Central Perk in Falkirk

The food was lovely. We were seated around the back and I think we were forgotten about a wee bit. They have a great selection of cakes including gluten free, which was quite a big range. The service was alright if you're not in a rush. Great for a catch up and chat with a friend.

came here a few times and it’s been great however my friend ordered a fry up and found green mould in her toast, when we told the staff they said offered us new toast or a new fry up. We asked for something else and my friend was still expected to pay for her meal after eating half of the toast which was mouldy and not realising. Ridiculous

Lovely treat of afternoon tea provided by a friend. Fresh sandwiches, sausage rolls and copious cakes and coffee.

The place was nice , tidy and child friendly.took my wee boy and he absolutely loved the gingerbread cookies. For me the burgers were ok but not the best. The service was great with the beautiful lassies ready to serve.

Last chance App. I’ve now done this bloody review 4 times. So it will be shorter than the others. Great portion size, really enjoyed our breakfasts and the staff were great. Has plenty of seating and room for those with accessibility needs. Would we go again? Yes definitely

My hubby and I went for afternoon tea and this is by far one of the best we've had. The sandwiches were filled to the brim with fillings, about 8 sausage rolls, scones and a selection of cakes, meringues,strawberry tarts,éclairs to name but a few. I would highly recommend this place for afternoon tea.

Lovely visit today to the central perk, ham and cheese panini, scrambled egg roll. Great quality ingredients, lovely service.

Had their full breakfast in their today 17/6/22 & it was all very well cooked & tasted lovely. I liked the gruves on their lovely tasting black pudding & haggis & the two triangular slice of brown toast [that I opted for] were nice & thick & crisp, I asked for another butter which was no bother for one of the waitress to give me. I went to stir my pot of tea expecting there to be a T bag in it, but there was none & was glad to see tea leaves for a change & it was a lovely tasting bru. There was also a complimentary round pice of shortbread on my saucer which tasted great BUT it was soft ☹️ They have ones about 3 times that size which I swithered whether to take out with me - but I declined because of that reason. Compliments go to the chef & to the pleasent smiling waitress Myron & to the boss who conversed with me when leaving & she told me that the food is served up on warm plates (as it should be) SO in u go & induldge in their lovely looking cakes etc... 🥧🧁🍰🥮 that r on display👍 😁 Back in again on Tuesday 6/2/24 & i was glad that i just ordered a HALVE baked potato 🥔 but in the end I was a bit sad - WHY well as u can see here is some tough dry chicken & some of the skin that i can't eat & the chicken mayo & side salad was all a bit bland/tasteless. The square piece of iced fruit cake was LOADED with lovely soft juicy fruit, once you crack through the icing & the wafer thin base - all was washed down 👇 with a lovely pot strong T tea ☕ Oh!! and don't forget to buy their bag or bags of star ⭐ shaped homemade SHORTBREAD it tastes lovely & crisp, if u eat one, you will probably want to eat another one.

Busy wee place. Went with a couple of friends and had a nice coffee and a treacle scone. Everyone enjoyed what they had had. Constant turnover of customers and staff kept the tables clean and tidy.

Brilliant Cafe, Big Fry Breakfast is outstanding as are the High Teas.

Never again! Not a lot of choice if you have dietary requirements (vegan due to food intolerance). Was seated at a table that is in the middle of the room right in the passageway. You have people and waiting staff constantly walking around you to go to the toilet or pay at the till. I was trying to eat my meal with someone bottom right next to muly face. Waiting staff did not show any enjoyment being there (no smile). We felt like in a middle of a production line. This was our first visit and even if the food was good all the rest has unfortunately ruined the experience and left is not enjoying our time there.

Went in because Costa across the road was queued out. Good selection of cakes and does meals too. The place was quite busy so service was very slow. Since that occasion service has altered, so if you only want a coffee your order is taken right away. Probably the best cafe in Falkirk now!

I was waiting on a free vintage bus to take me from Grahamston Railway Station to Falkirk Model Railway Exhibition being held at Grangemouth Sports stadium. I had over 3/4 of an hour to kill and it was chilly. So l left the station to have a wee look around l saw 3 Coffee Shops but Central Perk was in my opinion well ahead of the competitors. I looked in the window it was well lit up inside and had several people already inside eating away. The staff/owner had made the effort to make the place look Christmassy and they got it just right in my view. I entered the shop and it was warm to walk into. Almost Immediately a friendly young person told me to pick a seat and she would be over. I had a quick look at the cake counter and saw what l wanted. I had just pulled my chair over when l was served again very friendly and my order was for a white chocolate rocky road and a gingerbread latte. It arrived in a few minutes and l had finished the cake in about ten minutes time and l finished off my coffee in about another ten minutes, whilst checking my mobile phone. I got up and paid for my coffee and cake and left a moderate tip in appreciation of the staffs service to myself. I wasn't prying but l observed them deal with other customers in the same manner and they interacted with each other whilst working away. They beat 100% the chain coffee shops regimented approach to customers and they had in my view a good variety of cake and foods on offer. I would have got a breakfast but l had breakfast at home before l set out on my trip. The coffee and cake were an added extra against the chill. I am glad l got to visit and sample Central Perk in Falkirk. I hope to return again soon. Brilliant people and a great venue. If your in the area, give it a try. Its well worth it. The staff are a fab. 10 out of 10 : )

Cosy cafe. Love the coffee, strawberry tart and Eggs Benedict, will be coming back for sure.

