Casa Mia Italian Restaurant in Leeds

I was really looking forward to eating the cheesecake’s I bought at Shipley farmer’s market, it was expensive but they looked really good on the stand. They were overpriced and very bland don’t pay the price they are not worth it.

£6 for a stale Canolli filled with cheap squirty cream instead of ricotta and icing sugar. Cardinal sin. Don't bother coming back to Saltaire farmers market with this garbage again.

Bought some cake and biscuits from a stall at the Lancashire steam festival, £39 for 4 biscuits a small cake and 3 cannelloni! No prices are shown, and they were definitely not worth the cost!

Bought 2 tarts from Richmond market by this company, no flavour no taste absolutley terrible NEVER again and VERY overpriced for tge rubbish it is

I spent £12 for a chocolate cake slice, a croissant and a donut. Prices are ridiculously high if I think that in Italy I would have spent no more than €5 for all of them. Anyway I thought it would have worth every penny. No, it doesn't. Donut is good but the chocolate cake and the cornetto (sold as "still hot" after a long day out in the cold air) are below the expectations. I'm Italian and I had real good food all my life. This is average level and overpriced. For sure it doesn't worth the money I spent.

I've honestly had better pizzas from Icelands freezers and the pasta was amazingly below standard and temperature. We ate in and couldn't help noticing the sounds of pinging microwaves from the kitchen and that is an instant alarm for any self respecting customer. I couldn't also help noticing the familiarity of their wine which I had seen in B&M for around £4 on the shelves, I honestly thought they were going to. Bring the Blue Nun out next 🤣 All jokes aside they aren't the authentic Italian experience by no means however, they do have the audacity to charge what they do for these "microwave" TV dinners. Absolutely shocked they are still going however I won't be, especially through them doors again.

Visited their stall a couple of times at Knaresborough market and today at Chatsworth House. Absolutely amazing doughnuts and gluten free amaretti type biscuits. Very impressed

Got a chance to try their stuff at Malton Food Market. The sfogliatelle was nice, if a bit hard. The cannoli... Wasn't real cannoli. I was quite disappointed, as clearly the ricotta was mixed with whipped cream. By the time we had it it had flattened out completely.

We visited the stall in Otley market today and the service was amazing. She was so personable and explained everything as I am gluten free. I loved the Italian amaretto cookie. So chewy and so much flavour. I will definitely be back to get more goodies.

Found this company at Hexham market and thought their food looked amazing. I bought 2 cannolis, a very small calzone (mozzarella and tomato) and two doughnuts and was charged £21. I was quite taken aback but I thought okay well the food surely must be good- nope, bland, tasteless, stale. 4.50 EACH for cannoli is embarrassing. If the food was nice I wouldn’t be bothered about spending that amount but to not even have a decent meal at the end of it? Terrible

We used to visit here quite regularly, however, the prices are quite steep compared to some other Italian restaurants near by. The pizzas are fabulous, as is the gelato, but the rest of the food is just ok. I always feel down by the desserts which are very expensive, look amazing but never quite taste as good as they look. They now have a bike rental service blended in with the restaurant - which I appreciate has been a business arrangement to keep the restaurant going in hard times, but has also, for me, compromised the restaurants atmosphere.

I came across Casa Mia’s deserts when visiting Hebden Bridge, they had a cake stall that immediately caught my attention with authentic and fresh deserts and wow I was blown away. If you are ever in the area, check them out and be sure to try the cannoli as i will sure to be going back for more.

29th of April at 19:45PM I purchased 2 pizzas for take away. One Quatro Fourmaggi with extra Pepperoni medium size and a large Quatro Stagionni. Paid £21 at the restaurant as I ordered there. We had the pizza and after 3 hours both myself and my boyfriend started to have stomach pain. We spent our night and morning on the toilet being sick, throwing up and with dyarheea. Extremely bad feeling I do not remember in my whole life to feel so sick and have such a bad food poison. Very disappointed.

The restaurant is a little basic but the food was lovely, the waitress attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely go again

Ordered 5 cannoli's from the stall at Hebden Bridge market. We were very taken aback by the price, £4.50 each. When we mentioned this the stall holder arrogantly told us they were hand rolled and using ricotta from Italy. Despite being thoroughly unimpressed by this explanation and my reservations on the value, we purchased them. What a disappointment, the lauded ricotta tasteless, chocolate unpleasant and the pastry thick and dry. I'm pretty sure they were not fresh and having now read the company reviews it seems this is not an unusual experience.

