Went here for my wife's birthday, we couldn't fault it, the food was amazing and the service was first class. We will be differently returning.

Lovely restaurant in the village of Warminster. Walked in and was seen to and seated immediately. The staff are SO lovely which made the experience so warm. I had the spag bol which was delicious and my boyfriend had a ham and cheese calzone which he also really enjoyed. Prices are okay. Menu is vast. Toilets were clean. Couldn’t say anything bad!

Came in for a birthday on the Friday evening for a birthday Staff were excellent and so was the food. Alan who’s birthday it was had never been to a Italian restaurant and wants to go back already. We all had superb food

We have been here a few times since Covid to support a local business. They have been fantastic each time and there are plenty of gluten free options. I can also vouch for the cocktails as very well made. Staff are always friendly and attentive.

My fiance and I went there last night for a meal. The service was very good but 3 out of 4 dishes were very bland. They were also very underseasoned but even after adding seasoning the dishes still lacked flavour. The house red was very good however. Won't be rushing back.

Visited with another couple on a Friday evening, great to see it was busy. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by a friendly chap whom took us straight to our table. I can not fault the friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff, the food and wine was really excellent, my pizza and tiramisu was lovely and everyone else enjoyed their meals, will definitely be returning soon.

First visit to Castello. The food was very good and so was the service. One slight niggle - would have been happier if the staff had been wearing face masks when serving at tables.

Very very highly recommended my wife and I had an early evening meal at Castello and can only praise it. The food was delicious, particularly the Ribeye steaks which were the best we had ever had. The restaurant decor is very pleasing, the staff are attentive and friendly. Varied menu and good food. The toilets are clean and tidy. We booked, and were glad we did, as this is a popular place. The restaurant is clean, tidy and has comfortable seating. Low lighting makes for a romantic setting too. Would recommend and we will be back.

We love Castello. The service is absolutely fantastic. The food divine. We can always rely on a fantastic evening out when visiting this restaurant. We are local to this restaurant and it's always our first port of call when wanting to eat out.

First time I've been here... Staff very welcoming. I went for SCALLOPS pan fried served with risotto, nduja sausage, parmesan, onion and parsley as a starter. Scallops really tender so perfectly cooked and risotto spot on. No sign of the nduja sausage which when I enquired was told it was in the 'sauce' of the risotto which I'm afraid I didn't believe. A crumble of the nduja sausage would have really made this dish.Main course I had LAMB RUMP served with roasted aubergine, peppers, courgettes, spinach and green beans, thyme jus and a sprig of rosemary. Lamb cooked perfectly to my request.Would I go again - absolutely, well cooked food and quality ingredients and recommend a visit.

We live in Surrey but were staying in warminster on holiday. this restaurant served the best meal we have had in over 4years. we were literally in food heaven.all food cooked fresh from scratch and portions were ample. Service was friendly and polite and we were not rushed. The cocktails were pretty amazing too. Next time we are in the area we will definitely visit again.bravo.

We should have been abroad but Covid got in the way. We booked a short break in Warminster to include a visit to longleat. After a long day visiting the animals we wanted to go out and enjoy a nice meal, this restaurant certainly didn’t disappoint. Everything was delicious and presented well and the waiters were professional and efficient. If you are in Warminster this restaurant is definitely a must - top class .

Part of a chain, guarantees the quality. The building is really nice and before being a restaurant was a bank. You must try this restaurant.

Very welcoming and just the right amount of attention in respect to the service. My daughters Gnocchi and pasta dishes looked fabulous as did mine and tasted superb with good quality ingredients. Equally the wife’s chicken dish was beautifully presented. Good size portions all round so just a couple of desserts for afters - classic Tiramisu and quality ice cream.Super evening for my daughters 30th birthday, one of our best Italian restaurant we have experienced and fully recommended if you in the area.

Haven’t written a review for a while - Covid! First weekend away from kids and an overnight stop in Warminster. Lovely evening spent at Castello. Highly recommend Gamberoni to start - especially if want to share. Negroni cocktail a favourite too! Penne Crema and prawn chilli linguini both excellent. Massive piece of cheesecake to follow (definitely one to share). Service was excellent and massive thanks to Gabriel who made the evening! Definitely recommend!

We visited the restaurant after a day at longleat. We got there a little early but was seated straight away. Our youngest daughter is Coeliac and the the Waiter we had for the evening was great at advising what could be tailored to suit her needs. Have to admit the service in general was excellent, as good as some more expensive restaurants. The food was also excellent, I had risotto and scallops. Large portion and tasted amazing. Even had a tiramisu as it was my birthday! Very much recommended. Pity we were on holiday or we would be back more often!

Steak. Peroni. Service - Excellent. Ate here with friends on 22.08.20. Many of us had steaks which were really good. Peroni on tap. The service was brilliant, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Would recommend.

