I visted with my fiancee at restaurant to make some memorable day as it was rose day. The restaurant fell short of expectations. Service was slow, and the staff seemed indifferent. The food lacked flavor and freshness, leaving a lot to be desired. Overall, a disappointing dining experience that I wouldn't recommend.

I went here for brunch with my family and we had the Desi breakfast with chai. The Breakfast was a a very large portion, and everything was delicious particularly the Keema and chana. The tea was perfect as they gave us 50:50 chai ( mix of no added sugar and chai with sugar ). Would definitely go again and recommend

Fantastic food with authentic taste. Prish served us and explained the menu thoroughly. Food was amazing we tried the Desi Thaali for breakfast which is good for 2-3 people sharing. One of the only places that do half /half sweet/ sugar free karak. I Will definitely be coming again. Excellent value for money as portion sizes are generous

Great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Must try their speciality dish "Butter Chicken". Generous proportions for the price you pay. I'm not really a chai person, but their House chai ( Karak chai ) is amazing. Seating capacity for at least 30+ guests. Can reserve a table but phone ahead for large groups. Eat in or take away. so impressed by chai green! i normally go to chaiwalla but consider me switched! the restaurant is so nice and clean with lovely decor. the staff are helpful and friendly but most importantly the food is absolutely amazing! great prices and lots of flavours. i got the chicken toastie and my family got the halwa puri and both were delicious.

Foods and environment are really amazing. Most importantly the people who works here are really very good and honest. Last night (29.11.2023) I have lost my mobile phone in their shop, I wasn't sure where I lost it, but for checking I came back and the restaurant was closed. Next day morning when I go to their restaurant and tell them about the incident, then they've asked some security questions to ensure that is it my phone then gave me the mobile phone. I found that they kept it safely. I would say that for food and honesty we can rely on them.

I made a purchase on Uber Eats, and the amount I had to pay for a chai and momos was surprisingly high. The momos were disappointing – essentially a kebab roll encased in a chewy layer of flour that falls apart when picked up. I won't be ordering this again; I can't even give it one star for the momos. The chai was acceptable for a star rating, but it was on the pricey side.

We regularly go there and they take the order at the table. I went there today and was not happy as the lady was asking customers to go and order at the counter. Food is lovely, I was actually talking about how good service was before I went there today. May be its just one member of staff being lazy. I can't complain about all the other staff who work there.

Bit of a shame really. Was hoping to try some of their bubble tea, however they were out of an ingredient and went to the shops to buy it. After waiting maybe 10-15 minutes total I unfortunately had to leave, as otherwise I'd risk missing my train. My server seemed nice enough and it certainly was not her fault, but I question the quality of service in general if they don't have stock prepared for some of the first customers of the day (what i assume was milk?)

I ordered 4 house teas that all had bits inside them, She said it was due to being the last bit of tea in the pot (shouldn't have given to customers then) - They are selling cosco doughnuts for £1.50 each. Get the whole box for £5.99 at cosco. What a joke.

I recently visited chai green with my husband where the customer service, especially from Nabah, was outstanding! The shop owners also have great taste in music, creating a wonderful atmosphere. 🎵🍵 P.S the milk bubble tea slaps 😍

A friendly place with Chai tea ro die for.

Desserts were very over-priced for what they were! Friend and I wanted to go out late for coffee/cake and a chin wag. Unfortunately, I didn't check the prices of what were getting...my error. We ordered 2 large House Chai £6, a Pistachio Milk Cake £6.45 and a Luxury Pistachio Cake £5.99. Total £18.44. The Chai was nice, BUT the desserts were very sub standard. My friend had the Milk Cake which she said was soggy like wet cereal...it is not a true Tres Leches Cake, just a really bad rip off. I had the Luxury Cake. There was nothing luxurious about it. It was dry and just tasted fake. Starbucks Chai Latte and a muffin would have been more satisfying!

Fantastic for families! Really enjoyed the food.

This afternoon I spent around 2hours in Chai Green, the whole time the young man behind the bar was constantly answering phone calls, laughing away with no acknowledgment to customers. When paying he kept his friend on FaceTime with the phone faced up for us to see and volume on loud for everyone to hear. However whilst this was happening I couldn’t fault the other server Jess, she was attentive and just lovely to talk to. She was constantly seating people down, taking orders, making drinks, restocking glassware and bringing the food out on her own whilst never breaking her smile and making it all seem so easy. But the place was busy and obviously she could’ve used a hand. The food was exceptional, and because of Jess’s warm welcome I can’t wait to return!

Just one complaint, plates were cold! so food was cold before we finished,never serve with cold plates 🤷

I have never been more impressed! I have been here twice now with friends for breakfast and it's honestly been such a great experience! The staff are lovely and helpful, cannot fault them for their politeness and attentiveness to delivering an exceptional service! I ordered a samosa chaat and it was the best samosa chaat I've ever had!! I was so impressed! I love samosa chaat so I was quite dubious but they really knocked it out of the park! Service was lovely and the tea was gorgeous as usual! Can't wait to go back!