Hospitality was lovely. Friendly staff. But the food didn't sit well with most of us. It just didn't hit that spot when you can't help but mmmmmm. Pretty bland dishes. Took 4 attempts to get a bottle of wine they had. And not much of a vegan friendly venue. Plus the bikes in the front was a huge turn off. But staff was friendly

Went at 4pm Sunday, place was completely empty. No one to greet us, had to find a member of staff. Sat at table 10 mins and not even a drink order taken. 2 dirty tables at entrance and no attempt to clear them. Worrying when a restaurant is completely empty on a Sunday afternoon.

Staff very helpful and accommodating

We used to be regulars but haven't been for sometime. However the food and service were good We had two great pizza's and two kids meals which are great value for money! The only downside was it was very quiet for 7:30 Saturday evening.

Tried one Cannolo at the market. No even closer to a nice dessert.. i understand that finding good quality ingredients is difficult but to be honest was awful. No taste at all. What a shame being rapresented by this. 4 pound 🤦🏾‍♀️ Ripped off.

Do not get takeaway from here. The food was incredibly low quality and cold when we received it. It was late and one of the worst takeaways we have ever had. Do not be deceived by the website. It was incredibly low value for money. It would be a better bet to get a ready meal supermarket if you fancy Italian and a lot cheaper.

I was sad to see that this restaurant was really quiet on a Saturday afternoon just a couple of weeks before Christmas. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Absolutely amazing cakes!! The Cannoli are my favourite, the donuts are to die for and the fruit cakes, no words. Everything is so fresh and tasting like Home made, love it!! We met these guys at the Malvern Show and can’t wait to go visit their restaurant in Leeds for some good authentic Italian food !! Grazie mille!!

The stall on Todmorden market, selling all the gorgeous cakes on Saturday is well worth a visit. The man is so lovely and friendly, loved my choice, will go again when I want a special treat - because I deserve itxx

Embarsing, chicken in that picture was £6.50 and cold never mind what you see, smash for potato's and olives on the pizza all had stones in them, would have showed more but binned it..got a refund but no standards obviously.. Half an hour late as well, thanks for runining a Saturday night treat..real taste of Italy.. Shake your heads you are a joke

Sounds like people are easily pleased by the reviews for this place. I have been here few times friendly staff, pizza, chips, strawberry cheesecake and strawberry ice-cream is nice. The black forest cake was not great and oreo cake. Pricy food not worth it as the food is not great. I have been to better Italian restaurants.

Vile food! Went in on Sunday for breakfast. I have ordered egg Benedict and my husband ordered egg florentine. The bread wasn’t even toasted, ham looked like it was 99pence and taken of pizza (I am sure they use same for their pizzas) the sauce tasted of vinegar and salad cream. Same goes for my husbands food. Horrendous! The only good thing was the coffee, it was really nice. Can’t comment on lunch menu, but breakfast is vile! Don’t bother, I know I won’t!

Called in on a Friday night for a meal without booking as an alternative venue had let us down. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The menu was very varied and reasonably priced. The food was excellent, some of the best Italian food we have eaten in the UK. We would definitely recommend a visit here and will be returning on our next visit to the area.

Unplanned stop for lunch. Tried to order a half and half pizza which seemed ok, but two pizzas turned up. Felt a bit cheeky to say we didn't want it so ended buying it to takeaway! Really nice food though. The waiter was really engaging with my son's though which is always a nice touch

ordered take away via deliveroo 2 dishes were inedible and one was prepared incorrectly had we been in the restaurant we would have sent back very disappointed

I visited this morning to treat my sister for a special birthday breakfast, it was really disappointing. I ordered a full English, which was really greasy, the scrambled egg was piled on top of the 1 slice of toast making it all soggy and unappetising. My sister ordered the scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms. The mushrooms were overdone and dry looking. There was no code to scan for track and trace. Felt like such a waste of money, paying for food that wasn't nice and that we didn't finish. Would not recommend for breakfast.

Oh dear, what a dismal Monday night Covid-affected experience. Zero atmosphere, extraordinarily slow service, though only a couple of tables were occupied. We weren't offered wine with the meal, or desserts. Staff training is a desperate priority. I seem to recall that the online history blurb blabs on about the early history of Francesco and Marta (?) running the business but I guess they're pretty remote from the day-to-day supervision of the restaurant these days, judging from the service we experienced. And, strangely, the place is full of bicycles...weird!! To the food: my pasta al forno was about 8 pieces of penne in a swampy creamy/tomato-ish sauce with odd hard cheese topping and lots of mozzarella. I suspect it had gone from freezer to microwave to grill, but maybe that's not right. It was certainly alarmingly hot. I'm sure Francesco or Marta would be eager to cast light on chef's practices. Anyway, I won't rush back, but don't let a single miserable night's experience put you off. I'm sure there are lots of loyal diners....its now a very big affair, considerably enlarged since the early deli days 20+ years ago when there were just a couple of tables and Francesco, or more often Marta, paid attention to what they had to offer.

