Just been in 4 meals £94 bill reduced to £80 but wasn't worth £8 very bland no taste at all wouldn't recommend to any one to eat there we won't be going again no way rather have a pot noddle

Lovely food, however the lamb was quite tough and Chewy, the table we were sat at was very wobbly and difficult to eat from as each time one of us lent on it all the plates and glasses moved. But very friendly staff and clean.

Some of the best Indian food I've ever eaten. Very generous portions and reasonably priced too. Highly recommended! 😋

Went for first time with some friends and everything was very good, not exceptional. Nice variety on menu, good service and all the food was great, and a nice ambience, not too expensive. Would recommend and will certainly go back.

Had a takeaway last night and it was delicious, can’t recommend enough. The Balti had loads of flavour and the lemon fried rice had strong lovely flavours. The best lemon fried rice I have ever had. The naan bread was delicious and not too doughy. Loads of choice on the menu to suit everyone. The staff were friendly and there was a nice bar area where you can sit and have a drink waiting for your order.

Very good food, the dishes we had were spiced well and at an appropriate strength. Bombay potato has a very nice, unique flavour too. Price is a bit above average but the quality reflects it. Good service even on a busy night. We'll definitely be going back, better than anything in Oswestry.

Totally disappointed with food and service won't be going there again

Few days ago I went there in catlse tandoori for indian food and that was really fantastic in one word. Deco is also very fascinating. Best indian Restaurant at Chirk in Wrexham. Can't wait to go again. .

We ate take away but the restaurant itself looked lovely! Food was very good quality but I have deducted a star for the price. Fifty quid for a take away for 3 people two of whom are vegetarian…

Myself and my wife had been staying at the local Caravan site (Lady Margaret's) when we decided to try the local Indian restaurant. We are so glad we did! The food was excellent and the service and decor created a great atmosphere to enjoy our meal. We will be back next month and will have no hesitation to visit again. Give it ago and support the local community. - I recommend the Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi.

Just had dine in. The best tandoori in a long time. It tasted just how it should layers of spices juicy meat I was gutted when it was gone Haa. Can't wait for my next visit. Service great. friendly. The place looks terrific 👌 definitely worth a visit.

We had a lovely meal here tonight whilst on a weekend break. We arrived as it opened on Saturday and were given a warm welcome. The setting is clean and modern with a relaxing atmosphere. We all enjoyed our meals (even the normally fussy children). Everything was delicious and well presented. Would definitely recommend and visit again if in the area.

Called for a takeaway tonight. Wednesday 10th January '24, wife had Chicken Tikka Dansak, Garlic rice, ...she was very disappointed...I had Chicken Biriani...bloody awful.. haven't been there for ages...won't be going again. ...we're done!!

Ordered a takeaway, chicken korma and chicken dhansak, can honestly say its not like any dhansak I've ever tasted before and I've been having this as my favourite Indian for over 20 years, it was very tomatoey and didn't appear to have lentils, the only recognising factor was a sad piece of pineapple. Just really disappointed as food was good before but now more expensive and not as good. Which only leaves Mrs Lee's which is always good.

Just picked up a takeaway from Castle Tandoori 15/12/23 pm Feeling hungry we ordered Chiken Korma's Pilau Rice, Naan, Sag Paneer and Onion Bagees Korma having lots of meat however very dissapinted with the quality of the sauce very weak in taste and not very creamy, the onion bajees tasting stale as if they had been cooked an age ago in time, the rice very watery This is my first time ordering from this Indian restaurant sadly won't be coming back

Never been here before but it was very welcoming. The place was spotless and the food arrived hot and delicious. Can't fault the host either as he was very friendly

We last visited this restaurant 9 years ago, since when it has been transformed into a modern, open plan design. Tables are reasonably spaced out, the food is good and the service fine. Free parking the other side of the main road.

The food was nothing short of tasteless, and at £45 for 3 courses I was left not only in shock but truly disappointed

I found the lamb tikka Jalfrazi really tasty. The two gentlemen that served me were also very nice people. I would definitely recommend this curry house. Great food and service.

Hi all first visit this Indian the castle must say food was amazing got plenty had takeaway as was staying down rd at camp site.must say very nice staff 'went back as forgot my car keys lol.but will drive back for sit down soon though hour away from us well worth visit.if like Indian tks guys.

Travelled from Liverpool to Llangollen via narrow boat, tried several Indian restaurants stopping along the way. I'll be reviewing them too. For now though here is my review for Castle tandoori. The staff are friendly and polite, the premises are clean and no smell of damp etc like we experienced at Adyans in Llangollen. The food is excellent. Bajis were crisp and fresh and very tasty. The best thing about this place for me were the king prawn tandoori. The prawns are massive and meaty, with the tails left on, and the black line cut out. I was told I could also get them in the full shell too💯. The tikka masala sauce was thick and creamy. Outstanding compared to others we've been to. Can highly recommend this little gem 👌👌👍

Shocking service, bad staff attitude a d terrible food. We waited two hours for food. It was bland and luke warm. The korma and the madras both tasted the same. Staff were rude, apparently short staffed yet one waiter was polishing his shoes by the bar. Sadly we had paid for the take away and they would not give us our money back. We would have had better food and service at the local pet shop. People waiting hours for food and yet they kept allowing online orders.

