of places to eat and some music too. All the restaurants are small and having seating inside and out.Started with a champagne cocktail and then went on to the (only) red wine choice - but no complaints at all.Ate confit of duck (completely delicious), baked camembert and a charcuterie board. It was all really tasty and I would highly recommend. The staff were very nice and helpful. The only negative is that on the night we visited the coffee machine wasn't working.I'd like to return in the summer.

It's a charming and cozy little restaurant! We absolutely adored their selection of cheese, wine and beers! Relatively cheap and excellent quality! We will definitely visit it again soon!

Absolutely love this place and keep coming back. Great selection of champagne which is relatively inexpensive for what it is (it's champagne in the end!). Huge selection of cheeses - always end up with 7-8 on a cheese board. The cheese boards they put together are very pretty and huge! Very good value for money! Lovely personnel and great service!

The food is simply the best. Fabulous cheeses washed down with great champagne. I will DEFO be returning. This is such an unusual restaurant serving everything I love.

Such a great little spot, a really classy gem in the bustling Brixton Village market. The food was top class, every little detail included, and obviously the champagne was great. The service was a bonus, the staff were really accommodating and friendly, and their recommendations were excellent and really added to the experience. Thanks a lot, will be back soon!

Does what it says on the tin! Varied menu of champagne (£45-£86) and champagne cocktails (£8-9.5)- not the cheapest but it is champers.. However the food is very well priced and tasty- mainly consists of cheeses, charcuterie and tartines (open French bread sandwich) more for nibbles and drinks than a full meal. The baked Camembert is highly recommended (£6.5 and could serve 2-4). Lovely authentic delicatessen style setting (not big at all so you may have to wait for a table and not good for large parties). Would recommend for celebratory drinks with nibbles.

Set in the Granville Arcade this little cafe/bar is great fun and makes a cosy place to meet friends. Good Champagnes from £8 per glass and lovely charcuterie and baked cheeses from £5.95. Eaten there twice and enjoyed it both times. I used to work in Brixton many years ago and this palce used to be a caribbean grocery store , who would have thought it would ever be a champagne and cheese place ! How Brixton has changed!

Friday night, only an hour till we're due at the gig. We don't eat standing up and we don't eat fast food garbage. Not a problem. This is Brixton. The market is stacked full of great looking fun but satisfying places and this must be one of the best. Charcuterie, Tartines, Snails, excellent bread. Friendly fast service and a lovely atmosphere saw us fed, watered and on our way in an hour as satisfied as 2/3 hours in a gastro temple. This place is a find.

The service is incredibly good, the quality of the food very high, and I had one of the best Pain au Chocolates in my life. If not the best. I'll be back. Thank you!

We head to brixton village hunting for a cute place to eat..we suddenly went for this and couldn't choose any better.The food was so incredibly tasty, freshly prepared and really superior quality.we HAd the backed camembert with Truffle and...OH MY GOD ...that was a fromage dream!! we also had 1/2 sausicion wild boar...and once again..perfection, cutted so thin that was melting in our mouths...and the tartines..just chose one and you won't be disappointed!What I expecially enjoyed was the bread coming with each plate...and the prices..so reasonably fair!! 10 points on 10!!

Being a beer drinking, pie& mash kind of girl I've resisted this place! When my mate came to visit I gave in & booked....knowing that the fizz & cheese combo would be heaven to her. Really enjoyed it. Good champagne cocktails, strong stinky cheese. Beautiful cured meats. Friendly service.

I spent a pleasant evening here. We had fun deciding which champagne to try from the very long list then matched it with a selection of food from the many choices on the menu. The Mont d'Or platter of melted cheese with ham, potatoes, bread and salad was a definite highlight with plenty to share between three. The half saucisson portions are generous and the pick your own cheese platters are a great way to try what's on offer.Service from Bastien was attentive and helpful. I'd recommend this for a Friday evening treat. Get there early!

Visited with three female friends for our annual catch-up. Plenty of choice for both food and wine and we all liked the atmospheres.We ordered the duo platters, but perhaps not the best choice as there was more salami than cheese. As we had ordered two platters, they kindly varied the cheeses from the days selection so that we could taste four different ones. They also brought out some more bread when we requested it.The service was not particularly good - we had to ask twice for water and the young waitress did not really understand our order at first.

