I hadn't visited for a while and there's been an internal refit since I was last here. There's more room for diners and the restaurant was busy. We just called in for a drink, the Guinness flowed freely as we enjoyed a convivial evening.

Friendly staff, good value on the food and a good atmosphere

The other week, I went there with Family, The overall Service was excellent the young lady behind the counter couldn't do enough for us, I ask her to make sure everything was cooked hot even the pudding we had later was hot as requested, the lady with the ponytail is very helpful and went the extra mile I would say. This was the first time visiting the place and getting the service we got as mentioned above. I shall be returning because the welcome and the service we received. If you like food take a trip out visit the Cat and Fiddle I am sure you will have a great meal I had the Steak and Ale Slice and the Blakewell Tart.

Started drinking in here after the referb over a year ago. What a great pub! Food is fantastic & the Sunday dinners are to die for. Highly recommend this pub. The staff are fantastic, hard working and very friendly.

Food was very good had the all day breakfast only thing wrong was the poor quality sausage.

It’s just a shame when you coming in group of 15, and after an hour when all your friend finished their dinner already, ready to leave…you are still waiting for your food… No additional comment needed. Sorry Cat & Fiddle, not impressed today xx

always a good night when the villa is on. good atmoshphere. i came in for the £5 burger deal as the meal was fantastic value for money. good quality beef burger. the options to build your own burger are good. staff member behind the bar was polite.

Been here several times usually on a Sunday and always been happy until today food was shocking hubby had fish and chips fish was mainly batter. I had a beef dinner which was nearly cold the roasters were that over cooked you could have broken your teeth on them. The mash was disgusting. The couple sat next to us also had Sunday dinners and they said the same. In hind sight we should have sent our meals back.

Been here numerous amounts of times and since site refurb and new management, the place is absolutely spot on, great food and atmosphere, would highly recommended.

Great range of lagers on draught and a good range of gins. We were pointed out some exclusive gins to try. Great place to go and never let's us down.

Myself & my friend went to have lunch on Thursday. The food was delicious & the service was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves.will certainly be going again soon.and very good selection on food at a very good price

Well what can I say... I wanted to organise a surprise get together to include family and friends for my Husband's 40th birthday, and with the help of Dave we had the best day!! Dave reserved the whole of the pergola area outside for me, which was amazing as we had lovely weather, and he was always at hand to answer any questions, and I had many! The barmaids on the day/night were absolutely amazing! Constantly asking if we were ok, happy to help with anything and even served some drinks on the trays for me, ensuring all went smoothly which put me at ease. No stress, just a wonderful day and a lovely celebration. Food and drinks were great too, many had food as well as drinks and all were very impressed!! My Husband and everyone else had an amazing time so I would just like to say thank you to all at The Cat and Fiddle, you done a great job in helping me plan the best surprise day for my Husband. I would highly recommend to anyone! Lovely setting for a small or large get together with family and friends. Dog friendly and children friendly so suits all! Did not disappoint - thank you! 🥂

Ruptured my Achilles Tendon due the the sticky floor. After purchasing the world's most active Guinness I tried to navigate the sea of bozos and felt a severe pain like one had just been ridiculed and turned inside out by Leon Bailey

Came in here for the first time to watch the Euros with a friend who lives nearby and have to say for a local pub I was impressed. The place was clean and comfy, plenty of tvs so you could see the screen no matter where you’re sat, and the food was pleasantly enjoyable. The queue time was a bit long but it’s to be expected when you’ve got a huge match on so I don’t mind that and the staff were great, was in there for quite a while so saw a change in staff throughout the day and have to say they were all smiley, chatty, and welcoming. All except one. Older woman compared to the other barmaids and had a face like a sour lemon. Moody, miserable, and just plain old rude she was. Can’t even be blamed on the business as she was there before the game started so she’s got no excuse. She was curt and snappy, everytime I looked over at the bar she was yelling at someone whether it be other customers or even her own staff?? Brought it up with my mates and found they all think the same of her, moody cow 👍 heard she’s fairly new here so hopefully won’t stick round too long as she ruined the atmosphere for me. To any new comers I would recommend the cat and please enjoy this lovely little pub, maybe just give it a miss if you see her face slumped over the bar.