We come from wales and stayed in a local hotel, we managed to get a table for 10 quickly. The food was outstanding and the service was also amazing. Good value for money. I honestly would travel from Wales just to have a meal here. Was absolutely amazing. Thank you again

Me an my wife had a date night here an it blew us away I had fillet an my wife had lamb , the food was outstanding an the service an friendliness was second to none ! We will be 100% returning , keep up the great work , worth every penny .

My girlfriend and I found ourselves in Warminster looking for somewhere to eat last minute so chose this place. They haven’t reduced the menu due to COVID which is an absolute plus point. All our food tasted amazing, especially the Calzones. The cocktails tasted perfect and the staff were friendly and attentive.

Really enjoyed going back to Castello. Manager greeted us like old friends. I had mushroom to start & calzone my wife had whitebait & chicken in mushroom sauce. Can honestly say the food was excellent, the service was great and we can’t wait to go again.

We were greeted with welcoming arms by the manger when we arrived! There was a delightful atmosphere despite corona. The calzone was made fresh to a high standard! Was appalled to see the recent review of the dish. Was a lovely meal with great service, and delightful cocktails!

At the price point of £16, I would expect the meat calzone to contain good quality, tasty meat. I was deeply disappointed, and a bit disgusted, to cut it open and see bright rubbery cubes of meat. Imagine the cube of pork you might get in a cheap Chinese takeaway special fried rice for example. Total rip off, the meat was clearly of a very low and cheap quality. Avoid at all costs, money can be much better spent elsewhere.

We were staying locally for a few days. There isn’t that much to do around the area hence why we picked it. Nice and quiet. We went for a walk to a local “shopping centre” and found this place at lunch time but decided to come back to it for dinner instead. And we were so glad we did!I had the Tegamaccio for main and it was fantastic! Nice and fresh. My wife had a pizza which was huge, she enjoyed it. Then we shared a tiramisu for pudding. Again it was beautiful!! Great service! Friendly and fast. It’s a shame it was pretty much empty in there when we ate at 6. The decor was really cool. Bare brick walls and exposed copper piping is a great look. Nice and casual but could be romantic. Overall if you are passing or in the area. Try this place out. I’m sure it’s great for lunch too!!

Had our work Christmas-NewYear meal last Saturday. 43 people, all pre ordered and smooth as clockwork, everyone there said the food and service was excellent, will definitely go back!

My husband and I went for a meal there tonight, it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The staff were very polite and friendly. It was our first time here but it definitely won't be the last. My husband finished his meal with the cheese the said it was the best he had ever had. Well recommended.

We first visited in Jan 2019 and had best Calzone ever! Came back before Christmas with our daughter and food better than ever! I had the Chilli prawn linguine which was superb and daughter had the seafood pasta which she said had so much fish in was great! Staff excellent, will return whenever in Ste!

Went early on a Monday but was still made very welcome (although we hadn't booked!). Service was excellent and the good food came quickly. Quite busy for a Monday in December but we were not hurried and felt very welcome.

Have been to Castello's on several occasions and the food is always wonderful! Staff always very pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. We usually go at lunchtime when on Monday - Friday they have a lunchtime menu which consists of items from the main menu for a reduced price - the sizes are exactly the same as the main menu size! Would certainly recommend and will be back again soon. The last time we went (22/11/19) was for my husbands birthday.

The food was good, the service was excellent, but the atmosphere was a bit lacking. Perhaps because it was early on a midweek evening.

Been to Castello in Frome a couple of times and have now been to this one at least five times since it opened in Warminster. Amazing food, great service and lovely decor.

In the area for a few days and thought we would give this Italian restaurant a try. We had one of the best Italian meals we think we have ever had. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance very pleasant. The Genovese bread was a tasty starter and the Strozzapreti Rosso dish was slightly different but a gorgeous meal, I don't think I have had a better pasta dish. Highly recommended.

A beautifully appointed building, an HSBC Bank in another life. Arrived about 8.30pm and virtually the only diners in. The staff were very friendly. Enjoyed a bottle of reasonably priced Argentinian Malbec. The starters of calamari and bruschetta were beautiful. For mains my wife enjoyed a risotto pomodoro and I had the tegamaccio, a first for me.....it was lush. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

We ate here during the first month of the restaurant opening, it is nicely converted from the bank to a pleasant comfortable eating space. The Friday evening we were there it was extremely busy but the staff coped very well and we had our food within 15 minutes of ordering. We have been since for lunch with a group of about 25 people when we were served a selection of dishes on a buffet table; again the staff were very good. Not everyone in the group had been before and they were impressed with the choice and quality of the food offered

Went to Castello in Warminster on Monday night for a birthday celebration. Everyone said their food was excellent and my Parma Pizza was superb.

We were on holiday in the area and found this restaurant. We were really impressed with the fantastic service and great food. I had a special and it was the best pasta dish I’ve eaten in a very long time and the kids loved their pizzas- our plates were clean! Would definitely recommend.

Love Castello! Been a few times now and each time the food is amazing. We’ve tried the lasagna, the pizza’s, carbonara. The cheese is a MUST! It’s delicious! Can’t recommend enough!