Highly recommended – 10/10! Chai Green is a cozy and vibrant spot. The menu is thoughtfully put together, catering to a broad range of tastes, whether it’s an English breakfast or traditional Desi food. We absolutely love this place it has nice decor we had our 3rd visit today the food was superb one of the staff named Anju was very sweet and polite. I would recommend this place to people who like to have desi style food with a twist, their mocktails, Karak chai is very nice too.

A culinary delight! Love love love this place! Open the doors of what you expect to be another eatery on Albany rd and you are immediately transported into a beautiful, serene secret garden where you are greeted with big smiles and out of this world food! We were a rather large group including hungry, picky children, and staff handled all seamlessly. Between us we tried almost everything. Food is a wonderful twist on classics ranging from halwa puri and butter chicken to papri chaat. The chai alone deserves a visit, robust and rich without being bitter. There is a kids menu that kept the little ones happy. The best part for the health conscious, despite all this feasting there was no buyers remorse, nothing was overly greasy, sweet or overpowering. Fabulous experience !

Good chai, on par with competition in the area. However, Frankie roll was disappointing. It was effectively a toasted tortilla 🌯 although the flavours and spicing of the mince was good. Not great value for money. Pricing seemed odd, slice of cakes for £5.99 seem very steep when local bakeries and cafe charge almost half that.

Nice spot on a busy road of Cardiff. Delightful (albeit slightly pricey) menu that focuses on the display of food as much as it tastes. Thankfully it does taste good even if its not always piping hot as it should be (hmmm) 🤨. But in the several outings here the staff have always been pleasant even if one hasn't fully been able to understand what I wanted but got there in the end. Good atmosphere and great for a tea, of which they have a delightful range especially the karak and pink. Exquisite food names and twists on some popular dishes. Yes, worth dropping into. The background music is kept reasonably low so you can have a decent conversation. Decor is on point but it does look like a formula rather than organic design. Overall, really nice joint that serve tea, snacks and even half decent, halal , fusion flavour dishes. But they are not a traditional restaurant. It's more of a cafe with a number of uniquely flavoured main dishes. I mean, ninja fries. You gotta try them. Who needs another run of the mill restaurant anyway?

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the food at this restaurant and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed! I ordered the Dynamite Chicken, Chaat Platter, and two types of chai - house chai and Kashmiri pink chai. Starting with the Dynamite Chicken, although the chicken was a little dry, it tasted amazing with the spicy sauce that accompanied it. The dish was presented in a huge martini glass which was eye-catching and definitely added to the overall experience. Moving on to the Chaat Platter, I must say that it tasted heavenly! The green and tamarind chutney blended well with the dahi, and the chole masala was very tasty. The chaats were presented well on a big plate, which added to the overall aesthetic of the dish. Both types of chai that I tried were delicious with spices, and I particularly enjoyed the Kashmiri pink chai. The service was excellent - it was very fast and efficient. Our server, Prisha, was very polite, kind and helpful, and even recommended some of their specialities. Great work! Overall, I would say that this restaurant is definitely worth visiting. I will certainly be coming back again soon. Highly recommended!

It was my first visit. Hygiene was impressive. Rather friendly and welcoming staff specially this girl, I forgot her name, seemed Asian was very nice and sweet. Food was delicious and interior was cosy and well lit. Toilet was nicely clean and overall experience was wonderful. I’m leaving 5 star because of their staff and look forward to go there again.

New Chai shop open in Cardiff. Completely different to some other competitors near buy. A good drinks and desert menu. Not much of a choice for savoury items. Definitely worth a visit if you want to try something different.

I would rate it 4.5/5. Loved the ambiance, the service quality, the professional presentation of the staff. Tried Mixed mince nachos which was suggested by one of the staff and really enjoyed the dish, liked the shawarma and fruit bubble tea. Visited for the first time yesterday, along with my friends. Seated and served by the very pretty blonde waitress who when asked gave us a range of recommendations for drinks and food. We went with the mango bubble tea, and the rose milk bubble tea. Both very nice. For food we had the chicken ninja fries, chaat explosion, and the Papri chaat. Her recommendations did not disappoint, food was exceptional and we will be returning very soon.

Thought I'd make the trip down to restaurant and just from the outside alone it couldn't be more inviting. Staff had a warm welcoming energy about them and service was amazing. Food was so good I completely forgot to take pictures and I mean the food was spot on, with awesome twists on Asian cuisine and even better deserts I'd say it's a must visit location.

Took the family out for dinner as I’ve been hearing amazing things about Chai Green…and honestly it has matched up the hype!! The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was 10/10!! We tried the fries platter (the chai green fries were my fave), the Tikki chicken burger, butter chicken curry bowl with paratha and chicken sharwarma. The food was spectacular and the mocktails were super refreshing!! If you haven’t been to Chai Green yet, you’re missing out!!
