CERU Eastern Mediterranean Restaurant Queensway in City of London, Westminster

Came here for dinner. Ordered the hummus which was served with what I assume was warm house-made pita bread, watermelon and feta salad, lamb shank, aubergine and polenta fries. While we didn't care for the polenta fries, everything else was delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic, as was the service. Highly recommend. Wish I lived in London.

This was our first time at this restaurant. The atmosphere is upbeat and lively. The dining room was full and convesations were aplenty. The staff are great. Very friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely 💯 delicious. I recommend everyone try this gem. It is worth it. Thank you.

The food was decent, but nothing really stood out. Service was okay, though a bit slow at times. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience, but I expected more from the menu options. Wouldn’t rush back.

Our dinner here was just okay - none of the 6 dishes we ordered was particularly memorable or flavourful. They were just ‘good’. The service on the other hand was terrible - the worst we experienced during our weeklong vacation in London. Lovely atmosphere though.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at Ceru, and wow, what a wonderful place 🌟 If you're celiac, this restaurant is a true paradise: practically everything is gluten-free, and they even have several gluten-free beers to choose from. Ole! 🍻 The staff is exceptionally friendly—Mubi and Sindu were there last night—and they treated me super well, without being overwhelming, with the kind of attention that makes you feel at home. The manager, Sindu, is not only super nice, but also speaks perfect Spanish, which made the dinner even more relaxing. If you're looking for a place to eat amazingly, worry-free, and with a perfect atmosphere, Ceru rocks. I'll be back when I'm in the area!! The food is absolutely outstanding! Delicious! Hot! Fresh! The service was friendly and professional!!! An easy 5 stars. But, may I add, the toilet room is an absolute feast for the eyes! A MUST SEE!!! Please! Do yourself a favour and visit this wonderful restaurant.

From the outside it looked inviting, so we take the chance.The Interieur ist nice and clean. The food is really good and if we had stayed longer we had come again . Only the waitress is a bit snippy.

My wife and I were in London vacationing from the United States. We were not sure what we wanted to eat, but we’re always game for something new. Ceru’s came up on our radar as an Eastern Mediterranean Fusion restaurant and it not disappoint. The trio of hummus was the perfect beginning to a great dinner that included lamb shoulder and Arabic fried rice. So good! Highly recommend the perfect shareable portions.

What a fabulous dining experience tonight at Ceru! Their eclectic fusion menu is inspired and every dish we ordered was delightful! When reading the menu posted outside the restaurant I was intrigued by the Watermelon and Toasted Feta Salad, which turned out to be my favourite of the 6 dishes we ordered. I also appreciated the alcohol free options on the cocktail menu and enjoyed the passion fruit mojito. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the ambience inside is relaxing. Well done Ceru!

The restaurant manager Lorenzo is a very friendly person who knows how to make you feel at your ease and at last the atmosphere and the interior design were stunning. I really recommend this restaurant to those who want to have very good Mediterranean food in an elegant and friendly atmosphere.

Really lovely place near Hyde Park with great atmosphere and good food. The food selection is very good and they serve small portions, which means you can try more items on the menu. The value for money is also very good. I was served by Mubi and she was such a wonderful waitress. She was very attentive, and made my visit very comfortable. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Our first meal in London after 36 hours of travel from home in Australia. We were after a light but tasty meal, we were not disappointed, an excellent and very tasty meal supported by excellent, prompt and friendly service. Our host was very informative without being intrusive

Wonderful taste bud experience, worth including a separate travel plan for this restaurant! What wowed me most was lamb shoulder, with a nutty aroma in the main tone of the fruity flavor (yes, nut allergy people need to avoid), just like a hippo dancing a minuet, the second thing to recommend was octopus feet, very soft and glutinous, elastic, non-alcoholic cocktails were also delicious, I made a wish appetizers like tataki to the manager, who said they would consider creating it, which is very happy and looking forward to their next visit.

It was supposed to be a hit and run evening, that is, leaving the hotel, getting something to eat and returning to the room, vice versa we were intrigued by the menu of this place and it was never a better choice. Amazing welcome from Lorenzo, the manager of the restaurant, a friendly man from Ravenna with the ability to put you at ease, a Milan fan like myself, in fact during the evening I was watching Udinese-Milan and he came from time to time to find out about the result. Amazing fusion cuisine, easy and relaxed atmosphere, in short, for my wife and me the best evening of our 3 days in London. Highly recommended. Thanks again Lorenzo

Enjoyed a late lunch at this amazing restaurant. Started with the trio of dips and followed by share plates. Lamb shoulder was delicous. All food presented well and the flavours worked well together. The birds nest dessert I had was mouth watering. So amazing. Finally you have to visit the bathroom as it is decorated out very Turkish/ Mediterranean style. We will have to wait for another visit to UK to try again one day.

Wow as soon as you walk in the door is a cosey intimate feeling the attention to detail on the decor is noticed from the open kitchen to the dishes everything is designed with flavour in mind as well as feeling like youve been transported . the pomegranate mint apple salad with the halloumi ... totally boom on the flavour profile The dips are all homemade and the polenta fries are somthing to try. Most of all so many Gluten free dishes which is why i brought my mum ! and don't get me started on the bathrooms

Ceru has become a favorite restaurant, it is consistently good with fabulous flavors and very creative dishes. Good portion sizes and great ambiance, you will not be disappointed dining here.

