Castle Pizza Cottingham in East Riding of Yorkshire

We use Castle all the time and it's been great up until last couple of weeks. Last week they forgot our garlic bread, they argued that I hadn't ordered it and then checked the order and realised I had so had to deliver it after the rest of the food. Tonight they've forgotten the salad and sauces with the kebab and for a large chicken kebab I'd expect more than 5 pieces of chicken. Time to find a new takeaway I think

We have used castle pizza for some time but we have never received such an inedible order. We order 2 pizza and both arrived dripping in grease, there was no tomato base but all the topping slopped off with grease. I called to ask what had happened and the employee said it was new dough which ment it was sloppy. I mentioned there being no tomato sauce and he said maybe too much cheese. They did offer to replace the pizza but said we would need to wait at least half an hour and they would basically be the same. No thank you! 🤢

Very rare these days to find nice Doner meat AND garlic! First time trying here and very impressed. Think we found our new takeout.

I will order 10" next time really filling!

Unfortunately we won’t be ordering from here again. It hurts me to leave a negative review on castle pizza but over the past year it’s progressively gotten worst. When the new management took over the food was tasty and we could deal with the orders being wrong on occasion but unfortunately the food has gotten worse and the orders are ALWAYS wrong. Our last order the chicken had a terrible after taste and the salad had seen better days ( brown and wilted) the chips tasted unpleasant like it was old oil. Really unfortunate because the staff are lovely. Hopefully they will get back on track.

The side salad was tiny and not worth £2 an absolute rip off had to make a salad at home instead 1 piece of cucumber and 1 tomato 👎

Very friendly and helpful, can't do enough for you, and the food is very good, had a few different things over the last weeknights or so, and everything is made fast and to the same high standards, strongly recommend paying them a visit.

Castle Piaaza used to be an excellent takeaway but recently the service has been aweful. Not sure if they’ve changed ownership🤷‍♂️ We have used them as a family for the last 8 years but recently the service has been awefull

Regularly use this takeaway one of the best pizza joints in the area. The kebabs and burgers are pretty good too. Service always fast and polite.

Castle is always delicious, the family, and us, have been going here for years and years. Lately, they've changed up their recipes, it wad always good, but since January it is now absolutely exceptional!! Staff are always really helpful and so friendly. We've rarely had an issue, but when we have it has been rectified promptly with big apologies. I can't fault them at all, fab service and yummy food The pizza if never greasy, the chips are always crisp and not soggy or oily, the kebabs and salad is always fresh and tasty (we have chicken). Can't recommend them enough

Great pizzas, fast delivery, and very consistent with quality. Theirs a few pizza shops in the area, but this is one I keep going back too. Photo is of the Hot & Smelly

Happy I took the gamble trying this place again, the food quality has definitely improved.. the pizza had more of an authentic look and although the spicy beef could of been spicier it was actual minced beef instead of the usual processed rubbish so all in all I’m happy.. hope they only improve from here

I ordered a pizza and a kebab the other night and I was well chuffed with my order 5 stars from me 👍🏼

Ordered from this takeaway but got my order wrong rang them up to say they haven't put sauces on our kebabs they said they would send the driver back with the sauces but never came back so food was waisted. As I like to eat my kabab with sauces on them. Will never use them again

Bought the castle Special platter lastnight which was supposed to be their top item. £21 for (all) the meats but got a stack off doner, 3 scabby pieces of chicken, i piece of lamb ( yes 1) and 2 farmfoods type kofta a handful of fries and a minutè salad....very disappointing never eating from there again total rip off

We paid £38 on Foodhub, the delivery was fairly quick, however the food was no where near expected and disappointing, the 6 piece family box of southern fried chicken was like cheap preformed packet produce, not chicken and this was £12.50 alone, would have been better going to KFC for the same money, the pizza tasted like a pre-baked base, the kebab meat was so pale in colour and tasted under cooked, the chips was the only thing ok, we never received the Free 1.5l bottle of pop advertised on the order which should have been delivered, the sauces was poor, the garlic sauce tasted like yogurt with an hint of garlic, just send out garlic mayo dips in tubs, it isn't hard, quality overall was very poor and if your going to charge £12.50 for 6 piece chicken box, at least are sure it's proper chicken not the cheap stuff I can buy from Iceland, we felt ripped off for the money spend and wouldn't order from them every again, we ended up leaving the majority of it and a wasted of £38, very poor effect from this takeaway!! - Save your money and do yourself a favour and avoid this takeaway.

Been using this takeaway for years, and over the last year it is declining! Just received our order, a royal chicken platter,it was missing the chips, we paid £13.50 for this!!! Also the other month it arrived without the sauces. Unfortunately I will not be using this place anymore. Why can't establishments keep high standards! Overpriced now with very little care to the order!

