Cha Cha Chai Halifax in Calderdale

Bought a toastie from the halifax branch and it was like a rock my friend who ate it it nearly chipped her tooth. Came back in store to show them and they said this is how we make them. I showed then you cant even break it in half thats how hard it is and their response was we can make you another one but it wil be the same. Didnt know toasties are supposed to be rock hard, guess u learn something new everyday!

Had a wedding tea party at Chacha chai Halifax today, exceptionally impressed with the quality of food and service. Staff are very respectful and polite especially the manager (Javeria). Very clean and ample seating, Couldn’t have had a better experience, highly recommended. Overall 10/10

visited Cha Cha Chai today and decided to try their oreo cheesecake. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The cheesecake tasted as if it was a week old, with a stale and unpleasant flavor. Additionally, the texture was rubbery and completely unappetizing. I expected a fresh and creamy dessert, but this was far from it. i usually get my cheesecake from the cha cha chai donuts and its always tasty and fresh, however this tasted so bad. i called up straight away but no one answered even tho they were still open.

Dead Service!!!! Zzzz slowwwwww 🐌 Average Tea ☕ after spending hours just going round in circles. That thermos taste yukkkkk !!! Open at 10am... 10:20 ordered breakfast was told 30min... no thank you cancel order... 30min for some channa and purri ?? All Hype!!!

Worst food me and my staff have ever had! The toasties are dirty and stale and cold, the naan is rock hard and feels like carboard, chickens over cooked and dry like my old mans foot! 😷 Further more, even the mayonnaise was off and looked old. The mayonnaise splashed on the chips has a yellowy look. - update after the company has replied to my review... I have rang the store and they was nothing but rude to me on the phone with no help. Also for the viewers, my order is not fake i ordered through uber. I have reported it to them and told them to investigate this branch for the food they're serving.

Hi, I’ve been a regular customer of yours for years. But this is appalling experience that I’ve had today. I’ve collected 3 milk cakes from your Halifax branch this evening and couple of them were off and had this disgusting smell. Anyway I’ve called back but no answer then I thought may be they closed so let’s call their main branch on Ingleby Road Bradford, someone answered and didn’t even bother listening to me and said oh we will call them and see if there’s anything wrong with the cakes and told me that he will call me shortly but never called. Being famous isn’t important being consistent in your food or service is more important. Hope you’ll take this seriously!

Pro’s: free street parking right outside, good variety of breakfast and lunch items, always clean, halal and vegetarian food available Con’s: will take average 30min for food to arrive, 2/4 orders were wrong, plastic cutlery, very understaffed, intense atmosphere - need to play some music, bad seating plan for the area, staff not always very friendly

If any of the cha cha chai workers read this please ask the person who makes your paninis to stop throwing food together and stuffing it in the box like a present being wrapped up but the box is wrapping paper. It’s a constant gamble ordering from here not knowing wether the food is going to be right or wrong, it’s either perfectly toasted and put together right in the box, or it’s overly toasted, like genuinely unbiteable, and the inside of my paninis are falling all over my chips.

I had pink tea from here and it was very good taste. Overall a good experience. For a casual sitting with friends its a good place and prices are economical too.

Ordered food from you first time and last time it arrived cold and the bread was hard cause it felt like it was re heated up and sent out, the chaat was nothing but discusting so bland some need to re think about the chaat if I was a the boss to this place I’ll be ashamed I think you lot should only stick to the teas nothing else cause your ruin the the name of the place chicken toast wasn’t nice no flavour or texture to it only thing was warm in this order was the egg muffin sausage I’m never goner order from this place again just to horrible makes me feel sick Waste of £23

Nice place with plenty of seating, unfortunately none of the desserts were made on site and rather alot were missing

Flavour was there but food was served cold. Soft drink cans were warm. No juices available with kids meal. Staff just didn't seem interested in making sure experience met customers expectations.

Exceptional service and very very very tasty food, Best thing about Cha Cha Chai's in Halifax is the manager Jerry who is always very welcoming and top of the range hospitality/customer service. I would highly recommend this place as it has a large variety of options on the menu and something they can tailor to your needs

PATHETIC Updated: Rang in to speak to manager, absolutely disgusting attitude cant even speak proper english and worst part is doesn't know how to speak to customers. Spoke to me in a violent manner saying "well you should rang in and told staff about allergies" ??? Read the goddam receipt !! How about that !! The comment section is there for a reason. Visited the Halifax branch last week and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Prior to visiting, the talk of the town was all about their famous Samosas. Not only was the pastry delicant and delicious, the way it was presented to me with the utmost care and attention to detail by THE Shohaib Balawar was absaloutly mind boggling. A simple smile for example goes a long way and this young man can smile! Customer service is a lost and forgotten art in the modern day cuisine therefore seeing this delivered to such an exemplary standard today really has restored my faith in fine dining. I look forward to my next visit to Cha Cha Chai Halifax and the one after that and so on... #EverySmileCounts

Love the desi breakfast (halva puri, chana), but sometimes they give you really long wait times even for collection. The breakfast bun was disgusting this time, it used to be tasty and came in a brioche bun but this time it came in a cheap white roll (they should have informed me that they didn’t have any brioche buns). Also, 50% mark up on Just Eat (plus delivery charge) is ridiculous - breakfasts go from £6 to £9!