Food was OK very little change from £10 for soup and cup of tea

Food was really good. Only complaint was my 2 colleagues and I felt it was expensive for a lunch break. It appears very busy and staff who served us were pleasant. Maybe smaller portions would help cut price during lunchtimes. £13.30 for soup, toasty and tea.

Lovely place plenty of seating fast service and extremely friendly staff

Wow! Driving through the area and was looking for a healthy, homemade breakfast. This was everything and more! Had a scone and scrambled eggs and toast. Absolute perfection!

Coffee shop was lovely and the people serving were polite and kind. However I cannot justify paying 7 pound for a roll and square sausage and a bottle of juice. I feel it’s overpriced.

I had a white bueno and it tasted like a white bueno so i have to give this a rating of 4.6 stars. 👍🏼

Well this place has took my hubby's top spot giving it a rating of 10/10 and for the first time ever we couldn't finish it bringing goodies home. Lovely fresh soft bread, thick sandwich fillings,hot sausage rolls homemade deliciousness scones, empire, meringue etc. Checkout afternoon tea with Ian on FB for more afternoon teas. Congrats to central perk for taking top spot with full marks from Ian. We will return

The food was great. Bit pricy but all fresh & very tasty so don’t mind paying extra for it when it’s like that. Waitress was great. Arrived at 9.45am and got sat at a table saying “reserved 10.30”… didn’t think anything of it as that is where they sat us. Was then rushed out the door at 10.40am as we hadn’t already moved. There was plenty other seats so I don’t understand why they would seat someone when there was a reserve there. Bit of a let down at that.

From arriving at this istablishment we were quickly warm welcomed and shown to our table. The servers were not pushy and were all very friendly. Cleanliness? 10/10 Atmosphere? 10/10. Felt very welcomed. We did feel that we were sitting on top of anyone else. Staff's attitude? 10/10 Very attentive and friendly,happy to answer additional questions,did not feel rushed Food choices? 10/10. Very happy with menu suitable for all dietary needs. The food we received had clearly been made fresh and had not been batch cooked,the food arrived fresh & hot within an acceptable time frame. Portion sizes? 10/10 From what we ordered we both were not able to finish our meals not for lack of wanting to. They also have a take away option if you don't finish your food which is an added bonus. Value for money? 10/10 Would we recommend? 100% yes. We are planning on visiting again real soon. Lunch catch up with an old friend. Very popular place. Tables spaced nicely. Very friendly efficient staff. Best scampi I've had in a long time. Nice chat with the lovely owners. Would highly recommend for a nice informal lunch stop or for a quick coffee & cake

Busy but excellent coffee & cake

After reading the reviews I was looking forward to try this yesterday. How disappointed I was. Firstly after going to take a bottle of Strathmore from the fridge but was advised I could get one from behind the counter which turned out to be a smaller glass bottle at £2 .my partner got a fry up and the sausage was pouring of grease. My cajun wrap was all mushy like baby food and totally overpowered with red onion, the side salad consisted of 1 slice of tomato, 2 bits of iceberg and a spoonful of value coleslaw. 2 average coffees. The cakes were awful, not fresh . The lady across sent hers back as it was solid, I wish I had done the same, the chocolate éclair was so sweet and stale i couldn't eat it my partner did as was the carrot cake. Totally overpriced at £35 prices I don't expect from a cafe unless top notch . Definitely wouldn't recommend and will not be back I'm afraid, waste of money. I actually felt sick all night afterwards. Staff was lovely and friendly and gave good table service.

Regularly use this cafe which has great cakes , good lunch time food and is reasonably priced. Staff are friendly and attentive . Can be busy so sometimes a short wait for a table .

This is one of our favourite spots in Falkirk! The friendliest staff and delicious food. Also brilliant baby changing facilities - the best I've come across so far in the area. Always top service and yummy traybakes too!

Nice food but very expensive for what it is.

Over £20 fo a breakfast and 2 rolls at best average food. When we finally got the food it was cold! Would not recommend nor will we be back.

Witnessedd a couple being asked to leave today as they had their own food for child. Child was their 1 yr old grandaughter who has to have a special diet but the staff said they had to leave as they were not allowed to have their own food, even if the child was only 1 (1 day short to be exact) and had special dietry requirments. Not somewhere you mite want to take a young child to.