Amazing pizza, one of the best I have ever had with an interesting selection of deserts and juices to enhance the Italian experience that is presented in a clean, bright cafe that has plenty of friendly and helpful staff. The pizza selection is plentiful with large amounts of very stringy mozzarella that tastes deeelish. The cafe is quite clean and the service is reliable. Great experience overall

Casa Mia is by far the tastiest Italian takeaway in Leeds. Traditional Italian food, robust classic flavours, and big hearty portions. I have absolutely no idea how anyone could give this place less than 5 stars. The pizza dough is a masterful blend of thin & crispy whilst also being pliant & chewy, traditionally baked, and then smothered generously with quality mozzarella and rich tomato sauce. I was so sick of greasy floppy pizza that tastes more like a curry than a pizza (this is just how pizza is up north, apparently) and I was overjoyed to finally find a true Italian pizza! Much better than ECCO or la Besi. Their tomato sauce was so delicious that I had to ask for the recipe. You will not be disappointed.

Jestem mile zaskoczona. Zazwyczaj dania zamawiane w restauracjach smakują "puszką" tymczasem zupa dnia, Minestrone- smaczna, sałatka z kurczakiem przepyszna a kawa wyśmienita! Miła obsługa. Jedyne co mi odrobinkę przeszkadzało to mało przestrzeni w ogródku - dużo miejsca zajmują rowery do wynajęcia. Ogólnie polecam .

Good food for lunch. What they do they do well. Limited wine list. I think it is a little expensive for its location and what it has too offer. However, it's always busy and has a loyal following.

This place is not only a restaurant, it's where you can hire our buy bicycles. Brilliant idea.

NO SOCIAL DISTANCING, DIDN’T CLEAN THE TABLE NEXT TO US AFTER PEOPLE HAD LEFT AND SEATED OTHER DINERS ON IT, OWNER NOT WEARING A MASK, OLD CARDBOARD MENUS, NO TRACK AND TRACE. I don’t know what is happening to this restaurant but it has definitely gone down hill. My wife and I have been going to this restaurant since it first opened over 20 years ago. I booked a table for last night a week in advance. When we arrived they did not have us down on the list although we did get a table in the corner. We were given cardboard menus which surprised us as we expected to have to download the menu or get plastic ones which could be cleaned properly. Nobody took our details for track and trace purposes. The people on the next table to us left and the staff did not clean the table. I was unhappy at the proximity of the table to us and when we saw them pull a chair around to the side of the table which was about 12inches away from me, my wife spoke to the owner. He said that he would push our table in the corner and I could sit facing the wall with my back to the other person and that would be ok. My wife said that I would then still be 12 inches or less away from the other person but he said that was alright. We left as we didn’t feel safe. The owner was rude and obnoxious and didn’t care about COVID 19 safety for his customers at all. What a lovely way to treat loyal long standing customers. Also I would just like to add that the atmosphere was awful, there are bikes everywhere, it felt like sitting in a bike shop. Needless to say we will not be going back ever again. We have previously been to the Agraah at Chapel Allerton and the Konak restaurant in Horsforth who are both doing an excellent job with regards to Covid. I would suggest that the owner of Casa Mia have a look at these restaurants as he might learn something.

I am not impressed with the way the managers / owners talk to their staff who are trying their best to do a good job in a busy & chaotic environment - there is no need for such rudeness. The managers need to realise that their behaviour doesn't escape the notice of customers and doesn't create a good atmosphere. Nor is it the way to get the best out of their staff. Their attitude has put me off going back.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal at Casa Mia! The service was unbeatable, safety precautions top notch and the food was remarkable. Already excited for my next visit!

Very disappointed in our delivery tonight. Grilled fish was not grilled but oven baked, it was supposed to be served with a salad but it came with mashed potatoes. The aubergine parmigiana was most definitely reheated form frozen and not freshly cooked. The calzone Nutella was not Nutella but just some cheap chocolate sauce. The most disappointing meal I have had in a long time, there was nothing Italian about it. Will not order from here again.

Ahhh soooo disappointing! Used to be obsessed! The pizza i got today was watery and sooo bad, Lemon tart was like scrambled egg, ordered strawberry tart got mixed fruit. Used to be amazing! Not good now :(

Pizza is light and tasty, nothing like most greasy ones around, cakes are delicious and the valpolicella ripasso red wine they have is to die for !