Food delivered. Forgot sauces and salad and when I called they agreed to replace whole order so food didn't go cold. 10 minutes later (checked on my call log) driver returned with salad and sauces for now cold food. Honestly wish I'd have used ANY of the other local takeaways. Honestly, if you're considering ordering, use someone else. It's just not worth the hassle.

Side salad £2.50 ripped off been ordering for years not ever going again, also delivery charges vary ive noticed.

We love it. For a great deal on pizzas, burgers BLT, amazing cheezy garlic bread! They even do sweetcorn relish (not my cup of tea but my wife loves it) This is one proper pizza takeaway

Absolutely appalled with the meal I ordered - chicken Parmesan. It was not anything remotely as expected. It was like a breaded pizza and extremely small. I am still hungry. I should have had a clue when I rang and ordered it when I mentioned bechamel sauce and the person I spoke to did not know what is was!

Tastiest pizza in Cottingham! Always hot, fresh and delicious. The pizzas aren't greasy, which is absolutely great. The chicken kebabs are actual chicken breast slices which is a rarity, and very tasty with salad.

Food is really good, however go collect it. Often we have had things missing when it's delivered but never when we collect. Tonight was the worst though. 2 hours to deliver after being told 45 minutes. They give you a free drink if you spend over a certain amount. Yep that was missing.

We have been using Castle Pizza for a while now and whilst usually the food is good and the service leaves nothing to be desired, I feel on this occasion that I must complain. I ordered at 17:15 hrs, I received an expected delivery time of 18:21 hrs and by 18:30 hrs had not received anything (food nor email saying there was a delay), so I gave them a call - I spoke to a female voice who didn't sound bothered and told me they'd had a mad rush and that in a further 15 minutes or so the food would be sent out - i.e. an extra half an hour before I would receive my order.

Used Just Eat website to place our order for the 1st time with The Castle Pizza tonight. Which was a very simple and straightforward, delivery was Great , on time and by a very pleasant young lady . The Pizzas were Delicious, 100% recommend and will definitely order from there again 👍

We ordered like an hour and three quarters ago and still no food has arrived it best be worth the nearly two hour wait

First time ordering at castle pizza, ordered 2 chicken kebab and chips,delivered on time , good service from delivery guy. Food absolutely delicious lots of chicken,salad was fresh and an added bonus with coleslaw we really enjoyed it! Definitely be ordering again. Well done guys 👍 will most definitely recommend.

First time ordered from Castle Pizza. Delivery on time with very sociable driver who was very conscious of social distancing and dressed in PPE accordingly. Chicken kebabs were excellent and lots of it. Nice salad and sauces. Decent price with delivery too. Will recommend and definitely our new go to place. Well done Castle Pizza.

Weve just had an order delivered (which is very tasty) but what touched me was that the delivery driver (who left it on the doorstep and stood at the gate) when I told him I had to self isolate for 12 weeks he offered that if there was anything at all that I needed to just let him know! How lovely is that?

Ordered a few times got order wrong missing items happened more than once. this time no apology or order correcting paid for food we didnt receive not the first time but definitely the last

Good food but the order is always wrong, the delivery time is terrible, last order took 1 1/2hrs to arrive and cold (currently warming in the oven) confusing the amount of apps they have all stating different things, this is the last time I will be using them 👎

Mixed kebab platter is the mutts nuts.... however no dogs bits are included 😂 awesome food from this place, definitely recommend 👍🏼

Use here a couple of times a week work construction all week so can't be arsed cooking when get home haha. Been in there tonight an got my usual medium donner meat an medium cheese chips got home an donner meat is hard a thin like crispy bits of bacon not happy as is my local takeaway an use a lot

I used this takeaway regularly when it opened and was pleased with the service, especially delivery times. Sadly this eventually tailed off. One delivery was very late. I rang and spoke to the manager and wasn't completely happy with his response, so stopped using them. Last night I decided to give them another chance. I went to collect my order this time. They seemed to get in a muddle with their orders but it was a nice touch that I was offered a bottle of drink to compensate for my wait. However after I had made the short journey home. I discovered that most of the order was not that hot and that one pizza was over done and cold. I like to support local businesses but won't be going back there in a hurry, I'm afraid.

Ex staff or no ex staff iv seen what goes on when the management is not there and the cook well what can I say never will I work or order here again and wen people find out u lob food on the floor then cook it

When i rang they did not know what was on there menu asked me if i new the number on the menu and told me to order off just eat had really good orders previously think they need someone that understands there menu in shop all the time

Ordered a chicken burger, which was a very small reformed grey burger. Pizza was on a cooked from frozen pizza base and the garlic bread was embarrassing. Defiantly won't be using it again.
