Fabulous Indian restaurant.. small and intimate.. perfect if you want excellent food in a private environment

This restaurant is now permanently closed. The sign in the window says it has been repossessed. Do not order online, you will not get a confirmation email and all phone lines are dead.

Excellent customer service. The food was delicious. They also do a delivery service which was fast and the portion size is big. I would highly recommend them.

What a find! Our first visit to Anisa this evening. Excellent food, great service by very friendly staff. One of our best Indians ever. Will definitely be back.

What a great find. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The food was up there with the best we’ve had. Popadums were fresh and plenty of pickles on the pickle and chutney tray. All the starters were delicious, mains were amazing and piping hot. Hot wipes at the end of the meal to freshen up and chocolate mints with the bill. They only serve soft drinks but allow you to bring your own alcohol ( no corking charge). Highly recommend and will return again when in the area.

We visited whilst on holiday and so glad we did. The food was delicious and the owner was very kind and friendly. I was very happy the chef came out to see us too, so I could thank him for the lovely meal. It's just a shame this restaurant isn't closer to our home as we would definitely visit often. I regularly visit Anisa to eat on my trips up here Wow I am never disappointed amazing beautiful dishes of cullany excellence hits ever single spot .melts in the mouth ,totally delicious. Totally recommend this restaurant, love them You will not be disappointed. Friendly staff lovely 😍

1 star hygiene, poor delivery service and terrible customer service. When asked about hygiene rating they simply removed me from their Facebook page. Guilty !!!! 1 star service eith 1 star food

Had a takeaway home delivery. Excellent food salad fresh and tasty. King prawns juicy and rice fluffy. Nor enjoyed a meal so much in a long time.

Food was absolutely gorgeous. The chicken was so tender and the flavours of the sauce in the dishes were incredible. One of, if not the best Indian takeaway I have had. We are on holiday from Oxford, glad we found this restaurant. Staff seem lovely and friendly. 100% recommend.

We were on a narrow boat holiday and walked to the restaurant as the reviews were very good. We had a delicious meal and the staff were very welcoming and professional. I left my torch behind and staff even drove to bring it back for me.

Passing through Chirk as we often do ,decided to pop into Anisa,we had bean meaning to try it out and I’m glad we did ,we were welcomed by Taj the host ,The decor seating music and general Ambience were excellent. We chose our starters and had a Pepsi each as Alcohol is not served here,these came in a short time ,my chicken chaat was good my wife and son were pleased with the starters they chose,I had Dupiaza for main course again very nice my son choosing Chicken Tikka Masala which was a very bright almost day glow red which I guess is what the British public expect,however my son said it was one of the best he had ever had and believe me he has had many all over India and Europe,we will definitely be going there again ,and I would recommend anyone to give it a try

Had a fantastic meal tonight. The curry was really authentic, and probably one of the best that ive tasted. We were seated very quickly and food arrived in a timely manner, with enough time given between each course. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this indian restaurant.

Just had a delivery to lady Margarettes I had popadoms mint sauce , chicken tikka biryanis the husband had half rice half chips , onion,chicken tikka balti I can honestly say it was the best Indian meal in ages everything was delicious thanks to the chef , also said it would take between 45mins to an hour it was speedy 30minuits 👍

Up there with the worst curries I've experienced, ordered butter chicken and received what looked like a tikka massala with butter. Naan bread was doughy and undercooked. All round poor

We’ve been visiting this restaurant every time we stay in our caravan at Foxtail holiday park, we’re always met by the owner how is very pleasant and helpful when asked anything regarding the menu, the food is very good we’ve never had a bad meal, the only downside you could say is that’s it’s not got licence however you can take your own alcohol with you, We will definitely be visiting again

Left a review but can't leave another so editing my last one been back as I said I would to what I can only describe as the best Indian food I have ever had and I'm not a big Indian foodie but this place is something else yet again tried a different meal and two for two the food was lush and left me feeling fat and plump and I now want to try something else food had just enough spice to know it was hot but didn't kill any of the flavour staff are friendly and was even thanked on entry for the last post that was left in march thank you too the chef and the staff for great service and great food again love Anisa money well spent

We are from Staffordshire & we visit Chirk in Wales alot as we have a caravan & we can honestly say this is the best Indian restaurant we have eaten and we've been all over the country as the food is so freshly made

Staying at local caravan site decided to order a takeaway from here. Had the balti south Indian garlic chicken tikka with mushroom rice and garlic naan. Phoned order through and was ready in 20 minutes. Best Indian we have had in a while. Highly recommended and will definitely return when back in the area.

By far the BEST curry I have had in a very long time! Visited Anisa for the first time tonight for my birthday... I will definitely be going back again! I honestly don't know how you are not full every night. The food was absolutely amazing! Starters were just the right size, the mains and sides were perfectly cooked, perfectly flavoured and seasoned. The meat was mouth watering. All the staff were warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We even asked for a mango drink not on the menu and they were more than happy to bring a jug out. I honestly don't have one complaint, niggle or bad comment about Anisa, infact the absolute opposite. Lovely people and amazing food. Such a great place for quality and fairly priced food which tastes great. Thank you for a great evening 😊

Very quiet tonight - Monday. All the better for us as food was best we've had in a long time. Fresh and flavoursome. Not rushed between course and reasonably priced. Will be back for sure.