We were on holiday in London and were attracted by the positive reviews of the restaurant. It was a nice discovery, Greek-Israeli fusion food with many flavors and excellent quality. The waiter Lorenzo is certainly a plus for his friendliness and availability in explaining the dishes. The only flaw is that there are no dishes suitable for children, everything is very spicy for those who are not used to eating it

I really really enjoyed the food here! My highlights were the lamb shoulder - the pomegranate perfectly compliments the lamb. The roasted pumpkin is so gorgeously paired with the sauce! The trio of dips were gorgeouuuuuusssss. The polenta fries are just stunning as well! Together with the fantastic food that we had I must also give a special mention to Dorota & Lorenzo - both are a real credit to the team! They are absolutely lovely, knowledgable with the menu & just brilliant!

The food is very good, we ate very well. Our main problem was choosing because we all really wanted the dishes! Even our table neighbors’ dishes looked delicious. The only downside remains the atmosphere because the music was very loud.

Everything was fabulous! We had some great recommendations from the lovely Dorota who really made our experience special. I would highly recommend the passionista cocktail, the pear & orange salad, three dips, shish taouk and dark chocolate mousse to name just a few things we enjoyed. Great place to share small plates and try some good Mediterranean dishes, I cannot wait to visit again soon.

Great dinner and excellent service

This a great place for foodies especially if you are gluten free. We were asked right away whether its Gluten intolerance or Celiac. That level of knowledge and attention we have received anywhere. Moreover the specification instruction went all the way to the kitchen when the cooks were informed in person of the allergy. The food was amazing. Small portions but you are advised up front and given an approximate number of dishes that will satisfy an adult. Flavors of Baclava is a must try ice cream.

Had Barry’s and was feeling hungry but didn’t want to undo the workout—Ceru was the perfect choice! Right next to the tube and Barry’s, it was super convenient. The food was incredible—healthy yet so delicious. The 12-hour slow-cooked lamb was unbelievably tender, the sea bream was perfection, and the polenta fries were insanely crispy and addictive. The small plates were just the right size (big enough to share between two Asians!).

As an Arab I was quite curious about levantine fusion so decided to give it a try The crisp apple salad was beautiful, artichoke and pea salad was decent but I wouldn't call it a salad as it was served hot, baby aubergines were a bit plain and lacked salt, the orez (rice) was delicious, coating and taste on the chicken tenderloins were great and lastly the leg of rabbit was pretty good (my first time trying, slightly on the dry side but good taste) We finished off with some dark chocolate mousse which I would recommend asking for a bit of salt and putting it on top! Thank me later Overall a lovely dining experience, welcoming and attentive service and great atmosphere. Would definitely come again.

Almost every option was gluten free, with the few gluten containing dishes made in a separate area in the kitchen. The ingredients were SO fresh, the flavours absolutely delicious, service warm and attentive, and atmosphere wonderfully Mediterranean. Couldn't fault it, and can't recommend it more.

Excellent service! My boyfriend James and I celebrated our anniversary this week and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive during our evening at Ceru Queensway. We’ll definitely be back again for the Baklava ice cream and more negronis - apologies in advance!!

All in all, me and my partner felt upset about the whole experience, as we did not feel welcomed at the restaurant and were rushed through. Being Valentine’s Day, it would have been pleasant if we could’ve stayed longer at the restaurant, enjoy the ambience and indulge in a conversation, which we weren’t able to do.

Super friendly and attentive staff that knew their menu well. Most of the menu is gluten free naturally except for the pita and you can get veggies instead of bread for the dips/mezze which was amazing! And the food was absolutely delicious and well balanced!

The food was very very good! I just would'nt recommend the restaurant if you are a big group because the waitress was clearly annoyed and the experience would have been a bit better with a nicer service.

We chose the restaurant, for lunch, based on the reviews. It was so disappointing. We had the lamb shoulder. It came cold; a lot of grease ... cold! The potates were raw and we had to send them back. The beer was good.

Wonderful surprise ! The healthy mediterranean food , not easy to find in Central London , was very very very good , we loved it !!! Service was great too !!! We will be there again for sure (many times😃)

First of all, amazing food. I didn't think I would taste such amazing food. Second the ambience is pretty, gold and yellow, soothing. Third, our server, the young lady was really attentive and walked us through the menu which helped. We went for the second time, first time I was there since my friend threw a birthday party some months ago and this became her favourite. Now the okay part: the music was a bit loud and the vibe of the place is mellow and soothing, pop music may noy be the right choice. Bad part: I don't like restaurants that i my let their 'guests' to use the toilet. I get it why they do. But if someone showed UK at your better looking restaurant to use a washroom, it must be for a reason, otherwise they will go to a pub, like everyone else does. But when on my way back home after an hour later, I had to use the toilet, I was promptly told that I can't use it because only for the guests. Thanks, I know that. And that's why the request. Thanks to the lady who served us, who recognised me, and promptly let me use the washroom. But that was in bad taste.

The waiter was an absolute pleasure, friendly and would joke with us often considering it was my first date with the woman he helped ease the moment. His suggestions were on point and I will certainly be recommending to many friends.