Where do I start? Tables and the floor where dirty and sticky, service was sometimes friendly but very poor. Burger was fair, Sunday special was horrible! Good thing they didn't have enough to complete our order. Drinks: the passion fruit cooler was stale No napkins were given with the meal, when we asked they offered us blue roll! Cutlery was dirty, even after asking for another set. Not going back there again.

The customer service was terrible, waiting in the queue and the staff were serving other people first. The place was not cleaning. Tables were dirty and sticky as well as the floor. The food was terrible, the vegetables were not fresh. There were no meals options. The drinks were also terrible. There were no napkins. There was no cutlery and when given cutlery were very dirty. If I could give the rating 0, I would. Very disappointed will not go there again.

What can I say? From start to finish our evening here was brilliant, great atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning. Cheers guys

My local boozer, friendly staff, good pub grub and beers are kept well. Great beer garden too (fully enclosed). They’re also dog friendly for well behaved pooches. Locals are all friendly, you may want to avoid when Villa and Blues are playing as it might be a little more manic in there at those times.

Too many cars using carpark as a school pickup area.and kids using it as a shortcut from beacon school.was once nice pub till refurb.. parking needs monitoring.its very off putting.

Google shows the pub opens at 11am. I am literally outside the pub now and it's closed. Tried calling the number on Google several times but no answer. Such a waste of journey!

My mother and father have just come back from your establishment and the cappuccino was Luke warm musey peas wei dry for my mother and father said to much batter on the fish. Mashed potatoes were also dry. The price was too expensive for the waiting time and the meal provided was not up to standard as a customer expected. So therefore you get no star rating from my mother and father.

Booked today for Mother's day lunch, was quickly seated. Although fully booked the restaurant was fairly quiet. The Sunday lunch was so nice, excellent value for money! Kirsty our waitress was helpful and polite.

What a lovely idea of a pub. But understaffed and no idea of sport. I watched 15 minutes of England rugby with the news on and the response was to put pop music on. Sue is a legend. But the rest of the staff seem in bothered. Will be down the horns and leap more.

Service was a bit slow, only seemed to be two workers in the whole bar! But they were really friendly and food was good.

Food is fine but the chef was on his first shift so waiting for an hour for food was annoying but was offered a refund but the food had been delivered finally and was okay just need the chef to get his act together probably not going back

Great to see how this pub has evolved and become an asset to the area once more. After several failed attempts by previous owners/landlords this place is now a fantastic place to eat and drink and feels very welcoming. Pub has recently been refurbished. Most impressed. Nice atmosphere. Food good value for money. One criticism was we had to wait a little too long to be served but I would recommend it and we will certainly be going back.

Nice food, turkey roast meat was very watery/ soft. Gammon egg n chips was great and the 8oz steak was very nice. If having roast dinner stay away from turkey and have beef. Only other down point was no Ales on draft. Pub was nicely decorated.

Have only just started using the cat even though I live within a couple of minutes away but fancied trying it again since it was refurbished and it's faultless and I've been using it a few times with my family and I've not been disappointed each time the food is perfect and great choice on the new menu and the sweets are huuuuge !!! Everyone you must give it a try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!!! Best pub in the area and I love the queslett but the new cat is my new first choice!!

Sound little local, plenty of outdoor seating, Jack Grealish is known to pop in for a few scoops sporadically. The cat has recently been refurbished & it's so so much more inviting. They've opened up the bar & made it into a dining area as you enter which just seems much more up to date. The pool table is still there km happy to say & the outside area has been cleaned & tidied up. Bar staff are nice & the food is exactly as it should be 'pub grub' no airs or graces. Lots of free parking. Absolutely smashing

Nicely done out pub, aimed as a sports bar. No draft ales which was a disappointment. Food was nice but incredibly slow. Nearly an hour for 2 sandwiches during a quiet lunchtime. Service was spotty.

First time I've been in this establishment after several recommendations.. and was very surprised..! I originally was looking for a dog friendly establishment for me to attend along with my mother and young teen daughter.. After parking up we entered the establishment and was pleasantly surprised how friendly folk were. On top of this the open planned modern contemporary layout was easy on the eye and very clean. We were approach by a lovely lady (Sophie) who was very helpful, pleasant and charming.. I happened to bump into the manager (Ben) who again was very welcoming and made our visit enjoyable. Ordered food and drinks and both very reasonable in price. We'll definitely be attending again.. A big thank you to all the staff and especially Ben and Sophie. ❤️🍻🙌🏼🍀