We ate the 'Wee Fry' breakfast which was perfectly cooked, asked for minor adjustments which were supplied with no fuss. Staff were helpful & friendly, service was good. Thank you.

Tried this place for the first time. Staff were ok. Waited a we while for food. We ordered the soup large bowl and a roll came I got bacon roll it was ok. Got hot drinks as well. It's quite pricey. I wouldn't rush back

Went for breakfast as a group. They said can't book table then we had to sit separately... Food wasn't impressive, maybe bit overpriced. Burned toast, fatty bacon. Couldn't put high chair around table as they needed space, so wouldn't call family friendly or then they could allocate family area it's up to them really I guess. Also someone suggested it's good as there is a play area for kids but I think that area was booked for a private gathering for elderly. Well I hope they enjoyed all the toys :D

We had a lovely breakfast here, my husband had a full big breakfast with coffee, which looked amazing, and I had Eggs Benedict on a toasted muffin with pot of tea which was delicious.

I ordered Jacket Potato with Prawns. Potato was not oven baked it was cooked from scratch in microwave which resulted I bottom of Potato over done and tough,the Prawns were chewy and could tell they were defrosted in microwave again which I hate and think it's wrong doing that. Won't be returning.

I had nine minutes between trains at Falkirk Grahamston station and went for a walk to stretch my legs. This cafe is just outside the entrance - I had an coffee to take away with a bit of excellent shortbread and back at the station with time to spare - can’t fault it! Baking looked good too, if I’m back with more time I’ll certainly try it.

Food was good and portion size was reasonable.

We visited for lunch and ordered soup, paninis, chips and coffees. The cafe is modern and clean in all respects. The food was good and served reasonably quickly. We had asked for coffees to be served after we had our soup. We didn’t get the coffees and reminded another member of staff. The coffees never appeared and when paying the bill the cashier said she hadn’t been told we were ready for them and she showed us the ticket order. A simple error and perhaps if they had a check back system to ask if everything was in order this would have ensured this sort of thing couldn’t happen. The cashier was very apologetic and that was appreciated. On our visit we overheard two adjacent tables who had similar issues. We have visited this place several times and the service has been good however we may reconsider going back in the future.

A very pleasant welcome ,we where served very quickly ,with tea then sausage rolls and sandwichs,then a cake stand of lovely scones and cakes. Which we throughly enjoyed ,helped by another pot of tea.

A cafe like they used to be, and even better. Friendly service, table service, good food and coffee. No standing in a queue to have your coffee thrown at you or sitting at a dirty table. Brilliant for breakfast, great for an afternoon tea or lunch and the cakes. Yum.

Visited for coffee and cake as I have done many times before. The service was good and coffees are always lovely but the quality of the cakes isn’t always up to standard. This time and the previous occasion I have visited the tray bakes seem to be stale and have been left out for days they really don’t taste fresh at all. Really disappointing.

Fantastic afternoon tea here today. Sandwiches fresh, tasty and full of filling. Sausage rolls were so nice! And the scones and cakes were just fantastic. Highly recommend - excellent value for money.

food was disgusting. pancakes were oily and grainy and syrup had a film on it like it’d been sitting out for a while. waiters also didn’t seem to know what they were doing as 3 different ones came and asked us what we wanted (none of which were the actual waiter supposed to be serving us) they were also all shouting incredibly loudly to each other in the kitchen. overall pretty disappointing and definitely wouldn’t be back

Mediocre food, over priced for the quality, service pretty average, you should always have your cutlery before your food arrives, especially when it's not that busy. Have been before and thought we'd give it another go to see if it had improved unfortunately not. There is lots of competition around they need to up their game.

I've had breakfast on several occasions now. Really good quality and the staff are so lovely and made me feel so welcome. Definitely one of the best eateries in town. I will definitely be back

Ordered a Cajun chicken wrap, and when it came looked like tuna and tasted like off chicken. When I didn’t eat it the waitress didn’t even ask how the food was despite leaving the wrap and left before I even got the chance to explain....

Wonderful cafe! Lovely fresh food and plenty of gluten free options. We were a large group and the staff was wonderful, especially kind and thoughtful with the little ones. Will definitely be returning.

Very disappointed! The staff where very nice and pleasing but when the food came it wasn’t edible, the burger I had was full of hairs and tasted like the meat was off the first bite I had! I was confronted by the owner Robert once...

Very handy place for the train station and retail park (get away from the chain coffee!). Good scones and tray bakes and a big pot of tea that does four cups. Love that. Tables a bit sticky - only thing preventing it getting a 5.

How do I start mmm let's see , went to get breakfast and a coffee the breakfast came out very well done let's say I thought it was done in a volcano over cooked burnt food coffee was OK but once complained I was told I've to pay and not to come back not that I will be back was a very horrible experience the owner was rude and very unpleasant not a good place to go might I say the girl staff where pleasant.
