Carsons Peking Cantonese in Mansfield

I think this is the worst Chinese I've had. The dishes were bland but the ones that had flavour tasted off or strange. Really genuinely unenjoyable. My partner got food poisoning from the meal and he usually has an iron clad stomach. The lamb and pancakes was so gross I couldn't eat it. It was 80% fat and tasted off too. We bought a lot and most of it went in the bin. I also ordered duck spring rolls and there was no duck in them. The squid was not salt and pepper squid at all. It was just battered squid. Not spicy at all and very tough. The literal only thing I could eat was the side portion of curry sauce I bought and that is just powder and water.

Duck uncooked fat, hardly any meat. Noodles cold & curry sauce cold. Wouldn’t order again

No update on the website so no way of knowing until I phoned them … they rushed it to us after I called … lovely and polite delivery. DELICIOUS food … worth the wait …

Food was late and I was given chicken gyoza when I ordered vegetarian ones.

Food was ok apart from Sweet and sour chicken. The sauce has way too much vinegar making it unpleasant to eat.

Carrying on from my just eat review as it didn’t let me finish…. Ordered for the first time from here today… fast delivery but the food was very bland no flavour what so ever and the sauces considering the price of each one were nothing but watery no flavour at all couldn’t even taste the curry or satay sauce. Very disappointed and put me off eating it completely. Won’t be ordering from here again I’m afraid.

The food was only just worm and one of the meals was rather dry.

the Katsu chicken was literally just breaded chicken.... did I need to order separate katsu sauce???? who knows. egg fried rice wasn't very eggy, but other than that all good

I don’t usually write reviews but this has to be the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had.. everything was cooked perfectly and we even got fortune cookies!! This will be my go to for Chinese food from now on, there is nothing that I bought that I’d don’t enjoy which is very surprising! The chicken chow was extremely flavourful and the chicken almost fell apart in your mouth which was a beautiful experience as normally the meats are over cooked and rubbery in other places I’ve ordered from in the past. Id definitely recommend these guys, my favourite out of all of the dishes I received was the sweet and sour chicken and the beef in black bean sauce. The beef was so soft, not chewy at all! The best in Nottinghamshire.. and I’ve ordered from many :) well done guys!

Salt and pepper Box contains no salt or pepper no seasoning. What did does contain over or undercooked bits of dry chicken Fridays chips HONEST NOTHING SORT OF FECKING SHOCKING ...

Nicest Chinese we've had in a long time. Instructions followed correctly regarding personalised orders. We live in Blidworth but this is much nicer than our local Chinese, which has gone downhill

Ordered at 6 to be delivered at 8 to then get a message to say it’s on its way. Twenty more minutes and still no ordered ended up having to go to the store after speaking to them on the phone to only have to wait any half an hour for my food to be cooked. Will not order from here again

The food never turned up even after being told it was on the way, when I rang and asked they just told me to cancel it

First time ordering from here, but glad I did. The food arrived nice and hot, well cooked and very tasty. They also offer stamp cards for you to collect with each order, so that’s a bonus. Will definitely order from here again

We've had food from here a few times and has been good in the past, unfortunately this time the food was so salty it was barely edible.

Really nice food. Had the salt and pepper box for 2 and as with the other reviewer had some chicken balls missing and all the samosas. I'm guessing the fact it's not even on the paper menu, and the same box has different items when buying on their website is the reason for this. Definitely check your box if you order this

Whilst quality of food was(and is notmally) good. Today's food was overpowering salty, and I had to throw some out as couldn't stand it.

Disapointed. Wasn't enought prawns I wanted for the prawns, chicken was dry in the chicken balls but the batter was undercooked. Salt and pepper chips had near to no seasoning and tasted realy bland. Definitely not good quality for the price it cost. Will not be ordering again

First time we have tried this place. AMAZING food! So tasty and hot. My other half is vegetarian and he was really happy to so much choice including soups he can have

Exactly what we've been looking for! Since moving, my husband and I have been struggling to find a Chinese with enough veggie options that we both liked. We'll now, I'm going to be ordering from here and only here. The veggie mock duck, chow mein and salt and pepper tofu are unbelievable. Can't wait for our next meal!

Ordered the salt and pepper starter for 2. It was tasty but some items were missing so slightly disappointing.

Rang the number. No answer. Rang the other number, lady seemed surprised I was calling I asked if they were open as per what the menu said, she muttered something and told me to wait. I rang back again and a man answered started giving my order and he cut me off speaking to someone else twice. I gave up and went somewhere else. Poor phone service, only just opened and delivered menus through door but that's not how you get business.

Under new ownership, below average food…all meat dishes over cooked and chewy, kung po prawns in a sauce which tasted like tomato soup, really disappointing

Ordeed beef curry and rice .... got chicken curry ... didnt phone 5o complain just been on a 13 hour shift

Tasty food and excellent pleasant staff I love their food.

One of the best Chinese take away around here they are allways happy to take your order they allways double check at the end of the order to make sure you have told them all your items I would highly recommend this place to everyone