Waited 2 hours for delivery and it was incorrect. Then refused refund by very rude staff. Avoid at all costs, Chirk tandoori much better just up the road.

Been to this restaurant two years ago no problem and food was good... Amazing how things can change in just two years. Four people arrived for dinner last night, my wife noticed the Restaurant Wrexham Council legal food hygiene rating of only 1 Star right on the front door. We immediately stopped and DID not enter and headed straight back to the car to look for another restaurant. I decided to call the restaurant to see if there was a mistake or had they hany any changes to the rating & may have been upgraded...well to my total surprise, the guy who answered the phone at the restaurant exact reply was when i asked is that correct you are only rated 1 star for food hygiene the guy replied " wheres the problem man with one star, im still trading aint i". At that point i had to reply...are you not embarrassed or trying to work at getting a better rating 4 or 5 for your customers. He replying " No man im already busy" and put the phone down. Well what can i say......restaurant has 1 star food rating. Guys attitude on telephone has 1 star attitude rating. We will never return....

Great food and service even though they were really busy

The front of house staff was quite rude and was more interested in his phone, messaging and taking calls. It took over an hour to get my order. When the food did turn up, it wasn't very tasty. I will not be going back!

Always a high quality experience at Anisa. We've visited for years now and always had really good, hot and tasty food from the takeaway service. Would highly recommend. Can't comment on the restaurant side as we haven't yet sat down for a meal, but if it's as good as the takeaway then you will be very happy indeed. The premises are not licensed so take your own drinks if you are sitting in 👍🏻

I was happy with that but two hours later I am beginning to think that the level service is appalling. I don't think I will be ordering a takeaway again. 1 Anisa Indian Restaurant/Takeaway (owner) an hour ago Hi we do apologise for the late delivery will try to improve our delivery service in the future thanks Please read above my Mother's review two weeks ago and the response this evening from the Anisa. What the response does not detail is that she had to visit the Anisa to get a refund on this meal after returning it with the delivery man (who was delightful and apologetic) two hours and twenty minutes after she ordered it. What it also omits to inform you dear reader is that she was met with a barrage of insults and told never to order from the Anisa ever again and to 'go somewhere else and cause trouble'! Good food, hugely disappointing delivery service and appalling customer service!

First meal delivery from this restaurant. No way, ever again. Food at time of eating was greasy. For the last 24 hours myself and my husband have had ongoing stomach pains, stink rotten non stop toilet. Still on the toilet still stink still pains in the stomach. This was the only thing we ate yesterday Absolutely outrageous to have to pain for this it's absolutely disgusting Can only hope by tomorrow this ongoing stomach trouble stops THIS IS NOT FAKE REVIEW PROOF, OUT OF THE TOILET

Chirk Cricket Club Strollers XI, the Veterans/ Leisure side, went to the Anisa for its end of season meal. We had a great time. The food was excellent, the service great, and the staff very friendly and helpful. We'll be back, individually and collectively.

We dined here a few weeks ago while on a weekend away. The service from Taj and the staff was fantastic and the food brilliant. I'm from Sheffield and we have some good Indian restaurants here but I have to say the food was the best I've had in a long time. Mixed kebab starter followed by a lamb Karhi and keema rice. There are two Indian restaurants in Chirk both are good ( so you are spoilt.if you want food cooked similar to what an Asian family would expect then Anisa is the restaurant I would choose over the other in Chirk. The Atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed

Took almost 2 hours to be delivered when told it would be 45-60 mins - called back twice and told each time the driver had set off - food must have been in car for more than 40 mins - salad was almost cooked as it was in same carrier bag as hot food which was Luke warm at best due to not being in an insulated bag - if we weren't so hungry we would have sent it back.

I've given the Anisa restaurant 5 stars which I feel is deserved for the quality & flavour of the food which was absolutely delicious, but and I'm sorry for this the wait for the food to be brought out was way too long at an hour and a half after ordering. This was also a takeaway as well as restaurant and they were very busy with takeaway orders, this may have been the reason we had to wait so long. If you don't mind waiting the food will be worth it.

Would have got 5 stars however service was very slow. We arrived at 7pm and didn't get out food u til 8:30pm. Everyone including those who had ordered takeaways were complaining. Need more staff. The food is excellent

Ordered a takeaway, I’m a regular visitor. Last couple of times, delivery time poor. Stayed 40 minutes, arrived after 2 hours. Items missing, called back to be told they would send them out. Another hour gone (3 hours in total) missing items still not arrived....

On a return trip to Anisa’s my friend and I enjoyed a wonderful meal, the lamb chilli tikka dish in particular, this was really flavoursome, rich and a great sized portion. Also a 10 out of 10 for the fluffy chapatti’s. Side dishes didn’t disappoint...