By far the worst resteraunt for quality price and service .... Missing items in 3 parts of the meal ... Spaghetti and meatballs 13 pounds for unseasoned watery runny meatballs and and pasta.. chips overcooked with no bread with it wich it stated .... Mushrooms were just garlic mushrooms with no sauce and bread was at the bottom so was just super soggy Pizza calzone with Nutella (p.s it wasn't nutella )no chocolate cream and no vanilla ice cream ... The only thing I could say was the seasonal vegetables were nice .. The topping on the cake plastic in my 2 year olds spaghetti meal .. Proving my case about the qaulity of the meal ...... And I have to wait 48 hours for a review from deliveroo for it to be resolved I will be obtaining a full refund for my meal for 2 spaghetti and meatballs chips mushrooms and a pudding for a whopping overprice of 56 pounds ..or I will be taking my complaint further to food and trading standards .! Concidering me and my partner order off deliveroo 3-4 times a week the worst qaulity and worst price in my entirety of deliveroo ordering for bog standard food . You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself as a business and deliveroo should ban your resteraunt for complete miss advertisement on the discriptions of what your receiving .

Very good place the food it's very good

Disappointed with our experience this evening. Was happy to see our local Italian open for deliveries and was looking forward to our pizzas. so disappointing - ordered 3 pescatore pizzas which arrived looking very sparse ..a couple of prawns (not very fresh prawns) and a couple of bits of calamari...no tuna or anchovies as per description on menu. Sorry Cara mia such a shame as won’t be ordering from you again.

Excellent food and even better service. Kids loved our Valentines night out with some special love heart ballooons too. Definitely Coming back...

Food quality was average. Pizza quattro stagioni is not made with onions and peppers...and tagliatelle is not the same as spaghetti.

Great service, very accommodating

Was a very friendly and warm welcome from the waiter. There was only 2 other tables in the restaurant so i did get attention and service. Some of the food we ordered came cold/ some boiling hot. Could tell the meatballs where microwaved. Pizza was fresh but it felt like it had just been left to the side and gone cold. Waiter was unhelpful and said we can take it up with the owner when he arrives. We didn’t wait, as we had somewhere to be. I would not go here again as ive heard good and bad about this place but i experienced bad! If the waiter was able to offer replacement food or free pizza next time to make up for it, would have kept us happy, but she basically could not do anything about from say wait for the owner (franco i think)

Shocked at the service hopefully the staff were new and inexperienced but I got a takeout i had a pram so my hands were full i got my order given a foil tin with pasta a box of pizza . No bag lol i embarrassingly struggled one gand on the pram holding the food trying to get outthe shop . I had a long way to walk so i thought we could eat the pizza . Opened the box and they didnt slice it as they normally do . The food was ok but i cant say id rush back there again it used to be my fave take away

The food is amazing but after one pizza delivery I don't seem to be able to order now. They don't accept my Adel address on their own website, don't seem to be on Just Eat and won't pick up the phone. Where are you Casa Mia?

Just try the tomato garlic bread! It's a starter that hints at the fabulous food to come. Great atmosphere and brilliant staff. I've been going here for years and now and the quality has never wavered. Love it.

Had a good fruity tart and a decent cappuccino although the staff wasn't that great and had a feeling to be rushed out.

I have been a few times, I keep forgetting how mediocre it is and venture in once every few years. Must remember not to!

Received email offering loyalty card, completed online. Visited with a friend and my son, Advised staff we had a card, they were unaware of the online scheme? however agreed to provide 2 for 1 deal. Then advised 2 for 1 was only for pasta dishes on Tuesdays? - Ordered 3 pizzas and they arrived cold? We rejected one and ate half of another, when I advised I was not prepared to pay for cold food I was asked to wait for the owner Francesco to arrive and take it up with him, he arrived and to say he was unable to deal with the complaint was an understatement. Francesco denied the food was cold and claimed it was out of an oven at 400 degrees and that he had CCTV which would prove it? He ranted and raved at me for too long claiming I had upset other diners and his young staff, he stated he had called the police and insisted we wait until they arrived, when we tried to leave he demanded payment for the bottle of beer on our order and stood blocking the front door to the restaurant taking close up photographs of my face with his phone and demanding that my guests have their photos takes as well? After about 25 minutes I argued that he could not keep us in the restaurant against our will and that the police may not arrive for hours or even days he finally let us leave! Not an experience I would wish to repeat. Ironically he has written to me advising that the management have considered my application for a loyalty card and cannot provide one at this time. Following my visit I have discussed this with many people and discovered that my friends relative used to work as chef at the restaurant, his advice was, no matter how hungry you are, do not eat there, the kitchen is filthy.