I was very surprised I am not a tea drinker but I went here with a friend had a cup of tea it was amazing I can believe it, the atmosphere inside is remarkable, It's absolutely nice and calm inside if I ever wanted to drink tea again I will definitely come back here In Shaa Allah.

Our go to place for breakfast as there is no need to go to Bradford now, according to the wife the halwa puri is to die for and the full English breakfast is very tasty Excellent food, excellent price and excellent service, keep it up

This is a great place for some home made cooking. I was really impressed with the portion sizes here and the halwa puri was amazing and really good. The tea was also equally amazing, great place for some breakfast. I would certainly visit again.

Foods great but I have made an order twice now with missing parts of what's in the item description. First time the desi breakfast only came with chana, this time nyc breakfast no syrup. Not huge things but not getting what I am paying for, again great food and good delivery, just always missing products.

Had a morning Beerat Breakfast(morning wedding function) here and it was just right for about max 40 guests. Staff were great and very accommodating. Everybody loved it and it got the Wedding kicked off to a good start.

Alhamdullillah we had a small event here for the Baraat function. The staff were very welcoming and hospitable. They looked after us really well and everything went smoothly. Everyone enjoyed the food, especially the tea and halva. Everyone who attended was happy with service &.food. Inshallah if we need a Venue in the future will definitely use this venue again.

After a long time, I had a great Indian taste in the UK. Samosa chaat was mind blowing! Chai was out of the world. The falooda and Jalebi was very authentic :) Must try 😍

The worst panni I have had. The chicken didn't taste fresh and had awful smell to it, also had stale salad in it, they don't know how to make panni as a panni doesn't have Cucumber and Tomotos , this had made the panni soggy, binned it at the end as the dog didn't eat it. Orded a portion of chips, they were to greasy and had black scraps all over them, showed that they don't clean thier oils. The worst cake I have had. Had bought a red velvet and a rainbow cake, they were so stale and awful. No what you I expected for £4 a slice. Can get better cake from the supermarket and cheaper. Worst of item on the order was the Seek kaba and naan. Was the worst Seek kaba I have had. The kabas had a stale taste to them and looked like they were pre cooked and just grilled. The naan wasn't fresh, making whole meal awful, went in the bin as the dog didn't even eat it. Wouldn't be recommening the place, really a shame as was going chose this place for this year's works event

Food took 2 hours to come and was cold and soggy when it did eventually come. Contacted restaurant who initially told me they’d send a fresh order out. Then contacted me back and said no they won’t. Very misleading. Workers blamed just eat drivers but when following the driver on the maps the driver went straight from the restaurant directly to my house. So no idea how the food can go stone cold in a 2 minute drive. Requested to speak to the manager was told he was not available. Requested to speak to anyone senior. Was passed over to a woman who was extremely rude put the phone down on me.

I don't normally but I Wasn't really happy with the food. Had came in the afternoon and orded fresh paratas meal. Who makes paratas with oil. The taste was disgusting. They changed £7.50 for the meal and it was made on the cheap. The chana was also dry and looked like it was from the day before only good think about the meal was the sweet yoghurt. The Seek kaba and naan was also disappointing as the naan wasn't fresh and was put on the grill as it has grill marks, this made the naan to hard. And the Seek kaba were dry and not fresh looked like just reheated. We had ordered a Biryani, they should name to Biryani Salad had more salad on top of it then rice. Also only had 2 prices in the chicken In it. The shop music was terrible as well. Was like your in the 90s listening to hip hop on repeat When asked if they can change it, was told management have made this playlist and they couldn't change it. Wouldn't be coming back as theirs better places in Halifax.

I went as part of a very large group so it was a bit chaotic. Everyone ordered cake but due to some miscommunication there was only chocolate cake or cheesecake left so it caused more delay & confusion. The drink & cake were both delicious, I will go back in a smaller group and see if the service is better.

I’ve had breakfast here a couple of times. It’s a nice place. Their halwa is the best I’ve had. I like their chole and chai as well. Puri can be made better because it’s not the same every time I order. They can try to provide faster service as it takes at least 30 mins.