Took my mum and my 3 children here for a meal, the service was excellent, friendly staff and delicious food. The deserts were to die for. Would highly recommend a visit if your passing.

Our first visit here and have to say was not blown away. Nice setting and staff friendly and welcoming but just felt a little rushed. My main (pollo con funghi) was nice but was spoilt by the amount of roast potatoes, far too many for my liking. Would of been better with a bit more rocket and less potatoes.

Alles aan onze avond was top. De bediening was heel hartelijk en professioneel. Het eten was heerlijk, goede dunne pizzabodems en de risotto is ook aan te raden. We hebben genoten!

Stopped in Warminster on our way back from Cornwall and had lunch here. Absolutely fantastic meals. I had tuna salad, husband had pasta arrabiata with chicken and extra chillies. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Met the chef and shook his hand. Can't wait to return when we next travel to Cornwall. We've decided we'll stay overnight so we can dine in the evening and enjoy a drink with our meal.

Booked for 9 of us early evening and we had the restaurant to ourselves. We chose to sit upstairs with three youngsters and benefited from the air conditioning on the mezzanine level. Food good, cocktails better. Not a cheap meal for nine and the child’s size pizza is quite large.

Visited last night with family. I knew nothing about the restaurant before the visit so had no preconceived ideas about the quality. Our welcome was good and we were seated efficiently. Choices were made and starters arrived. I had the oil and vinegar with Ciabatta and whilst I enjoyed it, the bread was not open textured and absorbent as you would expect. It was more like thick pizza dough. The strozzapretti Pugliese is described as "traditional hand rolled pasta". As can be seen from the photo (which I have borrowed from another review but was the same as my meal) this pasta is formed by a die and not hand rolled! At £14 for this fist sized portion I was looking forward to some home made pasta as per the menu and whilst I did enjoy the meal because the flavours were good, I was disappointed at what was served. My wife had the "Fruitti de Mare" risotto and said that she enjoyed it but both of us thought it was a bit too salty.

We stopped by Castello for lunch while en route to Stonehenge. The pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and the pizzas didn’t disappoint! Prices were friendly too!

Read the reviews & decided to give it a try and we were certainly not disappointed!! Great friendly staff, nice industrial/contemporary design, great vibe about the place, it was pretty busy but still felt spacious with the high ceilings. Food & drinks delivered quickly as was the food, great mussels for starters and pasta dishes for mains which were well presented and full of flavour and taste. Too stuffed to try desert...will have to give that a go next time! Would highly recommend Castillo to anyone. Enjoy!

Visited the restaurant for the second time last night and we were both as impressed as the first time.

We popped in for an unplanned Sunday lunch and as always had a lovely meal and a great experience. King Prawns in garlic butter starter for me and the better half had mussels. Both were delicious. I had pasta as a main and my wife pizza. Both were very tasty. Portion sizes are generous. Service is friendly and attentive. Our fourth visit and it won't be our last. Highly recommended.

Me and 9 other friends are here for my 40th Birthday meal on Saturday and I have to say what a beautiful restaurant! Lovely, friendly staff and the food was outstanding!

We were a table of six and had a mix of fish dishes, risotto and pasta. Everything was delicious including the panna cotta, chocolate souffle and banoffee pie. Excellent italian coffee (it's important!) and great service. Would definitely recommend and re-visit.

Visited here with my sister. This is a second visit as ideal for a girls only night out. We had Gambaroni & Calamari for starters and a Quattro Stagioni Pizza to share as mains accompanied by White Wine Spritzers.

I booked here to celebrate my 30th birthday with my family and friends.

Oh dear. We pre booked out table (approx 15 of us) and pre booked our food as we only have an hour for lunch. By 145pm nothing had been said by any of the staff about where our food was and we had to chase!!! We explained that we had pre ordered and had to be back by 2pm. The lad serving our table got the manager who then tried to say they were very busy! No, we had pre booked and they had our order and so we should have taken precedence over those walking in off the street etc! We were given 10% off and 2 bottles of wine to say sorry, however, unfortunately this type of mistake doesnt lead us to want to book again in the future for a works do due to time constraints!

Second visit to Castellos and we came especially for the steaks. The first time only one of our party had the steak and we all wished we had too. This time we all had Sirloin steaks. Quite simply it was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten Absolutely delicious full of flavour and a joy to eat. If you are not a steak lover they their Pizzas are also superb. The staff were helpful, attentive and very friendly. A seriously recommended place to visit!

My family ate at the Castello and looked forward to the meal as the TA reviews were all very good/excellent.

This is my 2nd time visiting this particular restaurant and it once again did not disappoint. Whatever you order, you can’t go wrong, so try something different! We shared a starter, pizza, pasta and chicken dishes so got to sample a range of foods from the menu and all were fantastic. Our waiter was attentive but not over the top and he did a great job of answering our questions. We’ll definitely return!

Eight of us visited for a little family get together over the weekend. Everything was amazing, from the friendly and prompt service to the delicious food and drinks. The whole experience was faultless and I can't wait to return!