Arrived at 9pm on a Friday evening. Waited till 9.15 to be seated. Ordered and food arrived 9.40pm. Sweeping floor cleaning cafe/restaurant and doors opened at 10pm. Rushed out the door by 10.15pm. Earliest closing indian I have ever visited. Really only suited as a takeaway. For the short time we were there struggled to hear each other despite there being not more than 15 persons in the cafe. Too many hard surfaces which seems to make an audio din. Food mediocre and service rushed. Spent £145 and rushed out within space of an hour. Won't be returning

Visited the Castle Tandoori for the first time with friends. We have been touring various Indian Restaurants in & around mid Wales so always interested to try a new one. We were quickly given a table but had to ask for plates & cutlery as table wasn't properly set. Ordered 4 pints - £5.60 each for pints of Cobra or Atlantic pale ale. Poppadoms were fresh & crunchy but some were broken & not complete. Pickle tray which consisted of mango, mint & chopped onions were very small portions, the smallest yet. The meals were served quickly and were freshly cooked. The service however, was lacking. The crockery plates/bowls were handed out but not wiped as they were placed down (and they 'needed' wiping). Also, they were not hot. The curry's were almost chucked on the middle of the table. There was no personal service and we were certainly not made to feel welcome. It's the small touches that make the difference - no wet towels after our meal, no chocolate or boiled sweet with the bill & no change was offered when we left the cash. Got the impression if you are a local or a regular you are ok, otherwise get in, eat, pay up & get out. Sorry but won't be returning or recommending..

We liked the refurbishment and atmosphere, but the food was a bit disappointing. We ordered 2 vegetable curries which contained mainly big slices of undercooked green onions (well, I found 2 peas and one little piece of cauliflower), the chicken tikka masala had the sweetness of a dessert. whilst the lentil dhal was totally bland. On the positive side, the Sagwalla was quite nice. We certainly preferred the food before the refurbishment.

We were staying locally, and had a takeaway from here (it's a pity they don't offer a delivery service). The food was superb, freshly cooked, and piping hot. We had a range of lamb, chicken and veg dishes, and they were all beautifully spiced and really tasty. Even the poppadoms were lovely! We'd highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely be back when we're next staying locally.

Very nice restaurant a sleek welcoming design I had a chicken tikka and it came on a sizzler which was fun. Another family member had a chicken madras was beautiful perfect level of spice. Another family member had a chicken tikka vindaloo and it was beautiful a lot of spice. So this means there is multiple levels of spice for different people I enjoy this place and recommend you go here.

Food was one of the tastiest we have had for a long time. Not only the quality of ingredients, the cooking but also huge (for me) portion sizes. We will visit again back from Bristol again.

Me and my partner shared a coconut rice, garlic chicken bhuna and chicken tandoori, and it was the best curry we’ve ever had. Service was amazing, food arrived so quickly and were leaving very happy! Will be coming back..tomorrow.

My favourite food is a Indian curry and found this place on a visit to Chirk. Thankfully, we got a table despite not booking. The staff were polite, and the food came fairly quickly. I had a Madras, and it was a lovely thick sauce with a nice hot and spicy test as it should be. The chips were tasty as well as was my wife's food. The price was fair, and the place was clean and tidy

The staff on arrival were friendly and welcoming but there was only two of them and it was quickly apparent they were struggling to serve customers in a timely manner. 20 mins in we got our drinks, 30 mins and the order was taken. The food unfortunately was poor to be kind. I do know my Indian foods having holidayed in India and lived in the Midlands for many years. I ordered a Chicken tikka Naga, which has a very distinctive taste from the Naga Chilli. When the dish arrived the rice was cold and had to go back to be microwaved? The curry itself was not much warmer. Upon tasting it , it was quickly apparent that no Naga chilli had been used but a lot of chilli powder had! My wife ordered a Massala with coconut rice. The curry was extremely sweet and the rice had just had desiccated coconut excessively sprinkled on it. This was our first trip out for an Indian since moving to the area and we had both been really looking forward to it. We had both worked all day and both extremely hungry. For this reason we both tried to consume the food served but soon wished we had not, my wife had a poorly tummy a few hours later and I woke up early the next morning very much the same. The restaurant was cold with little blow heaters scattered here and there and several customers sat eating with jackets on. All in all if you want a good quality meal for your hard earned cash, give this place a miss!

Really nicely laid out restaurant. Chicken tikka pathia really nice, fairly hot. Chips really good, garlic naan bread very good! Nice and crispy instead of thick and doughy.. reasonably priced too. Whilst the food was very good the restaurant was freezing. It doesn't make for a particularly enjoyable evening eating with your coat on. I'll be back when the weather is warmer or when they've fixed their heating. Sorry.

Absolutely superb. We are based just outside Chester, so about 20 mins from here. We used to go occasionally before covid, and went today for the first time since covid. It was absolutely outstanding. Amazing food, and fantasticly refurbished and good value. As a family of regular takers of Indian/Bangladeshi food, we all concluded that this is one of the best we've been to, and better than any in Chester. Great service, lovely people and amazing food. This will probably become our 'Go-to'.