It isn't possible to fault this place. The drinks choice is fantastic, successfully keeping things very British, which helps to add to the slightly kitsch yet rustic feel. Although a little pricey (although what else would you expect!), there's both fizz and wine on offer – and despite the name, it's worth also trying out the red!The food too is pretty scrum and well priced, sitting perfectly with your choice of drink. Decor makes the venue stand out from other restaurants in the area (which is incredibly hard given the Village is so good), and the staff are super friendly.

In the middle of Brixton Village, this little shop is a part of France, with a selection of cheeses and charcuterie absolutely fabulous. Basically we drink red wine with that but with champagne is so fancy. A really French Touch that we take again and again!

Went for dinner with a friend to recreate a trip to Paris and we weren't disappointed. We had the daily special champagne which was lovely and were really impressed with the selection of meats and cheeses. Great to be able to make your own cheese board and so only pay for the amount you eat. Really reasonable, great friendly staff and all in all a fab night out.

Lovely, laid back atmosphere, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, and most importantly, the tastiest cheese I've ever tried! We were at their champagne and cheese tasting evening, a great way to try a variety of cheeses and to learn more about champagne. A really nice evening, looking forward to going back soon!

Divine cheese and meat board, tasty champagne - my favourites! Quirky place, just a few seats and kind of open air but you're emerged in the Brixton hustle and bustle which is exciting.

My favourite place to wine and dine in London!! I cannot compliment Champagne and Fromage enough! Delightful atmosphere, wonderful and attentive staff, cute little blankets, very reasonably priced menu and delicious champagne. Keep doing what you're doing - faultless!!

È' un locale davvero originale, un po' salumeria, un po' ristorante, un po' enoteca ed altro ancora. Stuzzichini di salumi, formaggi, lumache e quant'altro sorseggiando ottimo Champagne a partire da 8 sterline al flûte. Tutti piatti ottimi, ingredienti ricercati e prezzi medio bassi. Two of my favourite things combined in one restaurant - what's not to love?! Cute decor, cute waiters (French too) and great meat and cheese boards (we had the duo for £12 - perfect for 2 people). We went on a chilly night and wrapped up in their blankets. Highly recommend!

This place is quickly becoming one of my favourite pre-film spots! Who doesn't love amazing cheese, meats and wicked champagne at a pretty good price? The staff are really attentive and friendly. Also they take card payments, a rarity in Brixton Village. I will be back for sure!

I went to Champagne & Fromage in Brixton Village for my birthday and it was simply fab. They don't take reservations so its a case of rock up and wait. We went on a Saturday late afternoon and thankfully got a table for 5 outside pretty quickly. The waitress was efficient and attentive, happy to answer all questions and offer recommendations. We all had a meat and cheese platter each and the variety and portions were amazing and great value for money, almost too much food for one person. We also had a bottle of champagne between us and a cocktail each, overall spending less the £30 each. Highly recommended and will return :)

The entire Brixton Village experience is amazing with so much to choose from and such a buzz going on on. Champagne + Fromage is just what it says, good range of champagne at reasonable prices and some brilliant cheeses. The cheese board we had was truly excellent. Some people have said this place is expensive. It is when you drink lots of champagne. The cheese isn't expensive. So it's your own choice. But service was efficient and friendly and all in all, a great evening.

I found this place expensive as the experience was average: there was no wine at all available on that day; I know that it mainly sells champagne but no alternative available.One of my friends decided to order one of the specials of the day... Again it was not available!?As to the portions they are too small for being your main meal of the day, so it is perfect if you want a snack tapas style with your champagne.When we paid we wanted to round the amount but the waiter asked us to pay to the nearest penny as requested by the manager... Shame as we did not leave a tip...

This is my 3rd time here, I always come here when I visit in London!!Baked Camembert is so good....Nice and friendly people working.I come alone,But I am relax and enjoy for meal and tea!Very interesting shop in the village as well, So Mixed culture!! Like small trip!Thank you very much for great meal !!! I will come back again next year!

Visited midweek and enjoyed both the food and ambiance. However, very disappointed that the limited Wine List is vague as to the wine being offered. There is no description as to the wine or vineyard. We asked for a Malbec and were given a very basic Vin De Pays and charged £29. At those prices, they need to seriously think about the quality of wines provided.Food was fine, We had a specials charcuterie / cheeses board, some Tartines and finished with some macaroons. Had it not been for what i consider a rip-off on the wine, I would have rated it higher

Great for a day time tipple (and even better for a late night one!). Loved the blankets to keep you cosy. I didn't sample the cheeses so can't comment, but a glass of bubbles with some macaroons was absolutely perfect!
