We hired this company to do catering for my brothers wedding. My brother is severely allergic to nuts so right from the start we said do not bring nuts at all! They did the opposite. They served nuts in the dessert and my brother had to leave. This could have been such a bad situation and he could have lost his life. I tried contacting the company. After speaking to them once they've ignored my email and phone calls. Literally so angry and disgusted. They laughed saying there was no such thing as a sever nut allergy. I've requested a refund for that event and they haven't come back to me. Really poor service it's almost like they don't care at all.

Horrible service, the person at the till was rude while taking the order and also has shown attitude which was frustrating and on top of that she delivered order of a customer who came and order after I ordered ...when asked why I am not served firsst, this person lied saying that the customer had ordered over phone - which was wrong because the customer entered the shop after I did and she asked (in Hindi) the person to serve her first even though i was waiting... the person said that there are customers waiting for their orders and asked the customer to wait ...but delivered and lied thinking that I do not know Hindi.... and later she started to argue... horrible experience....

Bought food few times, worst food ever. Once bought pakoras and they were mouldy. I called the shop and the lady was very rude and was not convinced. I wrote a complaint to local council and waiting for reply. Another item was samosas and spring rolls and they were undercooked and soaked in oil. This shop sells terrible unhealthy food and worst customer care ever. Very rude. It’s completely waste of money and time.

The lady who makes samosas didn’t wash hands after using toilet. When I asked sweared at me . I said can I speak to manager in Slough branch, said nobody’s here if u want to order otherwise go from here. Never felt so insulted I said she should apologise, refused to say sorry as I called her rude she said 1st. Manager later on phone when I called again n again said sorry on her behalf as she kept picking phone n refused to pass call to anyone else , manager kept saying she’s a nice lady 6 times. Not educated or trained very cheaply hired staff. She was only speaking Punjabi n kept saying she understands English n Hindi both. Unhygienic

we placed an order for my cousin’s engagement. We were so happy. We went to pick up the order but that lady who was serving us she was so rude. We asked for the extra chutney and we will pay for that but she goes like “why don’t you trust me i said this amount of chutney is fine. You don’t need more”. I was shocked and surprised how we want something and she was saying we should trust her estimation for our food. As she knows how many people are coming there and what other food we order.

Recently attended a party there the food was a buffet style. The papri chaat was a let down. No presentation of the chaat what so ever. When I questioned the staff they in turn questioned me as to why I was asking about it. It looked like mashed potato and the manager advised this was because of the refill. This was not the case but the staff just threw it all in the bowl and missed it to serve up as slop.

The staff is very rude. I believe they are more interested to serve customers who place big orders. If you go there to buy few items, they will never treat you properly. You will feel like you have made a mistake by going. I liked their samosa's but being they will always crib and will always tell you to bring exact change if you want to buy lesser quantity. Even if you buy larger quality they will avoid to take card payment and will make silly excuses. So I've decided not to go to this place or recommend anyone to go there.

One of the worst places I’ve ever been to in terms of service. The food is to the quality. However, if you expect a smile and basic service, you might (or you WILL) end up with a frown. The staff is extremely unfriendly and unwelcoming to say the least. It made us feel like unwanted guests. You’re better off with a takeaway than dine at Chahal’s. Avoid at all costs. You are better off sleeping on an empty stomach rather than seeing miserable faces while serving you.

Came here for a quick takeaway lunch. Walked in and there were already 5 people waiting but we figured that would be a good thing if it's busy. Turns out the staff couldn't be bothered and looked like they'd rather be anywhere else but there. The young boy who was one of the two servers couldn't be bothered to do anything and seem to have a mood for anything he had to do. Eventually a lady came and asked our order, and barely listened before turning around and taking her time with everything. After 25 minutes waiting for papri chaat (where all the components are ready and you just have to put them in a box), we asked her how long and she just laughed and told us 5 more minutes. We got our chaat and then the boy tried to charge us a higher price! The menu said 2.95 and yet he was trying to charge us 3.50??? Came out, sat in the car and opened the chaat. No Chana. No chutney. Stale papri. Don't usually leave reviews but I didn't want anyone else to think they should come here. Had to get a McDonald's after because of it. Never again.

Went in to get a takeaway meal the staff seemed very disinterested, the place looks like it could do with a good clean, got the food home and upon opening it discovered that the three main dishes id ordered all looked and tasted the same? Very strange as it was chicken tikka massala, kahri chicken and a chicken dansak, all three dishes were overly spicy even though i stated medium when i ordered, oh well you live and learn, and the owner will never see another penny of my money.

I think the chef and/or recipe has changed for the curries. Got chicken and lamb curries at different times in 1 week. Great portion sizes, good value and now saucy where as was dry sauce. The egg rice now comes in standard container size whereas before was in long container, you need to let them know if want less salt/oil. There panner samosas were amazing but do a spring roll version now which is still nice.

We ordered food from here, takeways. Terrible food quality. Full of oil and very salty. Rice and curry were very salty. Looks like they have put at least half a bottle of oil in the curry. Extremely oily... Strongly recommend people to look for other better restaurants if you know what food should be like..

This review relates to the Slough branch of this chain. I've been using this restaurant for take aways for a while, the samosa are excellent. To say the restaurant is sparse is an understatment! definetly no frills but the food is good and freshly cooked. Dont expect any level of customer service, most of the staff dont speak any English and those that do are abrupt and treat non Indian customers as an irritation. As for telephone ordering - don't waste your time! i tried to place an order for my friend birthday dinner. When eventually someone answered the phone, i asked to place the order i got an abrupt "wait" followed by much background chattering in Punjabi, then someone put the phone down on me! sadly, this episode just about sums up the contempt they have for thier customers.

Food here is great, but so far I only know take-away only.My favourite is their veg samosas - so authentic and full of flavour. These ladies def know what they are doing, cooking-wise anyway.Non-cooking wise, the blokes behind the counter are always too busy, don't maintain eye contact and are abrupt. English-style politeness is wasted on them. Better to barge in past the customer in front of you, yell out what you want loudly, then throw your money at the hy behind the counter. Only then does he listen or understand. Do it this way, or don't get served at all. Also, don't bother phoning in your order - either the answerer can't speak English or the phone doesn't work at all. How quaint.Service and atmosphere 1*Food and value 5*

Visited with a co-worker while working in Brentford. Genuinely the best value and tastiest food I have had in the London area. The staff were outstanc=dingly professional and courteous and the food delivered to the table was ome of the best tasting Indian food I have had. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, from the purveyours of spicy goodness to those who enjoy freindly staff and a filling meal. Outstanding !

Visited Saturday after England v SA rugby. Booked a table as we thought it might be busy but they had no record of booking so ended up on table near the toilets and cold entrance door. Busiest thing about the place was people leaving without eating! We observed at least 10 people leave within 20 minutes of sitting down and others who complained of waiting 45 minutes before being served. Fixed menu at £21 per head not exactly extensive but even then they struggled to bring the food in the right order and even then it was poor quality and/or cold. If the food had been served in Mumbai or Delhi 93 rupees (£1) maximum cost but it would have been better quality and service. Avoid the place until someone learns how to manage a restaurant! Although one plus was the Bollywood singer who wasn't bad.... pity he couldn't cook food and serve the tables!!

Best pub in London… if not the world! Always stop here with the lads for a Guinness en route to Twickenham. The atmosphere is second to none.

Has perdido dos clientes habituales.

Good tasting biryani. The shop has moved one door to the older shop. Chicken biryani cost is still £2.50 as of November 2024. There is very less sitting space. Take Away and eat at your own place. No salads or sauces provided. Cash only.
