I used to work in middle east and definitely missed the arabic food. Finding this restaurant was like an answered prayer, food is amazing I have tried almost all of their menu and i can say everything is delicious and well cooked. Staff are very welcoming especially our friend Ali who is very kind, hands on and serves with a smile. Ambiance is perfect feels like home. Will definitely comeback again. Legit arabic food in the UK 🤭

Had a fantastic pre-theatre meal here. Lovely little place and the food is stunning. Delicious hot and cold meze and fantastic main courses too. All beautifully cooked and seasoned. Will definitely return. Nice waiter who was very helpful and understanding lesser known items in the menu. Portions are generous… they kindly gave us a doggy bag as we somewhat over ordered. Highly recommended!

I went there for the Shawarma. They served me the best damn Shawarma.

Cedar is located on one of the most busiest streets in Portsmouth, however do not let this put you off from visiting, as it is the best restaurant in the city and one of the most authentic Lebanese restaurants in the whole of the UK. My family, friends and I have eaten here multiple times and ordered for home delivery too. We've tried every dish on the menu multiple times and everything is delicious, full of flavour and very reasonably priced. Lamb kabsa and the falafel are my favourite. The atmosphere is perfect for a restaurant this size, it is cosy and lively. The best part about this restaurant is the level of customer service, the head waiter is attentive, friendly and goes above and beyond. Cedar is a must-visit when in Portsmouth!

We enjoyed a vegetarian meal at the Cedar Restaurant. There was enough choice for us and it was good value for money, Despite a very large table being served at the same time we didn't have to wait too long for service.

Came here some months ago with my partner, and we loved the place. The food is fantastic, the staff are very welcoming, and it is very affordable considering how good the food is. I'm not one to glaze, so anyone reading this should take it as a nudge to go! Parking is tough, but that's just Albert Road and not Cedar's fault. Really is an underrated restaurant.

Easily some of the best meat you can get in Portsmouth, and potentially the UK. Every time I'm local, I have to come here. The shisha lounge out back is also lovely. Can't recommend the place any more.

My brother and I dropped in for an early evening meal before football match, and we're knocked out by the delicious food we were brought. Very tasty lamb with Lebanese bread, salad, chips or rice, all lovely.highly reccomended

This restaurant is fabulous. I visited on a cold January evening but the welcome was warm and the food wonderful. The price was reasonable and I loved my fresh lemonade drink. I don't think alcoholic drinks are for sale here, but that didn't spoil our meal at all. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be returning.

We came to ceders Lebanese restaurant as Arab society and the service was amazing and the food was better. It was a proper Lebanese cuisine and on top of that Ali gave us the most beautiful service including dabke and music etc. highly recommend

I recommend you go here because the food is just 🤤 i don’t even have words to say it’s that good. The chicken biryani and the shawarma is soo flavourful and juicy. You can taste that chicken and how fresh it is. The service is INCREDIBLE the people are so kind and sweet and they make sure to get your order right. And the restaurant itself is very cozy and friendly there pretty designs on the wall and the furniture is soft and not like those hard chairs. I recommend you go here to eat.😋😝🥰💋

Very relaxed atmosphere, at no time did we feel under pressure to order, plates weren't cleared until we had finished eating, excellent range of dishes on the menu, my guest is vegetarian and there was a good range of dishes for her to select from. Staff were welcoming, friendly and professional, the restaurant was very clean. My guest has lived in Lebanon for several years and assured me about the authenticity of the cuisine. Prices are very reasonable, I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

A very bad experience that will not be repeated. Mistreatment by the staff as if you were eating on his account and imposing the cash payment method on the customer.

I came to the store based on a recommendation, but today at 6:30 p.m. I do not know who the employee is, but I think he is of Syrian nationality and he represents himself only. He was impolite and imposed a method of payment in cash or transfer!!? During the discussion of the reasons, he became pressured and uttered vulgar words that did not suit God’s grace. Lebanese food that is lit!! Simply, simply, simply amazing! The falafals is crispy and seasoned well, the chicken wrap has a multitude of flavours in each bite and the humus with lamb is incredible. Ali was super welcoming and courteous, he was kind and I think that honestly stands out when you go to a new place :) a must try if anyone stops in Portsmouth.

I visited this place with my friend in the evening during the weekend, and we really enjoyed the food. The portions were generous and the price is unmatched, very good. 👍🏻 The only thing that didn’t sit quite well with us was the atmosphere. The place was really quiet when we went, all the people in the restaurant were quiet too and there was barely any music playing. Would’ve preferred it to be more lively. Otherwise everything was excellent 🤗

I have been smoking shisha for the last 15 years, and this was the worst shisha I have ever smoked in my life. The flavor was off, and the smoke was harsh and unpleasant. I couldn't enjoy it at all and had to stop after just a few puffs. The ambiance was also not nice, which made the experience even worse. It's disappointing because I was really looking forward to a relaxing session at the shisha cafe. I won't be visiting this cafe again.

We were staying overnight close by and decided to try this restaurant. The host was extremely welcoming and although there was only one other table booked we felt there was a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, and extremely good value. We would be delighted to go back, alas geographically, it probably seems very unlikely. We would heartily recommend this gem.
