Geweldig goed gegeten. Sfeervol klein restaurantje. Zowel afhaal en zitten. Geen poespas maar gewoon goed eten en lekkere koffie. Goede bediening.

Nice wee cafe in the Grassmarket.Funky interior, friendly waiters, really good coffee, and delicious food. Quite small so can get busy but that's a good sign. And not too pricey either! We went for breakfast but does lunches and snacks too. Well worth checking out

Discovered this amazing little cafe for breakfast, drawn in by the amazing array of cannoli in the window! Although small inside, a table was found for us quickly and we were warmly welcomed in by a charming and friendly young man. We started off with coffee and 2 amazing pistachio cannoli, the best ever! Then followed by bagels with salmon, cream cheese and avocado, the bagels were so soft and tasty. The best food experience in Edinburgh, we highly recommend.

Lovely little cosy cafe. Had the full Scottish - lovely. One of us had the pancakes. Lovely. One of us had full British. Again lovely. Coffees were superb too. Service was quick and on point. Great price also.

This is a great little cafe located on the southern side of Grassmarket, away from all of the pubs. Super friendly team, great music and a comfortable, easy vibe. Breakfast was great, highly recommend.

We were a group of 8 guys visiting Edinburgh at the weekend and came across Castlegate due to it being close to our hotel. We didn't realize how lucky we were to come across this absolute gem. Firstly, the staff were amazing and so attentive. It's not a big establishment yet they use the space they have really well. It's not easy trying to accommodate a group our size plus extra people but they did it with ease. And they were so friendly as well, always smiling and making sure everyone in the cafe was looked after. Secondly, the food. Honestly I had a feeling it would be good but it was nothing short of exceptional. I had the avocado toast with salmon one morning and the omelette the next and they were sensational. The lads had everything from pancakes to full British breakfasts, all said they were brilliant. The coffees were also delicious and the pastries they do in the cafe are delightful. Honestly could not fault the team there and really appreciate how well they looked after us while there. If you're looking for a great place to start the day or somewhere to stop off during your day, look no further, this is it!! Amazing view of Edinburgh Castle from the cafe as well!

Absolutely delightful experience! The ambiance was charming, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. Our breakfast was superb, exceeding all expectations. Would highly recommend this cozy gem for a wonderful dining experience!

Came here for breakfast during our stay and what a breakfast it was. Staff were very attentive with fast service and food. Food was delicious and well presented. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. We did have to wait outside for 5 mins due to how busy the cafe was but it was well worth the wait and staff came out to see it and kept us informed of how long the wait would be. Staff were also very accommodating and it was no trouble to change certain elements of the dish due to preference. Would come here again and recommend to anyone.

Visited purely due to struggling during the lunchtime rush and very happy we did. Lovely lunch had and great service and food provided. It is very compact so a fair bit of shuffling past chairs. This just added to the experience :-)

I had Eggs Royale for breakfast two days running, this one was way better than the Sheraton Hotel’s - flavour, presentation, service. Great place that does it all with pride.

Day two of Littlest Foodie and me visiting Edinburgh. We were lucky to get a table at this adorable little restaurant. After being kindly greeted we were shown to one of the last two tables remaining. It was a bitterly cold January morning and we were heading up to The Castle so there was no question, breakfast had to be substantial. So two full cooked breakfasts it was with a green tea for me and hot chocolate for LF to wash it all down. The service was great from start to finish and the food didn't disappoint.

Honestly the best breakfast we have had in a long time! The service from Mary and Ibrahim made it all even better - so helpful and polite. We are gutted we were so full because everything on the menu looked amazing. We will be back here for sure next time. Definitely worth it :)

We came here for some coffee and were pleasantly surprised by their delicious soup of the day. My friend had the lentil soup and really enjoyed it. The portion was also really big and not too expensive. We also tried one of their smoothies, which was so good that we came back a few days later to have it again. Their coffee was also great!!! The service was also great and the staff was really friendly and welcoming.

Excellent service, lovely unique environment with great views of the castle. You also get scrumptious food and it’s great value for money.

We had to stop somewhere for some food, and we ended up eating here, Great food and they serve really refreshing drinks like the freshly squeezed orange juice and they serve a variety of smoothies, really nice, will go back.

It’s an amazing place which I really recommend to visit if you go to Edinburgh. The waiter was extremely friendly and she enjoyed helping people out. The meals were also truly amazing. I think you should be there early because it looked pretty popular.

Great little spot in the Grass Market area! Initially only got flat whites and a little dessert, but we can back for lunch and then again for brunch on another day! The food is delicious- we highly recommend the Mac & Cheese Croquettes!

Best falafel I have had in UK, great coffee friendly service and last but not least fresh Cannoli. Highly recommend

The food is good, a solid 4/5. The service is easily a 8/5. They were accommodating of allergies, offering sensible alternatives. And they were fantastic with some tired and somewhat grumpy small children. A definite small gem.