You need to know how to respond to customers especially the ones that are regulars at your establishment. . . . . I recommended recommended establishment to many friends and colleagues.. Why does your rasmalai have curdled milk skin.. Why do you use left over salad that is out of date? Why has the standard from being a 5star place gone down so badly..? Why has your chicken in the burgers chewy? Why? You were one of the best.. sadly due to the lack of care in your customers experience not have you lost one but many others if you do not adhere to the comments provided especially by loyal customers. It is saddening.. Hoping to hear back from you to resolve this so I can change my review to how you were initially. EDIT... I Would like to speak to the owner if you can leave a email address I can contact them on or a direct number. I don't know why they never contacted back it's a utter shame . I have reported the establishement.

Ordered 3 different dishes, every one of them was absolutely caked in diced cucumber. I cannot stand cucumber. This was not advertised anywhere. I understand cucumber is a staple in salads and the sort so I avoid those dishes when ordering from somewhere, but one of the dishes was a burger... Who puts cucumber in a burger?! Unfortunately I was really hungry so scraped off what I could and doused it in hot sauce to try and salvage it. It was awful.

came in yesterday 2 young lasses at the front ordered a chicken panini and a parantha and Channa and a couple other bits they told me 45 mins wait as it was very busy didn’t mind waiting with my family. The girls must have been 16/17 years old and were faced with so much abuse and disrespect from mainly older asian men who refused to wait for their food after they were told how long it was going to take they were constantly nagging the girls who were already rushed off their feet. It’s disgusting to see them having to put up.With that which makes me question where the manager was?Eventually got my food the girls were very polite as well as the lady from the back who came to give me my food and apologised for the wait however the food wasn’t well cooked and was cold didn’t want to complain as it was clear they had many orders wouldn’t come back again for the food maybe for something else . It’s clear they need more hands to help mainly in the kitchen as i was told there were only 2 ladies making the food. The young girls at the front were polite and dealt with rude and disrespectful customers as best they could thumbs up to the customer service however the food wasn’t the best but going to put it down to the fact that they were busy.

We booked cha cha chai Halifax at short notice for the baraat to have chai and snacks. The manager accommodated us and ensured all preps were done prior to us arriving. Honestly the staff at this place are so nice and welcomed us really nicely. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for us. I'm so happy with the service at this place. We had more guests than expected and the manager and staff both got extra food for us immediately. The manager didnt even make me pay him on the spot, he knew we was rushed due to the wedding. Thank you for putting ur trust in us ( not many people/restaurants do that ). I obviously went back the day after and cleared the bill. Honestly guys thank you for ur hospitality. U have definitely earned another loyal customer ❤ Guys that work at this place r an asset to the business... Thanks once again

We went early in morning and were met with some amazing customer service by the gentleman at the front. Cafe atmosphere was great. Every item we ordered was absolutely delicious. I couldn't fault anything about the place. I will definitely return again. 100% recommended.

I would recommend the cheesy chicken naan* absolutely beautiful

They dont have the right containers. Everything is mixed up the halva goes in the curry or onto the poori. They are expensive but the food isn't served in separate containers and also they have really small portions, only 2 poori in one full meal. I wouldn't recommend eating from here. Only the pink tea is good.

Came here for a quick drink and ended up dining in. What a lovely place, great food and drinks.most of all fantastic customer service and care from the lovely young man out front Danny he went above and beyond with our food and drinks he also rustled up One of his signature mocktails which were soo refreshing for a hot summers day. It’s a family friendly place to visit. Safe to say il be a frequent visitor so a defo 10/10 thumbs up 👍🏽.

The best desi tea in Yorkshire. Varied and tasty menu. I had the kebab sandwich, don't know what the sauce was but the combo of flavours worked brilliantly well. Topped it off with a kheer....amazing. Quick service and super friendly staff. Get yourselves down to Cha Cha Chai Halifax

Travelled from Sheffield to try out the chai and food at the Halifax Chai Chai Chai. Got to say, I've tried alot of Chai in my time and this was the best. Great balance of flavours. Ordered a chicken steak panini....it was super delish! The ambiance of the place was relaxing, comfy and cosy. With out a doubt, I will definitely be going again inshallah

Ordered x 2 homemade paratha with omelette and desi teas. The tea was OK, but the homemade paratha wasn't great. We wanted homemade as not a fan of frozen ready made parathas. Was expecting crispy outer part and soft from inside but instead it was hard and lacking that butter taste, possibly made with oil rather than natural butter . Then it was pressed in a panini press machine to create a wrap style around the omelette. The omelette itself was average. I expected better quality from them, especially at the price. Won't be having another from here as many places now offer the same type of desi breakfasts but better quality.
